i think she is letting him know no matter what, she is gonna always love him, whether they try again or not and then the comet blaring through the words, lets him know she is back for good, she has returned and wont leave him again

I find it interesting that every girl has told Lucas that they will “always love him”. At this point anyone is an option and Lucas could be with anyone he wanted to.

i think that its her way of telling him that she has read his book and she knows that it was about her and so does he. I think she is telling him whomever he choses its always going to be there between them

heres a thought. maybe lucas goes to talk to her at tric after the haley/lucas and lucas peyton scenes. HE apologizes but keeps up his silly Lindsey sob story. She finishes reading the book at home and then goes to paint the comet on the rc. He goes to the rc later to think after lindsey refusing his marriage proposal and sees the painting, everything comes into focus, he buys 2 tickets to vegas and calls peyton….that is how it ends for the season

he hasnt been very convincing at all in his love for lindsey. He has been most convincing AFTER she left him. And Brooke has shown she isnt going to go down that road again….look at the kiss in NY.

lol. yeah. I feel like out of all three girls…Peyton has been putting up the biggest fight for him this season…or at least the biggest one thats obvious. You never know what all three girls are thinking.

Lucas is in BIG denial. He has not looked truly happy once this season. He looks conflicted, and has not shown the real emotion we have seen from Lucas.
He is protecting his heart from what he knows could hurt it,and it is a shame, He is denying himself the true happiness he knows he could have.

Brad that was awesome I think I just fell in love with your comment #12 My thought on the whole thing is the begining of the lyrics are clear and then the comet (PEYTON) comes in and starts to ruin things and messing up the lyrics because Lucus made it feel like (Peyton/comet) came in and ruined everything but in the end its crystal clear SHE WILL ALWAYS LOVE HIM. what do you guys think

I actually like Owen’s character…not necessarily for the Owen/Brooke storyline…I just think he’s a genuine character…how he defended Rachel even though I don’t think he knew her. I don’t like how he “ended” things with Brooke if thats what happened…but It was cool that he did that earlier in the season.

ok i just watched the last episode again and the preview for next week. I think that lucas calls peyton. Heres why….He has a coat on at the airport.
I know I know how can I draw a conclusion from that? Well in all the other pics he has on the same shirt, but no coat and they are during the day. If his day is as crazy as it sounds….by the end of the day I can see him calling peyton. He has had a hell of a day, lindsey finally got it through his head that she is done and that she gave peyton the book, brooke and haley tear into him about peyton, everything has went to hell in a handbasket for him. HE goes to the airport to run away again, and his moment of clarity hits. He loves peyton and the drawing on the rc could be taken as a token of love or a goodbye. He gets scared that if he leaves she wont be there when he gets back, so he calls her. We already know he doesnt call brooke bc of the spoiler from watch with kristin and she is hardly ever wrong.

I love the pic! It makes me feel so sad… is kind of the depressing…lol… I love this site bcuz everyone have differents point of views and all of them make sense. Peyton and Brooke are my fave characters bcuz of their friendship… I just hope if Mark wants to put again Brucas, that it doesnt going to affect Breyton friendship…

Okay here’s what I think it means:
In his book, Lucas talks about how the guy saw the comet and it gave his life meaning, that it opened his eyes and made like art and stuff matter again - right? AND Lucas is really depressed right now, sort of like the guy in the novel - right?
Seeing Lucas this way is killing Peyton - above all, I really think that she wants him to be happy more than anything - that’s why she painted the comet…not just because she loves him, but she using the comet as a sort of metaphor; she wants Luke to find his meaning again. But because she loves him so much, she wanted him to know how deeply she felt - thats why she wrote the lyrics.
Any thoughts?

I keep rewatching previews from this week and such too..and looking at the stills. I tried to identify what Record Peyton had in her hand when she was talking to Haley (on the pool table). I was wondering if it was a cover by the Cure (Lovesong)..The lyrics she writes on the rivercourt.

Does anyone else feel for chad and sophia NOT LUCAS AND BROOKE when the have to do all those scenes where they are suppose to be emotionally supporting each other? I cannot imagine having to do that with an ex and I cant help wondering how bad it is messing with their heads. I mean really it is just acting but it is still your ex sitting across from you saying all the things you wanted him to say to you not your character.

yes someone else confirmed that is the cure record that lovesong is on that she is holding. It is just my thought about brooke tearing into him, but how could she not if she knows what has happened? She has always told him how it is not just what he wanted to hear.

