Episode 10 Even Fairytale Characters Would Be Jealous Recap
Reminder: we have a new chat room for tonight.
It opens with Hilarie coming out on stage at the concert. She introduces Haley. Haley comes out and freezes on stage. You see her wake up from a nightmare in her room.
Brooke goes to her fridge and gets out some water. She sees Sam at the table. She has made breakfast and is waiting with a smile.
Millie comes in with a bag to Mouth’s room and Gigi is sleeping in his bed. Mouth is on the couch sleeping. Millie still seems upset and leaves.
Nathan comes in in a wheelchair and teases Haley. He said the doctor said he’s fine. She tells him about her nightmare of forgetting her words. Nathan says he can’t wait. Haley says he can’t go. He asks if she remembers singing to her at the cafe. He says pretend like they’re back there.
Lucas wakes up and Peyton is staring at him. She says you said OK. She’s upset. She wants him to be jealous or get mad. He just says OK and kisses her. She says you can stop with the OKs. It’s not ok.
Brooke and Sam eat together. Brooke says she mess want something or needs to confess something. She says she just wants to be nice. Brooke asks if she’s excited about helping at the concert. The phone rings and Patricia from the adoption agency calls and says she needs to talk to her about a placement for a baby.
Mouth’s phone rings and it’s Millie. She asks about the night before. Mouth says he worked late. She says she’s home and she’ll be back shortly. He falters when she says 5-10 minutes. She says do one thing…get that slut out of my bed.
Luke goes to see Julian and he says how are you doing? Luke punches him and says “OK”.
Luke goes to see Nathan and Haley. He fills them in. They’re amused the drama isn’t about them. Haley has to leave to go get Jamie who has an imaginary friend. Lucas leaves too. Quentin is there and says why are you calling an imaginary friend weird.
Mouth runs in and tries to get Gigi out. Gigi doesn’t care. She says I can’t believe you got me drunk and took advantage of me. Mouth says I didn’t do either. You passed out and I washed your clothes. Gigi takes her clothes off in front of him. Mouth says oh my god and walks out.
Millie walks into Brooke’s and says there was a girl in my bed! She says she found Gigi in her bed. Brooke says what’s the problem if Mouth was on the couch? Brooke says no way, they’re perfect and he wouldn’t screw that up. Millie says maybe since I don’t sleep with him. Brooke is shocked. She doesn’t believe she’s a virgin since they live together. She says you do the other stuff? She shakes her head no. Brooke is impressed. Millie says maybe they should. She says it’s not about sex..you need to go talk to him about it. Millie agrees. Brooke says not even… Millie says no.
Peyton and Sam are walking around at the concert. Sam says she has to pay her back for the wedding dress. Peyton says about that…and slaps her on the head. Sam asks about her birth parents. She says she met them. Sam says it seems greedy you have four and I have none. Peyton asks about Brooke. Sam says it won’t last she’s getting a baby. Peyton is shocked. Derek walks in and introduces them.
Mouth says it’s a long story but I’ll explain. Millie is shocked he was drunk with his intern at work. He was trying to be respectful. Millie says maybe not to the right girl. He says it was innocent. She says new rule, no one in our bed except us. And burn the sheets.
Nathan is playing basketball on his video game. Q says he’s still there. He says he needs him. Nathan asks what he wants. Q says what do you want? Don’t you have a championship game to play? Nathan doesn’t say anything.
Haley tells Peyton she can’t play the concert. She can’t remember her lines. Mia comes up and teases her. Sam comes up and says Sam will be her assistant all night. Mia reassures Haley and says who would notice? Haley points to the crowd and says “Them!”
Peyton goes back out and talks to the crowd. Haley freaks out and asks Mia for the words. She gives her the first two lines. She goes out on stage. They show the crowd and she looks nervous. She starts singing and does well. Sam and Mia chat backstage. Sam asks about being on the road. Mia says sometimes sleeping somewhere different on the road is hard. Sam says yeah, I’ve done that.
Nathan continues playing basketball. Q keeps talking to him. Nathan says he’s ignoring him. Q says did you quit basketball or slamball? Nathan says what do you want from me? Q says I’m ignoring you.
Julian tells Peyton he needs to talk to Lucas. Peyton says you should do that then.
Brooke takes pictures of Sam backstage. Luke stops and talks to her. Luke asks if Peyton ever talked about Julian. She tells him she didn’t know how to tell him. Brooke says you have no room to talk. It was not right after they talked and Lucas hooked up with Brooke the night after they broke up. And you almost married Lindsey. She says Julian was just a rebound. It’s not real love. She says to go and kiss it out. He sees Julian and Peyton together and he says he would if he could squeeze in between her and rebound guy.
