Brucasfan i also know the brucas rain scene by heart. my favorite episode. i dont think that leyton will ever have a moment like that no matter how hard they try. it helped that in real life chad and sophia loved eachother, i think they were separated at that time, but their emotions were still there.

Call me a slave to the punishment of season five, but this speech by Peyton is probably the best of season five. It is from 502 when Lucas is giving Peyton the office space in TRIC and she tells him she was at his book signing in LA and reminds him what he told her all those years ago when he joined the ravens.
Peyton: It’s like you touched my soul. And a few days ago I was ready to quit again but you saved me with the words you wrote about me in your novel. So if you are struggling to write the next one, you should know that your art matters, it’s what got me here.
I love it because Peyton finally told Lucas what she revealed to Haley in season one. That she felt connected to Lucas because he touched her soul. Made her whole and made her find the person she was supposed to be and not who people thought she should be.
Lucas gave Peyton her “freedom” to be who she was meant to be. And I love that was brought out in 611. And that she said he comforts her because he does – he settled her restlessness just as she does his.

Seriously I love you guys here at OneTreeHillBlog but you can’t post the pretty girl comment when he was on the phone then post the dialogue from the show to try to justify what happened…Lucas wasn’t dreaming when he said that, THE DREAM HADN’T EVEN HAPPENED YET and he didn’t even know he was going to dream about the Tree Hill Casablanca remake. I don’t recall who said this above but someone asked when is Lucas going to find out that Brooke called it off because off Peyton. Well I was thinking yesterday that I think Julian will find all this out from Brooke and regarding that fact that Brooke wrote another 4 letters and he is going to try to get Brooke between Peyton and Lucas. I will tell you this. If Peyton is pregnant, and I believe she is, that is all she wrote. We can see the love in Lucas’ eyes for “his Peyton” add a child in the mix and that is all she wrote folks.
Not to mention it was said before the season began that triangle or square or whatever has passed. And if they wanted high drama with Julian, Lucas would have been more upset with Peyton for witholding that she knew him.
Instead he averts all his displeasure on Julian and admits to Peyton it is hard to know that some other man loved her. I took it to mean that Lucas knows and believes now, more then ever, that loving Peyton is his job.
Those are forever words, folks. FOREVER!!

In Season five Brooke said to Peyton that if those are the 86 letters to Lucas something along those lines. Denise I have been coming on this blog since last year and I love to read your post, you have a great insight on OTH and LP. I just hope your right on everything, I love LP together and I guess I am a little nervous with the whole Julian and other things that could come into play. I am hoping for a season 7 thou, we are going to NC this coming summer and my seven year old just loves Peyton and Lucas. I fun to see how love is protrayed in there eyes. Honey, I remember someone talking about the letter like at the beggining of the summer. It was when a lot of BLers thought it might help with BL reuniting. I haven’t heard anything substantial since. If that SL was to appear, I really don’t see how it could really stir up too much. I mean they were written a long time ago when BL were still center stage. Not to get your hopes down, just wanted to let you know.

The same season four when Brooke went sleeping around with a guy she picked in a bar not long after breaking up with Lucas. The same guy that turned out to be her teacher and she still continued to sleep with him.
How about when the great Brooke kept her mouth shut after vindictively going after Lucas when her little fling ended with the teacher. Asking Lucas to the banquet when she knew Peyton was close to telling Lucas her feelings, believing Brooke and Lucas were done. And how she said nothing when Peyton said she would continue to back away because it was obvious Brooke still had feelings for Lucas since she hadn’t been seeing anyone – WHEN SHE HAD BEEN SLEEPING WITH A TEACHER!!!!

that is the way you see it-the way we see it is that Brooke to her heart of Brucas and put it on a shelve where it would be safe from breaking again, because of Peyton. That is why I think that she broke up with Lucas because of Peyton. See you assume that Brooke was going to break up with Lucas before Peyton told her that she had feelings for him again. We or atleast I don’t think that is the case.

