Overview:

It’s four years into the future and the Tree Hill gang has finished college. Now, their lives have taken completely different directions. Lucas has written and published a book, Brooke has made it big in the fashion industry, Peyton is pursuing a career in the music business, and Nathan and Haley continue to raise a now older James.

Live-Blogging Recap: Opens with the end of season 4 and lucas’s voiceover saying sometimes it feels like yesterday and sometimes it feels like someone else’s memory.
briefly showed lucas present day looking at the river court
jamie is playing basketball near the pool
Nathan wants to know where he got the hoop. Haley walks out and says lucas got it.
nathan argues with haley about getting rid of it
Brooke’s office talking wtih Millicent stopping to advise on outfit
talking about getting conan o’brien and getting him cheese because he likes cheese.
brooke passes by a sample magazine and she says no way she gets on my magazine that skinny gains 10 anorexia is a disease not a fashion statement cheese
Brooke tells Millicent to tell victoria to wait for me in the limo
Millicent says she’s not going to like that
Brooke says she works for me
Hilarie is in his office. wants to get her boss to listen to music
you look good. drop a button and i’ll let you set in on the morning session
Peyton does it and then he asks for aspirin
Lucas at the high school. haley and lucas in the classroom.
haley: writing not going very well
Lucas: not going at all. how’s student teaching
haley: freaking out when it’s over
lucas tells her to quit babysitting nathan.
haley says it’s only been 4 months
Flashback: NHJ in empty house and Nathan says they should get it because he’s 10th pick in the draft and they’re going to be rich
Back to present with Nathan..he’s in a wheelchair

Mouth practicing broadcasting about the Tarheels in their apartment for a job with Fergie and Junk.
Fergie gets pizza.
Mouth says he’s still
Lucas and Skills at the high school gym.
Lucas is the head coach of the Ravens. Skills is the assistant head coach.
Lucas says losing is out.
Back to Peyton’s world. Peyton introduces a band Low Versus Diamond and says they have a great sound.
Her boss gives it the nod and says we’ll go with that.
The meeting lead tells Peyton to go get them lunch menu.
Nathan is back at home and open a box of shoes.
Flashback when they introduce the shoe that is named after him NS23. It is the night before the draft and Haley says he should get some rest.
Back to present day and Nathan is looking sad.
Watch this scene: Cut to Lucas at his laptop on his desk. He’s having trouble writing and types “I suck.”
Lindsey comes in over video and asks if he’s writing and says he better be.
Lucas says he deleted a few he wrote
Lindsey says her job is on the line and he better have something.
Lucas shakes the laptop screen and says there’s an earthquake and shuts the computer.
Watch this scene: Brooke comes out on the red carpet and gets into the limo with a guy named Nick and Victoria.
Victoria kicks Nathan out even though he doesn’t want to.
Victoria says she knew he wanted something physical but they were just using him for the line.
Brooke says Victoria is rude after they are back on the road.
Victoria says they have a meeting in the morning and she just needs to look beautiful and talk about her clothes.
There is a list where one of Brooke’s friends is off the list and she doesn’t understand. Victoria wants to fire whoever they are talking about and is going to make Brooke fire her.
Brooke is at home and calls someone and leaves a message and says the fashion line is not going to work out. She says it’s not personal, just business. She seems really upset over it.
lucas brings in a postcard from ireland to jamie and he says that’s where aunt karen is
jamie points out ireland on a map on his wall and
nathan finds some hidden alcohol and lucas walks in
lucas says he heard he’d be on his feet before long
they fight over nathan taking a drink.
lucas is holding back the alcohol and jamie walks in
Lucas takes Jamie and says Let’s go.
skills, fergie, junk and mouth at the river court
skills wants to know who ate his pizza and says they owe them for the rent
lucas and jamie walk up
skills has a jersey for him and he puts it on
it swallows him up but he runs around in it. he’s so cute!
Watch this scene: Back to peyton. he asks where she’s from. she says tree hill four years ago.
he says he used to be one of them too.
he says they’re their for the money even if the music is awful.
she disagrees and says music can be something kids can believe in.
he says that’s why she’s the assistant to the assistant. she’s smart but accept the business side and play the game.
Peyton says she’s not interested.
he says she already did when she dropped that button. drop a few more and you’ll have my job.
she said i’ll have your job one day but not like that.

