Chad Michael Murray being considered for Jennifer’s Body

Posted by Amy with 3 Comments

Now that Karyn Kusama is on board to direct Jennifer’s Body, Diablo Cody’s follow-up to Juno, casting is beginning in earnest. Luckily we have a source close to the production who has told us who is being looked at for some major roles in the film.

More interesting, perhaps, are two names that are being bandied about for Nikolai; he’s the leader of the Satanic emo band that starts all of the problems that turns Needy into an ass-kicking monster fighter. The production is looking at two legitimately emo dipshits – Pete Wentz of Fallout Boy and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte. These names horrify me, and just typing them out has awoken some kind of genocidal monster in me – I want to torch your home if you own a Fallout Boy record. I want you removed from the Earth (Ron Paul supporters are next). Here’s to hoping that the third name on the list, One Tree Hill‘s Chad Michael Murray, is who they go with.

OTHPodcast with Mark Schwahn and James Lafferty on Episode 5

Posted by Amy with 2 Comments

New podcast up on othpodcast.com!

Mark gives us lots of scoop regarding the team Lucas coached with Whitey called the Gilmore Cobras. He says Gilmore is the high school he wrote in the original script Whatever It Takes. They also wore green and gold and the Cobras were from his junior college freshman year at Parkland Junior College in Champagne Illinois. They played Sonoman Eagles. That was a town next to his hometown. But he changed the colors to red and white so they could film at NC State.

Little Jamie boy’s name was Declan (James comes up with it a few minutes later). They voiced over him saying ball. Mark says the boy actually said Mom but Joy played it off like baby talk.

Mark says he likes Haley’s hair long. James says both her and him had extensions. Mark says he had told James to wear his hair long but fans were wondering what was stewing. James makes a hilarious comment about looking like Jesus–that’s what we all were saying! James grew it all summer even though it was a pain. They got the first episode and they realized there’s a flashback with short hair so he grew his hair for nothing. James was in the office when they realized this and he was like Darnit! I grew it for nothing. They joke because everyone said they he looked either like Mark or Jesus. The stubble was fake as well.

James talks about the amount of basketball in the episode. The gym was New Hanover’s gym in Wilmington. They said they didn’t want to make it look like the championship. James says the steal took about 5 takes. Lindsey mentions the Black Metal Motorcycle Club. They say Liz does great as the director.

Mark says James was sick during the basketball. He had walking pneumonia.

Mark says he screws a lot of stuff up. He says he’s been there for 100 episodes. Mark says it was weird for the writer’s strike. It was weird not being able to go back to work. He said he probably shouldn’t be doing the podcast but he’s not writing anything. James says it was weird being able to call Mark and talk to him.

Mark talks about the iPhone. He explains it like one of our commenters did…the fast forward is 4 years in the future so the iPhone exists today and it’s fine that he had it. He said if you view the fast forward as now, then it doesn’t make sense. He said they don’t like to talk about what year it is. He says they hope the fans are more concentrated on the story.

James says the bus is not really moving. There are people actually moving lights and branches outside to make it look like it.

They mention it’s great having Barry back and they’re apologetic not having the adults around.

Lindsey mentions the Group 1 Crew poster in the background…I saw that too!!! The gold records were fake. Mark says he expects to hang a Kate Voegele one if it goes well.

They talk about some of the artist and how much reaction they get from the fans when they’re music appears on the show.

James is texting during it and Mark ribs him. James says, “I’ve got moves to make. What do you want?” The joke that someone will have that on their avatar.

Kate Hayick (sp?) is the girl at the airport.  She’s a cancer survivor and great actor.  She was a friend of someone who works on the show.

Mark loves the scene with Lucas finding out about his book because it was such a breakthrough moment for him.

They talk about Michaela and how great of a job she’s doing it.  She works really hard and has a lot of desire to be good.

Mark talks about the strike again and says the only good things is it has made everyone hungry again to work on the show.

They talk about Jackson and how much everyone loves him.

They talk about the bar they are in…it’s in Wilmington on the corner of Front and Princess with a Martini bar upstairs.

They make more comments on filming…making the park look like Central Park…trying not to look cold on film.

Mark talks about the undeniable on screen chemistry of Brooke and Lucas.  He hopes the fans don’t feel ignored but the story is always evolving.  They talk about Sophia’s ability to show her vulnerability.

Mark brings up the lucky bamboo.  He said it changes how we feel about Lindsey taking one to Peyton.  He said the meaning becomes different knowing “the friend” was Lucas.

Wow, this is a really long podcast.

Ausiello on 5.08 Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want

Posted by Amy with 7 Comments

Question: Got anything on One Tree Hill? — Jacob

Ausiello: Three things — all of them regarding the Feb. 19 episode.• We’ll finally hear someone other than Lucas deliver the episode-closing voice-over.

• A beloved staple of the series will be no more once Peyton decides that it’s time to shut the door on her past.

• Haley will let two characters have it for “lying and cheating” after witnessing an illicit kiss, while completely missing one that could end a marriage.

That last one has to be Peyton and Lucas!!!  Anyone have a clue on the other two?
