Episode 18 What Comes After the Blues Reaction
Honestly, I’m not happy right now. I was so hoping the cliffhanger was Dan and not Lucas’s call but here we sit with BOTH OF THEM being the cliffhanger. Before I go off on a tangent, let me get to it.
- Jamie and Gavin were so cute singing that song. Sorta pointless, but cute nonetheless.
- Brooke having to give up Angie was so very sad and unfortunately almost put to the side. I was surprised at how littel was shown about that. Not really sure what I expected but Brooke handed her off pretty quickly and Lucas only showed up long enough to walk out the door. His speech to her at the apartment was sweet though. Them saying I love you was definitely friendship as far as I can tell but it was very nice.
- Nathan and Jamie both facing their fears and then seeing them pull through at the end was awesome. It was fan. tastic. seeing Nathan playing ball again. I really missed that. Them playing in the pool was so cute. I love her and Nathan talking at the very end. We got a smidgen of Naley and I loved it.
- Deb and Skills. Ew. That is all.
- Mouth and Millicent…I’m sorry, they are cute together. Really. But they could move to Omaha and no one would know the difference. Great job on the sportscasting though, Mouth.
- It was so. good. to see Haley back in Lucas’s room. After watching Season 1 again this weekend, it was just nice seeing them together. Haley and Peyton too. I think I had forgotten after this season how good of a friend Haley was to Peyton and it was good to see Haley rooting for both of them.
- As for the cliffhangers…
- Dan was almost evil Dan again with that pillow wasn’t he? Not so shocked on the car accident but WOW the pager beeping was definitely a shocker. Wonder if he gets the heart?
As for Lucas/Lindsey/Peyton…
Not happy that Lindsey went to see Lucas in person. She KNOWS how much Lucas is still wanting her and then she wants to come see him just so he can remember how much he misses her. And then for her to walk out when he asks if she misses him? That was just cruel. And what in the heck does the book say?? How does it end? She knows it’s the “perfect ending” so does that have something to do with her phone call to him?
OK, so how did Lucas know to go to the RiverCourt? Did I miss something? His reaction was great…loved that little smile.
And that leads Lucas to go see Peyton. I liked his speech. I get that he’s always loved her and it was hard and it’s still hard. But I was left wanting more. Once again, Peyton is left crying, dreaming of her and Lucas again.
Lucas’s dedication was nice. I liked that it came from him and Haley’s conversation. It was sweet when Lindsey read it. Her calling Lucas was nice but wouldn’t THAT be important to say in person?? I just lied to you and sent you on a binge? Not happy with that.
So Lucas makes the decision to leave and go to Vegas…the big question is who does he take?
My first instinct was LP is dead and he’s taking Lindsey. But two things have me clued into that it might be Peyton. Number one is the text message to Lindsey. It talks about those that have lost their way with love and thinking back to his book when he talks to his love being reawakened, I think it’s talking about Peyton there. Also, I have a suspicion that Lucas did not receive Lindsey’s voicemail. So it’s Lucas and Peyton off to Vegas but do they really get married? Is this where the makeout session happens? What happens when he does get Lindsey’s voicemail if he in fact didn’t get it?

ok here are my humble thoughts about the last episode:
the Laley friendship was amazing.
i loved the water balloon thingy, i feel sorry for the innocent people who got wet though lol!
and the NHJ pool scene was adorable, but i was stil wanting more naley scenes together just the 2 of them, well hope S6 is full of that
and what’s up with lindsey showing up every now and then, she always says goodbye and she shows up agian out of the blue.
and finally Dan i’m glad he got hit sorry it sounds harsh but i stil think he’s evil, karma’s a b***h lol!

wow, i don’t really know what else to say about last nights episode. I would love for it to be Peyton that he calls, but I am not sure, all three of the girls were waiting for phone calls…Brooke about Angie, Peyton about the person that knows Ellie, and Lindsay told someone on the phone a friend or something to have them call her cell. Leyton scene was so heart touching, you can just see the love in their eyes for each other. I really miss the affection of the couples, Naley we didn’t get to see a whole lot this whole season, Leyton I think they should of ended the scene with a hug. We didn’t get to see them hug one time this whole season. Glad to see Nate back missed seeing him and Luke playing play. Skillz and Deb thats just weird. Mouth and Millie their cute but not necessary. The rivercourt his reaction was cute, the smile and calling Haley I think he was thinking about Peyton the whole time he was there. I really think that Leyton are TLA and hopefully we will get to see next season. Just my opinion

Maybe Brooke’s call was to let her know Angie’s safe. And maybe Peyton’s call was from that guy who knew Ellie. Lindsey won’t show up in the next season – as far as I know -, sooo Lucas found a fourth girl, lol.
My instinct is it’s Peyton, and the dedication was about Peyton as well. But if they get married I’ll be really surprised.

Ok my 2 cents.
I cant waitttttttt!!!! Lets see what happens! 
1st & foremost- Dan! WOW! We all knw what happens to him anyway, so hes gone! I kinda feel bad for him b/c he was trying so hard to work on things with at least jamie.
Lucas- Idk… cliffhanger!! The way i look at it is like this, brookes call is from angies parents/adoptive program, Lindsay- idk, but everyone knows shes not coming back next season so, it COULD be her, but she can turn him down. Orrrr what I really want is it to be peyton, b/c that scene with them was super cute. Maybe he figured she IS the one. Naley w/ Jamie scene- TOOOOO cute!!!!! awesome! Noww…. I cried, cuz it was the end of the season & now we have to wait like 4 months for it to come back on.

So much so that i told my husband- they killed the peyton scene. it was suppose to be a moment of him thinking about peyton for what she did on the rivercourt & then here comes this call- KILLER!

Peyton=the guy who knows her mother(c/o Mia); or Lucas
Lindsey=well i think it’s possible that Lucas might be the one who called, but according to the spoilers that, that’s the last episode for Michaela McManus…

i’ve just finished the episode (i’m living in europe so i had to wait that someone put in on the net)
about the cliffhangers WOOOOW, that was huge! i can’t wait to see S6 (do you know when it’ll start???)
i hope that lucas calls peyton, they’re meant to each other! I guess brooke receive the call from angie’s family (or maybe the cute doctor who knows? would be great), i think lindsey receive a call from a friend or something like that (by i do think that lucas receive her voice mail..who say things like that on a voice mail anyway???)
i love the water balloons, the paint on the rivercourt…that’s completely peyton!! i almost cry when she tell her dream at lucas… i’m sure, he still love her but he’s scared to be left alone again!

Okay wtf??? I kind of figured that we werent going to find out who he was calling I mean we missed out on like 6 or 7 episodes because of the strike at least give us something Mark… I think that Lucus did get the voicemail and it was a voicemail… but when he was listening to it he was standing right by the I will always love you ~ Peyton and he was staring at it smiling…. If its not her I am going to be royaly pissed at Mark and the writers I mean we better find out in the first episode I was so pissed that sucked really bad last night… I do hope Dan dies we dont need him anymore

Ok I just saw the episode, I have to say Mark shoved a lot in for the Finale, but it was great still. I felt so sorry for Brooke it was to soon I think she had prepared herself to let Angie go hence her marking down the calender but out of the blue like that she was definately caught off guard.
Dan I also felt sorry for, in the end you saw that he truly wanted to make amends with the actions he’s taken in the past.
Loved jamie he’s such a cute kid, was happy to hear the theme song again they should really bring it back.
Loved that Haley was there for Peyton and Lucas, I think that now thats she’s read Lucas’s book she knows that Lucas still loves Peyton so I guess thats why shes such a big supporter for Leyton now.
Loved the RC drawing – I felf Peytons pain but I felt that if Lucas didn’t see the drawing at the river court he wouldn’t have gone to talk to her or not unless he took it as a sign that although she’s upset she still loves him.
Loved when the water balloon hit his car, he should have been out the car to get wet :}
Leyton scene- Finally I saw the Lucas that we all know and love, he spoke the truth for once, know one ever said love was easy but the way he rushed into trying to be a friend to Peyton and tried convincing everyone that Lindsey was the one for him, is there any wonder he got to the point he got to.
The airport scene ticked me off cause I thought they would at least let us in a bit on who it was or at least showed him waiting and then the person arrives and he stands with a smile. Even that would make me happy to wait until fall for season6.
I really think that they should let the Fans write an episode that would be great.
I didn’t see much of Naley scenes hopefully season 6 will make up for it and also on another note. I would have thought that Brooke was hurting why didn’t she at least rang Peyton to tell her that Angie was going home. It felt like the writers had so much story that they shoved most of it in and took out the most relevant stuff. I still loved it but some of the story lines I would have loved to see developed into something more.
I guess Its a few months wait to see who Lucas takes to Vegas

idk the more i think about it, i think maybe its someone we don’t expect and they through the whole marriage thing in the throw us off guard. i’m thinking that it is someone as a friend to just get away but knows him well enough to help him clear his head so he can make the best decision for his heart, the one he truly loves. i think he does love peyton you can just see it, idk can’t wait till we start getting at least some spoilers.