i’m just not understanding this whole “Brooke left Lucas because of Peyton” concept. Brooke broke up with Lucas because the deep connection just wasn’t there anymore. her exact words were “we go days without having meaningful conversation”… that has nothing to do with Peyton…. Lucas just drifted away from Brooke. AND later on, in season 4, after the bball banquet, they officially ended things because that love that Whitey was describing in his speech just WASN’T THERE between them… that has nothing to do with Peyton either. if “a love so strong that nothing or no one can come between it” isn’t there, then it just isn’t there. Brucas didn’t have a love THAT strong… and they BOTH acknowledged that. that’s not Peyton’s fault

Yes, Lucas and Peyton were the reason Lucas and Peyton’s relationships with others failed. But it wasn’t because of Lucas or Peyton it was because what Lucas and Peyton were doing and feeling seperatly when with other people.
Whomever they were with they weren’t with them with their whole heart. There was an area that was forever closed off – Lucas had his spot for Peyton and Peyton had her spot for Lucas.
See, the thing is sometimes people can get over that. Find love with someone else and be happy for the rest of their lives, even if they missed their chance to be with the person they were meant to be with. But with Lucas and Peyton that place is so large, takes up so much room in their heart, it is hard for anyone else to find a place.
So, it was and always will be Lucas and Peyton. They always find their way back to each other and unfortunately leave others in their wake. But I don’t blame them completely becasue these other people tried to love them but I think they knew the history and the score. They just couldn’t crack that code to Lucas and Peyton’s heart because they never had the combination.

Oh, LeytonTLA I totally agree with you on that. Don’t get me wrong.
Love fades, that happens. It is only the “true love” that soul searing love where you can’t breath and you just can’t WAIT to tell that person even the slightest bit of information about your day – that is real love.
And a love born of true friendship is the strongest kind. Lucas and Peyton can have that meanignful conversation or they could be just as content lying in bed, him reading a book, she listening to music without saying a word to each other, as long as they are in each other’s arms.
Love that scene where Lucas sits down with Peyton in the library and sees he is just looking for somewhere quiet. And asks if he could sit with her and read while she draws. CLASSIC Lucas and Peyton.
That is why I don’t need overt sex scenes or heavy petting with Lucas and Peyton. I know they love each other, I know their deep connection, they don’t need to show it to the audience. It is there every time he looks at her sweetly or she brushed her hand on his shoulder. Lucas and Peyton are where they are meant to be – with each other.

it had nothing to do with Peyton I clearly remember in 4×01
hearing Brooke telling Lucas that : “it’s not about HEr it’s about ME. I love you Lucas and I probably always will but we go days without having a meaningful conversation and I use to miss you so much when that happen.. but it never seems like you missed me and I guess because of that I stoped missing you. “ so she broke up with him not because of Peyton AT ALL.
IN my opinion, Brucas was never strong enough they didn’t had a love strong enough that no person could come between it. it was cute but Brooke was and never will be
the love of lucas life. It had always been Lucas and Peyton. (brooke’S word).
it was fun to watch but it wasn’t going to last and Brooke knew that. The only role Peyton play on Brucas breaking up is the fact that Brooke knows Lucas and Peyton are meant to be together and that like she said in 5×07 ( in da club episode ); “i’ve been the lindsay between lucas and Peyton and it’s not a great place to be.“ She broke up with Lucas because she wanted to.
Who can blame the girl (lindsay/brooke) for staying with a guy that is hidding is feelings for an other girl(peyton) and keep telling you that he doesn’t have feelings for her(peyton)that he loves you. When Brooke found out he had Kissed Peyton she knew right there what that Meant. AFter that,
Peyton said she wouldn’t tell Lucas. Brooke got scared because she knew the only reason why she was with Lucas all s3 was because Peyton was hidding her feelings for him. Brooke knew the minute Lucas was going to know that Peyton is still in love with him it’S the end. The only way she was secure about her relationship with Lucas was knowing that Peyton didn,t had feelings for Him. But when Peyton confess she still as feelings for him she gets angry insecure … arghhh seriously I could go on forever

