I prefer Brucas
they were the reason I stayed for the show in season 1, they just make me watch it. their chemistry started in the beginning of oth and so I would love to see end it.
Leyton they are sweet but they miss something I think. So Brucas all the way for me

Leyton allllllllllllllll the way. Lucas and Brooke’s relationship didn’t work out because Lucas was never in love with her, he never even knew her. It was purely physical. Lucas and Peyton is a totally different story. They’re is a connection that is far beyond the physical aspects of a relationship. And besides, Mark Schwahn said to everyone that Leyton was a pre-planned couple, so if the writer says it’s ment to be, so do I.

LEYTON!!! seriously, from the very start their was chemistry between Lucas and Peyton, he only dated Brooke in season 1 because Peyton got scared. then they got together and when he dated brooke for the second time, she dumped him becasue she knew he loved Peyton. even after three years, he lets go of Lindsey because of the connection he has with Peyton. its obvious, even Brooke has come to terms with it and wants them to be together

Brucas!!! Their chemistry is just so much more then Leyton! Lucas did show how much her cared for Brooke. He said two embrassing speeches for her and has showed he does care for her. Look how he is acting toward Peyton this last season. But if it doesn’t work out for Brucas this season then I would rather it be Leyton then anyone else.

LEYTON = TLA
Don’t get me wrong i love brooke but not with Lucas. He loved her but he was never in love with her. He was with Brooke because he was hiding his feelings for Peyton and the same thing with Lindsey. He is just scared of hurting and not being loved back by her. He had *NO* interest at all in Brooke at the start of the show. I think Mark only put them together the second time because Chad and Sophia were together in real life. Lucas and Peyon are always there for each other, they connect in so many ways, they get each other in a way that nobody else could ever, he is always saving her, he wrote two books about her, he has loved her since before they even met, her art matters, his art matters, he left brooke to meet peyton after they just started dating again (after only being together for a couple of hours), they have amazing chemistry, The little glaces they always give each other and the fact that they have connected with other people and loved others but they always come back to each other because it is meant to be. There are a million more reasons why it’s LEYTON all the way but it would take way to long. If you have ever really watched the show you would know it’s all about LEYTON. They are each others dream and SOMEDAY is september 1st 2008. LEYTON ARE ENDGAME!!!!

I am Leyton allt they way only because they are so cute together! I think that if brooke and lucas get married it’d be a big joke! Peyton loves lucas and he loves her back even though he doesn’t admit it! Leyton is awesome they get along so well I wouldn’t understand if it was brucas only because they have had their problems out of the show and it just wouldn’t be the same! I really hope it’s leyton or I’m not watching the show again! J/K I’ll watch it but really hate it if it’s not leyton! Can’t wait till Sept. 1!!!!

Whoa! I cant believe all the LP bashers on that site. It’s like unreal. lol. I’ve never see that many. But I actually feel bad for the ones that watched this show for 5 seasons and never really understood whats this show(and characters) is all about.
Leyton should give up on TRUE LOVE? Now why would they do a stupid thing like that? But to each its own, i guess..

It is all about Leyton! That is the romance that started the show! I love Brooke and I think her and Lucas have a much healthier relationship as friends. Lucas & Peyton however have that true love always kind of love, that love that you would run into a building to save her life, write 2 books about how much you love her, oh wait lucas did that…………just saying…… I hope this season they are finally together and happy because it has been what the die hard, from the first episode fans are all still waiting for! Help me understand, how can anyone think Brooke and Lucas are meant to be? They had a fling once because Peyton didn’t admit her feelings until it was too late, and another time when Lucas THOUGHT he loved Brooke, but realized he loved Peyton after she admitted it during the shooting. How is that “the real thing.” The reason Brooke left Lucas is because he didn’t even understand who she was.
s5: “It was hard losing you Peyton, it was hard seeing you again, it’s still….really hard.”
did he even say anything like that to Brooke.
I’m not bashing, I just don’t understand.

leyton all the way. the chemistry between them is undescribable and they have saved each other numerous times. they not only have a love so strong they also have one of the strongest friendships that you will ever see. the complete each other, they aren’t whole without the other, look at lucas this season he was a complete ass most the time and i believe its because he was scared to open his heart again to peyton. in the end though you can tell it’s always going to be there lucas and peyton. leyton=tla

Leyton…I like Brucas but come on Sophia and Chad were married off the show and that would hurt to much. I am a sophia fan but I am all for Leyton so Sophia doesnt have to kiss Chad’s cheating butt. I know I am going to get booed but its common sence. Brooke and Lucas are done Brooke even said Lindsay is the Brooke between them. So Brooke knew that she never was the ONE for him.

