Let me just say it’s hard to find info about Robbie Jones. And there’s a reason! Robbie is a 25 year old newcomer to TV. Robbie will be playing Quentin, the new Ravens basketball star. Playing the part should feel familiar as Robbie was a high school basketball star at Cordova High School. Robbie then went on to play in college at Cal and Canada College (majoring in American Studies) before heading off to play in the American Basketball Association. Robbie started in the entertainment business after he landed a few commercials through some contacts and then with his friends encouragement enrolled in some acting classes. One audition later he was one of three finalist to play in a network pilot which eventually didn’t make it itself.

The One Tree Hill opportunity came up and since he was known as an actor in that world, One Tree Hill folks weren’t sure whether he could fulfill the athletic part of the Quentin role. He quickly showed them his basketball skills and landed the part. Robbie just finished filming for One Tree Hill and is now living in North Hollywood.

Okay, very random, but I’m pretty sure he is on a Nike New Balance commercial. I just saw it a few minutes ago and the person on the commercial looked just like him.

Just a minor correction to the post above–Robbie Jones is not 25 years old. I went to Cal and he and I graduated the same year (2000).

OMG! I love Robbie Jones as quentin. i cant believe the last episode of One Tree Hill. Quentin was just beginning to become a great guy and finally find himself. it made me extremely sad that he had to die!

why that can happen ? so we will not anymore see robbie on scene? it very sad.i would like to see him again on scene ,please ONE TREE HILLS can you just change that part , we don’t want to miss him, is a good character.

omgosh why did they kill Q i cant believe it i totally didnt see that coming i wonder why they had to add that into the story especially since jamie looked up to him so much!

I am mad as h*** that they had to kill Quentin off, if he needed to leave the show they could have done it differently ,I am not watching one tree hill any more.

Robbie Jones is my hero. He used to go to my church when I was 4 and when I turned 8 he left. I’m 17 now but Im sad he was killed off OTH!

He could easily be 25…just because he graduated with you doesn’t mean he is the same age as you. Some people graduate early, and some graduate late….

It sucks that he died… but at the same time it adds a better dramatic quality to the show. people die… and in a way he was a young black version of nathan when he was in high school. and the show might have ended up hitting a wall with him… things had to go differently… and while differently nicer would have been NBA… differently this way adds a dramatic twist in a situation that was getting too cozy. don’t get me wrong i like it but peyton/lucas were too happy, nathan/jamie/haley were too happy, and nobody really knows about dan or brooke’s real situation (except deb) yet. it sucks trust me i liked quentin… but something had to give… unfortunately it was him

OMG..!! One Tree Hill Rulezz… I luv it .. its has a sad ending that quentin dies… but jamies cute… the rest are really good actors… love to see all of the One Tree Hill casts… 1 day.. i don’t know when though.. but HOPEFULLY 1 day..

Judging his performance on One Tree Hill, Robbie has a excellent future in acting. He has chrisma and looks comfortable in front of the camera. I have heard he also played in the CBA but I can’t confirm this for sure.

I swear tv shows are all the same. You just can’t have more than one black person playing a lead role unless you are some BET network or UPN…a network people don’t really watch WTF. I swear every year I get older I am starting to believe all the stuff my parents told me about racism back in their day. Alive and well it seems! Good luck to you Robbie, you were great on the show. I hope it was your decision to leave. If not, I wish you bigger and better!

I was shocked he was killed off the show. He had so much promise with his storyline. I keep hoping it was a hoax to keep him from identifying the robber. Oh well, my OTH days watching are numbered.

I just got involved with Tree Hill…………I am such a new comer. It’s a great show.
BUT I was extremely upset when they killed Q off. I cried too guys!!!! I went straight to the internet inquiring why. Then I was like they dont have him apart of the cast on the CW site. I was mad about that. Still couldn’t find info……until today. As a new comer to the show I didnt know he wasn’t a regular. Then like someone else said he was so fun and added to the show not to mention he was loved by everyone.
I will always miss Q as long as I am a Tree Hill fan.
Robbie, continue doing your thing. You are truely blessed and a great actor. Keep it up!!! God Bless!!!!