Haley finishes singing Feel This and the crowd claps.
Peyton introduces Mia. Mia tells the crowd she’s single before she sings.
Derek tells Haley she was great backstage. He asks about a tour. She says no, not since having Jamie. He says Jamie is lucky. He wasn’t so lucky to have such a good mom. She says we all find our own happiness despite the pain people have caused us.
Mouth is back at work. Gigi comes in and apologizes. Mouth says they need to be more professional. Gigi says he’s hot when he’s mad.
Mia continues to sing.
Brooke is backstage and introduces herself to Julian. Brooke says you must know from the book, if you’re not Lucas or Peyton it doesn’t end well and they’re two of my best friends and if he messes with them, she will mess with him. Julian says it sounds like fun. Peyton comes in and says to quit flirting with her best friend and they have a band to announce. Brooke says we do? Peyton says yes! Julian laughs as they walk away.
Nathan and Q watches clips of his game. Nathan says I’m calling it quits because I don’t want to be in the wheelchair and do that to Haley and Jamie. Q says that’s your excuse? Nathan says I worked hard and my dreams started to come true and started to believe people go through things to make them stronger and then you were gone. He realized we’re not invincible. Dreams die. Q says so what? What are you going to do? Watch ball on TV? That pisses him off. You have a second chance and he wishes he did.
Peyton grins at Lucas across the way at the concert. Julian goes to talk to Lucas. Lucas won’t talk. Julian figured if he knew their history, he wouldn’t work with him. He believes in the book and he wants to make it. Lucas says there’s not going to be a movie. Julian said at the risk of getting punched, I own the option to the book, it’s happening with or without him.
Brooke and Peyton walk out. Peyton says Brooke was begging her to come out. Brooke says Hi boys, it’s an honor to be here. Peyton thanks them for all they do. They introduce Angels and Airwaves.
Peyton asks about the baby. She says to talk to Sam, she thinks her days are numbered.
Nathan and Q keep talking. Nathan says Haley and Jamie are his dream. Q says he’s better when he’s living his dreams.
Millie goes to see Gigi. She tells her to back off. She says she doesn’t trust or like her. Stay out of her bed and away from Marvin.
Brooke steals Sam away from Mia to talk. Sam says it’s not her business. She gets that people want the puppy not the mut. Brooke says she’s not going back to the pound. She doesn’t want her to feel threatened or scared. Brooke’s home is her home now. Sam says OK but looks like she might cry.
Peyton says I’m sorry and kisses Luke. She asks about Julian. Luke says he’s not going to do the movie. He’s going to make it anyway. Peyton says he can’t do that. Luke says he can. He doesn’t trust him. Peyton says it’s her fault. Luke says it’s ok, there will be other books.
Peyton and Derek talk. He thanks her. It made him realize he wasted too much time being sad about the family he doesn’t have instead of thankful for the family he does have.
Sam thanks Mia. She asks for an autograph. Mia gives her her number and says they’ll hang out.
Mouth is at work and Gigi asks him to walk her to her car. They walk out together. Gigi says she doesn’t want to cause trouble with Millie. She hugs him by. Millie watches from the car and gets upset.
Peyton and Julian talk. Peyton is angry. Julian says he believes in it and he wants to make it. But he needs him to make it better. He wants Peyton to convince him to do the movie. Peyton agrees.
Haley comes home and there are candles everywhere. Nathan asks about the concert. She says she loved it. It felt right and she felt alive. Nathan is bummed he didn’t get to see her. He says if she’s not tired, he was hoping for an encore. She gets up to sings. He says let’s promise not ever to be scared to live our dreams.
Angels and Airwaves sings again.
Brooke calls the adoption agency. She says she has a teen. She says no, I didn’t realize that would complicate things.
Peyton goes into their room. She says you punched Julian. Lucas says yeah, that was me being jealous. She says I’m glad you got jealous. Peyton says I think you should do the movie. Julian wants his help and she agress. She says don’t walk away from this for the wrong reasons. Luke says it’s hard to know you were in love with him and she’s been so strong and so good to me when I’ve strayed from us so I’m going to try to let go of it..besides who wouldn’t fall in love with you, Peyton Sawyer. They kiss.
Nathan says I really enjoyed the encore. Haley pulls her straps off and says I think you’ll enjoy the encore to the encore even more. She walks back to bed. Q is there when Nathan turns around from blowing the candles out. Nathan says he does miss him Q says focus on the comeback. The phone will ring one day and live the life, live the dream, no fear. Nathan says no fear and watches him walk away.

