excuse me i have a question: we all know that mark wants leyton for endgame(nooooooooo i want brucas!!!!!!!!!!!) so why did he write for lucas”I’m the guy for you brooke davis” and for brooke “lucas is the one for me” do those words mean nothing to him?!!!? I really don’t understand and I really hope brucas is end game cause they are meant to be as it was said the past season what do you think guys ?

Brooke looks gorgeous like usual. And the Chase and Mia relationship came out of the blue, but I’m happy for them, they look cute together. I just wish they gave us some Nathan, Haley, Lucas and Peyton Episode Stills. Maybe they will give us some later, and right now their just trying to torture us.

am i the only one that has a feeling that they are in some way bringing Chase back for Brooke? i mean think about it, what on earth would be the point of Chase randomly coming back this season, and for like 2 episodes during season 5, if there wasn’t going to be SOME reason for it later down the road. and Brooke is really the only connection that he has to the show… i don’t know. i just think it’s just weird how they keep bringing him back if him and Brooke are really done…

LeytonTLA, he could be there for Owen.. but I really doubt it. Since Brooke will have some relationship issues in 6.15, I’m still totally lost on how out the blue that Brooke/Owen SL in 6.12 was. Maybe she will have a dream!

Chase is probably back so he can help Owen. He is his best friend (or something) so maybe he’ll have a talk with Brooke trying to convince her to forgive Owen, which is totally lame btw … I think this is why Chase is back + the fact that Mark is addicted bringing characters back to the show

i dont understand why chase would go for Mia when its pretty obvious the last time we saw him that he had feelings for brooke. Chase was supposed to be there for brooke and now hes macing on Mia. My basic thought was that if season 6 was the last one Leyton would be the end-game , but if we got another season things could change and give us some hope for Brucas.
Last time I heard from a little bird that we may expect season 7, so I’ve still got hope. Maybe you are right … the movie could bring some things back and take some things back.

omg I ‘ve just seen on youtube a video which shows when lucas tells peyton that his book will be published and she thinks it’s the comet but lucas says no it’s ravens and I’m so happy because when he says ravens he looks at brooke as if the book has something to do with her(I know it does!)and I think this look meant a lot if marks does that for nothing well I definetly don’t understand him (sorry for my bad english lol)

yeah … speaking about Lucas. It’s time for his 3rd scene(or 4th) with Brooke this season, but I just keep asking myself what’s up with Peyton; does she has cancer? and if she does, is it dangerous? or is she just pregnant? or is it a combination.
The problem is that killing a main character is dangerous, but a baby or marriage is even dangerous. That’s like BAM, the show is done … either it’s cancer that could kill Peyton or a baby that will put a line behind “couple-wars” it’s both complicated, so my guess is a miscarage (= total cliche), but I’m ready for Mark to surprise me again

I think so it’s dangerous to kill peyton and I don’t think it will end the issues lucas has to realize that he still love brooke more than peyton ( a deep hope) cause if she dies a part of his heart will always be with her whereas if lucas wants brooke back it would be better and another thing, I find it really strange that during the end of the seson past brucas had so much cute scenes and this season nothing just two or four scenes I hope something is hidden behind that

all words from Mark! if those words don’t tell you that Brucas is over… then more power to you i guess. but i think these words are pretty self explanitory (as well as his writing in the show). at this point i think it would be way too hard for Mark to successfully undo all the damage that has already been done to Brucas. for Brucas to reunite now or in the future would be WAY too much of Lucas jumping back and forth.
i mean we’ve seen TWO books about Lucas’ LOVE for Peyton, three different proposals to girls other than Brooke (two of those being to Peyton), Brooke is clearly Leyton’s #1 fan, and now Peyton is supposedly pregnant. if you ask me, Brucas reuniting after all of this wouldn’t make any sense at all… and i think Mark would have a very hard time pulling that off successfully. but that’s just me! GO LEYTON

My thoughts? If Peyton is indeed pregnant (and it looks like she is) and/or if this wedding happens, then it will be pretty hard to bring BL back together again.
Mark and Company have taken LP TOO far.
I don’t see Lucas getting Peyton pregnant and then leaving her for Brooke, having your fiance miscarriage and then leaving her for Brooke, or LP getting a divorce/calling off the engagement and then having Lucas end up with Brooke. I really don’t see it happening.
But, that’s just my opinion.
You guys can have your own hopes. I like BL too and I enjoyed them throughout the latter part of season two and a big chunk of season three. So, I’m not one of those BL haters trying to bring BLers down. These are just my two cents on the whole LP/BL endgame scenario.
I kind of agree with LeytonTLA too. Marks words are something to consider.

