woooo!!

HaHa I found a couple of continuity errors for the first ep.
When Lucas makes the call in the season five finale he says he has two tickets to Las Vegas
When he says it in the premiere he says he has two tickets to Vegas
When Brooke looks at the text from Peyton it says - June 23, 2008 (Isn’t it supposed to be the school year?) LOL
BTW, I was thinking of something fun to do for the One Tree Hill Connection Podcast this fall to coincide with the sixth season. I was thinking starting to ask for fans to send in why they like One Tree HIl or how they started watching. And then I would draw a name out and whomever I choose I would read their answer and they would be deemed the One Tree Hill Connection Podcast Superfan of the Week. And I would send them an avatar they could use. What do you guys think? Would it be fun?

Yeah, that year thing is weird to me.
For example, how old is Peyton supposed to be?
I mean, what year was she born? Because in episode 4.10 when Lucas saw Peyton’s grave, the year said 1988. But if Peyton was born in 1988 and on Brooke’s phone, it is 2008, that would make Peyton 20 years old. Peyton isn’t 20, right?? Is she? It’s not just the fact that it’s supposed to be a school year…
There is something else off.

I think OTH plays loosely with timelines. Just like when Lucas was on the bus after winning the Conference title in season five. He had an iPhone and if that was supposed to be a three year flashback from seson five then iPhones wern’t out yet.
Just like any tv show, I think you are supposed to suspend beleif and enjoy the ride. Like Prison Break -
Dr. Sara was supposed to have died, had her head chopped off, but she is back for this season under he guise that it was all fabricated. LOL

True, true. =)
So, what year is it right now in OTH universe. 2008??
I think they made a mistake with that date on the phone.
September 6th, 2008 at 11:05 am
One last thing before I head off. =)
This date this is bugging me.
Peyton’s grave also says that had she died in the school shooting, it would have been 2006. If there was supposed to be a 4 year jump in season 5, it just doesn’t make any sense for it to be 2008. So, either that grave date is wrong or that phone date is wrong. Something is just…wrong. *shrugs*
Headache now, so I’m just going to let it go.

Denise,
Forgot to respond to you…
It seems like a good idea! Sound like fun. Go for it.
I started watching because I saw Anna kiss Peyton in season 2. That got me to pause, LOL. Of course, that didn’t go anywhere.

i dont think that theres a specfic year in oth they just put years up on things like the grave when they need to plus its really hard to keep up with all the time b/t seasons and all that junk

Speaking of years….supposedly the school shooting was on March 1, 2006 that’s what Peyton’s grave said and that’s what Keith and Jimmy’s graves say however in the episode right after the school shooting when Brooke throws the party in the school Lucas gets a text saying he ’s to go the the high school,,,he needs this and the date on that text is January 27, 2006 so they threw a party to get over Keith and Jimmy dying before they died…technically. They do lots of little idiosycrcies like that which is why they usually don’t date anything…they don’t celebrate holidays at all. I think they are supposed to be in 2008 but that four year gap is supposed to be like time stood still and they aged…I don’t hink we’re supposed to think to hard about it. But Peyton is 23 I think she said.

Another time problem…Karen and Hailey weren’t pregnant for the school shooting which happened in “March” but yet they both were pregnant and had full term deliveries by the time everyone graduated which was in June. WTF? Even if they graduated at the end of June I thought pregnancy was a nine-month thing not a 4 month thing.

Denise,
I am SOOOO happy someone else noticed the iPhone thing! I told my friend that same exact thing and she said “It’s just a t.v. show. You shouldn’t think so hard about it.” I know that, but it was something I noticed. I was like, “was Lucas that important that he got an iPhone before we even HEARD about the iPhone!” Hahaha
It doesn’t matter though. . .I love this show and NOTHING is going to make me stop watching it!!
September 6th, 2008 at 7:38 pm
haha Denise that’s so funny that you mentioned the iphone that Lucas had in the flashback episode! My sister noticed that and was like freaking about about it… i never would have noticed it! Too funny…
September 6th, 2008 at 7:39 pm
Debra, yes they were both pregnant then but your right it doesn’t work. But thats how TV works its all messed up. Besides, the season was ending, and this chapter in their lives was ending, they had to have the babies delivered during the season finale, even if it was only 4 months into their pregnancy. I’ve just learnt to accept it even though it still bothers me sometimes.

well as far as the school shooting, i think the timeline as far as on peytons grave was correct. it would have made her 18 at that point if it said she was born in 1988 and the year then was 2006. the problem is they skipped ahead four years but if they had been accurate on the years up til then and skipped four years ahead, they would have to say it was 2012 now in their world.
