Overview:

The aftermath of the series of unfortunate events at Tree Hill begins. Lucas returns to his everyday life, following his heart attack, and tries to rekindle his relationship with Peyton. However, things are rougher for Haley when she discovers that Nathan had more involvement in her accident than she could have ever imagined.

Recap:

Lucas is back in school and Peyton can’t help but think that Lucas had the heart attack because of her, since everybody around her will either leave or die. "Dreams are e-mails for ghosts" is Peyton’s bottom line.
Nathan tells Haley the truth about Daunte and she can’t believe it. In the end, she forgives him and comes back home.
It turns out that when Nathan beat Daunte up, he was already dead. It turns out that while Nathan is thinking of turning himself in, Dan is set free.
When Karen finds out Dan was going to take the blame of Daunte’s death in order to save Nathan, she hugs him. Elsewhere, Lucas tells Peyton he is not going anywhere and points out he woke up from the coma because he wanted to stay with her.
Since Brooke failed math ("I’m not book smart, I’m Brooke smart and there is a big difference!"), Davis and Reckless Red Hair steal the exam, which could save Brooke’s graduation, thanks to Haley’s key, who ignores the whole thing. Unfortunately Principal Turner shows up, so Rachel and Brooke end up pretending they are at school because they want to join the Clean Teens.
As soon as Deb escapes rehab by making a rope out of sheets, she finds out she could have just checked herself out since that was a voluntary clinic.
A new eventful day in Tree High. Gigi and Mouth break up; Rachel and Brooke’s "clean" lives can get started. Peyton catches up with Lucas in the hallway. He tells her he has been waiting for her. Peyton is positive he waited long enough. Then, they kiss.
