Season 6 Episode 1 Touch Me I’m Going to Scream Part 1 Review

OH MY WORD, I’ve said it like a hundred times already but THAT WAS THE BEST EPISODE OF ONE TREE HILL EVER IN THE HISTORY OF ONE TREE HILL. Well, at least for Leyton fans. And really…I’ve even had some Brucas fans admit that they were pretty cute together.

As I find myself so many times writing these things, I don’t even know where to start!!

I think I just have to start rambling.

The anniversary scenes…I loved them. The Brucas fan in me loved the wife and husband comments. Wow, we even got a Brucas kiss..how long has it been?
Lindsey and Lucas’ scene..eh. Very casual there. And I love the comment..they were easy together. Yes, they were easy together. They got along fine and until Peyton came between they probably could see themselves together because they were happy. But it wasn’t the same as…
Lucas and Peyton on their anniversary. It seemed so right. I almost could feel the cookie dough fight all over again in that place with them together joking and laughing with one another. I loved how he couldn’t handle the thought of Peyton in sexy underwear.
I liked Gus. I loved his wise words to Lucas. I’ve really missed that figure in Lucas’ life and while Gus probably isn’t someone that will be there, it was nice in a moment of such heavy decisions, he was there for him.
The airport scene. Well, the look in Lucas’ face when he saw her was just priceless. Pure joy. Everything melted away in that moment. Gone was the drunken, depressed, heartbroken Lucas. It may have been a sudden change, but it was a beautiful moment of awakening for him. But once again, what is with Peyton laughing when they kiss? She does that so much. I was kinda hoping for a sexier moment there but I’m not going to complain too much. Her joy was overflowing and that’s fine with me.
Them in the Vegas room…her mirror comment was HILARIOUS. I loved that. Now only if we got to see it in action…did I really just saw that out loud?? You know you were thinking it too!! I mean really, we should have at least seen a shirt come off there! LOL
The text messages were adorable although I didn’t really understand the significance of bringing Psycho Derek up so much! What is with that?
The chapel scene was too funny. You’ll never hear me say it again but I’m glad they didn’t get married. Wow, that was some cheesy mess.
But oh my, going back to the original hotel room and then them repeating the lines from 5×18! That was wonderful! I was spoiled on the fact he didn’t really get to propose so I expected it but I still didn’t like it much that he didn’t do a full-on proposal. I would have liked some romantic lines there. But they got engaged! Woot! Woot!
The amount of Leyton goodness was just off the charts this episode. Unbelievable. It’s like Season 5 never really happened and we were seeing where they SHOULD have been right after Season 4. It was a beautiful thing to watch.

OK, on to the rest of the episode!

Jamie and Quentin were so funny and cute in this episode. I loved how they brought something the fans enjoyed in real life at the game and put it in an episode. Thank you, Mark! Haley learning the dance was so cute! In fact, even though Naley didn’t get too many scenes, we did get a little kiss from them and they really seem so happy. And really, isn’t that the point they are at right now? They got through Carrie and are on the mend.

Deb and Skills. I honestly can’t tell if they’re growing on me or not. There’s definitely a comedic quality to them but I’m not to the point where I’m seeing anything but cougar quality. Not feelin’ the love on that one yet. Nathan is hilarious though. I loved his “scarred for life” comment.

Mouth and Millicent. I was about to have heart failure when Millicent said she wouldn’t go with Mouth. I was like, hey, wait a minute! You’re supposed to be with Mouth! Brooke and Mouth were sweet together. I loved her question about who topped me although it was a bit sad. First she loses her mother and then Mouth :( But more on Brooke in a minute. I was shocked Brooke fired Millicent and then Millicent was like OK! A little weird but I’m glad Millicent is going with Mouth.

Poor Brooke. I can’t believe the way Victoria is acting. I’m proud of Brooke wanting to stand up for her line. And the way she stood up to Sam. That was awesome. She is not taking the crap now. But how is she supposed to fight a robber like that? I was blown away at that scene. I couldn’t believe how he was beating her down. Poor thing. No wonder she goes to a dark place this season!

And finally can we talk about Psycho Nanny Carrie. Did Mark watch a little Stephen King before writing this? Wow. Pretty intense stuff there. Definitely earned the show the title of soap opera drama. Is it possible I actually feel bad for Dan? I did. I do. Nanny Carrie has seriously lost her mind. And you know…I was surprised she was after Jamie and not Nathan. That threw me for a little loop there.

So let me stop rambling. That was hands down my favorite episode ever. It moved nicely, the writing was so awesome and it had so much Leyton I could hardly stand myself.

