Michaela McManus joins Law & Order: Special Victims Unit

Ladies and gents, meet your new Diane Neal. Michaela McManus (One Tree Hill) is joining the cast of NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as the new assistant district attorney, effective with this fall’s Season 10. McManus will play the ADA assigned to the Special Victims Unit, thus following in the footsteps of predecessors Diane Neal and Stephanie March.
McManus, who attended NYU’s graduate acting program, had a recurring role as Linsey Strauss on One Tree Hill. Are you ready to see Lindsey in the courtroom? — Anna Dimond

That would be a good place for her. I’m a fan of SVU and it is a good place to build a resume…Real Derek also played on SVU as Ice-T’s son. L&O also had Moria Kelly on it this past season.

I don’t think she’ll ruin the show, the ADA has a small role compaired to Benson and STabler, personally I’d liked to see more Munch he’s a trip. But I wish her the best in SVU.

I don’t watch Law & Order but from what I can tell, I think she is a great fit on that type of show. Congrats to her.

I like Michaela as an actress. I didn’t like her as Lindsey (because I am an Leyton fan), but I can’t wait to see her on my second favorite show on TV. She will be great…the ADA position on SVU is an awesome part!

OH MY GOSH! I AM SO EXCITED!!!
I just loved her as lindsey and hated that I knew that they would kick her off over the destined “leyton”. ick. sorry, not a fan of the coupling, but I am so glad Im going to see her on SVU. other than OTH, SVU is my life! jk! I can go on and on about Mr. Christopher Meloni! haha. Can’t wait to see her have scenes with him and Mariska!

I like SUV but sorry I don’t think Michaela is a good actress… But I prefer her on another show because that means she won’t be on OTH anymore and that Lucas will understand that they weren’t meant to be together…

The move to SVU was smart on their part I think! For those who do like Michaela on the OTH cast, it may help boost ratings for SVU!

I honestly dont see michaela fitting in on my other favorite show SVU. I loved Stephanie and Diane on the show, but its really going to suck if Michaela does not do a good job! Anyways, on OTH better that she is gone anyway, I need my LP to be reunited and stay together for once:)

as for MM on SVU…I think she would be good as that kind of character…she has a sophistacated, professional look about her don’t you think?…

I totally agree with you BrynneRN about MM having the sophisticated professional look that fits SVU. I liked Alex a lot and I loved Casey when she first started off, but didn’t like her once she got all focused on particular cases, but thats the writers deal. From what I know, MM’s character is dealing with a divorce as well as adjusting to the new unit. she and elliot will have to take notes… if she sleeps with chris before mariska, I may just die! lol…
