Episode 9 Sympathy for the Devil Recap
Denise had issues with her TV and is not able to see the show *gasp* so I’m going to finish out blogging the show from about 15 minutes into it.
So far: Sam got in trouble for the party, Owen brought Brooke flowers and promised a gift every day until he was forgiven, Peyton thinks back to meeting Julian at work in LA right after seeing Lucas and Lindsey at the book signing and Lucas is struggling to write the scene with Dan killing Keith.
Mouth comes to visit to Nathan and warns him about another player wanting to hurt him at the game that night. Nathan assures him he’ll be fine. Owen is watching is back.
Brooke leaves COB and gets into her car. Owen surprises her in the back seat. He has no clothes on. He says what’s under the clothes right? She says it’s weird and hits him until he gets out. He hides himself and yells that she has his clothes. He covers himself with a newspaper when an officer shows up.
Jamie reads a book to Haley’s class right before it’s dismissed. Sam tells Jamie that was the best lecture of the year. Haley asks Sam to watch Jamie while she has to do something. She warns no parties.
Jamie and Sam go to the snack machine. They chat about what economics is. She gets snacks out and then puts her gum in the slot. A guy comes by and they sell the chips for $2. She says that’s a profit. She gives him a honeybun and says that’s a kickback.
Lucas stands in the school hallway where Keith was shot. Haley shows up. He says he’s struggling. He can’t imagine people watching it on the big screen. Haley says maybe they can learn something. He says he doesn’t want to humanize Dan Scott. He says Dan Scott doesn’t deserve a spot in Jamie’s life. He apologizes and says he has to go.
Peyton is on the cell with a band, They flashback to LA where Julian is on his cell about getting his film into Sundance. Peyton and Julian are at her house where he moved in. They kiss on her bed. He tells her he loves her. She says it back. They kiss again.
Dan is walking with Jamie and he says thanks for picking me up. He asks for $10. He says he needs to make a stop on the way to school.
Lucas goes to Peyton’s office. He says he can’t write it. He says he doesn’t know what happened right at the end and he doesn’t want to make it up just for Julian’s movie. Peyton says she loves that he protects everyone but he doesn’t have to protect Keith and no matter what happened, she’s sure Keith would want him to write his last moments. Lucas says he wishes he knew the truth.
Flashback to LA. They’re talking about going to Sundance. They’re running late because Peyton’s bag is so full. He finds the Ravens book. The argue about her reading it again. She says it’s just a book. Julian is upset he reads it and she buys it so much. He doesn’t want to share her with him. He says he’s tired of it and he’s going to Sundance alone.
Owen goes to see Brooke. She apologizes for earlier. She says keep the gift and we’ll call it even. He says no gift and he’s done bringing them. He’s tired of being led on and he won’t bother anymore.
Jamie meets with a kid on the playground. He sells him a snack for $2.
Lucas goes to see Keith’s grave and then goes to Dan’s with a shovel and starts hitting it, defacing it.
Peyton meets Julian at a restaurant. She wants to know why he’s there. He says he’s not there to get her back. He doesn’t care if he knows about them. He says his date should be there any minute. He says why did she lie to Lucas? Was it a grand scheme to get him back? Peyton walks away.
Haley walks Jamie out of school. She says he’s been taking advantage of people. He says he just wanted to buy his Dad a slamball. She makes him give all the money back.
Game time. Gerome is giving him bad looks. They start to play and Owen keeps him back. He starts knocking Owen down but Nathan manages some more baskets. Nathan looks in the crowd for a scout. Nathan says I thought you were showing off for Brooke. Owen says we’re both showing off for people that don’t care.
Lucas is at the RiverCourt and Dan shows up. Dan says the cemetery called and told him. Lucas asks what happened in the hallway. He tells him about the novel. He says he can’t do it because he can’t see it or understand it. Dan says Keith was a hero. If you want to write the truth, write it that way. Lucas asks why he did it. Dan says every good story needs a villian and he’s sorry but he’s his.
Sam apologizes to Haley about teaching Jamie “economics”. Haley says she has a great opp to be a good role model but you have to make good choices. The game continues. Owen gets knocked down and gets taken out. Nathan says he got it. Gerome threatens him.
Lucas looks at a picture of Keith in front of his laptop and starts writing.
Back to the game, Nathan and Gerome face off. Nathan makes a basket and they win the game. Nathan is celebrating and Gerome comes after him and pushes him through one of the glass barriers. Jamie and Haley run down to see him. Nathan says he’s fine. Jamie tells him not to play SlamBall anymore.
Julian looks at a picture of him and Peyton.
Owen gets in his car from the game. Brooke is in the back seat. Owen says he liked it better when he was naked. She says she’s sorry for taking advantage of him. Sam does pelvic thrusts outside the car. Owen tells Brooke he’s crazy about him. She thinks he’s a great guy and right now she has the opp to be a good role model and she has to put Sam first. Owen says maybe down the road. Brooke says for him, she might just come crawling back. She gets out.
Lucas goes to see Julian. He says he wrote it. Julian says he won’t regret it. Someone calls and Julian says the script is ready. Julian goes into another room talking. Lucas sees the picture of Peyton and Julian.
Mouth is with Gigi at the studio. He says he should leave. Gigi tells him not to go. She says she wants to be crazy with him for one night. Mouth doesn’t pull away.
Sam opens the snack machine and puts a Free Food sign it.
Nathan walks out and finds Haley and Jamie waiting on him. Jamie says he’s scared he was going to be like before. Nathan says it won’t ever be like that. He says he’s done with SlamBall.
Peyton is reading the script at home and Lucas comes him. She says the script is great and Julian was right. Lucas says it wasn’t about murder it was about heartbreak when your hero dies. Peyton says she needs to tell him something. Lucas pulls out the picture and asks if it involved that. Lucas asks if they dated in LA? Peyton says “we were in love”.