Every one knows that the teacher was a rebound from lucas, her heart was in so much pain that she started to sleep wiht some one. u leyton fans are freaking out for no reason. any one who watches thr show knows that brooke broke up with lucas because she didnt want the same thing to happen like in season 1. just my opinion. u guys dont have to go bashing us three brucas fans. all that came up was that brooke had 4 extra letters that she wrote to lucas. we even said it would not do much affect to leyton. calm down. and no one said brooke was a saint, like u guys are trying to pretend peyton is one.

i just don’t think it’s right for people to blame all of Brucas’ problems on Peyton. now again, believe me, i’m not a Peyton OR a Leyton fan. but at the basketball banquet, Peyton told Brooke that as long as Brooke and Lucas were still involved, that Peyton was going to stay out of their relationship, and let Brucas’ relationship take it’s course. and that is what happened, they continued on with their night, and Lucas and Brooke heard Whitey’s speech about love, and they both knew that the love he was talking about just wasn’t there between Brucas. Brucas had their own problems as a couple… separate from their problems with Peyton. and that is why things didn’t work out for them.

who cares about Brucas anymore!! That relationship made Brooke miserable. I want Brooke and Julian to get together, they have wicked chemistry and it will be fun to watch them come together. I have always loved Brooke but I absolutely hated the Brucas relationship, she never should have given Lucas another chance!!! I don’t like Leyton either. The only ships on this show that I actually can tolerate are Naley(of course, they are too cute), and the Jeyton relationship. But as soon as Julian and Brooke get together (assuming they do) they will be my absolute fav

I love brucas so much because of what lucas brought to brooke. brooke was a selfish rude person before she met lucas. lucas taught her to be a better person that is why i love lucas. he made her strong and loving. they brought out the best in eachother. she was like Rachel in the beginning, and rachel had brooke to help her change and that is y i love their relationship. i just really want brooke to be happy, and she was most happy with lucas. i doubt brucas will be together, but i think to wonder and hope sometimes. and on this website i usually get attacked for it. but i love debating and i love hearing other views.

exactly LeytonTLA, because while I believe that Lucas did love Brooke, he never, ever gave her his whole heart and that is what ultimately makes the Brucas and Leyton relationships so different. When Lucas is with Peyton it always about Peyton but when he was with Brooke it wasn’t like that! It’s like Nathan and Haley, they always, always think of each other first and foremost and that is exactly what Leyton do aswell. I don’t mean to crap on the Brucas relationship because I love Brooke but they just didn’t work aswell together. NOW give me Brooke and Julian and that is sure to make me get goosebumps, they are so hot together!!!

Oh, i know im falling in love with julian, he has this charm and smile that i miss, lucas had it in seasons 1-4, but know he is too “grown” for it. austin just has great chemistry with everyone and works off of them, just like sophia, put them together and the scenes are amazing, i watched their scene like 100 times from 610. the look she gave him is like she found something in him. i cant wait until monday. i am so mad i have to wait til January for 613. im a very sad girl.

I don’t blame you at all Honey, you have every right to feel that way and while I do believe that Lucas changed Brooke for the better, I never really felt like Lucas deserved her. I guess I always felt his love for Peyton overshadowed their whole relationship and that is why I was never able to get into it.

