Episode 6 Don’t Dream It’s Over Recap

Jaime is in bed sleeping. Dan walks in his room and it wakes Jamie. He turns demon-like and it scares Jamie who calls for Nathan and Haley. Haley asks what’s wrong. Jamie says Grandpa got out of prison. They say you mean Heaven? He said no, jail. NH are confused.
Nathan asks Skills if he told Jamie about Dan about him being in jail. He says yes. Nathan says why? Skills says because he’s in jail. Nathan tells him he has to lie to Jamie. Skills says he’s told him about other things like Santa is black and never date girls named Bevin. Nathan asks him not not to avoid it until they figured out what to do about it.
Peyton is standing in front of her house. A girl comes out and invites her in. She says the room looks different..it was red. Molly asks if she really left him…Lucas? She shows her the door where it says Peyton and Lucas.
Haley and Lindsey walk in the studio. Victoria is waiting and complains that she is late. She asks to hear her “investment”. She asks to call Peyton and Victoria says no, who knows what gutter Peyton is lying in. Mia tells Haley quietly she freaks her out. Haley says she’ll be fine. She says the song is called No Good and she can start when she’s ready. Mia is playing guitar and singing. Victoria stops her right away and says The song is called no good? Appropriate. She says it’s a waste of time and when they locate Peyton in that gutter, to let her know. Haley is flabbergasted.
Peyton runs in the studio and tells her what happened. She asks Lindsey to leave the room. Haley and Peyton argue about Lindsey being there. Peyton says she doesn’t want anyone in the studio. Haley sticks up for her. Peyton says maybe she just doesn’t like her. Haley realizes the mic is on and Lindsey heard her in the other room. Lindsey says she’ll meet up with Haley later.
Mouth is at work. They are discussing working on Saturdays says Alice is a *itch and want Mouth’s help.
Peyton goes home and says Peyton is a *itch and Lucas is shocked.
Brooke walks in the store and Peyton says Victoria is a *itch. Millicent says the hot guy from the opening is coming! Mouth walks in and Brooke realizes she means Mouth. Mouth is wanting help finding a present for Alice.
Alice is kissing Mouth in bed. Mouth suggests them getting to know them. She says yeah right. She leaves and says she’ll see him at the office.
Nathan is at home in the pool. Carrie comes out with Jamie. Jamie jumps in and plays with Nathan. Jamie tells Nanny Carrie to get in . Carrie gets in. Jamie asks Nathan to throw him. Carrie starts teasing with Jamie and then Nathan. They begin play wrestling in the pool. Haley comes out and sees it and is visibly disturbed.

Jamie has another nightmare and calls for Momma. Haley runs out and Jamie says, “No, I want my other momma.” She goes in her bedroom asking Nathan if he just heard what Jamie said and sees Nathan and Carrie kissing on the bed. Haley wakes up. Haley goes into the kitchen. Carrie is fixing breakfast. She asks where everyone is. Jamie is with Skills and Nathan is at therapy. Haley asks Carrie not to wear a bikini because of Jamie. Carrier says sorry for the lack of judgment.
Victoria says the label was a lack of judgment as well as their “fat” size 4 models. Brooke takes up for it and says maybe she should go back to New York. She says she won’t mettle with Peyton but she won’t let Brooke make a mistake. Victoria tells Brooke to eat. Brooke says maybe I shouldn’t, I AM a size 4. Victoria says you’re not a model. I would never let you waste your life doing that.
Skills and Jamie are playing Guitar Hero at Skills place to the song Are You Gonna Be My Girl? Jamie asks about Dan. Skills says he thinks they’ll go to the river court. Jamie says why did they take my Grandpa away?
Nathan says You told him Dan went to jail because he didn’t clean his room?? Skills says he got stuck.
Lucas asks why Peyton why she said she said that stuff to Lindsey? She says too much stuff is going on. He says she should apologize. She said she doesn’t have time for this. Lucas asks if she wants help. She says no, that’s the last thing I want, go home to your girlfriend. Lucas says ok and leaves.