Yeah, I hope people respect Joe tonight. He is taking time out of his very busy schedule to spend time with fans. You don’t see that a lot and he is such an amazing guy.

so this was on previous episode of season 6 and i thought id share something i found. its very uplifting for BLers!:
“So the first and only Leyton scenes I liked were the fighting about the B Davis magazine episode and the whole .. game on stuff and what not and realized that LP TOTALLY RIPPED IT OF BL lmao … its almost the same as when Lucas and Brooke were doing their whole non exclusive thing and Lucas was trying to get Brooke to be exclusive he even said GAME ON BROOKE DAVIS lmao .. and the whole “your good” things too lmao so go figure the one Leyton scene I dont throw up for and its because it originated from a Brucas scene I mean come on Mark at least make LP origianl lmao oh and personally I dont care if people disagree cuz its a rip off either way you wanna look at it LP is so BORING they had to give them a BL story line”

lol no LucasDavis, i don’t agree with that at all. and i personally don’t even see how the Leyton storyline in that episode was a copy of BL at all…. just because they said “game on” and “you’re good”?? that doesn’t at all mean that it was a rip off of the BL storyline, just because they said a couple of the same phrases lol. the Leyton storyline was about adjusting to LIVING TOGETHER, if i remember correctly… BL never had a scene/storyline even similar to that

LucasDavis you are sooo right about that scene I can’t believe I didn’t even realize that till now. UGH! LP can’t stand on their own ever they imitate and tear down BL just to be likable. Gross.

Well it sucks that Lucas had to find out about Peyton and Julian from a picture in Julian’s apartment but, at least he knows now. From the looks of the preview Lucas gets a little jealous and upset and punches Julian!! YAY bring on the drama!

I really like this episode. I loved the flashback scenes explaining Julian and Peyton’s relationship. I really wanted Julian to be mean or something but so far he isn’t….I really didn’t want to like him. The preview for next week looks awesome…I’m going to have to record it because I’m going to see New Kids on the Block in St. Louis next week (I swear what was I thinking going out of town on a Monday night)

Peyton was totally gonna tell Luke, he just found the picture first. I was not surprised that Peyton and Julian were serious…guess they had to be to add the drama factor now. I am glad that Julian isn’t after Peyton and although it ended dramatically, it seems next episode they will be OK. Looks like Luke’s arm is around Peyton. Love the jealous Lucas punching Julian.