Yeah, I like that. And Peyton probably wasn’t picking up her phone because she had been talking to Mia all that time. So Lucas goes by Peyton’s house, she isn’t there, he consoles Brooke a bit and the just decides to go see Peyton at her work instead of trying to call her again.
He and Peyton have the talk we see and then there is something else said and he leaves. Lucas goes home to pack because he wants to get away. He is standing at the ticket counter about to buy a ticket to wherever and then decides on Vegas.
Peyton loves him, she said it was her dream to be able to have a second chance at his proposal. He has seen the imensity of her love, and I think he realizes he has that same capacity of love for her. So, why not just get married. Forget the whole scene of a wedding, and how Tree Hill weddings turn out, and just hop on a plane and get married. Get all the drama out of the way and just start making a life with Peyton.

I realized they cut the preview scene we saw of Haley and Peyton. In the preview that was shown before the episode Haley says Lucas cares for Peyton but he is just scared. Then Peyton says she has to do something and the studio is Haleys.
That whole part was cut. Was it because of time or because that confession by Haley would have shown too much to the audience who isn’t obsessed with spoilers – thus letting the average watcher peek into clues on who Lucas calls at the end of the ep?

I think Lucas calls Brooke at the end of the show and what he says is a joke(I dont think it’s what they make us think it is)…Hes trying to get away from all the drama for a while. I dont think he would bring either Lindsay or Peyton… But if he did bring Peyton that would be awesome!!!
Maybe what he wrote in his book was so much about peyton that it made Lindsay say what she said because she was trying to get him back… Distance makes the heart grow fonder… She is a lost soul… shes a lost everything.. BYE LINDSAY!!!

Now that I think about it…I think it was Peyton. The reason I say this is because I don’t think Lindsey will be back next season. And though Brooke and him are on good terms it would be really random because they haven’t even been boyfriend and girlfriend in over 4 years. It would be too weird you know? Just to be like lets get married tonight in the middle of nowhere. The spoiler on watch with Kristen said that Lucas makes a call to either Peyton or Lindsey and suggests marriage again. She didn’t even mention Brooke, and im pretty sure her spoilers have always been right. I dunno why they’d leave Brookes name out if it would be her because then it wouldn’t even be a valid spoiler?

Forgive me if this has already been written, but I don’t have time to read all of the post.
It was obviously set up that all three girls were awaiting phone calls so you wouldnt know which one he was calling. If they had only set it up that Lindsay and Peyton were expecting calls then you would assume it was Brooke that he was calling and vice versa. I am a Leytoner, but I would still think that he was calling Peyton even if I wasn’t. The whole episode, heck the whole season has been leading up to the Lucas/Peyton reunion. But specifically last night, there were many signs pointing to it. When Lucas went to see Peyton last night he told her that it was still hard, meaning that he wasn’t over her yet. When she made the comment about dreaming the proposal over and over yet, and said it was her dream I knew that he would know now that if he asked that she would say no. Lucas has been really insecure about that and I think he took the leap and asked her in the phone call because he knows that she will say yes and they will get their happily ever after to the epic romance. This episode was about facing fears and Lucas is afraid of rejection. So he took a chance. Just my opinion.

Nathan’s fear was never playing basketball again
Jamie’s fear was going back in the water
Haley’s fear was she wouldn’t get her music back on track
Brooke’s fear was giving up Angie and never being a mother
Peyton’s fear was losing Lucas forever and living with just her love for him
And Lucas, ah Lucas, his fear is rejection. That no one will love him. But here is Peyton, the love of his life, saying okay buddy. Ask me to marry you again cause this time I WONT say no.
Kind of like those carnival games where the sign says everyone is a winner who plays.
So, it seems it is appropriate Lucas is asking Peyton to Vegas, okay that is just my opinion, because he is rolling the dice on her again. “Want to get married?” If she says yes it is “Winner, winner, chicken dinner.” (Sorry just saw the movie 21)

that is so true. everyone facing their greatest fears. Lindseys was obviouslyl admitting the things she did to Lucas. I just can’t imagine it being Brooke, and like I said she wasn’t even listed in the spoiler but I suppose we never know? I agree, I think that has been Lucas fear. The fact that Peyton didn’t say YES immediately the first tiem she said someday. He dated lindsey because he just knew that it wouldn’t be hard. Kind of reminds me of Meredith and Derek on Grey’s. He is dating Rose right now not because he loves her or anything, but because he has “done complicated” and wants something easy. I think thats what Lindsey ultimately was or will be to lucas. Peyton admitted Lucas i’d marry you, i’d say yes. I hope he faced his fear and called her. I really really do.

Great observation Denise. I agree on all accounts. Don’t forget Brooke in the Tric episode saying next time he asks say yes. Well here will be her chance to redeem herself. Damn it all to hell if its not Leyton that goes to Vegas. They won’t get married though. They will realize that they want family and friends there. I don’t want to see Lindsey ever again by the way. She had her goodbye now leave it at that.

just finished watching!! loved the episode, jamie and gavin pretty much made my life complete, sooo cute! um so here are my 2 cents:
as much as i want it to be peyton (and i do, i really do) i don’t see lucas proposing to the love of his life over the phone…can you imagine her getting/reacting to the call? “oh sure, we’ve had approximately 2 complete conversations in the past 3 years and you just proposed to me over the phone…so i’ll pack my bags now”…it would be kind of random. i don’t know. as much as i want it to be true i don’t really see it as being realistic. more realistically i can see it as being lindsey, because they almost did get married, recently too, but she’s done with the show so…i can see it being brooke too, the marriage thing being a joke, if you think back to that one episode this season where they pretended to be engaged..it could kind of follow along the lines of that. they’re both in a lot of pain so i can follow lucas perhaps thinking that brooke might want an escape too.
as for dan, i think he’s dead and gone. not really all upset about it, he’s creeped me out from season one…
kind of happy mouth is leaving?? i found myself getting angry seeing him instead of solving lucas’s “trifecta” as
haley put it…
need season 6 now!! and i’m 100% faithful that mark will finally have leyton together in the end. TLA, right??

i loved this episode!
jamie and gavin were too adorable. and i loved everything between nathan and jamie. so glad to see nathan making a “comeback.” we got a little taste of naley, but i’m still left wanting more. the pool scene was too cute though.
brooke having to give up angie was sad, and i feel that it was kind of overlooked, just squeezed into the story. idk, maybe it’s just me.
i agree that mouth and millicent are cute, but they are so disconnected from everyone else.

Please, can we stop talk about this? I hate it, because we all know deep inside that it’s Peyton he calls (not a huge Leytonfan..) He can’t call Brooke because they are friends, he won’t marry Lindsey because he realizes that it’s over. He definitly calls Peyton, because she said that she dream about saying yes instead of no, and now Lucas gives her a last chance.
So okey, I HATE season 6 already, GIVE ME SOME BRUCAS. Haha.

OMG OMG. im am still freaking out about last night. My mind is running in circles trying to figure out who he asked. Hopefully once they start filming again someone will see who he took to vegas.. but till then.
My guess is brooke or Peyton (since lindsey isnt signed up for S6)

It’s Peyton lukas calls… he just saw her at her record label and she said to him that every time she makes that dream where he proposes, she says yes..lukas’ reaction when he said “its just a dream right?” means everything…
Come on, of course he got the message from lindsey, we see him listening to his voice mail and watching the words peyton wrote. it’s the moment who he finally takes a decision with his heart, that’s why he goes to see peyton right after..
It cannot be brooke, we saw tonight that it’s just a great friendship between the two of them.
It cannot be lindsey, she just left, she’s not in tree hill anymore, he’s got two tickets so he assumes that the person can come to the airport right now…and he finally understands that its over.he decided to go after brooke at the airport and not after her..kinda obvious that its over.
So it’s peyton. One hour ago, peyton said that it was her dream to say yes to him, so he gives him her last shot.
Plus, haley, during the entire episode, is rooting for peyton and tries to make lukas understand that she’s here and she loves him for good.
So, for me, without a doubt, its peyton. The call is just rigth after their talk, and all about the dream stuff and all about the hurt, so lukas finally realises that he loves her, and that she will always love him..
If you’re not convinced, look at his smile when he sees that it’s peyton who wrote these words ob the river court..

marie, I don’t think he is listening to his voicemail at the RC. *I* think he is calling Peyton about the RC. The scene right after that is him going to her house and asks Brooke where Peyton is and then he goes to see Peyton right after that. Why would he go looking for Peyton after seeing the RC and then hearing from Lindsey that she still loves him?

