Question: Any word on whether Michaela McManus (Lindsey) is returning to One Tree Hill next season? — Sam

Ausiello: Based on the finale, I’d say there’s a 33.333333 percent shot, right? Truth be told, no final decision has been made yet. Wisely, McManus isn’t twiddling her thumbs waiting for producers to decide her fate. The up-and-comer has booked a juicy guest stint on CSI: NY to air next fall. She’ll play a flight attendant who gets caught up in a hijack scheme and ends up helping Mac.

    Lindsey is like a bad cold that won’t go away. They keep coughing her up. I was talking to Amy about this and she said well look at it this way. Even Ausiello doesn’t know for sure and the woman is getting another job, even if it is a guest stint.

    So I will keep singing “Lindsey, Lindsey, go away. We don’t want you here anyway.”

    It’d be stupid to have her back! I like Michaela McManus though, it’s too bad she didn’t play some other character…like, one that didn’t try to get with Lucas (or Nathan for that matter….Nanny Carrie was psychotic.)

    A lot of people have said if he calls anyone else but Peyton it puts a huge hit in the Lucas and Peyton relationship. And I think I agree. Because after Peyton makes such a huge effort, putting her feelings on the Rivercourt, and he still chooses someone else. Yeah, I think that is a slap in the face you can’t recover from.

    She’s an ok actress, but I can’t stand how annoying her character is on the show. Lindsey just doesn’t make sense with Lucas and it seems he is the only one that hasn’t figured that out. Even Haley jumped off the Lindsey train she was on in the beginning of the season. Do you guys remember how they were friends and w/e? Now Haley is all Lucas stop hiding your heart and showing Peyton those predictions. I’m glad we have Haley’s sanity back!

    All i’m going to say is don’t even go there ONE TREE HILL…PEYTON AND LUCAS need there own time together. Marriage and baby. It makes me mad when they finally got together without any problems then they get separated…I WANT THEM BACK SO BAD

    I am good with her not being on OTH anymore. She would make a great desperate house wife or maybe a corps for CSI. I will have it no other way then for Lucas and Peyton to be together. She told him her dream would to say yes if he asked her again, well he won’t get rejected so he should stick with Peyton and make a baby or two.

    I think she will be back. I think she’ll be Preggo because remember when she was on the phone and the girl she was talking to on the phone asked if she told Lucas yet. And lindsey said no. Makes you wonder…

    Lindsay does not fit with Lucas. She is not his type and I find the character annoying. I took that phonecall at the finale to be about the lie she told Lucas about seeing someone. Lucas and Peyton are the endgame. I still believe that. I wish the actress well but do not want to see Lindsay back in Tree Hill anymore!!

    she wasn’t supposed to have any episodes after 5×12 then she suddenly appears again. So even though people think she’s done, we might see her the first couple of episodes.. that’s what I think.

    Because Mark Schwaan can’t let a supporting character go. Even though they have finished their usefulness he keeps recycling them. It is whey these whiners keep saying bring Jake back, though he has no use. And you know what? Mark probably will even though Jake has served his purpose - which was to show Peyton she loved Lucas and always would.

    Im with you… yes Lucas and Brooke did fight but then again they had some amazing times and were happy alot too…..a relationship isnt always “Happy” it takes work and has its ups and downs but in the end when you love someone all you want to do is be with them… Brooke and Lucas are like that… and it will happen.. if you ask me peyton and lucas were just kinda blah.. no high or low points

    Peyton and Lucas are the super couple that are meant to be together because at the end of the day it all comes back to them. The super couple always has the “Big” introduction to each other and theirs was when Peyton almost hit Lucas with her car in the pilot.

    Every aspect of OTH has strains of them and their journey to each other. Lucas and Peyton understand each other, they are comfortable with each other and don’t have to try and be someone else with each other like Lucas did with Brooke and Brooke did with Lucas.

    There is a quiet comfort about Lucas and Peyton when they are together. Plus, look at the latter half of season five. They tried the friendship thing, Peyton even swore she would let Lucas go and Lucas swore he loved Lindsey. But he was always coming back to Peyton just like he always does when he is with someone else.

    And when his security blanket of the month, this time it was Lindsey, left him he didn’t have a buffer from Petyon. So, he avoided her because he knows he can never ever just be friends with Peyton again. Because he loves her too much and every time he sees her he longs for what could be with her.