I hate to upset anyone, but I think it’s the beginning of the end for Leyton. All signs are pointing that way. First, the ruined wedding dress, now the “we were in love” comment . . . And did you pick up on the chemistry between Peyton/Julian??? Much better than Leyton. Just my observations . . .

pretty good episode loved the Naley and Jamie stuff (freaked out when Nathan went through that glass, so glad that he is ok) and the Brooke, Sam and Owen stuff was funny
I really wanted Brooke with Owen but now it looks like Julian is going to step in and be Mr Davis ughhhh!!! I don’t want Joe to ever leave Tree Hill!! Leyton was dull as usual

Leyton is SO NOT over! incase you missed the preview for next week… it looks like Leyton is perfectly fine… Lucas is just jealous! and according to the latest watch with Kristin spoiler… it sounds like Lucas and Peyton will be having a baby! i think this whole Julian thing was just one more obstacle that Mark threw into the Leyton storyline for Lucas and Peyton to overcome. in no way does it mean that they are over, because according to next week’s promo and the recent spoilers… they clearly aren’t! Lucas has no reason to be angry about Peyton and Julian dating, because at the time, Leyton wasn’t together and Peyton thought Lucas was with Lindsey. either way… Leyton will make it through this and be more secure with their love for EACHOTHER than ever!
oh and after this episode… i am now offically a BROWEN fan!

I just don’t get what all the hoopla is over Leyton, they have got to be the dullest couple on TV, it’s like watching two dish rags…such an epic love story….end game….blah blah blah, just those few flashback scenes with Julian made Peyton much more watchable. And to make matters worse, Squinty McSquinty had to go around town and bring everyone down with him tonight.

I agree Leyton isnt over, for one him and Lindsey got together and were “in love” so that happened with Julian and Peyton too. However, no matter what Lucas was always who Peyton was truely in love with. You can love many people; but that doesnt change the fact that you will only actually be truly in LOVE with one person; your forever person. Even if Peyton was with Julian she couldnt let Lucas go, she never could because she will always and forever be in love with him. Same thing with Lucas and Lindsey. Lindsey knew it.

omg LucasDavis! i totally agree with you about LP trying be like BL. Leyton TLA, i know brucas didnt make it to moving in together, but i think what lucas davis is trying to say is that LP were acting a lot like BL did when they were in love, “game on” it was the whole game they were playing about being non-exclusive, remember.
and todays episode was great! i agree with Mary and George! this sounds of like the beginning of the end for leyton. i think for the first time in this entire show since jeyton, im liking peyton, with someone, JULIAN!! and his tear when he was looking at their picture together!OMG! it was so adorable! it would be cool if lindsay comes back, i really think julian belongs with peyton and not just so lucas is available for lindsay/brooke, but because they were in love! maybe LP were in love but iv never seen chemistry like that in LP. i think LP is a copycat of BL. and peyton even said that they were in love! that totally means something! who here can say pulian didnt have chemistry?? sign of love. i think in this case julian just wants peyton to be happy and actually read the book like peyton asked him to (in the past) and now is making a movie just to make her happy! peyton has said it before about sacrifice being the greatest act of love and keith has done it before too! ahhh! the tear and everything. he sees that shes happily engaged, so he told her he DIDNT come back to win her heart. but hes obviously soo in love with her!
i honestly think that julian come to tree hill to make the movie because he knows how much that boook meant to peyton.
loving someone is different from being in love with someone. like you can love them but its different when your in love. and i think that julian missed her so much
that he decided to actually read the novel to see what peyton loved about it so much and realized that he still loves her. which is why i think he came back. but LUCAS IS AN ASS! punching him out on the next episode. i actually like julian and he isnt doing anything to ruin LP, he likes to see peyton happy and i love that! so why is lucas so jealous? ill say it again, true love is never jealous.
to add to that, browen is still NOT growing on me. i would just rather brooke end up alone. its obviously not true love. its not.

LaurenLovesOTH4ever , you said that peyton always and forever be in love with him [lucas]…im sorry but did you not just watch the last episode? peyton just said her and julian were in LOVEEE! which means she hasnt “always” been in love with lucas. just like lucas hasnt “always” been in love with peyton. he loved brooke and he loved lindsay, he never denied it. he said I DO to lindsay and he once told brooke “i love you not Peyton” so im sure he hasnt ALWAYS been in love with peyton.

