Episode 2.06 We Might As Well Be Strangers

Overview:

After Dare Night resulted in new arrangements; a midnight meteor shower finds Lucas sharing a romantic night with Anna. Andy surprises Karen with a dinner and Keith cooks for Jules on their first date. Brooke finds herself forming a mutually beneficial relationship with Felix, and Peyton sets out to find an opening act for her club.

Recap:

A midnight meteor shower is coming in Tree Hill and Dan tells Deb he is going to spend the weekend at their beach house. He asks her to join in and she kind of accepts, even though she isn’t that thrilled.

While Peyton is looking for talented singers who could perform at Karen’s all-ages club, Nathan tries to convince Haley to have a go. Unfortunately Haley doesn’t feel ready. She is scared of singing in front of people.

Anna catches up with Lucas at school; he is quite surprised as he hasn’t heard from her since the ‘Dare Night’. Anna tells him there was a reason: Felix, her - beloved - brother. Lucas starts to figure out why she didn’t call. Meanwhile, Brooke’s parents, who are still broke, decide to sell some furniture. That’s why Brooke has to face the loss of her beautiful doll-house.

Good news for Nathan: he got in High Flyers, a famous summer campsite in Florida where he will practise basketball in order to become a champion in his next future. Anyway, Nathan isn’t eager to leave Haley for three months; besides, without his help, Haley might not afford the rent of their apartment. Haley’s opinion is definitely different: he does not have to waste such a wonderful opportunity. Anyway, Nathan decides to give up High Flyers’ chance because he wants to help Haley starting her steps as a singer.

In the meantime, it seems Brooke has finally given in… the era “Felix-Brooke Friends with Benefit” can get started but Brooke makes it clear emotions are not involved. Well, not yet. Elsewhere, Lucas is pressuring Anna to inform Felix about them. The girl assures Lucas she will talk to him as soon as possible. Unluckily as soon as Felix sees Anna and Lucas together, he warns his sister not to go out with him since he is a bad boy.

Keith invites Julia to dinner and they get on really well. So do Andy and Karen, who spend a nice evening together as well. But it’s meteor shower time and everyone is looking up the sky.

The next day, while Deb is pointing out Dan has to move out of their house, the phone rings. Although this is not true, Dan tells Deb that the doctor has just said he’s not getting better.

Peyton has finally chosen the name for Karen’s club: Tric. And someone shows up: Rick.

Karen informs Lucas she is going out with a person younger than her. Lucas assures her he can live with that.
In the meantime, Mouth drops in on Brooke’s - almost - empty house. He is carrying Brooke’s doll-house in his hands. Honey Mouth told her he bought it back because he understood that little house was really important to her.