Yeah because Peyton had to of told someone about the (ihu) scene hence the promo I mean I dont think that Peyton would tell Haley and not Brooke because Brooke and Peyton are such best friends i just think that Brooke will lay it in on Lucus and tell him to stop being a jacka** do you think that Leyton and Brucus fans will still be friends once Lucus and Peyton are together forever? I think she does leave and to make some people happy maybe she has the meltdown does the balloons does the river court and then to make people happy Pete from fallout boy calls and invites her out there. I doubt it but I have read it on here more than once that people hope its him and then Lucus has the whole epiphany and calls Brooke to make more people happy and they go to get Peyton;p

Well I had season 1-3 but my apartment burnt down so they were destroyed so when season 4 came out and I was back on my feet I bought them in a bunch on ebay for $120 you cant beat that you know. I think I have watched the whole season 1-4 sets over and over again and in order i think maybe between 50 to a 100 times when I first got them I watched all of them in like 4 days I watched the whole 1st season I think in like a day all at once I didnt sleep and then had to work for like 9 hours straight … I will tell you guys one thing I was a cranky camper

I looove that episode…season one was probably the most amazing pilot/first season i’ve seen for any series… though shows like the OC and Grey’s had good first seasons…nothing can top One Tree Hill.

ok lol. let me just clarify that im very BRUCAS however…contrary to wat u mite think BRAD lol this is a leyton thing this season is actually pretty heavy leyton stuff it doesnt help the brucas case at all. and im not sure who mentioned this before but its soooo true all the girls said “i will always love you”. he does have his pick i guess..but in brooke and lindsey’s breakup with him it was bc of peyton and peytons breakup with him was bc of herself lol its ALL PEYTONS FAULT haha jk i love her. but it seems like lucas is either in denial which i dont think is so much as compared to him not wanting to hurt his ego again and get turned down lol that happens to him a lot. but i really like this drawing peyton is a pretty cool person…and i think it might mean that this comet has landed and she isnt going anywhere after all that hard work she is obviously not going to give up on him that easily, but peyton has such a strong character i wish they would show that in the leyton relationship, she always looks like the needy one or the desparate one and shes not shes strong…and brad just bc i want brucas doesnt mean i hate/don’t see why leyton should be. i know there reasons for them to be together but i also remember u saying that the brucas relationships was just physical. Uhm a physical relationship doesnt involve 82/86 letters, forgiveness for sleeping with chris keller, forgiveness for cheating on with best friend and sleeping with nikki, proclaiming your love in the rain, promises to save each other, making a destiny shot, giving your room and buying back all the stuff in it so u stay and dont go to LA, claiming your the guy for them and so on. You might not want brucas but dont say their relationship wasnt real…i dont want leyton to endgame but i wont doubt their relationship is real. lol sorry im just saying they are both real and meaningful to lucas. and i think its safe to say that no brucas fan on here thinks anything is going to happen btw brucas now. its pretty obvious its strong leyton and i dont mind bc i like peyton so w.e, and brooke would never do that and she and him dont even like each other like that right now. sorry just had to put my two cents in but hey what do i know im just a “dumb brucasfan”

he USED to save peyton. i don’t understand why people are claiming they belong together now because they USED to be together. i’m basing my BLness at the moment on how good they are together NOW. in season 4 i wasn’t claiming they’d get back together any minute now, because they didn’t get along for most of it let alone talk, much like the situation with LP now. stop living in the past and focus on the now. if in the next season they become bff’s and spend every waking moment together getting to know one another and falling in love instead of just suddenly “being in love” as has been the case in the past, i’ll understand them being together. right now that’s just not happening so i don’t se how anyone can claim they’re meant to be… but whatever, to each his own.

well thats ur opinion kajal but i dont see the at the moment scenes between brucas being romantic or about love he is just simply helping her out and the leyton situation is different then brucas in season 4 and about stop living in the past ur honestly going to say that???that sounds more like brucas they havent had a romantic scene together since like season 3 and the scenes about there feelings were about how they both realize what the had is over and about peyton so leyton being in the past doesnt make sence and about the ppl whole claim that leyton is meant to be theres more evidence for leyton then brucas at least at this moment and another thing this whole season has been about leyton lindsey triangle

no, again, apparently people aren’t reading what i’m saying- i said that the reason i’m more into brucas is because they seem to have more of a chance NOW. they’re spending time together and getting to know each other again are there for each other in their hard times. i can see them going towards love and that has nothing to do with their past together. with leyton, that’s all i see, a past. they haven’t been romantic with one another for a really long time and they don’t seem to be headed in that direction either because they aren’t even friends, they’ve turned into casual acquaintances if even that. so like i said, i’m not basing my feelings on the past, i’m going with what’s happening now.