Ok AlwaysBRUCAS Peyton and the book meaning she could never let him go. Lucas and writers block what not never could let her go. Peyton thought he was gone from her which is where Julian came in, you can be in love with someone after someone else. Has anyone seen the Notebook? Yea same thing. Both Peyton and Lucas have not listened to their hearts in the past. They dont want to hurt those around them. Love can be messy but hell what isnt?

Jeez, why is everyone such a downer? I swear all the Brucas fans are like killing the show for me no offense. You can have your opinions and all but please the couples shouldnt be competition and what not. Thats not how its supposed to be. I loved Brucas, I love Naley, I love Browen, I Loved Jeyton, and I love Leyton. End of story, thats just it. This show should be fun to watch, not fight over all the time.

Lucas and Peyton have always loved each other. Other people have gotten in the way they just had to get through but they always found their way back to eachother. All the couples have been great. But no matter what the heart wants, its what it gets. Their hearts just always happened to have a connection, a strong love for each other.

Exactly…..coma overdrive…LOL. Well actually Leyton does help me out on Mondays, instead of taking my Lunestra I just rewatch the Peyton scenes from earlier that night so they do save me 1 pill per week. And it’s really not so much Leyton, but more specifically Lucas, he just brings every scene with anyone he’s in down, it’s like CMM is just going through the motions but doesn’t really want to be there. And on the complete opposite side of the spectrum you have SB who makes Brooke so watchable and exciting, now that girl would actually have chemistry with a real dish rag lol…she’s had chemistry with almost every single actor she’s played in a scene with since season 1, she’s just one of those natural scene stealers because of her presence. Thank God for Brooke that Brucas is over, now if only we can rescue Peyton?

Brcuas, YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! You are falling all over yourself about a couple that was in the past and had like a total of four scenes together. Do you even read the spoilers about Julian for future episodes. Little hint… I don’t think he will be eyeing Peyton for long. Hell, next weeks promo says volumes about what to expect.
I shouldn’t even be surprised. It is typical that Pulian is turning into the new Browen. How long now have LPers been subject to BLers bashing us for rooting for Brooke and Owen purely for selfish reasons, because we don’t want anything interfering with our couple? Sounds to me like the shoes on the other foot this time…
And as for this sh*t about the writers copying BL “game on” stuff with LP, what relationship doesn’t have a little bit of teasing and flirtation like that?! I never hear that the writers are copying stuff to use with Naley. Wonder why?

I know what you mean. Sophia and Joy have always been my favs and they still are to this day. Gotta disagree with you about Peyton though, hehe. I have never liked her, she was always so angsty and sullen. The only reason why I watch One Tree Hill is for the NHJ storylines and the Brooke storylines. Can’t stand Leyton at all, never have and never will. I hated when Brooke was with Lucas I was always thinking what the hell is hot Brooke doing with broody Lucas, blech!!!

Okay then I will bear with it and stick up for what I believe in… I believe that the next time Karen comes to visit Lucas he should take the boat for a nice long ride out to sea never to be found. Maybe on a deserted island he could hook up with something more suitable for his lethargic personality…maybe Wilson the soccer ball?

well obviously they arent going to make it look like peyton and lucas ended their relationship because she said “someday” they had to come back to have better closure. everyone knew it was coming but now julian is here and imho, i love julian with peyton. like always however, she breaks their hearts. but at least she didnt deny that they were in love! we’ve never read lucas’ novel, but i think a big portion of it was mostly about keith. i know nathan said half is peyton and the other half is brooke but i really think its a lot about keith. every person only said that it was a love letter to peyton because he ended with her, but he wont end his life with her, at least i hope not. julian is a much better person for peyton. i love him!

