Well, here’s a fun riddle for you savvy mathematicians:
Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) called up and proposed to someone in the latest One Tree Hill season finale—presumably, either Lindsey or Peyton.
The lovely Michaela McManus (OTH’s Lindsey and former receptionist at our E! building gym) has just been cast as a series regular on Law & Order SVU, playing the new assistant district attorney.
What does this all add up to? OTH boss Mark Schwahn crying in a corner somewhere.
Not only is the loss of Michaela a, well, loss, I’m also guessing the powers that be are none to happy that this casting news sure seems to point to a Lucas/Peyton pairing—or at the very least, a not-so-bright future for Lucas and Lindsey.
Though, of course, anything can and does happen in Tree Hill, so we’ll have to tune in this fall to see.

the trifecta has become a duo…. between brooke and peyton and now that the news is out about michaela.. i wouldnt count on LP being for sure I think Mark is stiring the pot BIG TIME THIS SEASON and anything can happen and he will fight to have the 3 of them out of the spoilers.. IT’S PEYTON!!! it better be. We have waited long enough for them to get back together. Lindsey is gone. Brooke and Lucas are to good of friends now and Brooke and Peyton are best friends. Anyway Brooke wants Peyton and Lucas to be together. Mark is just trying not to make the choice to obvious….but it is!!!

Brooke has got Owen btw! (who is coming back for season 6!)
And Lindsay is already in N.Y. so why would Lucas call her to come too the airport of Tree Hill?!

sarah and lau you are both right on the money, if it was brooke he picks then why would she have told lucas to go to peyton after she asked him who he wanted standing next to him when they won the state championship? also at the banquet when peyton brought her real brother derek, brooke and lucas resolved to be just friends both were happy with that. and brooke also said to peyton that its always been lucas and peyton and lindsey doesn’t stand a chance. she was the lindsey in their relationship and she knows it’l never be anything else except lucas and peyton - tla

Dont get me wrong i want brooke to be happy and find her ture love with chase we never find out why they broke up anyways so brooke should be happy too. lucas and peyton is ture love it makes since just put them togther and STOP WITH THE LOVE TRIANGLE MARK. its always been lucas and peyton. Season 2 was suppose to be lucas and peyton i mean when lucas went to go see anna he said he had to go see a girl from his past thats was slipping away i think that girl was peyton but lucas knew that peyton was thinking about jake so he called him for her because lucas loves her he will do anything for her no matter what. I also think peyton wanted lucas in season 2 but she didnt want to hurt brooke again so she went with jake. just come on people its lucas and peyton they belong togther their deserved to be happy again. Season 6 its leyton all the way. LEYTON IS ENDGAME! BURCAS WILL ALWAYS BE GREAT FRIENDS!!!

Don’t forget that they are starting to film season 6 very early and if she isn’t on SVU until the fall, there is still time for her to film a few episodes and not just the first episode. I wouldn’t count on Lindsay or Brooke out of it. I think this season is going to be the most dramatic yet!!

but we all know she’ll make a little guest arch in the beginning so she’ll be around at least for one episode.
But, I bet it just has to do with that last night that season 5 left of at, ya know?

i don’t see it any other way. It’s just annoying if they drag this whole thing out even more than they already have. Almost everything have been pointing towards them getting back together cause they are so clearly not over each other and if this really is the last season shouldn’t they make everyone happy and also please the fans and end the show in a good way. I mean weather it ends with brucas/leyton..they should have some episodes to just be happy together. And considering everything that’s happend this last season, it’s been so heavy. It should lighten up now right?
and..who is lucas to choose between all of the girls. They deserv so much better. If this is true, what has been sad in the spoiler:

i just didn’t see Lucas being in love with Brooke last season…I guess I wasn’t looking at it from that perspective though…I was rooting for Leyton entirely. I saw a friendship love, but thats just an opinion.
I kind of thing the first few episodes he will clarify his feelings.
and to casually date both of them? that’d be another triangular disaster in itself…and we don’t need that heavy drama again….we just had an ENTIRE 18 episodes worth of it…longest drama in that sense like, ever.

Hey guys i just wnated to say that even though im a die hard leyton fan brucas is nice too. One thing about brucas though they dont have that ture love like lucas and peyton does. lucas will always be there for brooke because thats how lucas scott is hes that guy that will help the people he loves like nathan and harley, jamie, brooke, skills anyone lucas cares about everyone he knows that doesnt mean hes going to end with them. Im just sick of all of this drama between you leyton and brucas fan whoever lucas choose it wont matter because both brooke and peyton are great people.

Brittney, I must have missed your comment. Sometimes you guys are hard to keep up with :). But no, I have not watched one episode of Greek yet. I have been watching all the seasons of OTH again since a few shows are on break right now. I just finished Season 4 though and not sure if I’ll watch Season 5 again yet. I think I’m going to wait until closer to Season 6. (or maybe not lol) Anyway, I need to put that on my to-do list for the summer.

I’m glad that Michaela got a gig on SVU because I never really felt like she (Linsdsey) fit with the “in-crowd” on OTH. Her friendship with Haley made sense but then when Brooke started to have that wierd buddy/buddy thing with her I was totally scratching my head. I didn’t feel that Lindsey meshed right in the way Millie does… her part was almost “fluff” to add more drama to the Leyton ’ship. (Which I PRAY will be resurrected during S6!!) I wish her luck and more accepting fans over at NBC (face it, us leytoners can be a tough crowd!! hahaha)

BTW…someone earlier (who I can’t remember and it might not even be on this page of comments, I get lost sometimes), said that they thought it was Peyton Lucas calls from the airport b/c Lindsey is in NY and why would he be calling her to tell her he’s at an airport that is hours away from her…I think that she might be right…I’m a huge leyton fan, but I was almost positive that Lucas called Lindsey, but now having read that comment it puts a whole new spin on things in my head…whoever posted that, THANKS…you’ve given me new hope for my leyton…isn’t it funny how we can totally get so wrapped up in how things are going to pan out knowing with the way Mark writes, I’m always being surprised!!!

OMG!!!!…Lucas totally checked out her legs at the girls new house…I was loving it!!!…it was the beginning of s4 when he confessed to her that he used to watch her legs on her webcam when they were waiting for him to go in the store for brooke’s b-day…I love how they are always linked around the brucas relationship…just like s2 after Lucas tells Brooke he wants to be with her, that night he confesses to peyton that there will always be something between them!!!
