Overview:

Haley tries to make her husband understand his attitude has to change.
Lucas and Skills prepare a soap box racer so that James can compete in a race. Meanwhile, Brooke faces problems at her company and Peyton meets Lucas’ new girlfriend. Mouth finds a job but his boss kind of hates him.

OK, second one, here we go!

Starts out with Lucas voiceover giving update of all the people’s history and clips from 5.01
brooke walks in lucas’s room and gets on his bed and wakes up lindsey. lindsey says you’re brooke! she says you’re wearing my line!
lucas walks in and see brooke sitting on lindsey and says this hasn’t happened since college.
brooke and lucas hug and says he misses her
skills and jamie walking on main street type road. jamie has a cape. jamie says skills is paying because he’s rich.
they see a soap box derby sign up and skills tells him they have two days to pimp his ride.
cut to mouth on a real stage practicing his broadcasting again
alice walks in and asks what he’s there
he says you called about a position.
they called him about a different job behind the scenes.
Alice tells mouth he doesn’t have the face for a reporter’s job
Cut to Nathan at home practicing standing up. He falls and grunts in pain.
Haley is in school with a classroom. she says it’s her first official day. she seems nervous. she writes her name on the board.
quentin comments on her behind.
haley says that’s no way to talk to a lady
quentin says he’s sorry, just trying to give her a compliment
he says something about it again
she says to go to the office
he makes more comments and copy-cats her
they run her out of class
Brooke and Peyton are walking on the boardwalk
Brooke gets a msg from the office.
Brooke asks what happened after lucas finished his book
Flashback to Lucas calling Peyton in college. he’s asking her about a book signing. he says he wonders if he should call after how they left things. he asks to see her and she says ok.
Back to present with Lucas at basketball practice introducing him and Skills. All 12 roster spots are available. The challenge them to “go hard”. They show the guys practicing.
Jamie is in the stands watching and Haley walks in to get him.
Haley and Lucas talk. She says her day was awful and Principal Turner had to finish her classes. She tells him about Quentin as Quentin walks by.
Quentin is late and Lucas calls him out. Quentin goes and bakes a basket. The team is impressed but SKills and Lucas aren’t.

Nathan is at the pool thinking about the accident. Brooke and Peyton walk up. They’re there to help him. Haley walks out and they are surprised. Brooke and Peyton are in awe over Jamie when he walks out.
Nathan seems embarrassed or uninterested or something and wheels away.
Back at Skills apartment and Lucas and Jamie are there working on the soapbox car.
Jamie asks for pudding. Skills says if it says Junk or Fergie, then yes.
Lucas and Skills chat about the team and how Quentin is like Nathan was.
Back to Nathan and Haley by the pool.
They argue about who had the worst day.
Jamie walks out and you hear a car screech. Carrie brings in Jamie.
Brooke shows up at Mouth’s place.
Back to Carrie and Haley chatting about why she wants to be a nanny. It’s apparently an interview.
Jamie comes in all dirty and Haley says who am i kidding, when can you start?

Skills walks into Mouth’s room where Mouth and Brooke are in bed and Skills takes a picture of them all in bed.
Brooke and Mouth jump up. They’re both late and they’re running around. Brooke was supposed to get Jamie and Mouth is late to work.
Jamie is there. Haley brought him over. Haley told him not to wake her.
Mouth comes in at work. Alice comes in and says he got strike two. He says he’s privileged to work for them. She says she doesn’t like him.
Back to Brooke and Jamie. They talk about his race. He says he can’t work on it.
Brooke asks what color. He says he wants it Raven blue but they want it red.
Brooke says it’ll be blue.
Jamie says he’s glad she’s his godmother.
Back to Haley at school with Principal Turner. He offers to stay with her for awhile.
Cut to basketball practice. Him and Quentin are arguing. Quentin shows off and makes a basket.
Peyton and Nathan are at the hospital. They are arguing. Nathan doesn’t want to be there. Peyton gives him a speech about how good his life is. They are at a children’s hospital to visit.