I’m really pumped for this episode and think it’s wonderfully fitting that it’s a USO show and tomorrow is Remembrance Day! Or is it Memorial Day in the States? Something like that? Either way, so proud of OTH for doing this.

oh my god this was the BEST Leyton episode EVER! the fact that Lucas secretly really did get jealous was awesome… and everything he said to Peyton at the end just proved his feelings for her that much more! that little speech he gave her was the best. and yes… Brooke did say herself tonight that she WAS the third person in the LUCAS AND PEYTON triangle. “i think it’s pretty clear from the book that if you’re not Lucas or Peyton, you can pretty much forget it.” –Brooke’s words… says it all right there! and her mention of Lucas trying to hook up with her in season 5 just proved that she WAS just a rebound.
after this episode, i have never been more secure with Leyton, and i think it’s safe to say that Brucas is definitely over! (not that i was really worried about it to begin with, but still lol). oh and Naley was cute too for all of you Naley fans! GO LEYTON!

thank you honey! …lol its sooooo hard espicially these days to have any brucas hope when brucas themselves have given up..although things are super peachy for leyton now i just cant and i wont give up on brucas even if it ends with leyton i wont give up on my brucas because i know brooke wasnt a thirdwheel and im not sure who writes the script to this show but there is too much contradiction in reference to his novel ..one day its a love letter to peyton next day its only half peyton half brooke third its what brooke said in this episode which i refuse to re-utter lol but idc brucas is how i want it to be…so call me delusional lol..and also i dont think leyton is an epic love story either its an okay story brucas is epic

ahhhh. Loved this episode. Loved, loved, loved Naley. My god Naley are just so freaking hot together!!! Loved the Leyton scenes, loved seeing Lucas get all jealous, hehehe, so cute. Loved that Q came back!! Loved Brooke and Sam, Brooke is the best foster parent ever, she is just so amazing!!! And damn did anyone notice how much chemistry Julian and Brooke have? One of my favs of the season

Wow, I can’t believe LP finally talked FINALLY. I’ve been waiting for this conversation since 601 and it sucks it took Julian to bring out just how much Lucas cares about Peyton. I’m just really pleased with the whole thing, it turned out so much better than I expected. Does anyone have the entire dialogue from the LP bed scene, my dvr kept cutting out.

least favorite episode so far in season 6. The whole episode was kinda based around leyton which seemed a little cheesy to me.. So didn’t see Quentin coming back! he was soo good such a good actor :]

i’m really loving the fact that ernest is back on the show for however short-lived it is. i was also happy to see robbie and james in some scenes together. the naley-ness was good, but they should have taken the last scene in the coda a little further than just leaving it to the imagination. i was doing some thinking and wondering if perhaps the lack of naley bow chika bow wow scenes was due to the current tangled web of personal lives ( no, i dont want to get into a fight, just wondering) and whatnot. it could be a possibility. and was it me, or did joy and michael grab eahcother’s hand for a quick second as she finished singing the song and walked toward backstage with him following?

Peyton: I’m happy you got jealous.
Lucas: Really?
Peyton: But, even thought i’m happy, i do think you should do the movie. I think you’re going to regret seeing it made without you, Luke. And it’s your story to tell, and Julian doesn’t think it can get made without you. And i agree.
Lucas: You talked to Julian?
Peyton: Look, you can punch him in the face anytime you want, okay? But, i don’t want you to walk away from this for the wrong reasons. I don’t want you to have any regrets.
Lucas: You know, it’s hard for me to know that you were in love with this guy. But you have been so strong, and so good to me, when i’ve strayed from us. So i’m going to TRY to let go of it, okay? Besides, who wouldn’t fall in love with you Peyton Sawyer?

BTW, disagree. One of the best episodes of the season. Really went back to what One Tree Hill was all about in the beginning. It is all about family and each character finally decided family is important to them, no matter how you define it.