lets see. Leyton much anyone?
I’d say that the story lines between the two are so similar and they intertwine so perfectly. Art and music, and passion. They have perfect similarities yet their differences balance them out.
Lucas has always loved Peyton, and I truly believe that if it wouldn’t have been for the Chad and Sophia real life romance, Brucas wouldn’t have been together as long on the show. Obviously if the two could be dating on the show and are married in real life it could make sense, and yes I thought Chad and Sophia were a beautiful couple.
For me, it’s all about the characters though, not about the real life romance.
The characters of Peyton and Lucas are meant to be together, true love always. It’s been written in stone, on closet doors and books. How can OTH all of a sudden say all of these things and then strip that all away? To build up to something that beautiful and not follow through is an absolute shame.
Lucas and Peyton complete each other, when Peyton went back to tree hill, Lucas was able to write another book. (About her, of course) And Peyton was finally able to start the record label she wanted, with the help of none other than Lucas (and of course Brooke and others, but Lucas lent her the space free of charge..wanting her to succeed).
People say things like “Oh Peyton and Jake, she wanted to marry him…blah blah.”
Peyton was hiding from her feelings and throwing herself into something because of the way she truly felt–she loved Lucas. But it was drama before and she didn’t want to get hurt.
Spin it whichever way you want…BUT–
Lucas just mirrored that action by throwing himself into the relationship with lindsey, the marriage proposal and everything. Keep in mind Lucas loved Lindsey and Peyton loved Jake, but they weren’t truly in love with them, because their hearts belonged to someone else.
So, after all of my necessary rambling because i’ve hardly been on the past two days,

chad said that brucas was simple a way for lucas to have some FUN that’s all it was, leyton is for REAL it’s sooooo deep and powerful. The chemistry is undeniable! i luv them!

Definitely Brucas. Peyton has way better chemistry with Jake. Peyton and Lucas together are too much brooding and not enough laughing. If they had a kid together, can you imagine how emotional that child would be? The funny episodes are definitely my favorite (Boy Toy Auction, Dare Night, etc). Season 2 is by far my favorite season, and I think it’s because of the Brucas chemistry.
And Dawson and Joey were a pre-planned couple, and look how that ended up….

lol thank you. I do like Chad and Sophia in real life as a couple, or when they were a couple. They would have been awesome if they stayed together. And if Sophia played Peytons character, for example, i’d still be a Peyton and Lucas fan. It’s all about the characters for me, not the real life romance or any of that. (I love Hilarie Burton by the way…i’m just sayin’)
I just feel like the focus should be on the “characters” not the “actors” necessarily.
Though it plays into it a bit.
When Peyton and Lucas are together I feel like they are both just, normal. When apart, I feel like they are a ticking time bomb, ready to go off at any moment as we have seen in season 5. I feel like for the most part it’s so hard for them to be apart after everything.
It seems like Brooke handles that just fine as a character though, and even during the Lindsey Lucas wedding and around that time Brooke kept saying Peyton and Lucas, and he still loves you/you still love her (Peyton) don’t you. All of that.
I dunno…i don’t want to debate it. I truly love all the OTH characters, I guess it was just the relationship between the characters of Peyton and Lucas that really got me hooked.

Woo-hoo go Leyton!
I do have to admit I understand the Brucas viewpoint but I think the characters have evolved so much that it really would be weird for them to be a couple. I think their friendship is amazing and I was glad to see that brought out in season 5. I think in the past the focus with Brucas was always the physical and it didn’t really seem like they were ever really friends. The I love yous in the season finale were…I love you…as a friend. I think if Lucas was to choose Brooke it would be because he didn’t want to get hurt by Lindsey or Peyton and I don’t think that would be fair to Brooke and it would cheapen what they have and what they’ve had in the past. They’re becoming best friends and I think in a way it brings their relationship full circle and there’s a beauty in that. Brooke and Lucas have both moved on and found love with other people.
Now for Leyton. In a way Leyton never had closure so all we’ve seen this season is angst. The show has never given Peyton another guy or even hinted that she’s had a relationship in the past 3 years that had any meaning. Lucas had Lindsey but even when she was around he was focused on Peyton. Look at the club episode. And when Lindsey colored her hair she looked a little like Peyton. I also maintain that Lucas would never have proposed to Lindsey if she hadn’t found the ring. Haley and Brooke have both come out and said that Lucas loves Peyton this season. Haley even tried to stop the wedding after reading his book. And his lines to Peyton in the finale were heartbreaking and sweet. He remembered the first time he saw her and it still hurts to see her?!?!
I said all this to say I think we’re headed for a LEYTON reunion and I can’t wait!!!!