Anyway, moving along, I want to comment on the actual topic. The stills look great, but Brooke is only one I care about. Chase and Mia are secondary characters so I’d rather see a still of NH or LP, or them individually.

my whole thing with Mark’s words is… we ALL know that Mark is NOT the type of guy that likes to give stuff away. so for him to FINALLY say in a few different interviews that Brucas is romantically over, that’s a pretty big deal. if he knew in his head that he still wanted to explore Brucas, or the triangle, then he wouldn’t be telling us something as big as “the triangle is romantically over”. he wouldn’t just flat out tell us that if it wasn’t true.
i think Mark has just finally reached a point where he knows that it’s time for Lucas to settle down with someone, and he clearly doesn’t see a problem anymore with telling us which couples are over (Brucas), and which ones he still wants to “explore” (Leyton)

hope is great. i know that if the roles were reversed, there would probably be nothing that would make me stop hoping for Leyton. but at the same time, i would also try to not get my hopes up too high either, or dwell on them too much… because it could just make it harder on you in the end if your hopes don’t come true, you know?
normally i would say, it’s Mark… anything is possible. but lately it just seems like there is just one thing coming after another, that makes Brucas seem more and more over. Peyton getting two proposals was already big, but now that she is pregnant, i feel like that just put the icing on the cake for Leyton. Mark can ONLY take on challenges so big you know?
i personally think that Brucas getting together after Leyton being engaged, and Peyton getting pregnant by Lucas would just be a challenge too big for Mark. again though, this is just my Leyton-fan view on the whole thing.

Okay, take this into consideration
-One Tree Hill was originally planned as a movie. So whatever storylines that were planned out in the movie are obviously in the show. So the results of the series will be like the conclusion of the movie, and the Pilot was a bit like the over all summary of the movie,
Brooke wasn’t even in the Pilot.

Sorry, Peyton is pregnant, she is having Lucas’ baby and they are creating the family they always wanted. That is the nail in the coffin in any other pairing but Lucas and Peyton. I hear the pounding of the nails. And after you see the episode on January 5 it will be very clear that it is Lucas and Peyton and it will always be Lucas and Peyton and now it will be Lucas and Peyton and baby. An unbreakable bond as far as Lucas as concerned.
I was watching OTH on Soapnet today and it was the season four ep where Lucas was trying to convnice Derek to see Peyton. And Lucas said “How can you turn your back on your flesh and blood?” Lucas will never turn his back on his child and he has also created a bond with Peyton he will never turn his back on either.

Anyway Chase is kind of insignificant to the show, the only way he would become imp. is if he and brooke will get togeher, but I don’t see that happening because Owen is chase best frined and remember in HS Chase moved to TH high to get away from his friend best who slept with his girl friend, so I doubth he would try to mess with Brooke knowing Owen likes her so much. And I don’t think BO is completely over yet.

yes lila i agree with you, it DOES matter what Lucas says in the show… and JUST like he said “i’m the guy for you Brooke Davis”, he also said “i’m NOT the guy for you Brooke Davis”. Brucas fans always seem to conveniently forget to mention that quote. and as far as destiny goes… Lucas ALSO said “the realization that we had ALWAYS BEEN MEANT FOR EACHOTHER…” about PEYTON!
and Mark’s words DO matter, because his words tell us his vision that he has for his show, which has always been Leyton. even aside from his words… i think his actions make it pretty clear that Leyton is the endgame couple too. yeah you can talk all about what Mark did in seasons 2 and 3.. but that is in the past.
Mark hasn’t done anything since then that has shown any romantic connection between Brucas… nothing. what Mark is doing with the show NOW, is in Leyton’s favor… not Brucas’

The first time “destiny” was mentioned in my knowledge was when Lucas was about to play his first game at school in 1.02
“Whitey: Lucas relax, Destiny has a way of finding you.” Which also kinda parallel with the Gus/Lucas convo in 6.01. And who comes to him in both situations? Peyton!
I think that says all right there. Not some Blind-folded Basketball shot that he already know he can make. Being that he knows every square inch of that court. But thats just my opinion on the “destiny” scenarios.