Ok so i havent given my thoughts yet..lol loved loved nathan and jamie and then the family time in the pool and how cute was it when jamie admited he was afraid to go in the pool just to make his dad realize he was afraid to keep trying with basketball…he is the best that kid is so cute and smart…Deb and skillz I agree ewwww..now i think lucas’s prediction was def about peyton and i think lindsey was crying on the phone after she got the text because she knows lucas has really now realized that infact he is still in love with peyton, i loved the conversation btwn lucas and peyton they both had such looks of love in thier eyes and he looked like he finally had a moment of clarity after he talked to her, the river court amy i think he was just taking a walk to clear his head and he went to the river court you didnt miss anything…and dan omg that accident was crazy did you guys see the way his body flew and twisted off that car that was a great scene.. mouth and milicent i agree i love mouth and i love them two together but i wouldnt really miss them(if they move and they keep us somewhat updated on thier life) brooke omg i was def ccrying my eyes out when she gave the baby back but i as well as amy thought there would be a little more into the brook and angie scenes…now lindsey going to see lucas that was a real stupid thing very careless of her and selfish-she could have mailed the book to him hello ups,she knows he has been going crazy missing her and she shows up there and messes with his head-hey im not complaining because once again she let him know she cant be with him and this was the end so more room for leyton but i didnt think that was very nice of her….now lucas’s phone call i dont think it is brooke they have done nothing to this point to make me believe they are anything more then friends so she’s out,besides for the ones who maybe think it is brooke think about it 1.brooke wouldnt do that to peyton 2. i really dont think lucas would put brooke in that position 3. i dont think he would do that to peyton either it’s one thing that he was with lindsey she was a complete stranger to peyton but he knows the friendship btwn brooke and peyton and i dont think he would do that…so i think and hope with all my heart it is peyton they did confirm s6 leyton will be together now is it forever i hope but im not sure!!!! i disagree but its kinda fun that people have different feelings about the episode. For me, we see lindsey talking to lukas’voicemail, less than a second after, we see lukas listening to something, im pretty sure it was lindsey message.
then he goes to brooke looking for peyton, brooke tells him shes at work, then finally he goes to peyton’s office.
I do think, really, that in the same time, he’s got lindsay’s words in the ear, and peyton’s words in front of him, and he takes a decision. he realises the impact of peyton’s words.
lindsey and lukas needed a closure, thats what they got tonight. End of the story.

I think it was Peyton, it would make sense after their talk about Peyton’s dreams, but there’s a chace it could be Lindsay too, so I don’t know. Yeah she left Tree Hill, (I think?), and it might be her last episode, but who says that the one Lucas calls has to say yes?
Well, one thing for sure, it was not Brooke. Because that would been wierd, very wierd. I mean, Lucas was extremly hurt after Lindsay, telling Peyton that i hated her because, well it had to be something more than find someone to blame? Love maybe? It’s easier to hate than love? (Back to the subject), then out of (almost?) no were propose to Brooke?
I never said it can’t be Brooke, but then they have to have a really good explanation, becase that wouldn’t make any sense…
I’m rooting for Leyton, and to me it could be either Peyton or Lindsay.

i bet that season 6, besides naley and the others, is about lukas and peyton together at the beginning at the season ans trying to get over the past, that hurt them so much.

You’re right they were annoying..but i wanted to just point out that it’s possible…I know they will get back together and I can’t wait…Poor Dan, gets hit and then his beeper goes off…well hopefully when he gets up he’ll have a new HEART. I doubt he’s dying out the show…because they have to take things off Leyton once there happy…don’t wanna break them up again…So we need to keep Dan…I want Brooke to be with the hot Dr. Copeland…but i thought I read Owen was coming back…so maybe after Luke and Peyton get back together they can focus on Brooke getting a man and a relationship…and isn’t Rachael becoming a regular again in season 6…awww mann september is too far…i got to wait for one tree hill and I’m moving back to Georgia in September…so september is an exciting month for me.

I think it is definately Peyton that Lucas calls, as Lindsey is no longer in Tree Hill, so cannot come to the airport and Lucas proposing to Brooke at this point doesn’t make sense. I’m not sure that this means that they will definately get married though, as much as I would love it to happen.

okay I normally like the way the cut and edit episodes and blend them together BUT HELLO LAST NIGHT WAS BAD there were scenes that we could have done without AKA mouth and millicent and Sillz and Deb also they were Blending serious moments with moments of fun… Im a little disapointed in the whole Peyton and Haley water balloon thing where peyton was like you said it made you feel better…..wasnt the emotion you’d think someone tossing balloons and having a freak out would talk with… it was a little dry…
I also love love love the brucas airport scene…. though I argee amy it could have been a little longer I do like how they did old school and miniced and old brucas scene with new location new issues… but still had it with the smae beauty as the last one… I also loved the whole brooke and lucas convo in her house where he said he thought she was beautiful etc.. and for her to give lucas the purple monkey WOW…. speaks without words.. and again the writers used and old style brucas scene with brooke not looking at lucas when he says i love you to brooke davis… and the look in his eyes..
Now Michaela is suppose to be back 4 episodes next season so what i want to know is does that mean they are going to have a couple in vegas and lindsey is the one lucas is calling or Im confused….I like lindsey and I love the truth and the emotion in her voice mail (Which I agree LUCAS GOT)
and WHAT IS THIS THAT PAUL HAS LEFT TREE HILL and does that mean im loosing dan cause I would HATE THAT….
Best emotion in the episode came from lindsey’s phone call to lucas…. brooke and Lucas all around… and peyton explaining her dream…

I loved the episode! I was so thrilled to see Lucas/Haley scenes again. Brought me back to the old days! I did think that the whole “Peyton throwing water balloons at everyone” was a little cheesy! I still can’t decide about the phone call! I think it might be Peyton but I almost think that’s too obvious. I am leaning more towards Brooke. I think that it would be like a “we’re both sad, let’s do something crazy” sorta thing and she might/might not go for it. Plus, it would provide more for the Peyton/Brooke saga. I think they didn’t throw the whole “try again with Brooke Davis” when Haley was reading the list for nothing. Who knows! Loved the episode overall!!

WHen I first watched last night I thought Lucas was trying to call Peyton when Lindsay was calling. Was Lindsey’s message though an “I miss you but am afraid of the power of your (Lucas’) love?” Does she want him back? Was it a goodbye? I want it to be a goodbye but was a little confused. It scares me that the above poster said Lindsey is back for some episodes in season 6. I had not heard that. I want it to be Leyton and Peyton that he calls but after reading everyone’s posts I get so confused!! I do wish the comet drawing in the picture was brought up and we could appreciate the painting more. If I was not spoiled already I would not have known it was a Cure song.

The last thing Luke says to Brooke was…”Call me when you hear Angie get’s home safe” so now he all of a sudden changed his mind…and changed it so drastically that he’s calling her to marry her…I’m not sure of that…and yes it would be obviouse for him to ask Peyton…but you still don’t know it could be her…I think the whole point is to throw everyone for a loop that’s all…And i keep reading people’s comments saying Lindsey’s coming back next season…I thought i read that was it for her…where are you guys reading that?!?! I’m guessing next season they’ll show that part again of who he calls and yes she’ll be there but it’s just a recap of this season.

My far out thoughts are that Brooke and Lucus are just good friends, Brooke has come so far since high school and Lucus – well not so much.
I think that he is calling Peyton and I think that Lindsay is pregnant – why? because whoever she was talking to on the phone said “have you told him” and she came to tree hill to give him something she could have sent through the post? why? plus she had already said goodbye to him. Also as far as Lucus is concerned she has gone back (he said it to Hayley) why then would he get her a ticket to fly from Tree hill? makes no sense to me.

All of them are considering phone calls:
-Brooke expecting to hear from the adoption people about Angie
-Peyton expecting to hear from the guy Mia met
and
-Lindsey expecting one from the publisher(the scene her assistant calls and she tells her to call her)
…this said I think (and hope) its Peyton…my reasoning is that Hilarie said there would be a make-out session, a spoiler saying they would get back together, and the fact that she painted the RC for him….if he doesn’t pick her it’d be disappointing. But I expect they’ll have to throw some twist in with Lindsey somehow….she did have something to tell him, and I’m not sure if that meant telling him she missed him or something else….good episode over all though, especially the N/H/J scenes, they are such a cute family. You have to love the Leyton scene about it being hard for him to see her and etc. and of course the little smile after seeing the RC….lets only hope Lucas isn’t an idiot or a jerk in S6

And you know who Veronica Mars came back to? Her epic love Logan. I know, I know they were on the outs at the end of season three – but that look Veronica gave Logan was a promise of reconciliation.
Just like the foreshadowing for Lucas and Peyton. The conversations both had with Haley, the rivercourt drawing saying more then words and Peyton telling Lucas marrying him was her dream.

OTH has had my head spinning… My theory is that Lucas FINALLY has listened to his heart of hearts and chosen Peyton. However, I’m not quite sure how next season will unravel this… maybe we will see that OTH will take us down travels of Lucas’ life spent with each three girls and how differently his life would turn out… Just a thought? Or, still sticking with him chosing Peyton, I see him struggling over the emergency call from the hospital over Dan, and he and Peyton having to hold off Las Vegas and return to Tree Hill. All to find Lindsay waiting to plead her love to Luke one last time. Brooke… she and Luke will always be each others’ back-ups, which will keep them both secure and loved. Brooke will move on with the good-looking surgeon. I have more theories, but will stop for now. Fingers and toes crossed for LEYTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

honestly, i think that the person that said “have you told him yet” meant like have you told him how you feel about him because right after that call and the text message she finally calls and admits that she has feelings for him. its been like three months since the wedding and if she was pregnant I can’t imagine her waiting until now to say it. If the call was to Brooke the “want to get married tonight” thing had to be sarcastic. Maybe because of all his drama. Plus, he only went to Brooke’s to find Peyton hence the “where’s peyton” “probably at work” — and he goes right to her work and says its still hard. Who knows, maybe he goes to vegas, things dont work out as planned with whoever, bunch of drama…and thats about it. Maybe it’ll be jeyton type scene? He goes with Lindsey and she catches him saying “I love you Peyton” in his sleep or something? lol. I imagine Lindsey could be back a few episodes but even if it was 4 episodes that would mean it wasn’t permanent. Plus they should kill that story line because in that interview with james lafferty he made the comment that season six is probably the last season or something…though I really, really hope its not.