    In fiction, supercouples are generally thought of as soulmates. They are extraordinarily popular couples who have overcome numerous obstacles or significant strife in order to be together. Sometimes the popularity of a fictional pairing takes precedent over the amount of upheaval they have faced.

    Lucas and Peyton are soulmates, they are very popular, and had to overcome numerous obstacles. They are trying to overcome one right now. Sounds like Lucas and Peyton to me.

    and Lucas is always trying to overcome obstacles with Whomever he is with peyton isnt special….and again Im not having and brucas vs Leyton War….. everyone is entitled to their own opinons and in the end NO ONE KNOWS what is gonna happen… So you keep believeing in Leyton and I will keep my faith and believeing in Brucas….

    Ok, I’m a leytoner but that’s my whole thing as well…I didn’t understand why Brooke got so mad about that kiss either…but then i thought that she got mad because peyton told her she still had feeling for him…and Brooke probably thought in her head that Lucas was more into Peyton anyway…so she shut herself down and let Lucas go and got over him….I was watching season 4 2nd disc 2nd epi and i didn’t realize Brooke said the if you love me your probably gonna die soon twice…THAT is so NASTY to say to someone no matter how mad you are at them…Everytime I see that part I get disgusted

    Also there is no need for a war to go on…This is a great show and we as fan make it go on by watching…so let’s not get out of hand with it…even tho some of the Brooke Lucas fans can get a little sarcastic…but you can’t expect for a Peyton Lucas fan to come back at you.

    I’m a die hard Leyton fan from the beginning and will be until the end.

    Tb why are you being so rude…Hilarie Burton is a phenomenal actress…her expressions, her demeanor everything about her is awesome…there is no way I will believe anybody that doesn’t agree with me…and Peyton is her character on the show…that doesn’t effect what type of person she is in real life…I’ve seen several interviews with her and her energy is fantastic…I bet she brings alot of that to the set…so for you to say something like that is just wrong.

    Ok TB let me very civil about this…because I was just talking to you about the Hilarie Peyton thing…and it was rude and I will say what I feel…but there is no need for you to start getting smart…because I wasn’t getting smart with you.

    Escludo che Lindsey è la destinataria della telefonata di Lucas.Se, come abbiamo potuto vedere in tutta la season 5, Lucas ha dimostrato delusione e risentimento per il rifiuto di Peyton, dovuto al fatto che lei pensava che erano troppo giovani X il matrimonio,come può accettare che Lindsey lo ha piantato in asso davanti all’altare motivando che “aveva paura dell’immensità del suo amore”?Per una persona normale,non può esserci alcun paragone tra i 2 comportamenti.Per tutta la stagione appena terminata abbiamo dovuto subire la assurda rivalsa di Lucas nei riguardi di Peyton.Se il ragazzo accettasse la giustificazione di Lindsey fatta nell’ultima puntata, sarebbe da stupido incoerente o ancor peggio da pazzo!

    and hilarie burton is phenominal actress. and i love her as peyton and i couldn’t see anyone but her playing peyton.

    this is a place where people can express there feelings toward the show but if ur here to fight then just don’t come. I’m 14 and even i know not to be rude like that. and tb if u read over what u said to tanya, it was very rude!!

    Im with you HKD and Sophia… and HKD it didnt come off as rude at least not to me.. Im with you…. Im a die hard Brucas fan and I spend alot of time chatting with Leytoners….. and though we dont see eye to eye on who is Lucas’s one true love…. I think we see eye to eye on that we are all here expressing our own opinons…..and that in the end we all love one tree hill we love what the show means to us each and we love that amy and heather created this place for us…

    Now lets all just play nice together….

    HKD please dont take me wrong.really.but i didnt expect a 14 years old to tell me if i was rude or not.i know exactly what i wrote and how.i wasnt rude.i was being sarcastic.i am sorry but sarcasm is in my blood,not in my character for a very particular reason.

    i really had fun with u a bunch of times so i am asking u nicely not to be like that with me cause u really hasnt seen me being rude.and i do not intend to go there.eventhough i find unbelievably funny(again pick a word with the same but negative meaning) none of u said anything to words like horsefaced-manfaced and u all are talking about what i wrote.

    i always try to be nice but it comes to a point when its useless.my behavior based on how others behaves.its good to say all this crap about lindsey but its a crime when it comes to our precious peyton.

    my comments above are nothing in front what i had in mind to say at first.that was the most gentle i could be.
