Alrighty, for those that are “lost” on the 82/86 letters thing…here tis!
Brooke with the letters…
From Season 3 where Brooke tells Lucas about them:
Brooke saying 86 letters in 5.11
So Mark says he did the difference on purpose.

Hi Amy. How are you? Thanks for explanation. When I saw the episode I had not heard that Brooke said 86 letters…. I’m curious to know the purpose!

I knew right away in that episode when she said 86 that it was wrong. I was like WTF IT WAS 82 and since Mark said it was on purpose, it means there are 4 extra letters somewhere and I’m assuming they are all written by Brooke. Someone in the BL S&S board on Fan Forum suggested that the other 4 may have been written:
1) right after they broke up
2) he got together with peyton and/or after she walked in on them post sex in honeygrove
3) when she and chase broke up
4) after 5×05 happened and their night in nyc together when he kissed her

I wish someone know the answer it’s really bugging me!! I guess we’ll just have to wait and watch.

I’m so excited to find out where the other 4 letters are/what they are about. I also would love to know where the 82 original letters are. I wonder if Lucas kept them…

he keeps everything else so it wouldnt surprise me if he did keep those letters. I just have no idea what the other four say…. I can’t wait to find out… They love to keep us guessing

Its really bugg me, thaty i don`t know aht those letters mean. Are they a link betwwen lucas and brooke thah leads them to be together?. I hop so. I love them.

Maybe like letters that Brooke had been writing, maybe Brooke knows Peyton is also writing letters…. Because when Brooke says is that letter 86? If so you can keep it, it doesnt sound like Brooke is the one writing it…

I am really glad that you posted these Amy. Thanks! I remembered about the letters but I honestly didn’t catch the whole 82/686 thing. I guess I wasn’t paying close enough of attention to the dialogue.

I think the four extra letters are ones Brooke wrote like after graduation. One a year because season 5 starts off like 4 years 6 months 11 days or something. So i think she wrote one a year the past four years telling Lucas all the things she wish she could say but couldnt because of Peyton.

I just want them to bring BL back together. If 82 letters did it once than maybe 86 letter can do it a second time!

I cant get this clip does anyone have a link that isnt this one it keeps telling me its not available and I somehow missed this part… I dont remember her saying it however if there are an extra 4 letters I bet you she wrote at least one after Lucas was in NYC and she said that maybe Lucas Scott was the one she gave everything up for… these two are MEANT TO be together and I sure hope we get them back…..

goood idea Bo, i never thought of that it has been 4 years but y would peyton know about them if she secretly confesses her true feelings about lucas or leyton. but i hope it does bring them back i really hope so!

there totally could be more they only fit a little bit like not even a year in the flash backs who knows what happened during all the rest of years

Maybe the other letters were written during the time when she was breaking up with Lucas & wasn’t talking to Peyton.
When she saw them at the mall the night of her birthday, that felt like a good letter-writing night!
Or even when Lucas says he’s not the guy for her!

i cant wait for this to be unfolded im sure it has a cute reason behind it too…but could it be the letters that lucas wrote her in season 3? and she stored them all together i wonder is she still has them

Hmmm When I heard the ‘86 letters’ thing. I always thought the other 4 letters were from Lucas. Remember he start writing her letters when they were together. The night when the Outage happened. He said “I think this letter is better than the first 2 I’ve written” and the last one was when he gave her at the Cabin. and she Brooke’d herself after reading it. lol.