Okay, I agree with the pyscho derek part, but after watching that part again just now, it has to do with Carrie, Carrie being the new Pyscho Derek.

I am not liking this dark brooke…but she will get through it

I really believe leyton…will work out in the end…he can’t still be in love with lindsey…he looks like normal luke now…and he is with the girl he shouldve been with a long time ago…now he is with his peyton who he’s wanted all along and doesn’t have to stay with someone to protect their feelings or hide behind them…did u hear all the things he was saying 2 her…they are so in love…and when haley and brooke realized they were 2gether…they were so happy.

I’m so bad brooke is going 2 this dark place…and the spoiler about her questioning her friendship with peyton…i think because she is in shock and doesn’t know what to think…and brooke will be ok though I know it…this is going to be the best season…i know it will

nanny carrie has really lost her mind and I really hope dan pulls through and kills her…i do believe this may bring nathan and haley close to dan in some sort of way…because of jamie.

but go go go go leyton…i believe they will be end game…and because lucas hasn’t ever been with the same girl all season…dont u think maybe its time and he will be and it will be peyton

i loved the episode more then worth the wait and this single episode was better then all of season 5 put together as for the leyton thing about damn time i already knew what was goin happen to a point but seeing it was so much better leyton is true love and always will be and as for the psycho derrek part i think that was peyton texting brooke like reassuring brooke that shes ok and the whole psycho derrek thing was a joke.all the leyton scenes were done so well and it felt so real that u almost think ur watching a real couple and not a made up one and if mark keeps up this kinda of leyton perfection itll make alot of peeps truly happy. as for the whole brooke scenrio i felt kinda sad for her that she was left all alone i mean leyton is together mille and mouth are leaving she does have haley but shes busy with her music and family so its kinda just brooke also for some reason i have a feeling just by the mouth and brooke scenes that mille might not be the one for mouth maybe thats just me also the whole brooke vs worst mom in the history of the world sceniro is great idea not sure were the whole attack came into play cause we didnt really see him rob her or anything he attacked her like he was there to do that so maybe victoria was behind it? eh i wouldnt put it past her after all the stuff shes done and said its clear she doesnt really care for brooke at all and as for that story line id like to see a court scene were the whole cast supports brooke and helps her beat bitchtoria and as for the naley scenes they were nice but it could have been better. skills and deb still gross and always will be. and on to dan and crazy carrie one of the best ideas in the show ever cant wait to see how that unfolds while i hate the idea of men hitting women or hurting them i actually want dan to put a hurtin on that bonified psychopath lady. lastly if the writers keep this kinda of greatness up this season will be the best in the series and one of the best season ever in a tv show

first of all i LOVED the whole dream sequence/card thing! the writing/concept of it all was so good! and ohhhh my god LEYTON was AMAZING!! their scenes were so much cuter than i ever could have hoped for! i hated all the nanny carrie stuff…. i think it’s so dumb and cheezy i’m just so ready for that to be over, i think it ruins the show. i felt so bad for Brooke at the end, i knew it was coming and it was still so sad! but ahhhh i can’t stop thinking about Leyton!! Jamie and Q were cute and it’s so sad that Jamie’s going to have to go through Q’s death. but anyway…. i can’t complain because i got everything that i wanted… and that’s LEYTON!!!!

loved the episode! the begining was amazing with the queen of hearts who’s lucas’s girl thing and the anniversery scenes just awesome! mark is just too good! and naley are too cute! it used to be all makeout scenes with them in the past but now it’s the little kisses that just show how much they love each other. ok now the whole brooke getting beat thing NOT lovin it! i mean good story line, but brooke with a black eye is not something i ever want to see! and i agree with you amy, i was thinkin misery the WHOLE time! i half expected her to take out the blow torch half way through! i had to keep reminding myself that the the show is rated 14A! and ok nanny carrie does not a good annie make! anyways i’m just glad the show is back! it’s been too long!

i really think this was the best episode in the history of OTH. I managed (somehow) to stay spoiler free and that made it soo much better!!! can’t wait till next week…

sorry guys but I don’t know how anyone could watch this episode and say this has been the best episode yet. Not only did this premiere seem like a bad soap opera, it was completely unrealistic. Dan walking backwards into street (yeah right), no one being able to identify the former mayor (yeah right), nanny carrie being able to carry him out of the hospital (even with chaos, that just doesn’t happen)…and as for the accident itself, as hard as dan was hit, there was no way in hell he would have survived that…come on people, how many damn times are we going to have psychos…derek came and the first time i said ok..this could be plausible…then he came again (that was already pushing it) then we have nanny carrie (already over the top from the word go) and now she’s back…her @ss would have been in jail quick, especially for kidnapping jamie…obviously ideas are being recycled…the show is already a few steps from jumping the shark, that is if it already hasn’t

