Bryan Greenberg Interview at Monte-Carlo Festival
I got notified of this article by a reader. It is a French interview from the Monte Carlo Festival. From what I can tell, Bryan says he’s talked to producers about coming back on One Tree Hill but he says he’s looking into movies now. Someone please translate if you can! I tried Yahoo and it was similar.

Non, je n’ai pas l’intention de revenir dans Les frères Scott. Je fais des films maintenant. J’ai déjà fais de la télévision. J’ai adoré faire partie du cast de séries. Mais dorénavant, je trouve plus amusant de changer de personnage tous les trois mois. Je viens juste de finir le film Bride Wars avec Kate Hudson. Et je pense enchaîner avec un autre film.
Est ce que les producteurs des Frères Scott vous ont contacté ?
Il y a eu des discussions mais ce n’est pas quelque chose que je veux refaire. J’en ai finis avec cette partie de ma vie.
Do you think you will come back in One Tree Hill ?
No I have no intention to come back in One Tree Hill. I am playing in movies now. I have already played on television. I really appreciated to be a member of the cast. But I find
more exciting now to play other character every three months.
Have you recently been in touch with the One Tree Hill producers ?
We have been negotiated recently but is not something I would like to do again. This part of my life is over.

This just made my day. I am so tired of people saying they want Jake back. His chapter of OTH closed when Peyton said Lucas’ name in her sleep and she left him in Savannah. I am just glad the actor realizes it too.

the translation of the interview is as good as perfect, I’m from belgium we speak both dutch and french over here I’ll give you the full translation:

No I have no intention to come back to One tree hill. I play (I make) in movies now. I already did television. I loved being part of the series’ cast. But from now on, i’d like it more to change character every three months. I just finished filming Bride Wars with Kate Hudson. And I think about starting another one immediately (or right away or linking up another movie).
- Did the producers of one tree hill contact you?
We’ve talked about it but it’s not something I want to do again. I’m finished with that part of my life.

i agree. i didn’t want him to come back so much for peyton, just to like see how his life is. does he have custody of jenny or does nikki? cause last we heard he only had jenny for 2 days a week and it was all still up in the air.

I liked his character when he was on before but i didnt think that they would bring him back. i think that if this is the last season then they would not bring another old character back. they already have rachael coming back.

he said he was done with tv but you never know. he would still be playing a different character if it was just for one or two epis and he could still do his movies.

Yea I agree with leyton=TLA… I wouldve liked to see some jealousy eventhough he would only return as Peytons friend… HE IS ADORABLE!!! It would be fun to watch… Too bad :*( BUT in a way I’m glad that they arent dragging out the drama between Lucas and Peyton by bringing him back…

i think if he came back he would have to come back when the whole lucas peyton thing had worked out then it could be a fun episode to see him and he would probably be happy for them

I like Jake but i was sure he wouldn’t come back… Since Peyton is still in love with Lucas what would be the point of Jake coming back? He would be hurt because he would probably still be in love with Peyton and it wouldn’t be mutual…

OH my dear pro-leyton Fanny I agree with you lol
we really have the same brain.
But the only think I would like is Peyton or someone doesn’t matter in season 6 telling that Jake is okay married that Jenny is okay and everything is fine that he is happy etc … Cause I love Bryan Greenberg and I LOOOVE JAke and I was a Jeyton fan and well both Brucas and Jeyton were cute and alll but they weren’t true love .
I just I’M still not over season 3 when peyton goes to visit him huhuhu broke my heart. BUt I was happy for Leyton I knew she was hidding JAke .

e …. got a question usuly I know every title of every song in the show but I was looking for songs to put on my Ipod that I didn’t already have and I thought about the scene in season2 when Jake goes to see Peyton and tell her Nikki as Jenny and she cried and he tells her he loves her etc… and the song in the background what is the title I ‘m not able to find the title.

I WAS a big fan of bryan, but after his never comment I’m po-ed. I wanted jake to come back.
A part of me still hopes though cuz bryan and mark are good friends, so I hear.

Yeah, Mark has said he is good friends with him. And I too wanted to see where he is and what he’s doing with his life. Oh well, maybe they could just mention him again, like Peyton might still keep in contact with him through emails or something.

I knew he would not come back.
He was the lead on his series on a major network and why would he go back to be a supporting player on this show.
From a career standpoint, unless he is desperate for money, he should spread his wings. Although his series did not do as well in the ratings, it did get critical acclaim and gave him the righ exposure.
I loved Jake, but I understand where the actor wants to move on.

i heard there was a chance of it a while ago, but now they need to focus on Leyton <3 i do want to see whats up with little jenny. she must be like six or seven now, jeez. i would love to see how they’re doing now, but if they do, work out Leyton issues first.
and in more realistic terms, October Road is (hopefully) working on one more season and he can’t finish off the show if he’s working on OTH.
and i want to see him more on the big screen. he looks gorgeous on the smaller tv screen, so on a big movie screen…WOW! (like in Prime)

It’s really sad that Bryan thinks that way, the fans want to see him again in the show.
By the way I read that James Lafferty and Chad Michael Murray would go to the Festival of Monte Carlo. Do you know why none of OTH was on?

Who knows, he said things were being negotiated, so MAYBE he will come back. or atleast just for the end, so we can have some peyton closure. I really want him and peyton together. I hate Pucas, just the name makes me wanna puke. Brucas Naley and Jeyton all the way!!

I’m broken at this thought.
I loved Jeyton from the start, everything they did together had a meaning. But I understand if Bryan wants to move on.
I just wish he would come back for one episode, just one. I just wanna see where he is in life and how Jenny is doing. Because Jeyton never really got any closure.
So, thank you Bryan for those amazing years in Tree Hill. People will miss Jake and Jenny dearly. I know I do. And don’t think we are trying to make you go out of guilt, just know that your acting makes people believe again. In love, in art, in music.