Brooke, Haley and Peyton are in Tric at the bar talking about an artist.
A song comes on and Brooke pulls them onto the dance floor.
Mouth shows up and he says my boss hates him. she says shut up and dance.
Lindsey walks in and Brooke says hi
Cut to Lucas, Skills, Fergie, Junk and Jamie uncovering his soapbox car. It’s blue and the guys are surprised.
They put a mannequin the car as the first run and it goes.
The wheel falls off and it crashes. The mannequin head falls off.
Jamie’s eyes bug out. Skills says, Man, we’re going to have to fix that.
Lindsey walks up to Peyton and says hi. She says it’s weird because she knows her through the book. She says she seems brave. Peyton says thanks.
Brooke walks up after Lindsey walks off. Peyton says Man, I really didn’t want to like her.
Carrie walks up. Mouth compliments her. Carrie says she’s going to do great with Jamie. She leaves. BP walks up and asks who that was. They say she can’t be the nanny because she’s so hot. Mouth says looks aren’t everything and if she doesn’t hire her he doesn’t get to see her in a bikini
Haley says she’s going home to check on Nathan.
Cut to Nathan at the edge of the pool.
Cut to BP walking at the river court. They’re talking about why they came home. Peyton was looking for inspiration when they wrote their names. She says she was fearless back then and she turned into the assistant to the assistant. Brooke says to start a label. Brooke wants to invest in the label.
Lucas walks up and Brooke says she needs to return calls and walks off.
Lucas and Peyton talk about the label. She says she met Lindsey.
He asks why she didn’t come to the book signing.
Flashback to book signing with Lindsey. She says thanks and I’m proud of you. She kisses him on the cheek. He sits down to sign. He is looking for Peyton but she’s not there.
Back to present. Peyton says I knew we weren’t meant to be.
Peyton says I knew we weren’t meant to be.
Lucas says he needs to get home.
Lucas goes home to Lindsey who says she met Peyton and are all his ex’s pretty?
She asks if they’ll be back for long and he says he wasn’t sure but Peyton was thinking of the label and Brooke was going to help.
Peyton says if she needs help, to help her.

Nathan is at the pool. Haley says they’re leaving soon and Nathan doesn’t want to go because he doesn’t anyone to see him.
BP show up. Brooke made Jamie a racing suit which he runs in with it on. So cute!
A patch on it says Peyton Sawyer Unemployed!
Haley tells Jamie Daddy’s not coming
They try to tell him all the other guys will be there.
They all leave with Nathan sitting there by himself.
Cut to the soapbox derby.
Mouth and Skills are there. They say hi.
Cut to BP. Brooke is on the phone and arguing. She gets mad and throws her phone in the water. She asks to borrow Peyton’s phone. Peyton catches a glimpse of Lucas and Lindsey who go talk to Jamie.
It’s Jamie’s turn and he gets in with Lucas’s help.
Jamie is freaking out thinking about the mannequin. He throws his hands up and says he doesn’t want to. Haley talks to him. Jamie wants to talk to Brooke. He says he doesn’t want to but he likes his suit. He says he’s taking a stand. Brooke gets him out.
Nathan is at home. Haley is at home cleaning up and telling Nathan about Jamie. She says he should have been there. She says, Nice work, Dan. She yells at him about whether he’s ever going to stop. He yells at her about being great before and being nothing now and having nothing now.
She is hurt. “You have nothing? YOu have a son and I am here. You have got to figure out who you’re going to be. This version of you does not work for us. I can’t keep living like this. Do you understnad me what Im saying. One more night like this and I promise you, you will have nothing.”
Back with LP. Lucas wants to show Peyton something. Lucas says he talked to his mom and they want her to have it for her office space for her label rent free. Peyton said she would have jumped at it four years ago. Lucas says he wrote a novel and he can’t write a novel. Mouth hates his job and Nathan missed his dream. She couldn’t change the world from LA. She should change it from her and he knows she can do it.
Peyton says, I was there, at the book signing.
Flashback to book signing and she sees the kiss with Lucas and Lindsey.
Back to present. She says she was proud of him and she saw him and Lindsey and she likes Lindsey. She asks about the Ravens and what he said. He said, “You’re art matters, it’s what got me here.” SHe says “A few days ago I was ready to quit but you saved me with your novel so if you’re struggling, You’re art matters, Lucas. It’s what got me here.”
Haley walks into class with an attitude. Quentin says he needs a break. She says anyone that walks out fails the class. She gives him a speech about him shaping his life right now and he has a choice. He leaves. Haley tells the rest that the rest of your life is a long time and whether you know it or not, it’s being shaped right now.
cut to Nathan at the pool with a Haley voiceover.
Nathan wheels himself into the pool. He comes up out of the water. He says “I’m Nathan Scott and I have too much to lose.” He starts to walk through the water.
Cut to Mouth. He finds his audition DVD in the trash.
Skills is at the school putting the roster up. Quentin is not on it.
Cut to practice. Quentin is mad. Lucas says he doesn’t make the team. QUentin says they’ll lose without him. Lucas says if we win, we’ll do it as a team. Quentin says THis ain’t over. Lucas says This ISN’T over.
Brooke is talking on the cell phone in an open building and is saying she wants to run it from Tree Hill. It’s Karen’s Cafe.
Peyton is hanging up artwork in her new office.
Nathan goes in to see Jamie in bed. He says they’re going out and to bring his cape.
Lucas is looking at his book signing frame again.
Lindsey hugs him and says do you remember when I gave you that? The dinner after the book signing and it was our first date. Are you comning to bed?
He says I think I’m going to write for a little bit.
Cut to Nathan and Jamie. Jamie is in his car. Nathan says not to be afraid. Nathan is beside him in his wheelchair beside him. It ends with them with their hands in the hair rolling down the street.