I with you Amy…BEST EPISODE!!! Definitely worth the wait it was AWESOME!!! But I felt really bad for Brooke…and even worse since her two best friends are across the country at the moment so she doesn’t really have anyone to talk to/help her. After Millicent left I just really felt lonely for Brooke like she was all alone…break your heart stuff there. The “goodbye Scarecrow I’m going to miss you most of all” had me tearing up…I’ve always loved Mouth and Brooke’s friendship…their exchanges are always hilarious. But I started thinking how when Brooke asks Peyton for her house key in Episode 3 or 4 maybe it’s not her being mad at Peyton maybe it’s her not wanting to come between Lucas and Peyton. Like they come home from Vegas and Peyton’s all set to move in with Lucas but sees what Brooke is going through so decides to stay with Brooke but Brooke kicks her out so she’ll move in with Lucas…just like B firing Millicent. It’s all about tough love!! Oh and I NEVER thought I’d EVER feel bad for Dan but I do. I was seriously having ‘Misery’ flashbacks during his scenes and that nanny is seriously tweaked OMG!!! It’s a sad day when 2 characters are worse than Dan but Carrie and Victoria are beating him by a mile this season. Victoria is seriously campaigning for parent of the year!!

carrie took dan’s wallet that’s why they couldn’t identify him, beside she said that dan had so much blood all over him that why she said “john doe cover with blood they did not waste time on you” or something like that. anyway i think victoria is involde in the whole brooke store thing my idea is that maybe she wanted to get back at milli for calling her and evil b.tch, but maybe it was for brooke but i do know that she is somehow involved. i mean when you come in a store to rob it you take the clothes and tell whoever is there to shut up, you don’t just get in there and start beating the cr.p out of people, so watch out it is victob.tch

I think Mouth and Millicent are gonna get engaged this season and I think Victoria ordered a hit man to get Brooke. I don’t know but Victorias so mean you don’t know what she will do to get the company.

This was a far better episode than any in season 5. Although I’m not a huge Leyton fan, it was great to see them back together. The Naley scenes were nice, but it would be better to see more intensity (in a good way) between them. AThe Naley scene where they talk about his basketball/her music was cool. But did anyone notice the look on her face when Haley mentioned that she had a breakthrough in the studio? She looked troubled by it…like maybe it wasn’t such a good thing. Jamie & Haley dancing was priceless! And I agree with some of the other posters - the nanny Carrie & Dan plot is off the charts, too unrealistic and borderline cheesy. How is it that no one is looking for him.. a murderer who just got out on parole and no one seems to notice he’s disappeared? I know he is hated but come on. Waiting to see how this one plays out will be interesting.

the new promo great! I thought the best line last night came from brooke to mouth! “goodbye scarecrow, I think I’ll miss you most of all.” I cried like a little bitch!!! Brooke by far stole the show last night, she did so well that it made me forget that Lucas picked Peyton, those scenes did not matter to me in the slightest! Congrats Leyton fans brooke stole the show!

this was the most INTENSE premiere in oth history! i was rolling in leyton cloud 9. I agree that their one year anniversary had the most chemistry, when I saw her face at the airport I was ecstatic. I love every plot line in this premiere!

seems I must be harsh because I didn’t like this episode and am no longer excited for this season. It was oh-my-god-so-predictable and not even a bit creative. The dream sequences were crap; They didn’t even try to make the Lindsey or Brooke scenes believeable or warm.
The Dan and Carrie thing just proves that this should be the last season. If the writers can only come up with some bad soap opera like “Misery” recreation, that signals to me they lost their minds.
Jamie was cute, as usual. Mouth and Milly rode off into the sunset, yawn. Victoria probably set up the thing that happened to Brooke but was meant for Millicent, blah.
I’ll just catch up with the reruns but for now I’m so disappointed that I doubt I’ll make time for those.

Well I thought that this was an amazing episode. Leyton at the airport, it felt so right. I was crying so happy I was.

Loved the dancing scene with Jamie and Haley. Nathan talking about nice porn guy with Skills lol

Felt really bad for Brooke. Her season didn´t start that well but she´s a strong woman, she´ll be fine I know it.

