Episode 2.04 You Can’t Always Get What You Want
Overview:
Brooke’s new neighbor quickly makes his presence felt among the Tree Hill gang and even comes to Brooke’s rescue when she is caught shoplifting. Nathan and Haley have their first post-wedding argument when he buys her a gift rather than a much-needed car. Lucas’ attempt to help Dan with rehab ends in disaster when Dan reverts to his old ways. Peyton tries to organize an all-ages club and is tempted to try cocaine to seal the deal.
Recap:
Brooke finds a naked Hispanic in her swimming pool. Yep, it turns out a new bad boy has just arrived in town, and his name is Felix. He is Brooke’s new neighbor and he is definitely hitting on her, but she doesn’t seem impressed. Nathan, Lucas, Peyton and Haley don’t seem to like Felix that much either. And when Brooke tells the gang that Felix is totally bossing people around, Peyton points out: “He is YOU in pants”.
Nathan continues working at the dealership and Dan isn’t pleased about it. Meanwhile, Peyton has a great idea: an all-ages club where even teen-agers can listen to the rock bands and spend the night with friends. Unfortunately, the man who can find Miss Goldilocks some good musicians, tempts her to snort cocaine. “What do you say?” he asks, temptingly.
It seems Dan is drowning in self-pity, or at least this is what he wants Deb to think; so Lucas brings him to walk around the house.
Karen’s first lesson at University can get started. Her professor, Andy, is in his thirties and he is definitely interested in Karen.
Haley and Nathan need a car, but Nathan buys her a keyboard so she can practice her musical talent. They end up arguing over what she thinks is a frivolous purchase. Anyway, Keith resolves the whole issue: he and Nathan will fix an old car together. Nathan and Haley make up.
Dan and Lucas spend a nice afternoon together, but when they seem to be bonding like in a real father-son relationship, Dan tries to buy Lucas by offering him a beautiful car. Lucas doesn’t look exactly thrilled with the generous offer.
Brooke is shocked because her parents are broke and they might lose everything they’ve always owned. When she is caught shoplifting, someone unexpected helps her out: Felix.
Karen likes Peyton’s idea about the all-ages club: she is definitely eager to make this project real, and Peyton couldn’t be happier.
Andy shows up at Karen’s Cafè, ordering a good coffee. Meanwhile, someone is naked in Felix’s swimming pool: Brooke, of course. When Felix arrives, she comes out, remarking “my pool is better”. Felix watches her walking away and smiles.