Amy to true him asking that as soon as he entered had me feeling that was the real reason he went there cause he went straight to her office after that scene and someone else said that the marrage thing is just to throw us off yea it didnt really make sense at that point unless its peyton cause after there talk but it really didnt fit in after all that darkness doestn have the answers and what not cause something liek going to vegas to get married is pretty reckless so unless sometihng major is said from him next season id have to say that it is a diverson somehow i said it before but i can see it as a joke from lucas to one of the guys also anyone else thought it was weird how brooke didnt here about the ihy or nothing was said on why she doesnt know?? that really didnt make sense to me cause if she new i think she would have said something to lucas like haley did or it would have at least have peyton say something like i didnt want to tell cause of her situiton with angie i dont know maybe i just missed that part

On the contrary to why i believe it is not lindsay, is that isn’t she suppose to be on a plane? we do not necessarily know the timing of each person saying hello. And she was in the tree hill airport when she called lucas when he was on the river court. As well as it was supposedly her last showing on one tree hill.
I think it will be peyton, but they won’t get married, they will want to do it with all their friends. (from season 1…i want everything wiht you…they want to do it right)
I can’t be brooke because i’m sorry if they really do brin that story line back it is pathetic. Also, i think broke ahs grown so much and would never do that to Peyton.
There is also a possibility that MArk doesn’t know who he wants it to be yet, that is why he left it like that.

ok all this talk about lucas telling her to let go or meaning to and not knowing it ur forgeting the whole scene between leyton were she says shes going to let go if it will make him happy and after that there was no talk about there feelings between each other or no scene involving leyton that could have shown her feelings for him there was some with breyton and laley diffently scenes between paley so that leads me to beleave lucas thought she might have let go and was simply asking her if her dream of marring him was only a dream she was having also how do we know it was a voicemail from lindsey and not them actually talking just because he didnt say anything back?? i didnt see anything that lead me to think it was simply a vmail i think they actually talked but he was just unsure what to say for reasons well anyone can say but it was either he was surprised by her words but the whole rc scene seemed to have a factor in it or he might have said something but we wont see it till next season and once brucasfan we agree but not on brucas but id like to see karen and whitey back aswell

the airport scene is totally redone… they did it the same way in s2 at the end of the school year party at tric…. where Brooke and Lucas had just done the roadtrip to see Haley and right before they had left Brooke had found the box of peyton stuff (that lucas kept to remind him of how bad he hurt brooke) anyways so brooke is standing in the crowd listening to Jimmy Eat world and she it flashes back to her telling lucas that its okay he’s still into peyton which hearing this hurts lucas cause he is very much in love with her but cant said it cause they are friends… so it goes back to brooke who is getting upset she turns around the ppl part and there is standing lucas looking at her like she is the only one in the world that matters ( the Im the guy for you Brooke Davis Look)

I think that lucas and peyton do need closure,but thats it. I am all for brucas, but i do want the whole leyton issue resolved first. I would hate for them to get together with peytons ghost between them. So although I want my brucas back, and I totally do. I think that he should deal with the peyton issue first. Hopefully he doesnt have to be with her to do that.

that is why I think its just foreshawdowing… both Big brucas moments are just remakes of S2 where lucas was madly in love with brooke but they were just being friends…. like the one i just mentioned and the I love yous were done almost the same as well… so like i said the writers arnt stupid I mean look at the 82/86 letter thing and the purple monkey they are leading up for a big brucas moment… and I just hope its them getting together…..

So I’ve thought about last night’s episode a lot and here’s what I’ve come up with.
I absolutely loved the scene with Jamie and Gavin it was my favorite scene of the night! So cute! I also loved the water balloon montage…so funny!!
On to the drama that is Lucas…I think his dedication was as much about himself as about anyone else. This season he’s kind of forgoten about the immensity of love the sacrifice that goes with it. I also loved that the old Luke was back at least he was for his scene with Peyton. I think he calls Peyton. I don’t think it’s Lindsey like someone said earlier he already thought she left so he wouldn’t have her meet him at the airport and get her ticket. But I don’t think it’s Brooke either. Brooke wouldn’t do that to Peyton all season she’s been saying how Lucas is in love with Peyton he’s just lying to himself. It would be ridiculous for her to go back on all that and say “ok let’s get married”. If he’d simply been inviting someone to Vegas then Brooke would’ve had a fair shot. I think it’s Peyton because we know Leyton is happening in Season 6 and also it just makes sense with the episode. He realizes at the Rivercourt that Peyton really loves him. He hurt her so much and yet she did this amazingly beautiful painting for him to let him know she loves him and is back. Then there was their whole scene with him admitting it’s still hard to be around her. So I think he calls Peyton to see if she meant what she said and if she’d marry him. But I also think their happiness won’t last. Lindsey will be back in the middle of next season and she’ll be bringing his baby with her. Did ya’ll catch that ominous “Did you tell Lucas?” Lindesy said “no” but since they’re broken up what could she have to tell him? Something to consider. Now for the Brucas fans I’m sorry it won’t happen Mark likes to hook Brooke up with other guys Owen is back next season. Brooke falls in love often. Peyton on the other hand gets Luke…she had Jake and that’s when she realized she loved Luke.But hey I’m more than willing to let Brooke have Lucas and his broody self if Peyton can have Owen or at least another option.

Amazing episode. It really made the whole season come together. I hope they don’t kill off Dan. As much of a terrible person he is, he’s still trying to be good and I kinda feel bad. Plus the drama he creates is fun. I love Jamie. He is so cute. I want my kid to be like him if I have a boy. But it is crazy how much he looks like Lucas.
Now for the call cliffhanger… When Lindsey called Luke, it went straight to voicemail cause he was on the phone with someone else. He called Haley to come look at the rivercourt, hense why she shows up. So who knows if he ever gets the voicemail.I sure hope it wasn’t Lindsey that he called from the air port, I never thought that she fit in the story. She was good for the suspense of letyon getting back together. It can’t be Brooke. That would be the ultimate also in the face to peyton and I don’t think shed put her through that. so it is most obviously peyton that he calls.

maybe my mind is just twisted, but here’s what I think mean ‘ole Mark has up his sleeve:
1. Luke calls Peyton, and she’s like “sweet!”
2. She’s on her merry way to the airport and smashes her car into dan (remember the spoiler about the smashed comet and peyton all banged up)
3. Luke waits around in the airport for Peyton, but she’s in the hospital, and he’s all “WTF IHY Blah!”
4. Broody Luke goes to Vegas, gets smashed, hooks up w/ Jake’s evil baby mama again, and gets herpes (or similar).
5. Peyton cries some more.
Thus setting up at LEAST another full season chock full ‘o the OTH angst we know and love. Yesss!!!!

ok how are ppl paring rachel and owen that doesnt make any sense at all they are a uneeded couple there to nonessental cha them being there together has no factor on the show and the whole sceniro would just take up screen time and brooke said nothing apprently which doesnt mean 100% that nothing is happeing same goes for lucas and lindsey before anyone says an i dont see owen coming back unless it has to do something with brooke and ppl dont freak out about the idea of brooke falling in love with lucas its just very unrealistic the writers would do the same thing 3 times even if the roles were reversed and its not about brooke not doing that to peyton its about the writers not wanting that sort of thing to happen again more so if its the last season there going to want to go out with a bang or on the best note or season ever and they wont do a good job of that repeting a story line for the 3rd time with the only change is the girls are reversed im sorry if someone sees this as me being ugly or mean i cant sleep so im gettin cranky

It has to be Peyton that he calls, because Lindsay won’t appear in OTH again, it was her last epizode, and it was said somewhere here that she was crying after the last scene and everyone was applauding her, so that means that it can’t be she that he’s calling.
And also, there’s no way that he calls Brooke, because Brooke and Peyton are best friends and he must know that there’s no way that Brooke would do something like that to Peyton.
And last person that he talked to was Peyton, and I think he realized how much she was hurting and how much she loved him, and the whole thing on the river court… I mean it must me Peyton that he calls!!!

for the lindsey thing i originally thought that maybe she was pregnant…but then in hearing the phone call/voicemail message..whatever it was, i’m pretty sure it was just that she wasn’t actually seeing anyone and still had feelings for him etc.
did anyone else notice how she had some serious similarities to peyton? especially after she dyed her hair to look like her. yeah further proof that lucas is completely in love with peyton!
anyway, i hate the writers for messing with us like this! i have about 300 theories as to who it is..but one is that its lindsey, and they have a quickie marriage and it doesnt work out and by the beginning of season 6 he’s with peyton because it took the mistake of marrying lindsey for lucas to realized how much he loved her. otherwise i think its like …nathan/skills/mouth..brooke even…and the marriage thing was sarcastic and they’re going to vegas for a guys weekend/escape time from reality.

I totally think it was Peyton that he called. And here’s why…
While he did get Lindsey’s vm, when he called (whoever he called) he said, I’m at the airport and I have 2 tickets to Vegas. Want to get married tonight? But when he was at the Rivercourt he told Haley that Lindsey was already gone. So why would he call her and say he has 2 tickets if he thinks she’s already gone back to NY? It would have to be for someone that is already in Tree Hill. As for it being Brooke…I just don’t think so. While they bonded over Angie, I haven’t seen a romantic connection between them for quite some time. Their “ILY’s” were defintiely just as friends. I think that after seeing the RC and going to talk to Peyton, after hearing her say her dream is to marry him, after advice from Haley about LOVE…he’s finally back. LEYTON will live on in season 6, I can feel it.
And if not, well that’s just what I’m going to keep telling myself b/c that’s the only way I think I’ll be able to make it the next 3 months with OTH!