Well when Peyton is with Brooke or Haley she is watchable, I think it’s being with Lucas that is bringing her character down and she hasn’t always been the best friend to anyone so I can definitely see where your coming from. Haley & Brooke are much better at being friends to each other and to Peyton when she’s in need, otherwise it’s usually Peyton coming aorund when she needs something. That’s also called a Loser like her loser of a fiancee, well then hell I guess they are meant to be together afterall….two losers in a pod…err I mean two peas in a pod….ROFL

and hey I’m a brucas fan but I’m definitely NOT rooting for Peyton and Julian specifically for that fact that it’s going to complicate the LP relationship. I actually LOVED every single scene with them in it. Like I genuinely thought that they had such great chemistry and the writers portrayed Peyton as being so happy and you can’t even say she wasn’t truly happy because I mean when Julian said “I love you” and she looked at him and said “I love you too” it totally made my heart melt like the epic “I love you” “I love you too, pretty girl” scene.
Honestly it was just refreshing to see that for the past 5 years Peyton hasn’t been sulking and depressed, she’s been happy. And yes she obviously still cared deeply for Lucas and yes that’s why Julian left but I ALWAYS knew there was NO WAY IN HELL Mark would have Lucas be happy with another woman and have Peyton drowning in her own misery. Last season I bet my younger sister that Peyton had another guy in her life at some point in time between her and Lucas splitting up and getting back together. I didn’t think she would have been in love with him, but I still knew she had someone.
And I’m also on board with my new idea that Brooke will flirt with Julian only to test how over him Peyton really is. I think she’ll purposely flirt with him in front of Peyton just to see how she’ll react and if Brooke thinks Peyton’s jealous, she’ll call her out on it. And if Brooke can see it, maybe Lucas will too, which will lead him into a jealous rage lol I can’t ever remember Lucas getting jealous…maybe a little over Felix back in S2? But yeah there’s loads of drama ahead.

Dani, what I meant was that when people are squablling over BL versus LP like this situation with BL fans saying that 6×07 LP scenes were just coping BL from season 3… They never mention when Naley do things that are similar to BL.

And just to clarify, I’ve loved every couple except LP from the start! I never thought they had that great of chemistry and I always thought they looked like brother and sister. Yes I’m aware everyone always says that yadda yadda yadda but I honestly thought/still think it.
Anyways, I even liked Nathan and Peyton even though they were totally dysfunctional and crazy I kinda liked it. I wasn’t a total fan of Nathan and Haley but then I came around after he stopped being such an ass to her. I was ALWAYS in love with BL and I ALWAYS thought/still think Jake and Peyton belonged together. The only couple other than LP I couldn’t stand and they technically were a one night stand was Brooke and Nathan. As hot as they both are I hated it. And I wasn’t on board with Brooke and Owen but that’s only because I wanted Bruas
lol but I loved every Julian and Peyton scene and I’m sure I’ll love any Julian and Brooke scene.
So Laura I just wanted to prove that there are BL fans out there who have loved every couple. There are times when I watch OTH and there’s a cute Peyton and Lucas scene and I’ll smile and think “that was sweet” but I’ve never liked them and I really don’t think I ever will. I’m sure there are tons of people out there who have loved every or almost every couple and just because they’re waaaaaaaaaaaay more passionate about a certain couple doesn’t mean they’re wrong or anything. ALWAYSbrucas there are so many more examples of how Brooke has been a great friend to Haley & Peyton, there are just too many to mention, it began in season 2 and kept on going up until now. She’s always there for them, with helping them, surprising them, lifting spirits, planning parties, she keeps their secrets, gives them advice, an all around awesome friend and she does get a bit of that back from Haley, but vey rarely back from Peyton. Peyton is just too needy & narcissistic to even realize when a friend needs her, pretty much the female counterpart of Squinty, I guess they really are two losers in a pod….oh damn did I say losers again, I meant “two peas in a pod”….