Why? I actually think that they show us what TRUE love is. It isn’t a fairytale and they had their problems, but I am sure that they will find their way back. Why I don’t think that Leyton is true love? They are too good friends, so when I see them together it grose me out. Hey everyone! First of all let me say that English is not my first language so, believe me, I know I make a lot of mistakes but I hope you guys don’t mind :D…
So here it goes… I used to think OTH was “something to believe in” (P. Sawyer). Am I wrong? I mean OTH was the only show that actually taught me something about life. it may have dissapointed me a few times but in the end I always got to learn something out of it. Like those beautiful quotes at the end of the show, or my fav ones the leyton quotes( Your art matters, I was now and would always be in love with Peyton Sawyer.”) I know that for many of you these quotes have nothing special but lets think. Did someone tell you that your art matters with so much intensity like Peyton told Lucas? Or did someone wrote a whole book about you and about how much he/she loves you? Or did someone paint a whole basketball court with the lyrics of the song that mean so much to her/him as a dedication to you? See, that’s why I love Leyton. They unconditionally love each other. After 4 years of distance they still love each other (even though he is too drunk to say the right words). He was being engaged to Lindsay and still wrote a 2nd book about Peyton. To me Leyton was that thing to believe in. They have this undying, deep, almost impossible to resist connection. Their relationship is like a drug. A pleasurable one. It changes them and that’s the point of it. They fought against time , against distance, against man faced Lindsay, against their own feelings and sometimes yes they failed but they always found their way back to each other. Their relationship isn’t always pink and perfect. All the unspoken words, all the undiscovered feelings built a vulnerable, fragile relationship. Love has its geometry. It isn’t perfectly round. But maybe this is the way it’s meant to be. This is the only way to deepen their feelings and admit them. This is the way Leyton can be TLA.
P.S. I agree Leyton=TLA ( but i do understand all the Brucas fans that express their opinion without being rude because I think Brucas is cute)

Brooke has always been important to Lucas and always will be. But i think that now they are just friends.
I’m a Leyton fan and i’m sure they are end game. The show started with them and i assume it’ll end with them. Their love and chemistry has been obvious from the pilot. Even Nathan in s4 said “It was about time” referring to LP kissing after the state championship victory. Besides Lucas saved her many times and chose to be there as Skills said and he wrote 2 books about his love for her. She inspires him and he inspires her. He wasn’t able to write his 2nd novel until she came back to TH and she started to draw again thanks to him. In season 3 someone said about Haley that without Nathan she wasn’t able to compose anymore. We all know that Naley are always and forever so I guess it means that it’s the same for LP. Anyway… i really like them because their share this unconditional, incredible and undeniable love & chemistry. They don’t need to talk, their love is noticeable in the way they look at each other. Moreover their gestures are so cute: when he kisses her on the forehead, when they kisses and spin in the hallway (s4), when he ate the cookie on her shoulder, when the lights went out at Peyton’s and she was scared he offered his hand to her and so on. I could go on forever but i’ll sum up my points by saying: Lucas & Peyton=TLA

Ok maybe lucas and brooke where in love, but around that the unconditional bond was growing between lucas and peyton. Brooke wasn’t in love with lucas untill he forgave her for sleeping with chris keller (which peyton would never do) because she never trusted him after all the peyton drama. Brooke ALWAYS made a point about being jealous of lucas and peyton, and was never truely over it because she knew (as she had said herself) that he loved both of them. But peyton and lucas had so much history and had been through so much together they had just had to be together. I’m absolutely obsessed with LP and their relationship because it’s so beautifull, and i’ll speak for all us leytoners when i say how unbelievably tragic it was when they broke up.
It just has to be leyton people, they are undeniably amazing!

it will definitely be leyton in the end. Brucas had their closure 4th season after whitey’s speech about camilla being his first love. They clearly knew at that point that they weren’t meant to be like that, even though, i’ll admit, sometimes I liked them together even though I love Peyton. Peyton and Lucas were meant for each other since episode 1! ILOVELEYTON!

I think it should be Leyton all the way too!! I was watching the rerun of the eppy where they kissed this past season and it’s sooo obvious that he still loves Peyton. I understand she hurt him by saying no, but Lucas it’s time to open you’re eyes and see that Lindsay was never in love with you. She was in love with your idea and your book. Not you!! Peyton sees nothing but you and has been there for everything, you’ve hurt her for long enough this season… give us a nice makeout session this season!!!!