Brooke may have appeared happy with Lucas but all she ever did was look over her shoulder because in the back of her mind she knew Lucas’ true heart was always with Peyton. That is what happens when you insinuate yourself into someone’s life when they are trying to figure out what they want.
Lucas didn’t have time to breath, after Peyton’s rebuff, before Brooke pounced. Knowing full well Peyton’s feelings for Lucas and Lucas’ feelings for Peyton. But she didn’t care Brooke wanted the new boy toy basketball player and everyone else be damned.
But I tell you this, if Lucas had not started playing basketball she wouldn’t have given him a second glance. It was all about the glitter on her finger and the cute boy on her arm. Lucas entrance on the basketball team made Peyton aware of Lucas but even if he didn’t play that chance encounter on river road when he went to pick up her car would have still put the wheels in motion.
I am not saying Brooke didn’t change. She matured and showed her compassionate side. But was it really because of Lucas or because she wanted to. Sure Lucas kind of showed her how to be different but if he was really “THE GUY” for her, Lucas wouldn’t come running whenever Peyton needed him.
Just like he went with Peyton to see Ellie when Brooke was starting her clothing line. Or how he ran into the school to save Peyton. Or how he was so suspicious of Psycho Derek and wouldn’t stop until he found out what was wrong.
How could anyone who claims to like Brooke want her with some guy who doesn’t want her with his whole heart. Not to mention that relationship was almost six years ago, and it is clear there is nothing romantic about them anymore. They were able to move past it and become friends.
No way and I mean NO WAY in hell could Lucas and Peyton do that. No matter how many times they parted the ember was still there and when Lucas saw Peyton again at the start of season five that ember began to burn until it became a raging fire – so he hid from it fearing the flames would burn again. He tried to put out the flames by using Lindsey as a buffer but in the end the fire was too great and it burnt him up inside until he broke free to see what was right in front of him – Peyton. Who was also burning for him.

i have one question for u denise…why did lucas chase after Brooke then if he always wanted Peyton. i agree at first that brooke just wanted lucas because of his looks and fun, but then she grown to love him. brooke should of known better when she starting dating lucas in season 1, she even tried to break up with him, but he said that he wanted to stay together, then peyton told her to trust her, but then she ruined her trust by going after lucas. the think that pisses me off the most in season 1 is when peyton and lucas started to hook up at the motel, but when the necklace got stuck, it was LUCAS, not Peyton, who stopped them. a guy who brooke just met stopped them, not her best friend from elementary school.
whatever, i think leyton will stay together til the end. i wish not, but i know they will.

you Leyton fans really have a way of coming off as sincere and not being rude to anyone but I find that everything you say has some sort of snarky undertone, now maybe that is just me, but I am allowed to say that. I just don’t think that posting a love story about Leyton is appropiate especially when you do it as some sort of ‘in your face thing’. Now maybe that is just the impression that I get but I still find it a tad over the top

this is somewhere for all the fans of OTH to discuss the show itself. and we’re all FANS because we’ve all seen the show. so there’s no need for people to get on here (not just Denise, but anyone) and rehash a couple’s history for us. like Stella said, we’ve all seen it already. it just comes across as you thinking we don’t know as much about the show as you do, and that’s not true. we’ve seen it just like you have, we just interpret it differently, and there’s nothing wrong with that. i just don’t like being lectured. i think if you want to write poems or books about Leyton during your free time, then do that if you want to, but they should be posted somewhere else.

if she posts them during a Leyton/Brucas debate, then we have to read them in order to reply to it lol. but usually they’re ALWAYS a long drawn out, over dramatic love story for Leyton, and like Stella said they are usually really over the top. we just don’t need to hear all of that. like i said, we know their history. we’ve seen the show. i also said that if she wants to write stuff like that then more power to her, i just don’t think a lot of it is relevant to what we’re talking about, and not EVERYONE wants to see that stuff. of course Leyton fans will love it, but there are other people on here besides Leyton lovers.

