Overview:
Lucas takes Anna to the semi-formal but by the end of the night ends up with Brooke. Haley arrives late to the formal which angers Nathan; because he finds out that she has been spending time with Chris. Meanwhile, Peyton struggles with pressure to do drugs.
Recap:
It’s formal night and of course nothing goes as planned.
Nathan’s mood isn’t the best ever: he has been waiting for Haley as she was having a rehearsal with Chris. As soon as Nathan learns Haley has been singing with Chris since he and Lucas went to Charlotte, he isn’t exactly thrilled. Haley points out that this is not about Chris. Besides, even though she is sorry Nathan didn’t get into High Flyers, it’s not fair for him to take it out on her. Nathan suggests that she goes home and looks in his top drawer. “You’ll see a letter from high flyers. Read that. Then talk to me about fair.”
Brooke finds out Felix didn’t take care of her the night she was drunk. And it turns out Brooke has to tell Felix something.”I am not gonna let you in! You don’t get to have me; not my body and sure as hell not my heart! We’re done”.
Peyton is wearing her mother’s dress but she feels miserable and lonely. Even Felix treats her badly and hints, - totally out of the blue - that she is a lesbian. Anna agrees with her brother, saying: “Yeah. Don’t be so gay Peyton”. Our beloved Goldilocks is really hurt, since Anna was supposed to be her friend.
Dan tells Lucas he knows he backed out of the HCM test. Lucas replays that, at least, he is not lying about the results, as Dan.”Your doc told me you aced the test. Guess you were planning on keeping that to yourself”. Dan assures he is only trying to get his family back.
After getting drunk, Anna wants to have sex with Lucas, but he stops her saying they should slow down. So, she backs off, wondering why she is having such a contradictory behaviour. Then she points out she needs to be alone.
It turns out Peyton is going to do cocaine again, but, thanks God, she ends up trowing the drug away.
Dan owns up to Deb the truth about his health conditions. As soon as he claims he is ready to move out of their home, Deb stops him: she wants to give him another opportunity, but Mr. Scott had better not mess things up again, because this is his last chance.
Later, Lucas catches up with Brooke, who can’t stop wondering why everyone seems to enjoy lying to her. “You know, the bad guys lie to get in your bed… and the good guys…lie to get in your heart. And I’m the idiot that falls for it every time.” After throwing out wise gems, Lucas gets Brooke home.
And someone is peeping them: Felix.

Hello, One Tree Hill Blog!
I wanted to know what song was playing in the background when Nathan approaches Haley at the Beach to discuss her song and, if she was “into” Chris Keller.
I searched up the song listings for Season 2 Episode 9 and i couldn’t find the song.