You know what calms me down? Thinking that if Lucas ends up with Brooke or Lindsay(OMG NOO! I don’t want him with bridezilla Lindsay. I’d rather se him with Brooke) he’ll never forget Peyton. Nobody can take their story away. And I have faith in them, that someday they’ll be those Lucas and Peyton again. But if they remain history, then i have to say Lucas will never forget Peyton. Love is that feeling of forever in your heart and I know that Peyton will be forever in Lucas’ heart. I mean lucas’ first book was about Peyton. Lucas’s 2nd book was about peyton. And who knows, maybe Lucas’ 3rd book will be about Peyton. The point is that no one would like to live in Peyton’s shadow. And I think that having a husband that wrote 2 books about her, proposed to her, felt rejected and proposed to another girl thinking he would forget her, day dreaming about her(in her underwear), calling you, her best friend and proposing to you ( obviously to forget her), or calling you, his ex-fiancée ( when you actually know you became his fiancée by accident when you found her ring) and proposing to you ( OMG I’d rather see him with Brooke than with Lindsay) it is a huuuuge mistake. And you become a rebound ( the worst part is that you know it). Besides, are you going to be OK with the fact that every time he goes at the RC he will see her drawing and he will remember that she will always love him?
OMG if I were Brooke or Lindsay I would divorce/reject proposal immediately. Because I know that I don’t stand a chance in front of her. Because I’d feel miserable my whole life for making the man I love (if Brooke/Lindsay loves Lucas) miserable. And because if I love him, I’d let him go. If he comes back, it means he loves me, if he doesn’t it means he was never my husband… but that’s just my opinion.
But I DO agree with the brucas fans saying lucas loved brooke. They were a cute couple (and so were Leyton(OMG hurts so much talking about them like they are history)) .He did love her. It’s just that he didn’t see into her soul if they were meant to be. He did see into Peyton’s soul and felt in his heart that they were meant to be. Who knows if he was wrong? Who knows if he wasn’t the guy for Brooke Davis? Cause I don’t know. He’ll have to prove it.

I think this coming season will be a great one and will blow us all out of the water. I think Lucas knows who his heart needs although he may think Lindsay is still who he wants. I dont know if Lucas ever really did love Lindsay… that ring and heart always belonged to Peyton and always will. Brooke and Lucas were cute also, but it’s the story of Leyton. Fans have been watching seeing how they grow apart and back together again and I think that it’s about time they all keep their friends close to their hearts, but for the lovers find out who they truly love and how they are willing to fight for the ones that truly has their heart.

You can’t rationalize what Peyton did to Brooke as being different than Brooke sleeping with Nathan. It hurts all the same. What Peyton did might have even been worse because Brooke was in love with Lucas, Peyton admits that she never actually loved Nathan.
The character of Peyton is kinda needy, I’m pretty sure she cried every episode in Season 3. Who wants that kind of drama?

Hi Charlene, I’ll always be a Brucas fan. I don’t care what anyone says or does about it.
In regards to the cheating — I don’t condone it but I know that Brooke wasn’t in love with Nathan and Peyton and him were broken up at the moment(even if it was for 5 minutes).
It’s annoying when Leyton fans bring up the Nathan sex…because that story was added in the 4th season(I see it as a an afterthought, it was never mentioned until then because it was a little something the writer threw in to try to make what Peyton did to Brooke seem less bad but it’s wasn’t…)
Another thing is that when Brooke started dating Lucas he was SINGLE and when Peyton decided that she wanted Lucas he was not SINGLE. Prior to getting involved with Brooke, he wanted to be with Peyton and she turned him down. He was entitled to move on even if it was for the wrong reasons, down the road he opened his eyes and heart to Brooke and they fell in love.

Lucas and Peyton together don’t NEED sex to have the best chemistry and passion. Just the way they can look into each others eyes and “feel the love” shows that they’re more in love. LB’s relationship consisted of a lot of betrayal on both parts, because either one never really got over their first love, or because they didn’t feel worthy with the one they loved.
and for the record whoever said Peyton was more need than Brooke, is wrong. Brooke needed Lucas to fight for her. Peyton just needed Lucas.

also the Nathan sex thing was planned…it wasnt just thrown in there- Mark has talked about it in interviews, the storyline was planned! so it was wrong of Brooke to treat Peyton like a whore when she had done worse.