That leaves us with Lindsey and Peyton. I think it will be Peyton that he calls BUT it could also be Lindsey.
Yes, we have all probably heard that 5×18 was Lindseys last episode, but in the world of OTH that is not always true. Do you not remember hearing that 5×12 was her last episode?
Also, if Luke was trying to win Lindsey back for so long why would he just all of the sudden call up someone else and say “hey lets go to Vegas and get married tonight!” That just makes it seem like he never cared for Lindsey.

As much as I hate to admit it, they might just kill off Dan only because theres not much else they can do with his storyline. Sure they can give him the heart transplant and he can live longer, but does anyone care? No, no one does. Its like he’s a ghost even though he’s alive. But, if they killed him off, maybe everyones true feelings about him will show because he actually is gone.

i think denise made a good point. someone suggested on anothe site that when the person asked lindsay if she’d told lucas…maybe they’re asking if she’s told him she’s pregnant. i also heard michaela has been asked back for multiple episodes in s6. i think it would be an interesting twist if he marries peyton and then finds out lindsay is pregnant. that’s one storyline they haven’t done w/ any of the characters yet. if next season is the last, then it would be a clever to end the show by putting lucas in dan’s position and showing him handling it differently.

i hope it’s not brooke, after everyone and their mom saying lucas and peyton are meant to be together *including* brooke. besides, i think brooke is way too good for lucas. i used to think the opposite when the show first started, but brooke’s character has evolved and matured so much. she needs someone on her level. i don’t think they’d bring jake back, but if they did, then i hope they put him w/ brooke this time. it would be perfect since she is ready for motherhood and could help him raise his daughter.

i just can’t see brooke w/ lucas at all. i feel like the whole show has always hinted that he and peyton are destined to be together. growing up, she was the girl he always dreamed of being w/. plus, he wrote not one but two books about her. it just would make no sense to me for him to end up w/ brooke after they’ve implied a million different ways that peyton is the love of his life.

I think that we’ll all speculate about the call being to Peyton, Brooke, or Lindsey all summer. But only in September will we find out. Until then, I’m just gonna enjoy talking to everyone and reading the spoilers that come out as soon as filming starts! (Hopefully there are some, it would be terrible if there was nothing to get us by these next few months). And, way to go on the comments HKD lol, I seem to miss a lot when I’m gone all day!

OMG why can’t they let Lindsey go. I have noticed Mark just can’t let a charcter be. Just has to keep brining them back and back when they have no use on the show anymore. Like Rachel. Why?
Nobody likds Lindsey, she is a waste of airtime and she is SO BORTING!!!!!! And there is NO chemistry between her and Lucas. It is like watching two ants having sex.
They are following that whole forumula that the super couple can’t be togehter because it ruins the chemistry of the show. Well, you know what? If you are a good writer and stay true to your characters you can make anything work. Continually keeping the two leads apart with angst and drama is just lazy writing.

i just cant believe that mark would make lucas look like such and ass….i mean how mean would that be to just blow peyton off like that????? I think Peyton fell back to the people always leave. You tell someone you love them and want to marry them but think they should wait. Peyton was being the responsible one. And then days without contact turn into weeks without contact and then months and then a year. At some point I think both become stubborn about calling saying if he/she loves me they will call me.
Then Peyton gets the call. Come to my book signing and she sees a ray of hope only to have it dashed when she sees Lindsey kiss Lucas on the cheek. Oh, he has moved on she thinks. And selfless Peyton again acquiesces to someone else for Lucas’ affection.
Pride can be a hurtful thing, and it cost both Lucas and Peyton four years without each other.

lol yeah, i just looked at the post counter after i saw TB’s comment. Yeah! It said season 6 premiers on Sept. 1st but we’ll have to have spoilers way before then. They only have like 5 weeks off between filming the seasons. Maybe it is Lindsey. Maybe they try it…maybe it finally falls apart for good and they’ll realize they aren’t in love. Its hard to kill her off the show without closure…at least if they give us closure in the first few episodes she can be gone for good and won’t come back hopefully lol. (Even though i’d just rather her be gone now!)
Brucasfan I agree with you and others. Though I really would love for Leyton to be together… no matter what happens they need to try it at least one last time. Whether they are endgame or not, I don’t think either of them would be completely successful in another relationship unless they got closure…and I really don’t think they’ve had that yet. So no matter what, because I’ve never said I don’t like Brucas…I just happen to really like Leyton–I just want to see Leyton try it one last time (which was a spoiler for season 6) so we’ll have to see how all of that works out!
BUT, get rid of Lindsey/Lucas…honestly.

I think when I read about Lucas and Lindsey’s late night airport scene that it was on another site and the girl had gone to the taping and said that both Lucas and Lindsey were filming in the airport at the same time but she didn’t know if they were filming a scene together or not. I agree with Sara though if after everything Peyton has done if Lucas blows her off AGAIN then I hope Mark gives Peyton a different guy. Bring back Pete or a brand new guy. I’m kinda over tortured Peyton. I love Leyton and really want that to be endgame. But if Lucas marries someone else in Vegas after the RC painting and after his convo with Peyton and his books then he is a dumb*** and I don’t see how Peyton would be able to get over that.

i agree with you brittney, although this ep kinda gave me a little closure with lucas and lindsey…they just need to leave it at that….or make lucas get the message after him and peyton have already hooked back up and he just lets it roll off his back. But lucas and peyton need to be back together. I hope for good but if not it has to be because they decide it and bc of someone coming between them or something. Its not that I dont like brooke and lucas, it is just that lucas and peyton are only really happy when they are together. Plus I really feel for sophia having to do those scenes with chad after all that has happened between them. I would imagine if they did a brucas reunion thing, you guys wouldnt get much if any onscrene action, you can tell the scenes with chad and sophia are shot so that they only have to be on screen together as little as possible. is that how you would want it if they got back together?

You know, I was thinking when I had to drive to Nashville today. I don’t so much want Peyton together with Lucas so much. He is really a self-centered jerk who never seems to apologize for his actions.
Peyton is this amazing, vibrant, succesful, beautiful young woman who has so much to offer. She could have any guy she wanted, but she continues to fret over Lucas and he really isn’t worth it.
I realized I could take Peyton with just about any other guy, except Jake I thought he was too whiny. But I don’t want Lucas with anyone but Peyton.

ahh, i just miss happy leyton sara, lol. If they try it again and really don’t work then fine (though I can’t see that being the case) but if they really, really don’t work at all…then i’ll feel a little better if things don’t work. This season was good, but kind of disappointing too in a few ways…hardly any Naley…the Lucas and Peyton story lines…I wish Brooke wouldn’t have had to give up the baby (I wish she could have adopted one and kept it) but then again, thats not my decision to make lol.

Denise it actually makes perfect sense! Peyton has turned out so amazing! She used to be the one with so much uncertainty. Sure, she has been pining over Lucas…but she’s got a label, artists, friends, and support. And Lucas practically lost his coaching job, girl…and almost didn’t start that second book in due time. I’d like to see him grow up because he is a character with so much potential. I loved Lucas season 1-4…and this season he made me so upset!

see i really thought that brooke and chase were an awesome couple… they had chemistry and she was a better person when she was with him back then. He made her want to be better. (not saying that she was bad, just how it is when you meet someone….u want to be better for them) and they still had great chemistry this season, i wish he would have stayed….they didnt have baggage and I would have love to see the season lighten up with brooke and chase back together…they were very fun to watch…they did alot of fun scenes…lucas and brooke did a lot of good chemistry scenes but not many fun ones.
I can understand that lucas loves lindsey, after 2 years how could he not. BUt that being said, there is something to say for history. And he clearly ended up with lindsey because peyton “didnt show” at the book signing. And he couldnt write until she came back, and then he wrote ANOTHER book about peyton while he was “in love” with lindsey. then he kissed peyton while he was with lindsey. Then even after he asked her to marry him he was still glaring at peyton at the bacholer party. I just dont think he can be with lindsey or brooke when his heart is still conflicted with peyton…he said it himself,,it is still hard for him to see her…that says something…when it is hard to be around someone it is because you still love them…

I suppose you’re right about the jake thing. he did realize way back in season 3 that Peyton loved Lucas. i was just picking up on the lucas being an ass thing. I don’t think that he should break up with lindsey to make peyton happy…i just mean he’s been kind of a butt in general. like towards the beginning when he was like peyton, he’s not good enough for you. it wasn’t fair to her and stuff… and the i hate you, grabbing the player. i guess all of the other characters have had season long battles, and lucas has usually been there to support everyone. i guess it was time for him to go through a tough time.

Yeah… I think that Chad and Sophia naturally give the Brucas relationship better chemistry though. Like i’ve said before, i’m not anti-brucas at all! I just mean…they were married…they were in love in real life…so i would hope that more chemistry would be obvious in that relationship because Hilarie and Chad have always been just a couple on the show while dating other people in reality.

