4.05 I Love You but I’ve Chosen Darkness

Overview:

Nathan gets two surprises in a row, and everyone is eager to share their advice with him; Deb also shares something she picked up; and Brooke decides to celebrate. Peyton’s stalker (her brother) attacks her and her real brother saves her along with Lucas.

Recap:

Lucas is in the hospital, accompanying his mother to her prenatal appointment when he came upon a girl who looks an awful lot like a hooker. In fact, she is dressed up in a curly blond wig and wearing Peyton’s jacket. Besides she’s bleeding in the exact same place where Peyton was shot in the leg. Lucas asks her who it was who did this to her but she says she’s just clumsy. Anyway, she does give him back the jacket. Later, Lucas returns it, but Peyton doesn’t believe any of the bad things Lucas thinks about Derek; she believes her friend is just jealous. She’s happy to get the jacket back, but the note from Ellie seems to be lost forever.
Meanwhile, Nathan gets the most important call of his life: he has got a full scholarship to Duke! And after weeks of knowing, Haley picks that time to tell him that she’s pregnant. Nathan’s perplexed. And just then he gets a call from Rachel, and he leaves Haley to go see her. Even though Rachel is ready to get romantic, Nathan has breaking news: Haley is pregnant! Rachel suddenly comes clean. She didn’t see Keith at the accident. Rachel tells him that maybe his dead uncle saved his life because he was destined for greatness. She asks him if Haley wasn’t pregnant, would she have a shot? Nathan says "not a chance". Rachel asks Nathan how is Haley doing, and Nathan replies she is just scared as he is. Rachel assures him they shouldn’t be worried. "Unlike the rest of us, this baby’s going to have two pretty great parents. Good luck".
Haley tells Brooke that she told Nathan, who, unfortunately, was less than trilled. However, Brooke is enthusiastic and she can’t wait to announce to the Tree Hill High student body that she is not pregnant!
The fake Derek stalks Peyton, but Lucas and the real Derek manage to protect her.
Nathan has a press conference, because he got a scholarship to Duke University. He makes a little speech about Haley: they will face the whole thing together, he has never been happier and he loves her. As Whitey tells Dan, it turns out Nathan does not want history repeats itself.
Thanks to Rachel, Brooke might have found a new love interest.