and when Peyton decided to stop hiding and tell Lucas the truth about how she felt she went to his room and told him…she had no idea Brooke was there!
and even Lucas said he was just hiding with Brooke…down the road he did open his eyes…to Peyton! and yes it was wrong to sneak around but they justified it because they were in love! and the only reason it didnt work was because PEyton didnt want to hurt Brooke further!…then after the whole Nikki thing then Jake, and Peyton had pushed Lucas away TWICE then he ‘realised’ his feelings for Brooke…
and while i dont doubt he loved Brooke.
It was never anything compared to his love for Peyton.
and he did have the chance to be with Brooke again!
at the State Championship when Brooke asked him who he wanted next to him he could have said her…but he didn’t!- he CHOSE Peyton.
and in 408 when the Brucas thing had closure after whitey’s speech…it was Whitey’s speech about Camilla that made them realise they were never meant to be… Then in 505 it was Whitey talking about his love for Camilla again and her agreeing to join ‘a scrawny kid just embarking on a 35 year coaching career’ as the best moment in his life, that made up Lucas’ mind to go see Peyton in LA and propose to her,- to start the rest of their life together.
Where was Brooke in his mind then?

Someone said that Lucas and Peyton don’t need to have sex to have chemistry and passion, well sex is undoubtedly a part of relationships.
I think Peyton and Lucas were the better couple when the show first began. But 6 or 7 years have passed now, they are not the same people.
Wouldn’t it be funny if both girls said “no thanks” to Lucas? I kind of like the beginning of season 2 when neither of them depended on Lucas.

When Brucas was a couple it seemed like Lucas spent a lot of time with Peyton. Fair or not he liked being the person she depended on “you should be able to turn to me for help. I love being that guy for you.” This was said a few hours after he got back together with Brooke. When he was with Leyton he was pretty focused on her excpet for finding out who really shot Keith.

and by the way I was being honest way back when when I said that i’d still be all for Lucas and Peyton even if Sophia played her. I love Sophia and Hilarie both as actresses, and of course now after 5 seasons it’d be hard to imagine them playing the other role, but my favorite in general is the character of Peyton. Call her whiny or whatever, I think she has had a lot of pretty crappy things happen to her…and who cares if she isn’t afraid to get emotional about it. I love her character, and thats that. lol.

I was watching the commentary on one of the dvds, and they were joking around about how there was one season where Hilarie Burton had to cry like everyday.
My favorite Peyton moment is in Season 1 before they go to Haley’s party and Lucas gives her a cd. And she goes “Well, I got you a high five. Do you want it now or later?”
It’s not that I don’t like Peyton, I just think Brooke has grown so much during the course of the show. I actually didn’t like her in Season 1, but she got so much stronger and independent in Season 2.
Brucasfan, I totally agree. When they’re sitting the empty reception hall at the end, it’s totally moving. I also love when he promises her that he can guarantee someone will say something that nice about her when she gets married after she reads his best man speech. Sigh, I love them.

They are what I call true love.
They are the kind of love that is SOO strong that no person
can come between it. You can lie to yourself all you want but you can’t lie to your heart… no matter what you say or do at the end of the day you are who you are and when you go to sleep the person you think about is the one for you. True love doesn,t die it’s for ever. But true love sometimes doesn,t work because of the choice in our lives that we make. If I look at Brucas I see an amazing friendship built because that is what they have choosen. After Brooke have made the choice to slep with Chris Keller and Lucas the choice of lying to himself and hide with Brooke and lie to her twice about kissing Peyton and being in love with Peyton… they have both made those choices in there lifes and in the end it just shown us that they weren’t meant to be and they both knew it the moment they heard Withey speech about true love in 4×08. If I look at Leyton I see Love but I see pain too I mean True love is hard to find and you can only find it once. and you have to be sure that it is This ONe person you are truly in love with you might be in love with someone but that doesn,t mean that this person love you back as much as you do. I think that Lucas and Peyton have both been afraid of the immencity of there loves and have been hidding with others just because they were afraid of it. Peyton have made the choices to say someday but they have never been a moment where she didn,t believe in the immencity of there love she knew they could in her heart that lucas was the one for her. SHe have made the choice to come back to him after he had made the decision to left her without saying goodbye because let’s face it LUcas could have never been able to say goodbye like a “broke up“ goodbye because even though he was sad she was saying NO (someday) he couldn,t broke up with her he was still in love with her. He just thought it was better walking away it was more easier and we all know lucas always take the easy road but in s5 he had realize that taking the easy way is not what will make him happy in life and lying and hidding and making the easy choice aren’t the right choices… he have to follow is heart because nothing is more important in life than following it .. it’s pure. Lucas have finaly understood it and he had choose Peyton to go to Vegas he knows in his heart that she is the one and he knows he have made the right choice because once in his life he didn’t follow is head or try to make everyone else happy. for once he did something for him for his futur for his own happinest.
Leyton for me is true love and no matter what happen in the end I will always be in love with Leyton !