I did think the Pulian scenes from tonight were cute and certainly tied up loose ends, but I still think it’s way too far of a stretch to think that Pulian will happen. It just seems to cheesy. This guy we haven’t even heard of until like two episodes ago comes in and sweeps Peyton off her feet and steals her from Lucas (the man she has loved for years).
And without offending anyone I would still like to point out how this could appear to some like you guys are jumping on the Pulian train in order to derail Leyton. I really liked Browen last season and still do, but I was told countless times that I just liked them because I didn’t want Brooke to get in the way of Leyton. I just hope that if you like Pulian, it is genuine.

i will say that even i liked the Julian/Peyton flashbacks tonight… they did seem to really be in love and be happy. HOWEVER… i also loved how they made it a point to show that not even Julian could replace Lucas, just like Lindsey couldn’t replace Peyton. and yet AGAIN, Mark made it a point to show that no matter who Lucas and Peyton move onto, or who else they are in love with, no one will ever come between them in the end! Before I went to bed I just wanted to say that I’m really diggin’ all the new storylines that are happening and super excited that we have even more closure about Peyton’s past when she was in L.A.. I really want Browen together, but Julian/Brooke look like they could be kind of fun too. And now that SlamBall looks to be in the past, I’m anxious to see what’s next for the Scott family. Hopefully this will be the start of Haley making her comeback! Goodnight all!

LeytonTLA, if your seriously think that Julian and Peyton don’t want each other im not so sure you paid close attention to last nights episode. if you watch it you clearly see julian loves peyton. we dont know, peyton might still have left over feelings for lucas and lucas might just be her rebound. julian left because he thought she couldnt let go of lucas, but im sure she did seeing as how she told lucas that her and julian didnt date “they were in love”. if it was a PAST relationship, she wouldnt say they were in love, rather they dated and cared for each other for a while. you can sure say that Leyton will end up fine but dont be too sure.

Brucas, i can understand that maybe Julian has feelings for Peyton based on last nights episode… but there was nothing that makes me think that Peyton still has feelings for him. she told Lucas “we WERE in love”… meaning in the PAST. and i’m sorry but Lucas will never ever be a rebound for Peyton, it’s the other way around. JULIAN was the rebound from Lucas, because Peyton went to him AFTER she thought that Lucas was with Lindsey. Just like Lucas went to Lindsey AFTER he thought that Peyton wasn’t interested by not showing up to the book signing. Julian and Lindsey were the rebounds… not Lucas and Peyton!

yeah i’ll be the first to admit that i saw the chemistry with Lucas and Lindsey too. if there was no Leyton then i can definitely see myself being a Lindcas fan. there just wasn’t really anything wrong with their relationship… that is until Peyton came back and Lucas had to face his TRUE feelings. the only negative thing i can think of about Lindcas was that Lucas clearly never FULLY gave his whole heart to Lindsey, but other than that i had no problem with them. but with that being said… go Leyton!!

i mean i agree with the fact that i think Lucas SHOULD end up with one of the MAIN characters (Peyton or Brooke), but i just can’t get on board with Brucas being endgame, even if Leyton won’t be. at this point i just think it makes way more sense for him to be with Lindsey than for him to be with Brooke. we’ve seen him and Lindsey romantically involved very recently… we haven’t seen Brucas since season 3/VERY beginning of season 4. i just see Brooke as being totally out of the picture these days as far as Lucas’ love life goes.. but that’s just me

uhh LeytonTLA, when you are IN love with someone, it clearly means that you havel let go of that significant other. maybe peyton realized that LP was just a highschool thing because they clearly couldnt work things out after that. if LP was true love, why would they break up in the first place? if it was true love LP would still be together. and it doesss make sense. she was holding on to lucas’ memories. she came back to tree hill BECAUSE julian left her. julian and brooke who both love peyton and lucas left them for the same reason and now brooke and julian find each other having dealt with the same kinda heartbreak. i just want julian to stay, he looks like a really good guy,a good guy that peyton fell in love with once, NOT just dated. i also agree with you that lucas should be with one of the main girls, brooke or peyton, but since its causing all these rivalries and really mean debates, id love to see lindcas happen, that was lucas’ mature relationship and he was happy. pulian was peytons mature relationship and id love to see that happen too!
P Sawyer. again, i watched the episode and Julian was clearly in love with Peyton. Peyton only went back to lucas because julian left her. if everything was fine between LP and if LP were true love Peyton wouldnt be afraid to tell Lucas about Julian. Lucas also seemed jealous and may i say AGAIN that jealousy is no where close in defining true love. Lucas has no reason to be jealous unless it is the whole chemistry thing. i really think pulian has WAY MORE chemistry than leyton. ugh i dont see any chemistry between leyton. i love lindcas a lot more than leyton. she was really nice, i hate that she had to leave the show.
brucasfan, you said you dont think anyone has had the chemistry brucas and naley have, i saw that chemistry in pulian!!! i know it was only flashbacks but cmon they were so good together! =D as you can seee i lovee pulian! and im just anti-leyton. GOD quit saying that Peyton came back to tree hill just because Julian left her! the whole reason Julian left her in the first place was BECAUSE she still loved Lucas!!! so ofcourse Peyton is going to go back to Lucas, because she clearly should have been with him all along! Leyton IS true love… which is why they are back together YET AGAIN, and HAPPILY ENGAGED! get over it