BL was a cute highschool couple, but they lacked chemistry, even when he was dating Brooke, he was always there for Peyton. Leyton is destin to be together. Okay, am not saying this in any wrong way, but BL had a nice relationship to the fanbase it was beautiful, and I don’t dismiss what they “use to” have, and I found on, just like others I know did, but that’s just it. It’s in the past just like we all know about S2/S3. But like a tv show anything can happen, but with how LP have been written in S4-S6, it’s a deep, deep, deep, deep hole to crawl out of and I don’t believe Mark can do it or even wants to do it. With how BL were written in S2/S3, it wasn’t impossible to write about LP getting together because the writing/undertone for LP was always there in S3/S4 I’ll admit to that. Ones you rewatch the season, it because clear..
S4-S6 there isn’t for BL that’s the big difference between the two relationships. In that cliffhanger it was wtf and totally obvious it was for cliffhanger purpose. But what I’m trying to say is that after Lucas basically erased BL relationship in just one simple quote, I don’t know how believable it would be after that. After both Lucas and Brooke throughout S5 and S6 because said what they had was in the past and LP are/will always be it.
I don’t know how you come back from that, and to tell you truth I don’t know why BLers even want that. Brooke to me deserves better then that, she doesn’t even care anymore. I believe she completely moved on and it’s beyond obvious in Season 5 and more so obvious in S6.
All I’m saying is that as a Brooke fan I wouldn’t want her to go back to being insecure and back to HS years of doubt,etc.. This Brooke is confident/successful (even if she doesn’t have COB. I know she will be successful again that’s just who she is)/Foster Mother/ maybe adopt, etc…
This Brooke has so much going for her. And I believe if she’s goes backwards it will just be HS over again. Because lets not look only at the good in the BL relationship there was always bad/unhealthy bad and I don’t want Brooke back to that place. She’s moved on and is looking for that love again, and if Julian is the person great. If she finds someone else am all for it. But if she just ends up being a Foster mother and mother adopting a baby. I’ll be happy, because that’s what she wants. She doesn’t want Lucas and that obvious for the past 2 season. She’s a new women happy and confident with what she has. Brooke is over all that crap, and I for one will be happy, because she deserves better.

Like I said before let the brucas fans keep their hopes. if lucas was with brooke, as a leyton fan I think I would feel the same way they do. and am not saying I have not said things against Brucas in the past we all bash each other LP & BL. But I realize leyton is together right now so I don’t need to bash anymore, I know sometimes its hard not to respond to some of the comments on here coming from both LP/BL fans. But whatever its all good.
Anyway, I will keep my hope too and hope leyton is endgame

All signs point to an LP endgame.
Maybe I’m blind or stupid or maybe even both, but honestly, I don’t see where it’s possible for BL to ever happen again (and I’m not just saying this because I’m an LP fan). I know that my post won’t change anyone’s mind but I’m going to state why I can’t see them happening (not trying to bring the other ship or couple down, I’m just stating some solid reasons why I don’t see how it’s possible.).
- Lucas has hurt Brooke too many times (cheating, not really opening up to her, picking Peyton over her multiple times (going to see Ellie, State championship),….). Brooke deserves better than being a
consolation prize (Actually I’m surprised that ppl want her to be w/ someone that has hurt her so much. I want her to be with someone that would never hurt her the was Luke has). Anyways, who really wants to see Brooke insecure again, now that she has grown so much?
-Brooke knows how much in love Peyton is w/ Lucas, she wouldn’t betray her best friend. All she wants is for Peyton to be happy. If BL happened again, it would be the absolute end of Breyton’s friendship, which Brooke wouldn’t want to happen. Actually, none of the core’s friendships would ever be the same.
-Brooke is an LP fan…
-She, herself, said that it sucks being the ‘Lindsey’ in between Lucas and Peyton.
- Lucas proposed to Peyton (twice), he never proposed to Brooke.
- Lucas didn’t want the life that he thought he would have w/ her if they married. Lucas Davis-Scott (or however it was).
-Peyton’s pregnant. Do you think she’d want to really be involved w/ her bff baby daddy?