It was sad watching Q knowing that soon he´s gone. And how Jamies is gonna be sad

But overall, great start for a great season I´m sure. Loved it <3

I absolutely LOVED this episode. I am a huge Leyton fan from Season 1 on and I could not be happier. I was screaming and crying all at the same time. I watched it twice (once in the local time zone and once in the western time zone we get on DISH). I totally agree that this episode had me smiling like the cookie dough episode in season 4. My favorite quotes were “Can a text message change your life.” and “I think your @ss is going to look great in that mirror. Let’s find out.”

I cannot wait for the rest of the season.

Ok, so Nanny Carrie? OMG! What a psycho! She is definitley the new Psycho Derek, although not as freaky..yet! And I can’t belive I am saying this, but I felt sorry for Dan! Who knew they could make us do that with this show after everything he has done??? This season is going to be so good!

Nanny Carrie + Dan-thing, ew. Don’t even wanna see… Jamie with all the dancing was fun and I can see there’s gonna be something about his back later. Can’t wait for the next episode with all the Leytonness and of course Brooke, feel really bad for her. This season is gonna be so great! Can’t wait!

Totally agree that this was the best episode ever! Perfect writing with the opening sequence and absolutely LOVED EVERYONE’S scenes in this (especially Naley)! Lots of good comedic scences!! Sure the Nanny Carrie stuff is crazy, but it likely will help build a bit of redemption for Dan at some point (and will hopefully end in a couple of episodes). If the writing keeps going like this, they are going to HAVE to give us a Season 7!

Tiffany, it seems you are the only other person here who is not allowing their emotion to cloud their judgment. I agree with you, pretty much on everything. I was disappointed too, it’s like the writers are forcing way too much. It is the worst season premiere of all the seasons. Nanny Carrie being back is completely ridiculous and unplausible. The show has gotten too predictable. Writing creativity started to decline during season 4. Derek coming back…was nonsense, the girl with diabetes coming back into the school and observing Dan kill his brother…more bullsh*t…her writing things on his wall and being undetected…yeah right…that’s when OTH started to go downhill for me. Seasons 1 - 3…were perfect. Season 4 was ok, Season 5 started off good and started to go towards nonsense and thus far, season 6 is off to the worst start in OTH history.

no offence nancyq but i think yur bein a little tu pessimisstic (sp). i dont think that ther are certain aspects of the show that are predictable and a little unbelieveable but at the end of the day oth is tv teen DRAMA. all the hit tv shows do an i personnallly thin oth does it best.

I loved the episode, even if Lucas did choose Peyton (I was still rooting for Brooke, despite all the spoilers). And poor Brooke! I feel so bad for her. I knew from spoilers she was was going to get robbed and hurt during the robbery, but I had no idea the dude was going to go all smackdown on her. No wonder she’s in a dark place. Anyone would be. But I was proud of her for taking a stand with her store and her line.
However, I’m a little sketchy on the Nanny Carrie/Dan stuff. I know it’s tv, but I just don’t see how she pulled it all off without anyone noticing. It makes the realistic side in me say, “Wait a minute…” But I actually find myself feeling sorry for Dan. I know, I never thought that would happen, but there you go.
I loved all the Naley stuff we got, even if it was a little sparse. Jamie was too adorable for words! And I loved seeing Nathan playing ball again, though the hinted-at back pain is worrying me. I want him to make a full recovery pronto.
And I’m not even going to comment on Skeb…ew!

I’m just wondering if it all might be a dream…the whole Lucas/Peyton thing. It showed all summer a scene where Lindsey is answering the phone too and we never got to see who called her..?? But I do feel like if Mark did put Peyton and Lucas back together then it’s like he said the whole “love triangle” is over so…they have to come up with new exciting storylines, beef things up to keep people watching. Ex: The Dan/Carrie situation, Brooke’s situations, and this new girl “Sam” and that whole storyline. I think this season started off with a bang and I can not wait til next Monday!!!

I have to agree with nannyq. I’m definitely not in love with last night’s episode. Maybe it’s because I read too many spoilers and knew at least part of what was coming but… ehhh. It was a little too over the top for me. I’m not a leyton hater but the whole wedding thing seemed a little ridiculous even though I knew it was coming. Somehow it still comes off like Peyton is way more in love with Lucas than Lucas is in love with her. And the whole Nanny Carrie/ Dan plot. what the heck…

Really really looking forward to next week though!! woot woot!