Quentin walks into Lucas’s office and ask why he’s being called in on the weekend. Haley turns around and Quentin understands what’s going on. Lucas says he understands he was supposed to be kicked off the team because of walking out of the room and getting a failing grade. She says she’s standing by it but he can read Les Miserables, turn in biweekly reports and stay on the basketball team. Lucas asks if they have a deal and Quentin says he’ll think about it.
Nathan shows up at the river court with Quentin. Quentin says what is this good cop, dumb cop? He says why do you care? Nathan says because Haley cares about it. Quentin says Haley assigned him the book because she knew he wouldn’t do it. Or maybe she was scared he’d break her husband’s record. Nathan says the only problem with that is he’s not good enough to do that. Quentin ribs him about not being part of a team. Nathan says I am part of a team. The one with regret and wondering what might have been. He says if you don’t read the book, then join the team. Nathan leaves and Quentin dunks the ball.
Peyton and Brooke are at her store. Victoria walks in and yells at Brooke for scheduling a conference call with Macy’s. She says she’s a great designer but she’s not smart enough to run the business.
Peyton runs out and tells Victoria to quit being a *itch to Brooke. She says when Brooke figures out the business side then Victoria is gone. Peyton says Brooke can’t talk back to you because you’re her mother but you’re not mine. Victoria says it’s obvious you never had one. Peyton says Brooke never did either.

Lucas is looking at the engagement ring. Lindsey walks in and says oh my gosh. Lucas says it’s ok. He gets down on a knee and says Lindsey, will you marry me? Peyton is on the bed in lingerie and says say no, that’s what I did when he asked me. Lucas wakes up from the dream and Lindsey is at the bedroom door. She says Did you fall asleep? Lucas says Yeah, I guess. Lindsey says to get ready because they’re having dinner with Nathan and Haley.
Mouth walks in a room at work. They ask if he talked to Alice and he said yeah, she knows where he stands. They tell him they heard he’s in line for the on-air job and it’s because he stood up to her. Alice walks in and asks what’s going on? He said yeah, you hag. Alice says whoever you are, you’re fired.
Nathan is in his room trying to put his pants on and can’t. He calls for Haley but Carrie shows up. She says Haley is gone. Carrie asks if he wants help. He says it’s not really appropriate. She says nannies are like doctors. She helps him with his pants and says Haley asked me not to wear a bikini in the pool around Jamie. Nathan says she probably didn’t mean it. She says it’s ironic if Haley is worried about someone getting turned on at the pool, she shouldn’t let him go shirtless.
NH and LL are at dinner. Haley asks about the book and he says good and he’s on a roll. Lindsey says the editor side likes it but the girlfriend side misses her boyfriend. Lucas asks how therapy is going for Nathan. He said good..he’s been in the pool alot. Carrie says, yeah, he’s looking great out there. Haley’s eyes bug out. Haley tells them about Quentin’s new chance. Lindsey says you just don’t know about people. She gave Peyton another chance and she didn’t take it. Haley says she felt bad about that. Victoria has been giving her a hard time. Lindsey says it’s more than that. She said she feels like Peyton has jurisdiction over Lucas because of their past. Lucas says, Peyton has a big heart. Lindsey says yeah, to go along with her big mouth. Lindsey says I went to an ivy league school but if she continues she’s going to get her @ss kicked. She says I didn’t mean that..I just wanted her to like me. Jamie comes down and Haley tells them to go back upstairs. They tell them he’s been having nightmares. Lucas says he can’t blame him, he had them about Dan until he was what 19? Lindsey and Carrie are left at the table and Lindsey asks Carrie how it’s going. She says really good and by the way she completely agrees with her about Peyton…just because a person has history with a person, that doesn’t mean that’s who they should be with.
Haley and Nathan are upstairs and said they’re sorry for lying but Grandpa did bad things and he had to go away and they’ll never let him get hurt. Jamie asks them to check the closet and bed just in case.
Brooke and Peyton are at the club and they mention the hot bartender (Owen). A girl comes up and asks for Brooke’s autograph. Peyton asks about Brooke’s love life. Millicent chimes in and says she sleeps around but nobody serious. Brooke teases she knows she can be fired. Peyton says she would just come work for her and Brooke would still be paying for it. Brooke says the celebrity makes it hard to trust anyone.
Carrie answer the door at NHJ’s. It’s Quentin and he says he’ll do whatever it takes to remain eligible. Lucas says 6am practice. Nathan lets Quentin out and Quentin says he’s doing it for the scoring title and he’s going to erase him. Nathan says
Owen comes up and asks for a signature. He says it’s not really an autograph, it’s her $37 tab. Brooke says I thought you were asking for an autograph and he said I’m not into that, especially with people I don’t know. Brooke tries to explain. Peyton chimes in, I’m Peyton. Owen says maybe she’ll ask for his autograph. Mia shows up and Peyton says she’ll meet them later. Brooke says “So hot”. Mia says she needs time and she doesn’t think she’s ready. Peyton asks what’s going to be enough? Mia doesn’t know. Peyton says maybe you’re right. Mia says I want to reach someone. Peyton says she takes it back, maybe she is ready.
Victoria is at Brooke’s shop. Brooke walks up and says you’re working late. Victoria says someone has to. Brooke asks her to trust her and no matter what happens, she loves her and appreciates her and maybe she doesn’t say that enough. Victoria says of course I love you and trust you and she wouldn’t miss it for the world. They hug. Brooke wakes up from her dream. Brooke walks in the store for real to Victoria. She says you’re working late and Victoria says someone has to. Brooke asks her to trust her and she loves her no matter what happens and maybe she doesn’t say that enough. Victoria says Whatever. You can lock up. Brooke cries.