For what it’s worth, Brooke might be cute with Julian and if he proves to be a good guy, I’d be for it. I hope Brooke doesn’t end up with Chase, I have a problem with the actor that plays him and his character is boring too. Owen is kind of blah too. Seriously, Brooke needs better guys because Chase and Owen aren’t cutting it.
This whole Mia/Chase thing is WEIRD. But they do look cute together.

wow … a lot of great comments are posted here while I was sleeping.
It just seems so funny to me when Mark says “I don’t want to ignore that huge Brucas fan base, I think it’s dangerous to ignore them” and he gives us just 3-4 scenes. lol so what’s his next step? Ow yeah that’s right, a cute Leyton baby cause now I feel that you have been thinking about me all the time. Like what the hell happened they are not romantically involved anymore, they are just friends!? Even Brathan have been closer this season than Brucas and then you don’t want me to feel ignored?
As much as I thought after season 5 finale that there is a possibility for Brucas to come back, I have to admit that there isn’t anything between them right now, which is very disapointing and I’m begging to see some changes in next episodes. If you order another season I also expect so see some great story lines as well cause I wouldn’t want to see Peyton become the new Haley, who hasn’t had any story lines like for ever.
As getting my hopes up too high or dwell on them too much … and fall down really hard I’m actually not afraid cause even if I wasted 6-7 years hoping for Brucas, I’ll always have Naley to satisfy my rejections

I think Chase is really good looking and I had hoped to see he and Brooke together again. I am not sure about the Chase/Mia relationship, but I am ready to give it a try.
I wonder why everytime they show Brooke, we go back to a Brucas and Peyton discussion.
I have said this before, but I will say it again.
You can have hope, but at some point you either have to recognize what is on screen and move on or continue to be disappointed.
Based on most of season 4, 5 and so far 6, the story has been clearly about Lucas and Peyton. I think when Mark says he does not want to ignore Brucas fans, he means he will have them in scnenes together, but I think that is where it stops.
I think that Lucas and Peyton deserve to have their shot at happiness. I think the only challenges they will face going forward will be adjusting to marriage and parenthood. I think they should have what Naley has, a family unit that works together to make their lives the best it can be.
I think Brooke FINALLY deserves her own new love interest, someone that challenges her and makes her happy. She was never truly happy with Lucas, and she always felt like second best. I hope they give her a pairing (even if it is Julian) that makes her life more exciting and fulfilled.
It is time to move beyond the triangles and focus on stories that challenge these people as adults. JMO!

Well, I am not a writer or producer of the show but I interviewed the director for 613 Michael Leone – the full interview will run January 6. And this is his feelings on Lucas and Peyton -
I feel that Chad and Hilarie, the Lucas and Peyton characters, have a really nice chemistry. I mean, there have been times in our show the love affairs skip around so much, I don’t always feel they have the right chemistry, that it’s always as believable as it would be in real life. But I do feel this year that the Lucas and Peyton characters are very believable and they are both very committed to making it, you know, wonderful for the audience in a way that is truly believable and something they have been waiting on for a long time. Terrific opportunity and they made it really easy for me.

I am a massive brucas fan and i still feel there is hope because …
1) I truly believe that Brooke only loves and has always just loved Lucas and that’s why she does not find anyone else. Lucas was her first and only ever real love. I truly believe that she split with him season 3 to let Peyton have him cause she always thought he loves peyton more than her… Therefore she wanted him to be happy and mainly wanted to prevent herself some heartbreak later in life. At that point, Lucas was madly in love with Brooke put she basically push him away…
2) Idem when lucas wanted to kiss brooke after peyton turned down his first wedding proposal, brooke pushed him away but then she looked a bit “funny” when she returned to Victoria’s and if you remember that’s “she says” that same night she decided to go into business with Victoria… She always used work to protect herself from heartache…
I am sure that Brooke loves Lucas but always hide it so he can be happy with peyton.
Now if peyton is pregnant but has difficulties, i think that brooke will be there for her. Lucas will be there too. And I like to think that this situation will bring them closer and make Brooke face her true feelings. Lucas could also realise there is still something between them. If you remember it’s when they both looked after peyton in season 1 that Lucas saw something in Brooke he never saw before…