You know the one thing that really told me that Brooke and Lucas’ relationship would never have lasted was in season 4 when Karen says to Lucas she didn’t recognize him without Peyton attached to his hip and then she goes on to say you’ve had the biggest crush on her for a long time. She said I just want you to know I approve and I’m happy that you two have finally found each other. Then she goes on and tells him about how much she loved Keith and how fortunate Lucas is to still have Peyton. That’s when I truly realized that Peyton is the love of Lucas’ life and would probably always be. That sealed it for me. But again that’s just my opinion.
As to the 86 letters, Mark explains in some interview that 82 letters were written by Brooke and 4 were written by Lucas. I remember Brooke giving Lucas the 82 letters in a shoe box after he bailed her out of jail. It was right after he forgave her for sleeping with Chris. I can’t remember if it was at the end of that episode or in the next episode but I remember her giving them to him and I also recall him telling her he would mail her one of his letters he wrote each week. One of the letters is what caused her to be upset in the rain episode because he wrote in it something he wrote in a letter he previoulsy wrote to Peyton. She was already upset about the letter and then he mentions that it was really raining out, maybe they should call and check on Peyton (even though Ellie was with Peyton)so Brooke gets upset and runs out into the rain and hence the rain episode. Anyway that’s how I remember the letters. When Mark did his interview, he only brought up the letters because of the confusion of how many letters there were and he said it would be explained in one of the episodes but I thought this was an interview he did in season 5 not season 6 but I may be wrong. I just remember there not being any significance to them just that there were a total of 86 letters instead of the 82 that we always thought.

Yeah, we should probably cut off the Twilight discussion just because if I get started, I won’t be able to quit and this post is already huge.
But Twilight is a four-book Saga that I think all One Tree Hill fans would love. It’s a great love story marketed in the Young Adult genre but I’m 30 and I love it.
Twilight the movie which depicts the first book is out on Friday. I happen to win tickets to an advanced screening.

BTW, you guys did notice when 40s Lucas went out to fix Peyton’s car and he couldn’t and was going to walk her home she dropped the spark plug. Showing the fans she sabotaged her car on purpose so she could talk to Lucas.
That was the daily I got to watch with Chad. He was so excited about that scene. It really was amazing. Makes you wonder if Lucas thought, in the back of his mind, that maybe Peyton left her art in her car on purpose.

LindcasFan, I really do understand what you’re saying. Really I do. Because I’m the main one that has to go through them all. But I just can’t/won’t tell people not to have conversations. A lot of people have become friends from this site and it’s the only place they interact. I like it. Yes, if every single comment was about something unrelated to OTH that would be one thing but I don’t think anyone comments here and never says anything about OTH. If I’m mistaken, let me know and I’ll take a look back.

I know that is messed up but I love messed up. Wonder how Lucas and Peyton would deal with that news.
And of course you know the writing is on the wall for Dan to give Lucas an extra dig down the line. You know when LP have a baby it will be a girl and Dan will say “See Lucas, you couldn’t even do that right. Having a daughter instead of a son. Real Scott men have boys.”

Amy i totally agree with Leytonarehot. people come to this site to see OTH related conversations. not to spend their whole night skipping over personal discussions. i think you do an AMAZING job with this site, and i think a lot of people are just using the topics for the wrong reasons. this is a great site and i think it’s getting wasted on things that don’t relate to this show at all.

HaHa yeah, I am thinking this is where I want it to go – the story I am writing now. At least in my story Lucas and Peyton are finally married. LOL
Talking about MORE ONE TREE HILL we were joking about character analysis and 40s archetypes in the 611 ep and this is what I came up with:
Lucas – the saavy night club owner who appears to have it all and need nothing until “SHE” walks in
Nathan – the regular Joe who will go off to war and serve his country and can’t believe a classy dame like Haley would ever want him
Haley – the nightclub singer who got pulled in by the words of Dan Scott only to realize what he really wanted and luckily go a way to find her true love in Nathan
Brooke – the down on her luck femme fatale with a heart of gold who longs for the heart of the hero, that would be Lucas, but could never really capture it
Peyton – the sheltered, virginal ward of the “villian” who only sees the good in her protector until his dark heart is revealed. She longs for freedom and the saavy quiet club owner captures her attention because he is different and he challenges her and as Peyton says, he comforts her.
Dan: Of course is the villian but there were also times that Dan had just a moment of humanity. And so, the villian always has a ward that he takes in. A young girl he has promised to care for and tries to hide all the evil of the world, and the evil that he posses from him.