Lucas and Brooke’s best chemistry scenes were all when chad and sophia were dating or married! of course they were gonna have chemistry… but the most intense scenes were the break up ones like the “why dont you ever let me all the way in” at Naley’s wedding and the break up in his bedroom the next day, even the scene with brooke and peyton “he’s on the damn door under me”- it was when they were divorced and the emotion in Sophia’s performances was real- the ones with him and fighting with the ‘other woman’

I think what makes me so mad at him is that Lucas never to ownership of his actions in season five. It was like he was an audience member in his own life instead of the director. And the main incident I am referring to is when he KISSED PEYTON BACK and then ran home to Lindsey. If she hadn’t found the ring, maybe he would have had the balls to face his true feelings. But there was her and her big nose all in his ring for Peyton saying oh my goodness, oh my goodness.
So, there was his out. He kind of loved her, she loved him and if he married her he wouldn’t have to face his feelings for Peyton.
Peyton has been the only honest one all season.

lucas would be being an ass because he has no consideration for anyone’s feelings but his own. Peyton put herself out there, way out there for him, and whether he chooses her or not, he still needs to be considerate of peytons feelings. If you did all that for a guy, and all he did was call someone else, it would make me think of him as an ass. That is like rubbing salt in an open wound. If he wants to persue lindsey, or brooke or whoever that is fine, he just needs to show a little more consideration for the girl who was at one time the love of his life. I am just having a real problem with how crappy lucas has been this season. sorry

But to throw away your chacne at your soulmate is a waste of your life. Most people don’t even get that close. Most people settle. He was choosing to settle. He was being a coward. I always thought Lucas was this great guy that faced his fears head on.
He slayed so many dragons for everyone else. For Haley, for Peyton, for Brooke, even for Nathan. But when it came time for him to face his biggest dragon of all – the quest for his soulmate and his heart’s desire, he chose to stay in the village and deny himself to chance to be a hero.
So, that is why I think Lucas was the hero in seasons 1-4 and the heel in season five. Nathan is now the slayer of dragons in the Scott family because he fought for his soulmate and now has the life Lucas envies.

I think the brucas scenes in the past had so much chemistry because of real life also. But what i was trying to say was, in lieu of a brucas reunion, chase and brooke had really good chemistry as well. I think the problem I have is everytime I see b/l together, i feel for chad and sophia. I just cant imagine having to kiss my ex and tell him that I love him and do all the coupley things that they would have to do if the got back together. I mean poor sophia, her she is dating james (maybe?) and just trying to get past all the hurt and it gets thrown back in her face everyday she goes to work..it just must suck.

well said denise…. if he were to settle, peyton will still always be there haunting his dreams….but honestly, i just didnt see the chemistry between lindsey and lucas…it was like watching a brother and sister kiss. There was more chemistry between peyton and lindsey than lucas and lindsey. Another thing that makes me mad is that lucas just walked away from peyton and didnt fight for her, but he fought for lindsey like a madman, even though he still loves peyton

He fought so hard for Lindsey because she was his shield from Peyton. No Lindsey and he would have to face his feelings for Peyton again and face the fear of getting rejected.
I am telling you it all goes back to the little boy who felt he wasn’t good enough. I am sure Peyton was always the popular girl, even when she was playing loner. Lucas and Haley were the kids who were almost invisible in class.
So Lucas watches Peyton from afar. Always telling himself he wasn’t good enough for her. And to make it worse she begins dating his half-brother the boy who seemingly had everything that Lucas desired. A big home, a father who loved him, basketball and the girl he longed for from afar.
Then he was allowed into Peyton’s inner circle. He was afforded a glimpse into her heart and he felt like his dream had oome true. He wanted it all from her but she backed away. Then she was in his grasp again. Stolen kisses and longing glances only to have her walk away from him yet again for the betterment of her frienship with Brooke.
Then she tells him in season four that she is IN LOVE with him. He says “oh” because Lucas is unsure how to handle a Peyton who loves him. But he opens his heart to her and for a brief time they are happy. Everything tastes and smells better, right?
Then BOOM, his dream girl again validates his fears by saying someday. Lucas feels his inadequacy and unworthiness for Peyton and runs. Runs from her and his feelings, locking his love and his heart away in a steal box. A box with a lock and Peyton is the only one that has the key. Now, he still can love, but his capacity for TRUE LOVE can only be opened by his TRUE LOVE, which is Peyton.

Love your post Denise…I totally agree!!! And it goes with the finale and Haley saying that he needed to stop running. He needs to stop running away from Peyton!! At the beginning of the season he went after her a little more and she totally wasn’t going after him and then she declared that she loved him and then all the sudden he was singing a different tune.

My favorite scene was the one where Peyton goes off on Lucas about how they were supposed to have always and throws his books at him. But I love episode 7…Peyton trying to give Lucas the check, the kiss, the Brooke Davis, Peyton and Brooke’s mom…it was just a great episode right until the last 5 or 10 seconds.

I dont know about you but I think we always end up having the same disscussion and thats the leyton vs brucas… and i dont think mark has any clue who he is going to make them end up… YES when he started the show he knew but now he is on record saying he doesnt anymore…
as for lucas I think he isnt using lindsey to hide from peyton.. I think after peyton said someday.. lucas moved on.. found someone who he ended up truly loveing someone who shared his love for thing… peyton comes back and of course unresolved feelings get stired up… everytime i see an ex i truly and deeply loved it makes my heart beat a little faster… but do we really expect lucas to be like see ya lindsey thanks for keeping me occupied the last year but peyton is back HA… peyton made her bed she has to lay in… just like lucas as to accept that he gave up on peyton.. I think when haley asked peyton is she was truly in love with lucas or just the idea of lucas that was the most honest Peyton has been about this whole thing…. She’s a little of both She’s in love with the idea of what she thought they were….that speak VOLUMES… as for chad and sophia rumors are that they have moved on from that and yes as it still would be hard… they are actors its there job and they do a fanstastic job… and some of this seasons best Lucas moments are with his chemistry with brooke…
I wouldnt honestly count Brooke out of the running to be the love of lucas life… and as a brucas fan i have yet to count out leyton… i think both have equally good chances of being end game…

So I have a really screwed up theory that I don’t believe in at all, but what the heck.
Maybe Lucas calls Brooke (he hasn’t been himself lately, and he’s hungover, so then he calls Brooke) and she goes with him to Las Vegas, and when they are there the whole 82/86 letters are being explained? Kinda like Brooke gives him the last 4 letters and says that she hasn’t forgotten him at all. Or maybe the 4 letters are one letter per year since they graduate until they met again?
Once again, I don’t believe in this, but it would be perfect in my world!

i think it’s obvious that dan will still be alive.
he gets the beep, someone sees him lying on the ground. picks him up. send him back to the hospital and gets his heart fix while they are trying to revive him back. lol.
and i don’t think any of them will get married in vegas. i’m guessing peyton will follow lucas as a friend. lucas is clearly insane. the girls still have miss conscious with them. they will just talk him out of it that it’s a irrational decision and let it go. and besides, the girls would definitely want a much pleasant and full-plan wedding rather than just crashing into vegas and getting married. doesn’t make sense and it beats the objectives of true love. -_-”

After reading a lot of stuff on this page…I have a few things to say or point out. Just opinions of course.
First of all Brucasfan, yes. We keep going around and around with the Leyton vs Brucas but we all seem to keep finding reasons to fight for them lol.
Keith and Karen would be such an interesting comparison, one that I actually see. After Karen said “no” the first time (I think she really wanted to say yes…timing, all that was kind of off) Keith gave up for a while. Then the whole Jules thing happened…and he proposed to her pretty fast…because even though Jules was paid off (she did truly love him–remember?)–it was an easy relationship in Keith’s eyes…one to keep him away from the hurt. I’m noticing a pattern between the two relationships in a way. I just hope Lucas and Peyton get their happily ever after…the one Karen and Keith deserved after everything they’d been through. The Camilla and Whitey thing makes me think of Lucas and Peyton, as well. First of all, Brooke and Lucas mutually decided that it wasn’t them when Whitey was talking about it. Sure you can love some one…but I don’t think they were as in love as they thought. Plus, Brooke used Lucas that one night to make Peyton mad. Peyton has never used Lucas to make anyone mad, she’s always loved him. During the Camilla speech, i’m pretty sure Peyton glances at Lucas…confident that he’s her “Whitey” so to speak.
Another thing is…I’ve read comments here and elsewhere that imply what Peyton did was terrible…the “she took away the love of Brooke’s life” kind of thing. Though I don’t agree with how Peyton/Lucas worked the first time, it was mutual. Peyton even said I can’t be doing this…that should have never happened…because she wanted to NOT hurt Brooke. But remember, Lucas was so persistent, he wanted to be with Peyton. And lets not forget that Brooke isn’t without her faults, either. Peyton obviously liked Lucas, a lot. Yet Brooke constantly pushed for his attention, knowing that her best friend who has a really hard time opening up, was so into someone. Even before Peyton got to kiss Luke that first time, Brooke knew that Peyton really liked him. Why do you think she went behind her back to try and hook her back up with Nathan? If Brooke wanted to get Lucas, she knew Peyton would pose a huge threat…which she did. Brooke goes in for the kill so fast that Peyton didn’t get enough time to tell Lucas how she felt. So, she goes to his house in the middle of the night to tell him she wants everything with him, too. Then, Brooke, her best friend, walks out in a sweatshirt of Lucas’s saying “Hey superstar, ready to score?”…I felt terrible for Peyton. It’s wrong to say that Peyton stole him away from Brooke because before she had any idea that Brooke was at Lukes house, she confessed her true love for him. BEFORE she saw Brooke. It’s never been about wanting him when she can’t have him–her timing might be off, but thats about it.