I don’t see why everyone is fighting over who Lucas should be with Brooke, Peyton, Lindsey. This whole season I have to say has been very confusing but enjoyable in some parts also. I am a Leyton fan and have been since season 1 as I said in a previous post Lucas and Peyton’s attraction was very romantic and tragic at the same time which a lot of people feel in love with and i will say this again I think that some not all Brucas fans are in love with Brucas because of Chad/Sophia’s real life relationship. They do have wonderful chemistry on screen they are amazing actors but for the way the story is going I really think that Brucas is more about having a solid friendship than a relationship.
Peyton has always been scared to let people in or show people how she feels, Brooke being her BFF didn’t even kno the real P.Sawyer but Lucas came along and opened her heart. Love is all about surviving, giving and taking. I love the fact that Peyton made her feelings cleared to Lucas, she’s always been scared of doing that and this season she’s taken some risk, whether it pays off or not Lucas and Peyton will always love each other,
Has anyone notice how uncomfortable its always been when the two are together and the secret glances, like when Luke meet Brooke/Peyton at the hospital, now if feelings are not there I don’t know what else to say.
I love what Peyton did at the river court and if thats the end of Leyton well at least she went out in style LOL. Plus I think that any girl Lucas goes with as long as peyton is in the picture they will always feel threatened by the history and the books he’s written.

ya kajal, i def. agree with james — brucas is defintely just a friendship now. It is kind of sad, but you can see how much brooke appreciates lucas, but just as friends. I really don’t think brucas will be reunited in a relationship unless Peyton okays it, which i don’t think she will. Brooke wouldn’t do that to Peyton

I don’t see the reason why Brooke can be in the picture. She is the one who has been there for Peyton and she was the one who told her that Leyton are meant to be. Why would she be in the picture? Or is it just to confuse us? The whole season has been about the Peyton/Lucas/Lindsay thing. Confessions, broken hearts and relationships, the comet/book and to let go. Please let Brooke be out of this, we don’t need more drama and defently not the Brooke/Lucas/Peyton triangle and Brooke/Peyton fights about a boy. It’s to weird.

she read the book and drew a comet.thats odd.at least now she knows behind all lukas’s done and said she is the reason bc she hurt him so much that he had decided peyton was over for him.

appernatly u arent reading what im saying kajal yes ur makeing opinions but the way u word stuff makes it seem like ur makeing statemeants or makeing up stuff and yes the way u see things isnt the way i do but u have to watch how u word stuff cause its easy to sound like ur makeing sayin that this is right and that is wrong i have only based my opinions of actuall show facts so if im makeing statements im sorry but i was trying to be factual and with a tv show u cant live in the now at least only in the now with just a few scenes of a certain couple and turn around and say the other doesnt have much a change atm u have to take things from the past and present in a tv show cause if he based everthing on the now it would change and switch so many times so u have to have a balance of both are lucas and peyton spending more time together yes but is it in a romantic love kinda of way i see and say no its just a friend helping out of friend to me and thats my opinion

Let’s just say Lucas will have a lot of work to do to get Peyton back. After everything he put her throught this season… but people who love each other can forgive each other anything. I want Lucas to fight for Peyton. Peyton is too nice with Lucas I wouldn’t have throw at him a water balloune but more a book in the face

He had just been hurt soo much (peyton) that he don’t know if he can take an other heart broken again. First thing he does when he see her it’S asking question about why she said No why she never came to the book signing that he can,t hug her cause he is seeing someone else etc.. the “he is not good enough for you thing“ the you look amazing I mean come on thats not true when he told Peyton he had move on. That’s what he wants himself to believe that he has move on but it’s not true otherwise he wouldn’t be soo angry and hurt and ask her all those question if he had move on. IT’s soo obvious he loves her but he is too ashamed and hurt at the same time… The IHY thing just proove to me that Lucas still love Peyton cause hate is safer than love and what I hate is that he knows whatever he does she will always love him NO MATTER what…

Or just go to the E! website and find her…it’s from a week or so ago but it says (not word for word)–Lucas will make a call to either Peyton or Lindsey suggesting marriage again, Skills and Deb will hook up, and something about the car accident.

Okay here’s what I think it means:
In his book, Lucas talks about how the guy saw the comet and it gave his life meaning, that it opened his eyes and made like art and stuff matter again - right? AND Lucas is really depressed right now, sort of like the guy in the novel - right?
Seeing Lucas this way is killing Peyton - above all, I really think that she wants him to be happy more than anything - that’s why she painted the comet…not just because she loves him, but she using the comet as a sort of metaphor; she wants Luke to find his meaning again. But because she loves him so much, she wanted him to know how deeply she felt - thats why she wrote the lyrics.