Okay, sorry I just gotta say one more thing, I know they mentioned this is one episode, but it is all true.
Through Highschool, Lucas kept his feelings for Peyton inside so he wouldn’t ruin the great friendship they had. (Same as the Karen/Keith situation.) ex. Episode 3×17.
Lucas-I do love you Peyton, But there is another girl named Brooke Davis, and I am madly in love with her.
Case and point, just because you love some one doesn’t mean you’re going to get married.
Watching that library scene, makes me see the true love they have for eachother.

He only confirms what I have felt since these characters where introduced. They have an ease and comfort that you just have not seen with the others and their friendship and love is undeniable.
I think the marriage and the pregnancy is a done deal and I suspect Brooke will be there all the way to support her best friend Peyton. Peyton spent how many years regretting saying NO to Lucas and has made it clear that Lucas is the love of her life. I can safely say that Lucas feels the same way. The only way I can see Brucas back, would be IF Peyton died. Anyway, I just remember late in season 4 when Brooke invited Lucas to the Awards dinner and their conversation when he brought her home.

“Lucas don’t hate me Ok, but I think this was a mistake”

“so do I”

I’m not trying to step on anyone’s hopes here. You’re free to have them just as MANY lp fans had them those two seasons Brooke and Lucas were together.
Lila, lp fans were asking themselves the same questions BL fans are now when Lucas suddenly decided to persue Brooke in season two. Remember “Brooke is great, but I have to be with you” and “I want everything with you” directed at Peyton? Everything he said to Peyton seemed to have been forgotten, but we have to remember that he never took any of the things he said to her back like he did with Brooke.
BL fans love quoting “I’m the guy for you Brooke Davis” but forget that he also said, “I was wrong. I’m not the guy for you.”
Brooke has even told Peyton that Lucas was meant to be with Peyton. She is one of their number one cheerleaders. Hell she’s making Peyton’s wedding dress. She jumped up and down and squealed when she and Haley realized they were in Vegas together.
BL fans feel like they are entitled to more BL scenes, but the fact is they are just friends and really great friends so why waste time with scenes like that because a certain fanbase feels like they deserve it? Lucas and Brooke make far better friends than lovers, unless people think that being insecure in a relationship is a great way to be. And what about the HUGE Haley fanbase and Naley fanbase who have gotten scraps this season? They deserve more screentime than BL.
For BL to get back together and to keep Brooke from looking like a hypocrite Peyton would have to die or suddenly decide she doesn’t want Lucas and the latter option is unlikely.
Lucas’s first book is obviously going to have a lot of Brooke in it because she was his girlfriend and one of his first loves for most of high school. If anything the significance would be the rockiness between them and his cheating on her with Peyton that will be splashed across the big screen when his movie is made.
BL fans need to remember there are two huge fanbases who want Lucas to be with two different people and both have been in this position. One is no more deserving than the other. You can qoute all the things Lucas has said to Brooke all day and LP fans can throw quotes right back. At the end of the day Lucas asked Peyton to marry him twice and laid his relationship with Brooke to bed in high school.
While I think BL getting back together is highly unlikely there is nothing wrong with people hoping.