I have been on this blog since it first went up when it started no one was posting then slowly we started to post and its always been this place where we can talk about one tree hill and yes we all talk about one tree hill but what makes this blog SOOO MUCH better the anything is else is that we talk about who we are what we like and our lives.. We (The people who talk about our lives) have created a Family and WE talk about everything just as you would with your friends and family.. AMY and HEATHER have made a family Im proud to be a part of. I dont think you have any right to complain about it. Since the day you started posting on here it has been this way. Nothing has changed… We have freedom to talk to each other. That was the point of this blog *please amy correct me if im wrong* Some of us may be a little long winded (I love you denise.. Maybe Dixon sees Haley as the character like in “A Walk to Remember.” You may have issues with that book or the movie but you remember it don’t you? The good girl who falls in love with the bad boy, changes him and then dies tragically.
A suggestion of killing Peyton in the script, by Dixon, would have been too obvious.

gotta say that i totally see where LindcasFan is coming from on this topic. i hardly ever come on this site, and the few times that i do, i would love to comment about one tree hill… but more often then not, i just feel like it’s a waste and a hassel because it’s so hard to talk about the show, when you constantly have to take the time to skip past all of the personal convo’s going on. now i think it’s awesome that people have become friends on here, that’s all well and good…. but i also feel like there are other places to be having those personal convos other than a ONE TREE HILL blog.
i don’t think anyone is saying that you all shouldn’t be having personal conversations, it’s just that it gets in the way of other people enjoying this site. when personal conversations about people’s lives outside of one tree hill take up like 50% of the comments posted, it’s just hard for other people to get their posts in about the show… that’s all

yeah brucas i joined about a month ago. i dont want to bash peyton either, but it just gets me angry seeing brooke like that. i heard there is a second part to “touch me and im going to scream” 601. so im just THINKING maybe the attacker story is going to pop up again. i hope i really want someone to know. when peyton found out she didnt even act like a best friend about. i swear there is only one thing on her mind and it is lucas. brooke is just so selfless, that is what is great about her and also her down fall.

lana, sorry i have to disagree with you but if lucas loved peyton so much how come he fought for brooke and lindsay and not peyton and how come he said I do to lindsay if he was in love with peyton. maybe when he was with lindsy he was just hiding from his love for peyton but i still liked lindcas. but when lucas was with brooke in season 3 he actually loved brooke, he had no romantic feelings for peyton, it was peyton who was coming on to him all the time. “i love you, i want to be with you not peyton” “i love you brooke i dont know how else to tell you that” remember he said those things but yea i do think this whole B/L/P triangle starts a lot of fights between ppl who root for brooke and those who root for peyton. im watching that episode right now the midnight madness one where the fights break out lol its funny, i love the breyton friendship in this episode. when rachel punches brooke peyton takes rachel out! its awesome…if only it was like that now.

hey this is really random but i just thought of this did anyone ever notice the connection between brucas and the color red?…i mean brooke wore a red dress at the naley wedding she wore the devil red at that masq. party when lucas saved the feather..she wore red dress to prom which lucas said he liked the red dress and in the 1940’s episode she wore a red dress which he also said he liked lol … i mean this might mean nothing but it sure is a coincidence don’t you think?..also im not giving up on brucas!!!

Salma, I think it’s less of a Brucas thing and more of a Brooke thing. I remember some OTH special and it had a little part about the characters wardrobes. There was like the head of costuming on set talking about the characters and how she likes to dress them; anyway she said that Brooke/Sophia looks the best in jewel tones like dark reds. And I agree, she does rock the red!

just gotta jump in real quick and say that the fact that Lucas has “only given two of those embarrassing speeches, and they’ve both been with Brooke” means nothing to me lol. i agree with lau…. Lucas only gave Brooke those “speeches” because Brooke practically begged him for them, and she constantly needed that REASSURANCE from Lucas that he loved her. to me… that’s not sweet… it’s kind of sad lol. You know LeytonTLA, you are really rude!!!! IT was not sad at all for Lucas to give Brooke those speeches the only reason why she kept needing for him to tell her how he feels is the same reason that Peyton does it now!!! if anyone can remember, the speech lucas gave to brooke on the beach was not because brooke found something of peyton’s, it was because that is how he truly felt and he wanted her to know that he was there for her. if people think that in was the seaosn 2 finally speech, it was not because of peyton’s stuff it was because she was leaving and he wanted to tell her before she left, because she was slipping away. The 2 speechess are for sure the one in season 2 finale ( 2×23) and the rain scene in s3 ( the wind that blew my heart away). the one in season 2 she ask him why he kept the Peyton box he tells her is for a reminder of how much he screw things up with Brooke… RIIIIGHT ! then in season 3 they fight cause she found out he wrote the exact same words to Peyton last year cause she found the letter he wrote to Peyton in the Peyton box again. SO I stick with my theory that EVERYTIME LUcas make embarassing speecheess to either Lindsay or Brooke it’s cause of ; something they found like a peyton box or a letter in the peyton box or a peyton ring box. lol

lol totally agree Alyssa… i just don’t see what the big deal with the speeches is. If you’re a Brucas fan, and you like to hold onto those speeches that he gave Brooke over 5 years ago, then more power to you. and Honey, to answer your question, i for one don’t really know exactly which speeches Lucas is referring to, i’ve just never really cared enough to think about it lol. but like Alyssa said, since those speeches, Lucas has proposed to Peyton twice, and has written two books concerning his love for Peyton…. so that’s all i need! and Melinda, again, i don’t care if you think i’m rude

totally agree, lau! Peyton has been the only girl that HASN’T NEEDED that reassurance from Lucas that he loves her. Brooke and Lindsey on the other hand, they both knew that their relationships with Lucas were threatened by Lucas’ feelings for Peyton, and that is why Brooke begged for those “embarrassing speeches”, and that is why Lucas rushed into his wedding with Lindsey, to try and bury his true feelings for Peyton… only to have Lindsey leave him at the altar because his true feelings came out

Guys I think we need to calm down. we all have our opinions and we should respect eachother. my opinion on the speeches are the season 2 final and the rain scene. but i dont think the season 2 finally was embarrassing. i think when lucas means embarrassing he means vulnerable and putting himself out there. if i clearly remember in season 2 brooke and him hugged then he went for the kiss. there was nothing to do with peyton. brooke was confused because she thought the lucas had feelings for peyton, it was not like the rain scene when he is comparing brooke and peyton. “i want to be with you, not Peyton” my favorite line.

HAHA P Sawyer you’re right! I forgot to add embarrassing in that quote lol. Lucas always seemed to struggle with relaying his “love” for Lindsey and Brooke.
Lucas always had trouble letting people in except for Peyton. Brooke explained that when she broke down in front of Luke before the toasts at Naley’s second wedding. She wanted him to let her all the way in but he couldn’t … it was the same story for Lindsay in season 5. In fact, IMO the only reason why Lindsey knew anything about his life wasn’t because he opened up and told her about it, it was because she was the editor of his AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL book. I find it hard to imagine Lucas talking to her about his past, because it has always been hard for him to talk to people. If Lucas wasn’t a writer Lindsey would never have known anything important about him.
Just to add more about the speeches, I don’t quite understand; I thought when he said “I have made exactly two of these embarrassing speeches….” he was talking about both of the other speeches I have already posted about. I mean, he was saying that DURING the rain speech, I don’t see why he would include that in the tally.

i don’t really think Peyton ever needed reassurance from Lucas. i mean sure, she always wanted to be loved by him throughout high school… but when they’re together as a couple, she never really comes out and says “do you really want to be with me?”, and “why do you love me?”, and “say bad things about Brooke or Lindsey”. i don’t think Peyton ever really needed any of that with Lucas, because she was always secure enough with Lucas’ feelings for her

Anyhoo, when BL were a couple Brooke was constantly second guessing and doubting Lucas’s love which, BTW, is a great testiment to the fact that LP never died even throughout season 2 and 3.