yes Lorra, i agree, it is a teen drama and until season 4, it played out flawlessly. during the first three seasons there was a natural progression of everything…none of the storylines were forced…starting in season 4, stories didn’t just unfold, some of them were just forced unnaturally and all of season 6 just seems like everything was forced…none of it felt natural…OTH is still my favorite show, but after this season, it needs to be put to rest…just because you love a show, doesn’t mean it needs to be on forever…storylines are being recycled…another psycho, another student being shot, another person hurt in a car accident, more of the same naley music/basketball drama…there is nothing new here…i love the show and it’s been my favorite for a long time…but i’m just being honest

I have watched this episode about 10 times now. I mostly skip to the Leyton moments. I just loved how cheesy they were. This is my favorite episode ever. I hate what is happening to Brooke but it will all work out. I think she will understand eventually. At first she may be hurt that they were in la la land ignoring her but it’t been four years of time they are needing to make up for. Can’t wait till next week.

Oh also If Peyton seemed more in love she was not. I watched it several times and he remember chose Peyton. He loves her. Girls are just more cheesy with things. I know I am way more cheesy than my husband. Doesn’t mean he does not love me as much as I love him.

My God what an episode!!!I’m still shaking ’cause of the nanny Carry and Dan’s strory…I hate her,and even if it’s Dan I feel so sorry for him…And what about Brooke??I almost cried when I saw the 6×02 and the ending scene of this episode…I’m a Brucas fan and normally I shouldn’t like Leyton scenes,but today I changed my mind.Of course I won’t ever stop loving Brucas,but I’m happy if Lucas and Peyton are married too…And they are so sweet…Just adorable…Jamie and Haley were so funny when they danced!!!But I still don’t like Nathan and Haley behavior…They don’t have any hot scene right now,or(which is more important)an intense love scene like they used to…Anyway I can’t wait to see the next episode…I think it’ll be even better.

OK I love One Tree Hill but this definitely was not the best episode. I’m so happy Lucas and Peyton are together but could they get through one scene without saying something cheesy and over the top. It made Peyton look seriously desperate. I’m sorry but if a guy told me they hated me than called me like 2 days later and proposed over the phone, they’d be going to Vegas alone. Not only that but HOLY COMMERCIALS!! Was the show even half an hour if you took out the commercials.

I’m sorry but were we watching the same episode? HORRIBLE!! Everyone knew it was going to be Peyton..Why? Because Lucas only wants something till he has it and then he forgets it exists. And of course that loser Peyton came..because the only thing her character can do is pine for Lucas, draw, and listen to music. I can only imagine how lame it will be now that they are back together…they were sooooo cheesy in this episode it was hard to stomach, and now I have to watch it for a whole season! Boring. Where’s the spark or passion? Nannie Carrie was awful last year, and she is even more lame this year. No offense but any premiere of OTH that sets up the show with Leyton=BORING!!! and psychos=BEEN DONE is stupid.

Leyton’s good, but why would they throw them together in the very first episode. I’m sorry, but Mark is going throw us a curve ball in this situation.You know how these shows go. What happens in the beginning hardly ever stays the same throughout the season, but maybe Mark will keep it the same who knows. Keep this in mind though:Lucas is always saving Peyton, maybe its Brooke’s turn for once.

Ok to take a different approach from outside of “One Tree Hill” land for a second…
Peyton is the only choice that makes logical sense. The actress who plays Lindsay is on Law & Order now, and I don’t see the producers doing that to Sophia Bush (remember, her and Chad used to be married. Can you say awkward???) So really, Peyton is the only choice left, and hopefully they will make it through the duration of the season. Haley and Nathan got married and are happy…why can’t Lucas and Peyton be the same way after all these years?

Im new to this site just found it about a month before Season 6 started and I love it!!…

Okay so I was SOO excited how this episode turned out! Big Leyton fan here so I was so glad!!
I watched it again Monday night and if anyone remembers.. Millie finally stood up to Victoria and then Victoria told Millie that she will regret what she said..I think the robber was hired by Victoria and was intended to beat on Millie but since Brooke fired Millie and Brooke closed up the store, Brooke got the beating - just a thought
I totally thought that the Nanny Carrie thing was straight out of Misery! Shes creapy! And I actually feel sorry for Dan!
Loved the Naley stuff and Skillz and Deb stuff

OMG..well let me start off saying GO LEYTON!!! im soo sorryy for brooke and i hope she doesn’t stay in this dark place for long! and while i was watching the tv show i notice that karen has black hair and lucas has blonde;;and deb has blonde and nathan has black. its a little wierd and probaly out of conicidence but i though that was realyy cool. i also reallyy hope that chase, whitey, bevin, and JAKE comes back in season six!! oxo Briannaaaaaaaaaaaa (:
