Amy’s Reaction to 5.01 and 5.02:

I thought that was a great set of episodes. The only thing that was questionable was the interviewer guy on the red carpet. I’m sorry, that was some bad acting and cheesy. I’m really sorry if you’re reading this, red carpet man.
OK, Nathan. That was an awful fall and it was NASTY. I feel bad that happened the NIGHT BEFORE the draft. But I’m glad we’re seeing the tail end of his spiral downwards because that is depressing to see Nathan act that way around Jamie. That was cool at the end when he threw himself in the pool. Some of the people at our viewing party (ok, there was only four of us but it counts) that thought he was doing it to hurt himself but Heather and I both thought he was doing it for physical therapy to help himself. Good to see he’s read to help himself.
Next up is Haley. I like how she actually struggled to be a teacher at first. Haley always thought she was meant to be a teacher and then faced with someone like Quentin and she totally loses it. It was good to see her come out with a backbone at the end even though Quentin still throws it in her face.
And while we’re at it, let’s talk about Quentin. Wow. What a jerk. I really was not expecting someone quite so rude. The spoilers and interviews just really didn’t give it justice. Robbie seems so nice in his interviews! So great performance from him!
I can’t move on until I talk about Jamie! EVERY time he came on screen we were saying He’s so cute!!! And he is! Great job! They wrote some really cute, funny lines for him and he really pulled it off. He stole the show, let me tell you!
Next up is Peyton. Peyton seems lost once again. And it’s a good thing. I like dark and twisty Peyton better. I’m glad to see her back in Tree Hill. Does anyone think it sort of mirrors Hilarie’s life and how she started a production company in Wilmington so they could stay there and work?
As for Lucas and Lucas and Peyton….He loves Peyton still! He writes for her! He misses her! I can’t believe she was at that book signing. I totally did not see that coming when we first saw Lucas and Lindsey kiss at the book signing. Ah, another love story torn in two.
Can I just say I really like Lindsey as a person but I REALLY DISLIKE seeing her and Lucas together. Honestly, I want to put my hands over my eyes when they are hugging and kissing. I’m like NO that is not the right person.
That scene when Lindsey and Brooke met was really funny and having Lucas walk in on them. Very nice.
Speaking of Brooke. I like Brooke. A lot. Back in season 1, I really didn’t like Brooke and if I would have started in Season 5, she would have been one of my favorites. I like how she takes charge. How she supports Peyton. How she takes care of Jamie. She looks great and she’s not pining after Lucas. Sorry, I’m a Leyton fan to the core. Brucas fans, don’t hate.
Mouth is up next I guess. Poor guy. He’s working so hard. I DO NOT LIKE Alice. Wow. What a rude person. And don’t these two end up together at some point??
Looks like Skills, Fergie and Junk are always together. Not sure if I like that. Seems like Fergie and Junk are just tagalongs from the old days. I wish they’d either have more of a part or not be in it. Skills has the funny lines as always and I love him. But um, where was Bevin? I don’t like that they didn’t explain that one away.
I guess that covers everyone.
Overall, I think most of this was groundwork for the rest of the season and not extremely dramatic except for the Peyton being at the book signing thing. I guess the Nathan stuff was dramatic but I’d read that big scene so many times it almost seemed anti-climatic. I really have to quit reading spoilers! I love the flashbacks. I wasn’t sure about them but I really do like them. Oh except for Peyton’s hair in college. Wow, that looks bad. I think we’re up for a great season and I think this fast forward thing is really going to work!!

Heather’s Reaction:

Coming soon…someone tell her to write her reaction already! I feel like Lindsey pressuring Lucas!

Lucas: Ok, I love CMM and I love him better as LS. He is your classic artsy, mysterious guy, who is FINE.  I love the storyline and I love the fact that Peyton is his inspiration for writing.  But seriously, what is he thinking being with Lindsey?!

Peyton: Ok girl, pick a hair color….I love ya, but I’m hatin’ the hair colorsssss.  And tell me, WHY DID YOU UNBUTTON THE SHIRT?!  I was seriously disappointed.

Skills: One of my favorite characters.  He’s so funny!  I like that they have him with Jamie a lot too.

Nathan: What a jerk!  Can we say Nathan from the pilot episode.  He brought me some hope in the last mins. of 502 but we’ll see.  I can’t believe he could be like that to Jamie

Haley: Girllll….don’t let that boy talk to you like that!!!  Who does he think he is?!  You’re Nathan Scott’s wife.  You can handle that fool!

Jamie: All I could say through the whole show was “he’s so cute!!!!”  Really, really, really sweet kid.  They couldn’t of done a better job with the casting on this one!

Bevin: Where ya at?!

Junk: Yeah, not much to say but glad he’s still around.

Victoria: Go Daphne!!! I really like her character, don’t like that she wants Brooke to not be in TH.

Mouth: I love Mouth.  Brooke and him need to get together.  He’s like the sweetest guy and I don’t know who in their right mind wouldn’t want him to work for them.

Alice: ehh, she’s so mean! Who doesn’t like Mouth?

Millicent: Not much to go on yet, but she seems cool.

Lindsey: No, don’t like her.  Don’t like her with Lucas.  Can we say “buh-bye”

Quentin: And we all thought Nathan was a jerk!  He is definitely working on the trophy for that one.  I think I’ll like his character once the show gets into a few episodes but right now…what a JERK!

Brooke: Ahhh, she’s so sad….I’m glad to see her back in TH.  She’s such a good friend to Peyton.  And Was that not the funniest scene between her and Lindsey?!  I loved it!  That was probably one of my favorite scenes.

Carrie: Wayyyy too peppy for me.  She’s going to get on my nerves.

Fergie: Like Junk, glad he’s around.