First off i agree with you alyssa Brooke was awesome.
Second, this wasn’t as freakin’ great as the rest of season 6 so far but it was still a good episode.
Sam needs to come first b/c Brooke is really great with Sam. She is kind of fixing herself in the way that they have alot in common! good for brooke!

loved tonights episode and to answer your question about the Naley lovey dovey scenes being cut a little short Angela. I don’t think it has anything to do with anything going on in the actors/actresses personal lives, I just think that Mark is really trying to push the Leyton love to the forefront, I mean we have gotten years and years of Naley love scenes, while Leyton not so much. I think they are all professional and their personal lives wouldn’t affect the show at all

lol brucasfan i hate to burst your Brucas bubble, but Brooke made that statement about their kiss in NY to prove a point… that Lucas had his REBOUNDS with the Brooke kiss, and Lindsey… so he had no right to get mad about Peyton having her rebound with Julian. there’s no way that kiss between Brucas was anything more than a rebound kiss from an unstable Lucas… i think that’s been made perfectly clear

no offence to leyton fans out there but in my opinion if the show keeps revolving around leyton the ratings are going to drop drastically. They don’t spark any instrest to me and it seems like they just drag on.. and on.. If they are going to put leyton together mind as well put some meaning in their scenes and make it a bit more intersting to watch becuase at this moment oth has gotten really dull compared to the beginning of season 6..

Sorry guys. The only thing I saw written on the wall was a Lucas and Peyton baby. The foreshadowing for Peyton’s pregnancy was all over the episode.
BTW, still amazed and believe the OTH writers are listening to my podcast. How many times I have harped that Peyton needed to let go of this bio family obsession that her adoptive parents are her real parents – AND SHE SAID THAT TONIGHT!!!

okay… how on earth would that lame Brucas kiss even be brought up to Peyton in the first place? the only two people that know about it are Lucas and Brooke… and neither one of them would EVER tell Peyton about that because
A) Brooke is her best friend, and wouldn’t want to hurt her
B) Lucas is engaged to her… so why on earth would he tell her that?

One thing I loved about this episode is that there was so much girl power all the girls came together and the way they communicated that was awesome. Peyton catch on to sam worries and told brooke. Haley go to do something she loved with mia and peyton backing her. Brooke was so cool.
Q was totaly unexpected a grown man with an invisible friend or spirit friend! Overall this was a very good episode.

I think the episode opens with Lucas and Peyton in some form or fashion in 611 which may help set up 612 and Peyton doctor stuff.

Something like that is the second dumbest thing he’s done that day.
So I rewatched some scenes and I do agree with Denise. All the talk of family in this episode, plus the Peyton/Sam and BP scene about a “new baby” make me think that it was a little bit of foreshadowing for Peyton being pregnant.

Brooke says “okay, that may have been the second STUPIDEST thing you’ve done on the past 24 hours. i know you’re hurting right now, but we’re not in high school anymore, and i love Peyton. and even if you may not want to admit it right now, so do you.” …or something along those lines. then she talks about healing his heart by focusing on his work. i can’t remember how she finishes the scene, something like “now i’m going to go, and you probably won’t see me for a while. Lucas Scott is going to change the world someday and he doesn’t even know it yet”. again… i’m not sure what the word for word convo was… but that’s just the gist!

I don’t mind Brucas, but the night of the Banquette in Season 4, Lucas and Brooke both admitted that theirs wasn’t a true love, not the love that Whitey was describing, not an enduring mutual feeling. I am sure Lucas loved Brooke, and he also loved Peyton, and there was a great deal of guilt involved, too. Lucas had to prove to himself that he has changed, grown and become the man he wants to be. So because he hurt Brooke most, he went and proved to her that he was for real. Even though all along he still had the feelings for Peyton. I mean how can you admit to someone that he/she is not your great love and still rekindle it after years apart…I think that Brooke wouldn’t allow it, she conceded to Peyton. That’s that.

This was an awesome episode! I loved it… Lol i was beginning to get mad because Lucas was being a jerk! but I am glad Brooke was sticking up for Peyton and not taking any of Lucas’s crap! OMG!! I also loved the Lucas and Peyton scene at the end… I cried lol best LEYTON scene ever and Lucas finally redeemed himself in my eyes and probably a lot of people’s GREAT EPISODE!!!