It’s been there from the beginning, Lucas and Peyton. They haven’t had it easy, it’s always been hard. But as the intentions of the quote are…true love is hard, complicated. Other people and events get in the way…but if people are meant to be they’ll end up together in the end.
So, though I think that Lucas and Peyton were meant to be…I’ll have to wait to find out. If they don’t end up together in the end, then they weren’t as meant to be as the writers have portrayed. But, im crossing my fingers that we’ll finally have a LP wedding next season!

Brittney that was awesome…you see cause no matter what any of us writes…we don’t know who is going to be end game…but i doubt it will be Brooke and Lucas…don’t think the writers are going to go back down that road…as far as scenes with them i think the writers just want to keep everyone happy and don’t want to lose viewers…which i’m a leyton fan and i really would like to see them together again…he lets peyton in, they talk and they have alot in common, you see the episode that went back three years…NOW THAT’S WHAT YOU CALL CHEMISTRY up until the proposal he was a little pissed…but back to my point…the writers probably feel if they don’t throw any “Brucas” scenes they will lose those viewers…but I as a “Leyton” would never stop watching because he didn’t have my favorite couple together…the show is great and the story line from the beginning has been awesome…and it keeps getting better with time…so of course im routing for Leyton…but i don’t mind if its Brucas…I liked them too, but i just don’t believe they HAD all this chemistry that everybody is claiming…when he was with Brooke…he was always with Peyton.

Lucas calls Peyton, I believe so…
though Im a Brucas fan. I think it’s not Brooke, The “I love you lucas, you know that” and “I love you too Brooke Davis” is like a seal of their friendship. There’s just alaways a special place in their hearts for eachother.
I think the call Brooke got was from Angie’s coming home safe…
I think Lindsay’s call is the conference call from her office… but there’s a slight chance that it might be her after the voicemail she made for Lucas… since Lucas at this point really want her back… The only question is: was Lucas able to listen to her voicemail? there’s a chance that he deleted it because of his pain of loosing her
Therefore, there’s a big chance that it’s Peyton. The revelation of love she made at the river court, and the line she gave Lucas that “It’s my dream” of saying yes to his proposal is such a big hint… I think… There’s a chance that Lucas read the edited version of his book Lindsay gave to him and reminded him of how great Peyton is and his love for her…
Four months more to get our answers. So guys just hang in there.. and keep speculations coming…

I actually think that it’s Lindsey. I don’t think Lucas calls Peyton or Brooke after watching the episode. Just the way Lindsey answered the phone it was like she knew who was calling her whereas Brooke and Peyton’s faces looked like they were worried/confused about who was calling. I think it makes sense for Lucas to call Lindsey after listening to her voice mail. Even though Peyton made that picture for him. They couldn’t just go and get married, it would suck. Their relationship would be them married and getting to know one another again. It wouldn’t work. So if Lucas does call Lindsey maybe she’ll say no she can’t marry him because he’s got to many unresolved issues with BOTH Peyton and Brooke. So maybe he’ll go to Vegas by himself and get in trouble and Brooke and Peyton will have to come and rescue him? Who knows?
And I think the writer’s wanted to make a point that Lucas was really in love Brooke too by having Haley read the “I will try again with Brooke Davis” prediction to Peyton (even if it was by accident).
To me it seems the writers are trying to show that it isn’t written in stone that Lucas and Peyton are going to end up together. So who know maybe Lucas will choose neither of the girls? Maybe he’ll choose Brooke (which I would love) or maybe he’ll choose Peyton. Nothing is for sure, especially not in this show.

If it’s Lidnsey I hope that don’t drag it out all season where they don’t work out as a couple and gets together with Brooke or Peyton. I just don’t want them to waste the season!!!

All I meant by it’s not written in stone is that this show has had SO many “twists and turns” that I’ve just come to expect the unexpected. I know people on the show have said that it’s meant to be but Chad (earlier in the show like a year or two ago) said he hoped Brooke and Lucas were together. And Mark had also said in interviews that he doesn’t know who Lucas will end up with. Which could be a lie but still.
Also, Brooke’s face seemed concerned like it was something about Angie and Peyton looked like she didn’t really know who was calling her. Maybe it’s that guy who said he knew Ellie.
I hope Lucas doesn’t call Peyton for the simple fact that she deserves better than a wedding in Vegas. So does Brooke (Lindsey does too but whatever). I know Peyton said the whole thing about her dream but I don’t think getting married in Vegas is what she wants. She obviously wants to be with Lucas but c’mon Lucas should know Peyton deserves better than a call saying “wanna get married?”
And some earlier posts said some girl knows who it is and said everyone will be SHOCKED. Maybe it’s someone from the past four years we haven’t met yet. Maybe Lucas calls up some random girl that way he doesn’t have to choose between the three girls who all have pieces of his heart. Cause that would be a big shocker.

Hey so I know this is random butttttt I wanna ask what’s up with Brooke’s letters. Did the show screw up with how many she wrote to Lucas? I know there was 82 but then I’ve seen posts where people are like “what’s with the 82/86 letters?” so there’s 4 that are unaccounted for? Did she like write one a year for four years or something? I really wanna know what’s going on with that because those letters were a big part of why Lucas forgave Brooke and said he wanted to be with her. It’s sooo confusing me.
As for who he calls…ahhhhh I have NO clue. It could have been anyone of those girls or even someone random. I cannot wait until we find out. I might go crazy by then. haha

Carly im sorry i wasn’t pointing that towards you…Im just frustrated with the whole season…i doubt anybody knows who it is…but the marriage thing i think was to throw us for a loop…you know when it comes back on they will replay that last scene where he is in the airport and the marriage thing he’ll probably laugh like that’s what everyone does goes to vegas and gets married…But dont forget end of season one nathan and haley did that…just up and got married and Luke was shocked…so it could mean something…and now Chad is rooting for Leyton…I saw it in an interview and they are like close friends…he goes to her house and she goes to his and his finance and her are friends and so is her husband and him…i think that’s awesome though.

I honestly think the 82/86 letter thing could have totally been a mistake on the writers part…and they are like “oh maybe it means something” to cover up the blunder. Doesn’t mean thats really how it is…but ya never know. I know she wrote 82…. maybe there were a few more because Lucas was writing her letters back.

so, I just have to say that this episode was AMAZING!!! first, the opening scene with jamie and gavin degraw, I died! that was the absolute cutest thing EVER. and may I just say that gavin degraw is GORGEOUS. and jamie was definitely owning that fauxhawk. that kid only gets cuter by the episode, seriously. every time you think he can’t get cuter, you’re proven wrong, again. I could go on and on about that but I’ll refrain. but I am so glad they gave him his moment of clarity with the swimming pool thing. for a while he seemed to be an unbearably adorable addition to the show. I’m glad they showed a personal moment for him
if I could just make a comment on the basketball comeback, or whatever it is. for a while I wasnt sure it could happen because of his lack of progress, but when nathan did that spin move and dunk, my jaw dropped to the floor and I got chills all over.
on the whole airport, I have heard who it is and with reasoning, I have clarified it. let me just point out, that this episode, as I have read on this site, was the absolute last for michaela mcmanus, Lindsay, so there is no way that it was her. I also remember that peyton was waiting for a call from mia or whoever it was that knew ellie. by the way, I am desperate to know who that was. it is supposed to be someone big from past episodes. if anyone knows, I am desperate!! but anyway, the only one of those three that it could be is Brooke. I have also heard, however, that they may not be getting married. I think they need to just get away from everything at home that reminds them of what they were recently forced to give away. I kind of hope that’s it too because I am all for leyton and have been even since they hooked up in the beginning. they belong together, end of story.
last, dan was so confusing this episode. first I liked him because he was visiting the reverend guy and bringing him flowers, but then he contemplated killing him and then he stopped then I could see the change in his face from mournful to victorious in a split second when the rev died. and i know that he was next to get the heart, but a guy died, you dont celebrate, no matter the consequences. then I knew, ok now I want him to get run over but then he helps that old couple and it changes again. and I knew far in advance about the crash but even still I jumped when it hit. and as soon I saw the beeper on the floor, I knew it was going to go off in a second. and now I want to know if he died. but they’ll be able to help him quickly because he IS infront of the hospital after all and whatever heart problems come in because of it, there is already a replacement waiting for him. also, who was in the car??!!?? I read that it is someone of importance and I really want to know who.
please let me know if you find answers to any of my questions.

WAIT, notice how Lucas was sitting in the airport contemplating the call…if it’s Brooke and they’re just friends why would he have to contemplate calling her…I think really it’s between Lindsey and Peyton and then my dumb self is looking in the order of the girls picking up the phone…which i think we can count Brooke out but she is first then peyton and last Lindsey… I don’t know im trying to figure this out…I hope we get some kind of spoilers…when do they start filming season 6 anyone no.

i really hope its brooke.they were so sweet together and i believe they would still be if it wasnt for peyton.
lukas was in love for 2seasons and a half with her.it was so sweet in s3 when they were planning their future together.when lukas finally made his move on peyton was somehow with brooke’s permission.i think if she had told him she still loves him at the state champ the wouldnt be any leyton today.leyton was ok in s4,i really liked them.but apart that what some people call meant to be is just a crash he had before even met her.that went away at s1 when she chose to save her friendship with brooke.after that he was just a good friend and nothing more.
i think brooke is a big part of his life probably bigger than peyton and i wish brukas will be on again soon.i hope sometime brooke will realize her love for lukas is far more important than peyton’s friendship and do something about it.
as for the spoilers for s6 i wish it will be just a quick thing when leyton will see they arent meant to be and have their closure.cause brucas is so much better and meant to be.
go brucas i am really rooting to see u together again.