Lucas is outside of Peyton’s work and he looks at her window. Peyton is in her office and Lucas walks in and says I saw your light on and not surprised since he knows she works so hard. He says she hasn’t been herself. Peyton says she hasn’t been that Peyton for 3 years. Lucas asks what’s going on. Peyton says she went by her house and theirs a teenager there and tells him about the door saying Lucas and Peyton True Love Always. She says Always! It was supposed to be always until you came and ambushed me in LA three years ago. He says if by ambush you mean propose. Peyton says it was out of the blue and driven by insecurity I will never be able understand. Lucas says Insecurity? Right. I’ll tell you how you get Always. you say yes when he asks her to marry him. You don’t say no and call him insecure. Peyton says I never said no! I said I loved you and I did want to marry you someday. I wanted you so bad! but you gave up on us! He said gave up? She says Yes but not waiting you gave up on us. He said that’s great. You wanna talk truth? You gave up on me. That’s what you didn’t say yes. You didn’t think I could get my novel published. Maybe you just didn’t care because it wasn’t about you. She says if that’s the truth then why is it I buy his book every single time. (she starts throwing books at him) She said you said always to me and we were destined to be together. You said it to me and you said it to the world but you never meant it. Lucas puts his hands up and says he’s going. Peyton says she wants to pay him rent somehow, it doesn’t feel right. Lucas says it’s him being nice but maybe he should quit doing that. He leaves.
Lindsey drives up and and sees Lucas at Tric. Quentin is reading. Mouth’s coworker says it was tough about Carl and good thing Alice likes him. Mouth tells Alice he’s heading home. Alice says I guess you don’t want the on-air job after all.
Brooke calls Millicent and tells her to reschedule her meeting with Macy’s. M says V won’t like that. B says it’s her company.
Nathan comes to bed and says Jamie is out. Haley says he should check for monsters on the balcony. Nathan goes out to the balcony and sees Carrie skinny dipping. Haley says it’s nice to know they aren’t any monster in the house.