He does see the message, some promo pics show him and Haley looking at it. My interpretation of it is that at the end of the book did it not say that the comet finally came back or something? And the picture of the comet coming thru the words is just Peyton saying that she is back and she will always love him, despte him saying “I hate you” etc etc?
Who knows anyway? I’m just dying to see Monday’s episode

Everytime I don’t feel like Leyton will end up together I watch 4×09-4×10-4×11 Okay I watch it even if I think they are end game lol … but the disc 3 of season 4 is just a reminder that Leyton are meant to be simple as that.

Yeah, I think everyone but Lucas (and maybe even Peyton now) realize that he loves her…and that he always will. Maybe he’ll go with someone else in the finale..? I really want it to be Peyton…but I feel like after the hardness of this season, it can’t be that easy. Now that there is that spoiler that amy posted about hilarie saying there was a Leyton makeout in the near future or immediate future…thats good…but we never know what motivated that kiss or if its a secure and good one…maybe one of them will walk away from it? I hope not…i’m trying to be optimistic…it just seems like this whole season has been a rollercoaster of emotions so even what might seem to be predictable is completely unpredictable.

Let’s not forget the title of the last episode: Hate is safer than Love..It means everything. Lucas is hiding behind his anger and is afraid to love Peyton again, because frightened to be hurt again.
He said I hate you ok, but when you read the title, everything becomes clear…
He just chooses, at least right now maybe not for ever, Hate. And it’s understandable. He suffered so much because Peyton said no, it took him 3 years to move on, so now, he doesn’t want to fall for her again. But he never stopped loving her and he’s gonna realize it.
he tried to move on with Lindsey but true love always comes back. It’s safer for him, right now, to bury his feelings, he just doesn’t want to suffer again.
For the moment, he’s hidind himself and his heart behind his anger but he knows he loves her and someday, he’s gonna take the risk to love her again, because it’s better to love and take the risk to suffer than hate and never express his true feelings.
So, look at the title of last episode and you’ll understand the meaning of his behaviour.
And i’m not such a leyton fan, but it’s obvious that it has always been Lucas and Peyton. we need to open our eyes, Lucas and Peyton will survive this.But it’s not gonna be easy.

i just said that because i kinda lived a story like this. i loved someone so much but had suffered so much. I have lied to myself for such a long time. I was agressive to him, i said for sure i hate you more than once but in the end, deep in my heart i loved him and i was afraid to admit it to myself.
he proved me that he came back for good and we’ve been together for 4 years now. so i believe it’s gonna be the same for leyton. He’s gonna realize there’s no need to hide, to lie to his own heart and gonna take the risk, i tell you..

Hate is safer than love. The title always means something, yet I always fail to read into it until afterwards and then I’m like OH, thats what its all about. For Lucas, if he hides…maybe he feels like he isn’t putting himself out there to get hurt…I don’t think she really hurt him, I know she wanted to marry him but she just wanted to wait. Still, to Lucas it was hurt. After he reads the RiverCourt and stuff…I hope he realizes that she is for real…and she would never hurt him and that he just needs to understand that.

well first of thats a title of a song by la rocca which seems to be a constant them in leytons relationship i think that might have been the song in the background afer the game i cant really remeber the background music cause i was focused on leyton to much and all there titles are song titles btw but think its about brooke excepting leyton cause i think that was part of the reason lucas was hesitante at first to be with peyton after the brucas clouser in the epy before were brucas realize its over between them and the next epy they win the game brooke and lucas hug and he looks over at peyton which she looks very cute i might add watching the confite and then brooke asked him that who do u want standing next to u question to him and then she says go its ok go so i think its her finally excepting it while they realize there werent in love they still cared about each other so its kinda like he didnt think brooke would be ok with him being with peyton even though they were over and maybe its something to do with nathan not throwing the game so some of the lyrics go some u lose some u give away google it if u want more

If that is true then your theory is void. The whole fifth season has been about Lucas and Peyton. Everyone around them has seen it is all about Lucas and Peyton. From Skills, to Nathan, to Haley, to Lindsey to BROOKE. And in following with that theme, their is a reason Peyton draws the comet on the Rivercourt and puts I will alwys love you.
It is fate, it is foreshadowing and it is for this reason - LUCAS AND PEYTON FOR EVER, ENDGAME, END OF STORY.

Hi I am a huge OTH fan from the UK, but I have to say that I was a little dissapointed with most of the season, I think it might have something to do with the fact that season 4 was one of the best yet. However I want to talk about Lucas and Peyton, I am a huge fan of both of them and always wanted them to be together and have a feelin that by Monday nights season finaly they will be, but I would like to see Peyton have a new relationship with someone else and let Lucas do the chasing for a while and maybe then he will realise what he has lost. I would also like to see Brooke and Chase together because I don’t like Owen, and they where good together in season 4.
P.S The relationship I would like to see Peyton in is with Jake.