Actually I have to disagree, it looked like he was more pissed of that brooke went telling
Haley (so she would be on her side) that Lucas and Peyton have kiss again but she didn’t mention that it was at the school shooting and she was bleeding to dead. Cause she knew Haley reaction would have been different.
Lucas was angry with the fact that Brooke could go tell Haley something like that without telling her when and how it happened. That is why he went to see her and he saw the way she was acting he took the words back. Cause he realize she wasn’t the girl he fell in love at the end of season 2.
Yes carline it suck that he said that to Brooke but in the end he had to take them back it was is way of telling her he is done.

Well the only thing i want to say about Luke taking back what he said is that I felt so bad for him during that whole thing. Here is this girl that he cared about and he was breaking his heart in that scene. I hated how when Luke said I “but you never fought for me” and then Brooke was like “yeah, and I’m not going to.” I thought that was terrible. Brooke always wanted Luke to open up and tell her how he felt but she couldn’t do the same thing?

Honey, I do kind of wish they would bring that whole thing to light, but not because it would bring closure for Brucas or anything; but we would see Lucas’s reaction to just how much pain he has caused BP friendship. He never really pressed on why B was so hell bent on not talking to P through the wedding and why they had a falling out. I tihnk if he found out now he would see just what Peyton was talking about when she said “I have been holding this in for a really long time” and all that when she told him that she still loved him. I don’t think in that moment Luke realised just how long she felt that way.

It was more of Peyton wanting to know that all the pain she went through was justified, like if the tables were reversed Lucas would do the same thing. But, it’s different Lucas didn’t get as jealous as he would have had Peyton and him not been together when he found out about Peyton. Peyton knows that Lucas loves her, he tells her, but Brooke and Lindsey always needed clarification from him.

Kellie, I left for awhile cause I didn’t think there was anything left to say, I told you I was over it, so I don’t why you still had to reply. I don’t know what you mean when you said “whatever if you like being like that then go for it.” Being like what exactly? And I don’t think you understood what I meant when I said “flip it around”. What I was trying to say was pretend like someone told you to “ask me like an adult”, how would that feel? And again this is all silly, it’s not a big deal so please don’t try to make the situation worse if/when you see this tomorrow or whatever. We don’t need to fight about it anymore. If you decide to comment back keep in mind that I’m not looking for a fight, I never meant to offend you, and I have already explained why I used “WTF” and that it wasn’t used in a negative way, it’s just how I talk with my friends.

For the wanting them to bring the “why Brooke really broke up with Lucas” scenario wouldn’t make a difference to where things are at right now. IMO, For one, I think Brooke justify her and Lucas break-up at the time. Whereas Lucas was looking dumbfounded at the situation not knowing his actions he brought upon them. And two, Lucas already knew Peyton loved him waaay before him and Brooke broke up (even before Peyton told Brooke). He just blocked it and was afraid to admit it, cause it would hurt Brooke. So how would this change anything?

P.Sawyer… i wasn’t trying to be rude when i said “deal?”… i was just saying that as far as what’s appropriate to talk about on this site, we’ll just have to agree to disagree. i don’t necessarily think my reaction was uncalled for… because i had at least 4 people get on here and agree with what i said. so several people are annoyed with it, not just me.
i still stand by everything i said, but all i was trying to get across last night was i’m sorry if it came out the wrong way. i still think it’s a pain in the ass to have to skip over all of your alls personal convos… but i’ll do that, because like i said, i can’t live without this site haha. SO… i wasn’t trying to be mean! i was just saying you all do your thing and i’ll try my best to overlook it. i wasn’t trying to say you need my permission or anything like that.

FYI Lindcas fan, I didn’t said you were rude by saying deal I never said that and I don’t think you were rude by saying that. I was just telling you if you were waiting for someone to tell you deal. I wasn,t going to be the one to say it cause there is no deal to make. You do whatever you want read our comments don’t read them, I’m still going to sleep at night whatever you decide.
