The first episode i ever caught of oth was the finale of season 2 (obviously during the “brucas” storyline.) I then went back and started watching from the pilot. I have been a die hard brucas fan ever since. I will admit that Mark absolutely envisioned this show from the start with Lucas and Peyton. However, when Chad and Sophia’s relationship started, that really sparked the idea of exploring the brucas storyline, and the depth of brook’s character. Why not work with some of your natural chemistry on set. Mark stated in a recent interview that he does recognize that Brooke and Lucas have great chemestry together, but that they were married, and we have to remember that they are all people first. Maybe Brooke and Lucas were not planned from the start, but the story evolved, and it worked; and i think it was completely obvious that it was “re-directed” to leyton due to the divorce. Think of how random the end of season 3 was. When i saw them bring Jake back i was so excited, and then suddenly Peyton was still in love with Lucas? They didn’t have an acceptable build-up to their relationship at that point in the story line. HOWEVER, having said that, season 5 did this justice. I really think season 5 was a tribute to all of the writers on that show as well as Chad and Hilarie, in proving their talent. Their “love scenes” lack some of the chemestry that Brooke and Lucas had, but they have many scenes (think of Peyton telling Lucas that his art matters, that she should have said yes, that she is going to let go if that’s what he wants, and the final scene “it’s my dream” ) which really can make me cry every time i watch them. The story is there now, the build-up was wonderful and i really think that even long-time brucas fans need to admit that there is such an honesty in these scenes.

…but back to my point, the brucas relationship definitely ended due to the divorce, regardless of whether it was planned at all in the first place.

OHHHH even better to add lol this just popped into my head…maybe when Peyton tells Lucas she has a romantic history with Julian, Lucas flips out and goes and finds Brooke then rants to her about it. And since Lucas has totally not been there for Brooke she tells him to suck it up and get over herself and so what if Peyton was with another guy while Lucas was with Lindsey. And Lucas will be say something about how Brooke waited awhile before she dated someone after they broke up and then Brooke will explode on him with the whole she dated that teacher who turned out to be a jack a**. That would be fun…even though I love brucas

Anyways, back to what I was originally going to post before my little rant. lol

Do we know when Peyton and Julian were together? Was it like a one night stand or something back in the day or was it more recent when Lucas and Lindsey were together? Because here’s what I was thinking in my little twisted brain haha so maybe Peyton hooked up with Julian the night before Lucas’ wedding or something like that. I’m totally blanking on if she saw him the night before the wedding. Or maybe even the after Lucas said “I hate you” to her. Anyways her and Julian get together and obviously we all know what took place so the doctor’s call she getting is telling her she’s preggers and then she’s all torn between which guy it could be yay twists lol because even though it was like a 3 month break for us it’s reallllly only been like a month or two since LP got back together right? I think I could see Mark pulling something like that out of his pocket.

Then maybe Julian starts hitting on Brooke and Peyton finds out then warns Brooke to be careful. And this leads Peyton to a teary confession to her bestie and then Brooke gets all pissed and starts yelling at Julian for hitting on her.

Either that whole scenario or it’s that Peyton stole a cup or something from the man she thinks is her father to get it DNA tested lmao…but I like my first one better.