fergie, skills, lucas, junk and jamie playing video games
lucas celebrates by carrying jamie around
haley walks in and asks what he’s wearing
he says lucas gave it to him
lucas tells haley about giving him grief today. he tells her to push him.
jamie tells everyone bye and tells lucas he should be writing. he’s so cute!!
Cut to Peyton in LA and they show a clothes over bro’s billboard.
but to brooke on the red carpet. guy asks if she misses being young. she says of course. her dream has come true and it’s what she wished for. victoria says it’s time to go.
back to peyton walking.
back to lucas not being able to write.
back to peyton walking and stops at a table with books. she finds lucas’s book and also sees brooke’s magazine.
cut to haley getting home. she finds nathan passed out on the couch. she starts cleaning up and says they can’t be like this and jamie needs him. “please don’t come your father.”
nathan says my father is in prison and so am i.
haley says, “You can walk out.”
Cut to Peyton walking in with the magazine and the book. she puts it on the bookcase with another copy of the book.
she puts a CD in that is the An Unkindness of Ravens on CD
You hear Lucas reading the book.
Peyton sits and listens
Brooke has no messages at home
Lucas looks at some things on the wall
Peyton calls someone on the phone while she sits in her window.
She says What happened to us? I don’t know who I am or I got here.
It shows Nathan drinking in his wheelchair
Peyton says I miss who I used to be.
Nathan starts tearing his house apartment
Haley and Jamie are in bed and hear it going on downstairs.
Peyton says she wants a home again and friends.
They show a water gun fight with Mouth, Fergie, Junk, Skills
Peyton says she misses him. she misses all of it
Opens back at Lindsey’s office.
Lucas comes in and Lindsey gets off the phone.
they say hi.

he said he’s sorry, he missed his deadline and it’s not fair.
lindsey talks about the first time reading it right out of college and how the book spoke to her. she says it was great but it’s about a body of work and it’s been two years. she asks what am i supposed to do.
he says give me more time because i’m handsome.
she says close the door.
cut to brooke’s interview on the tv in brooke’s office.
victoria says that’s not a happy face of a girl with all her dreams.
they argue about her job being everything.
victoria says mulan, tomorrow. smile.
brooke is thinking about it.
Cut to another meeting with Peyton.
She says he was wrong yesterday. she says kids are there for hope. she says the day she thinks it’s about money is the day she betrays everything she believes in.
he says is that a sushi place.
peyton says I Quit
John says you’re making a mistake
peyton says no, i’m making one.
cut to nathan and jamie.
jamie says i think you drink too much
nathan says i think you’re right
haley walks in and tells jamie to come on
(jamie is so cute!)
lucas is looking at old pictures and sees peyton
peyton is coming home and is at the airport.
millicent and brooke are walking out and millicent is chattering. brooke tells her to have fun while she’s gone, you’re only young once.
nathan watches the draft on tv at home
Flashback to Nathan giving an autograph to someone that doesn’t like his team. Lucas stops him from fighting the guy.
Lucas chases Nathan out because he shouldn’t be driving.
Lucas begs him to get the limo.
Nathan agrees and gets out. Lucas is gone.
Nathan goes back in and punches the guy. They fight in the bar and Nathan goes through the window. He hits the ground on his bottom very hard. He’s yelling about not feeling his legs. Lucas runs up and there’s a big piece of glass out of his back. Lucas yells for help
Back to present and Nathan is listening to the draft. Someone else is getting his spot.

Opens back up with Peyton at the court, Lucas not writing at his laptop again, Haley putting Jamie to bed.
Jamie asks why Daddy is sad.
Haley: it’s a tough time but he loves you. you know that?
jamie: uncle lucas loves me
Back to peyton. lucas walks up at the court.
peyton: hi, how longs it been
l: two years:
peytong: longer than that
she tries to hug him and he back off
Lucas: I’m with someone
Peyton looks shocked
Brooke is walking in the airport.
Mouth is practicing while the other guys are passed out.
Peyton is back at the river court sitting on the bench. she looks at his book and she thinks back to her phone call.
Lucas is at home and looks at an engagement ring. Lindsey is behind him and says hey you, come to bed.
they hug and she says something about getting time away in tree hill for him to get back on track
Lindsey: i still love you
Lucas: i love you too
they kiss
Haley is in her classroom by herself.
you still are hearing
Nathan is playing with jamie’s hoop.
jamie walks up and sees nathan throw it.
Jamie had a picture for him but walks away.
Nathan calls him over and he gives him the picture.
Jamie walks away. Nathan calls him and Nathan stands up and says, “Daddy’s sorry for everything.” and gives him a hug. awww
the phone call from peyton is to brooke and they talk about not being happy. brooke asks what will make her happy? money? celebrity? accomplishments? i have them and it’s not enough.
Peyton says what is?
Brooke says love i think.
they show peyton back at the airport while brooke continues to talk. peyton and brooke meet at the airport and they say they miss each other adn say it’s going to be ok.
they walk out of the airport with their arms around one another.