I gotta say, that is the one thing that I can’t stand about this show, lol. I used to go on the CW forum all the time and I avoid it like the plague now because people on there are so hurtful and immature. Arguing is fine, but no one on there argues like adults. It just gives off such bad vibes that it almost makes me want to throw up my hands and watch Heroes at 9 instead of OTH.
I also find it kind of frightening that so many people consider the BL relationship true love-and I mean no offense here, so please do not take it that way.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I feel that many of the BL fans are too young to realize that what BL had, while it had its great moments and they do make a physically attractive couple, was very much an adolescent relationship and a relationship that was unhealthy and would not have lasted if they were adults and Brooke was the person she is now on the show-A woman who respects herself too much to continue on in a relationship where she is unsure of herself and her place in her mate’s life and most importantly heart.
Even LP fans who try to justify LP cheating in season one bothers me. For entertainment purposes, one can consider it a bit romantic, but the passion with which fans defend their ships makes it seem as though they take their opinions far outside the realm of ‘television reality’ if you will.
Furthermore, Lucas is no prize in my opinion. I am a lp fan, but if Lucas Scott was a real person I can’t imagine anyone wanting to date let alone marry the guy, lol.

totally agree Ella! BL fans seem to forget that us Leyton fans have already had our turn at being disappointed. a lot of them are quick to play the victims, as far as their couple being shafted… but us Leyton fans have already been there. it’s our turn to be happy, and enjoy our couple for once.
BL fans have had their MULTIPLE seasons, but they can’t expect to have them all. Brucas’ love/connection ultimately failed in the end… it just didn’t last. that’s life, it happens all the time when you’re in a high school relationship. and at the end of the day Mark has TWO huge fanbases that he has to please… not just one. he’s already explored Brucas to no end, and given Brucas fans their multiple seasons of their couple. but there was nowhere left for him to go with Brucas, their relationship had taked it’s course. it’s Leyton’s turn

i never really watched oth faithfully i just saw the school shooting epi but i didnt watch it after that. N e way i got bored one summer n watched oth from the beginning. i knew it was going to be lp from the first epi but i was still impartial to all the couples. i will admitt brucas had their moments n they had passion n all that jazz but wat leyton had/has went deeper and it is deeper than what brucas had. brucas had great chemistry but they lacked that soulmate type connection that leyton has so thats how i know it will always be leyton yea brucas has their time but its over n i believe we all knew it was coming it was inevitable really. i wouldnt want brooke to be with lucas n e way he didnt give her all of him but she gave him all of her. she deserves to be with someone who gives all of himself to her i think. i like peyton but if lucas treated peyton like he treated brooke i wouldn’t want her to be with him. thats just my opinion

Ok, I have been watching OTH since it started. The only reason Brucas were together was of there real life marriage. Once They got divorced, Sophia Bush said she did not want to ever do a romantic seen again with Chad, because it was to uncomfortable. Sorrt Brucas fans, it is not going to happen. I have to say that I am a huge Leyton fan, and it is really dissapointing that there are not enough love scenes with them. They were great ones in season 4 when they were high school, but now when they are older and about to get married NOTHING!! And all I have to say about peyton, is she better be preggers, I am so tired of nothing happy happening. A miss carriage would be horrible, but at the same time I thing would bring them closer. I guess we will soon find out. I am probaly the oldest person that watches OTH, it is really a show that I am obsessed with. My husband just makes fun of me.

Well if you look comments in beginning of this post, they were almost all by Brucas-fans who were talking how Brucas should be together again and what “signs” they have seen in the show. Of course Leytoners defend their couple. So I wouldn’t say that Leytoners started this stuff just because there is picture of Brooke in this post…
But I’m not going to fight about that stuff, let’s just be fans of the couples we love and wait what will happen in this season and in 7th season if it’s coming. I hope that Lucas and Peyton will be together till the end of this show and that they are going to have baby and stuff. But that’s what I hope and what I’m looking for to see, I’m just hoping anyone wouldn’t be bashing anyone elses wishes so badly.

it was clear that Lindsey was a rebound for Lucas… just based on the timing of them getting together (right after Lucas thought Peyton didn’t show up to the book signing is when they went on their first date), AND based on the fact that Lucas himself made his feelings that he still had for Peyton obvious (by KISSING HER, telling her “he’s not good enough for you”, always looking at the wedding ring that he proposed to her with, and countless other signs that he gave us that he wasn’t over Peyton.)
so while it was made clear that Lindsey was a rebound… i don’t see how we can consider Chase a rebound for Brooke… when Lucas was never brought up in Brooke and Chase’ relationship… he didn’t fit in there anywhere. we saw NO signs that Brooke rushed into a relationship with Chase because she was hurt by Lucas, and we saw NO signs of her feelings for Lucas once she was in that relationship with Chase. therefore… no signs of him being a rebound.. in my opinion