But hun there is a leyton and yes brooke and lucas were cute but…why would Brooke want to be with Lucas again after she knows how much he is in love with Peyton and now Lindsey also for the time being…I can’t believe that you would say Brookes love for lucas is stronger then the Peyton friendship that just amazes me…Look at all they’ve been threw and you mean to tell me that Brooke loves luke more…sometimes I think you guys start getting confused with it being Chad and Sophia more so then Brooke and Lucas…I love Brooke and she’s does not need Lucas…and they are awesome friends after everything they have been threw together as well.
And yes I am a Leyton fan until the end…but gheez you guys are so harsh on peyton sometimes…and I haven’t once heard a Leyton fan talk about Brooke… as far as peyton ending it with Lucas in season 1 because of Brooke…that’s called being a good friend.
Brooke was nasty to peyton also…she wasn’t a saint…But she has grown so much it’s amazing…sometimes I think you guys are making her out to be selfish and childish again like the old Brooke…this Brooke is not the same.

Here’s something to consider.
I was just watching clips of the Jeyton relationship. Truthfully, seasons 1-3 Jake and Peyton (though not together all the time) had some serious love for each other going on. She loved him, trust me, they really had a lot going on together and he was IN LOVE with her. They didn’t work ultimately because of Lucas. Now, watching clips of Lucas and Brooke I think they can be compared to Jake and Peyton. Lucas loved Brooke, i know this and yes they had a lot together as well…but I think she loved him more than he loved her, or at least at times. Ultimately, that didn’t work because of Peyton. THough both Lucas and Peyton have loved other individuals…the reason it never seems to work is because of each other. Even Lucas and Lindsey…if Lindsey knew about the Peyton kiss this season I think she would have been gone earlier?
I dunno…it just seems that both Peyton and Lucas have suffered trying to make other relationships work because they always find their way back to each other… and I have a feeling thats how it will all end up.

Did anyone notice when Lucas was standing there on his phone (listening to Lindsey’s message, or whatever), he looked down A Peyton’s I love you and nodded his head, then when he walked into Brooke’s house he asked where Peyton was and then he abruptly left. I believe it is 100% Peyton that he calls!

So I really think that Lucas is listening to Lindsey’s voicemail or whatever while he’s at the RC looking down at Peyton’s name. And then he realizes he has to talk to Peyton and he goes to B/P’s house looking for Peyton. Also I don’t think they showed us the whole scene between Lucas and Peyton. Where the sceme left off in the episode it didn’t look like either was making a move to leave and usually, at least this season, all Leyton scenes have ended with one of them leaving. So maybe something more happens and we’ll learn about it in Ep.1 of S6 and maybe they cut it out because it would give too much indication of who Lucas calls. Just my conspiracy theory.
Oh and I totally agree with the person who said earlier that Peyton tricked her office out. She did it looks awesome!!!! So much for finding a new office!

for the record…i think he asked brooke were peyton was bc she wasnt there with her..and on an off note someone said that they reason brucas was doing all those angie scnes was bc owwen had to do a movie or something..then y not fill in owens part with peyton i mean she is her best friend or mouth..they obviously wanted it to be lucas otherwise we wouldnt have this little “trifecta”..anyway im not sure if brooke called him to come over or he just came over to come over. but yeah i think its peyton he calls still bc they have to reunite in s6 so we could have a brucas endgame lol.

That might be true, too. But even if Lucas and Brooke aren’t dating they are good friends and everyone else has had some story lines. Peyton has been there for Brooke and Angie, but Peyton has also been really busy starting up a record label. Luke on the other hand…well he just finished a book and isn’t working on another one, and he coaches a few hours a day. I think he has more time on his hands to help out than anyone else. The guy that played Owen was doing a movie? I know he’ll be back next season…I wonder if it’ll be him and Brooke together? Thats how the story line started out.

Ok i’m trying to figure out where this makeout scene comes into play…maybe it is Peyton he calls and they do get married…because she is so thrilled that he called her…of course when she first gets the call she’ll probably say LUKE ARE YOU SERIOUS??? and then he’ll say yeah and confess his love and she’ll say yes and then she’ll be on her way…they get married and that’s where the makeout session will be. Does anybody like that one??
Oh and then she finds out that it’s her real father. And Luke goes with her to find him…just like when he took her to see Ellie while he was with Brooke…

brooke responds in relief which makes me think it was about angie and lindsey answers kinda in hopes, but its not lucas cause LEYTON is ENDGAME!!!!

lol, reason enough to drop a few curse words. I want to see Lucas happy again…actually i’d like to see all of them happy again. What if Owen came back and he and Brooke dated and then she ended up having a baby of her own with him? Like..he overcame that fear? I think it would be great to see Brooke have a baby of her own or something. I want to see Lucas and Peyton happy with each other again and a wedding or even a baby would be nice
They could have an amazing family! And of course Naley…i’d love to see them have another beautiful baby! To see Nathan regain his skills in basketball and to see Haley’s CD turn out really successful. I just want to see OTH end on a note where everyone is happy. Like Season 4…which I think at one point was going to be the complete end of the series? (maybe not) but if it was…everyone was happy…things were how they should be!

That is not the look of a man who is calling a woman that says she was scared of the immensity of his love. A woman he proposed to and she said yes.
THAT is the look of a man who is building up the courage to call someone. He wouldn’t do that with Lindsey, neither would he have that look for Brooke. Only someone you love deeply, the only one who has the true power to hurt you and break your heart would give Lucas a reason to have such fear in his eyes. And that person is and always will be Peyton.

Denise, I always seem to agree with you. You know just how to get the point across! Love that picture. I’m still rewatching season 1…and even before the Lucas/Peyton going behind Brookes back…they just always had that special connection.
Lucas: “Since I don’t get much quiet time these days, mind if I sit here and read while you draw.”

I’m the biggest LEYTON fan ever, so i’m hoping that it is Peyton. I don’t think it is Lindsey because she’s not returning to the show. And I don’t think that it is Brooke because she’s been trying to help peyton out with this whole Lucas thing. She also wouldn’t do that too her best friend. Lucas and Brooke will always love each other and be there for each other but everytime he was with brooke, he was really with Peyton. Everything came back to her and it does with Lindsey as well. So I think it’s peyton. I think he is giving her another chance. She said it was her dream to marry him. I think by him asking her out of the blue this time is kind of like a test to show him if she had the chance to marry him again would she?? How do you explain his second book and him getting inspiration again when she returns, he kissed her back in episode 7, and he kept her ring that he was going to propose to her with for three years. That’s him still holding on and hoping to be reunited. Someone also said that there are a lot of simularities between Keith and Karen and Lucas and Peyton and I totally agree but LP is going to get there happy ending.
It’s always been Peyton since episode 1. If it isn’t then it defeats the purpose of “meant to be” and the other season don’t mean anything.

I think there is a HUGE missing scene between when Peyton says “It was my dream” and the shot of Lucas picking up his packed bag and going out the door.
I think Lucas might a slight move toward Peyton in the time we didn’t see. Maybe he came to her and stroked her cheek. He may have even kissed her. Could be the makout session Hilarie was talking about. Maybe they filmed that scene to use in the season 6 premire.
I think he talked to her a bit and then said he might call her later. He goes home, thinks about what has been going on with his life, thinks about Peyton and everthing. Then he heads to the airport and decides to go to Vegas. He then decides to buy two tickets to Vegas. So, he is sitting in the airport with two tickets to Vegas.
His phone lays loosly in his hand. Should he do it. Should he gamble on her. She said she would be a sure thing if he asked again – does he roll the dice? The answer is in the question.
“Hey, it’s me. I am at the airport. I have two tickets to Las Vegas. You want to get married tonight?”

Yeah it was a look of contempt, not love. But I agree again Denise, I think that some of the stuff they filmed for season 6 is stuff that they filmed during season 5 at the end to use for season 6. I think that we’ll have a nice big Leyton reunion, I hope so. I think that some of the missing pieces will be filled in during episode 1…
and I can’t wait, honestly.

I just watched Lucas’ 5×05 Lucas proposal scene to Peyton. When she tells him someday he tells her she doesn’t love him enough. Then BAM it hit me. There it is right there. Just like I have said before. He can love Brooke, he can love Lindsey and be easy them because it doesn’t cost Luke much to love them.
But with Peyton the need for her love is so great that when he feels her feelings waver just in the slightest, he will back away and shield his heart. Why? Because she is his true love and can hurt him the most.
So, the look and the uneasy question by Lucas was to Peyton. It has to be. Can be no other. The whole season five was about Lucas and Peyton, the foreshadowing was everywhere, and all signs point to them.
Plus if they are going to pursue the Peyton bio-dad storyline I think they do that after Peyton’s personal life is on the right track. Meaning she and Lucas back together.