no peyton didnt still love lucas, she was just holding onto his book. you are telling me to get over it?…i dont get it, get over what? julian and peyton were in love! CLEARLY STATED AND SEEN! LP is not true love, lucas was in love with Peyton in highschool and yea they had some kind of odd chemistry in season 4 but they dont have it anymore. i think you need to get over Leyton because i honestly think they are only together because everyone keeps telling lucas what to do. peyton had a choice when she saw Lindsay kiss Lucas (on the cheek) at the book signing: to fight for him or to let go of him.
Leyton clearly grew apart and she fell in love with Julian and Lucas fell in love with Lindsay. I think the best endgame couples would be Lindcas, Pulian and Brooke, i dont know but i really like Pulian and Lindcas, GENUINLEY.

and not to mention after peyton chose to leave Lucas, she found something better, JULIAN! and like it or not Peyton loved Julian.
oh and Leyton being together right now doesnt really matter to me, its not the end of the show and maybe Lucas has chosen Peyton (like mark said) but Peyton probably hasnt decided, even though Lucas and her are engaged, ITS ONL BECAUSE JULIAN LEFT HER! he still loves her and i admire that. at least he didnt blab off to lucas about his relationship. i liked him in the flashbacks and i even like him now, hes a badass but really sweet.

leyton has always been rebounds to each other. hopefully mark will be smart enough to not f up the show. the writing after 4th season as been weak. i still “like” the show but it still needs the writing it had during 2nd or 3rd season

i think the show is really good, i like it. even though leyton is together its an awesome show. but yea i see where you are coming from, the show died a lil when leyton got together, but im hoping that peyton ends up with julian hes just so sweet!
btw, does anyone know lucas’ reasons for punching julian out on the next episode…besides the fact that hes jealous of his past with peyton? because as far as i know, julian hasnt done anything wrong, not directly at least. he didnt tell peyton hes here to win her back or the f up her relationship with lucas. in my honest opinion, lucas is an a**hole! bring back the lucas i loved in season 2 and 3 <3

lol all of the Leyton bashing is just so funny to me at this point…. saying that Leyton have always been rebounds… you’re kidding right? it’s more like everyone ELSE that they have dated have been rebounds from eachother. Leyton rock, they are clearly the couple that are meant to be, the show has made that perfectly clear. and i’ll say again that the anti-Leyton fans are NEVER happy. one second you’re complaining about how Peyton is too desperate and needs to leave Lucas alone when he’s with someone else, then the next thing you know, you’re saying that she should have fought for him when she thought he was with Lindsey at the book signing. she CHOSE to leave him alone that day, and it still isn’t enough for you!
if you don’t like Leyton then that’s fine, but i think the reasons for not liking them are just getting ridiculous, and you all are becoming hypocrites at this point. Leyton are together and engaged for a reason… THEY LOVE EACHOTHER! if you choose to believe that they are only together because Julian and Lindsey left them, then that’s up to you i guess. but you’re leaving out one important fact… the whole reason that Julian and Lindsey left them is because they both knew that Lucas and Peyton STILL HAD FEELINGS FOR EACHOTHER! they never let go of eachother… Julian and Lindsey both knew that. THAT is why they left them, and THAT is why Leyton is back together, like they clearly should have been all along!

The show is weak in the 5th and 6th season-and I don’t mean because Peyton is with Lucas-I mean the writing for all of the characters. and as far as the couple that is meant to be together, that is obviously Nathan and Haley! All the people that write here that is one thing they all agree on, hands down and bar none!