i don’t understand why everyone keeps saying that us Leyton fans have said that Leyton IS endgame. we may have talked about reasons why we THINK that they are endgame… but no one knows who is going to for sure be endgame. all we’ve done is list examples from the show, and Marks words as reason why we THINK they are/should be endgame. i don’t think anyone has ever said that they for sure WILL BE, because there’s no way for anyone to possibly know that. and it’s not just Leyton fans either, there have been many many BRUCAS fans that have admitted that they even think that Leyton is going to be endgame.
i understand having hope and faith or whatever, but at some point you have to be realistic and accept the show for what it really is. and at this point no one can deny that it IS looking like that Leyton is going to be endgame. my point is that atleast us Leyton fans have REASONS to say that Leyton will probably be endgame. there aren’t even any examples of how Chase could be a rebound for Brooke, we atleast have reasons that support what we say. that’s all i’m saying

i understand what you’re saying, but again, just because all of that happened between Lucas and Brooke in high school, i don’t think that means that Lucas will FOREVER be the one for Brooke, or that everyone else she dates will be a rebound. yeah Lucas and Brooke have a history together, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t move on from that, and i think they have. i think their official split in season 4 after the bball banquet was as good of closure for them romantically as you can get.
Brooke realized that Lucas and Peyton were the ones that should be together, and Lucas and Brooke both realized and acknowledged that the love just wasn’t there anymore between them. so Lucas finally gets with Peyton, because he knows that he won’t be hurting anybody by doing it… and then Brooke starts MOVING ON (which has to happen at some point), and started dating Chase. the fact that she just moved on to someone else doesn’t make him a rebound, i don’t think.

i think that a lot of Brucas fans would like to THINK of Chase as a rebound, but we don’t really have any evidence from the show that supports that. i’m sure it’s hard for Brucas fans to accept that Brooke CAN move on, and be happy, and fall in love with someone other than Lucas, but it did happen… and i’m sure it will happen again. we’ve never seen that Lucas and Peyton can COMPLETELY move on from eachother, and totally give their hearts to another person. with every realtionship that they have been in, their feelings for eachother always end up resurfacing. we haven’t seen that with Lucas and Brooke. they dated, they broke up, they moved on to other people, then that was it

see when i saw that scene… with Brooke looking at their pictures… i took that as Brooke reflecting back on them, and acknowledging that at that point, it was over, and all in the past. she was giving herself closure, by looking at those pictures and realizing that what they had at ONE TIME was great, but that it was clearly over. when she shut the photo album, i viewed that as she was shutting the book on Brucas, they were over. that speech about love that Whitey was giving clearly wasn’t describing the love between Brucas, i think everyone knows that. “a love so strong that nothing, or no one can come between it”… that’s describing the love between Leyton, not Brucas

Up until this point aside from the one or two inappropriate comments made by one lp fan this HAD been one of the most civil LP/BL discussions I’d read, until you two started in.
First of all no matter who is being discussed initially both BL fans and LP fans have this strange ability to turn the conversation into an argument about which ship is better. Have you ever been on the CW forum? Peyton fans can start a thread there about how awesome they think Peyton is, 2 or 3 brucas fans will come on and talk about how sucky Peyton is and what a horrible friend she is and five minutes later it turns into an all out couples war.
Even when BL was together BL fans were constantly defending their ship. Both parties have cause to be insecure and I call BS on you two pretending to laugh over LP silliness when BL fans do it all the time and sometimes worse.
Hannah, I don’t know if you’ve ever been cheated on or have had the other woman be your best friend but both situations are the worst possible situation you can find yourself in when you are dating someone. You can say Lucas was worse to Peyton by listing all those ridiculous scenerios; Lucas calling Jake because he didn’t want to deal with Peyton’s problems? Please. You know what that situation was about and if that is the way you were interpreting it than you have not been watching the same show the rest of us have and you are being petty because you are angry or whatever.
The fact of the matter is Lucas and Peyton were never together when any of what you listed happened.
Cheating on your girlfriend with her best friend however is a pretty crappy way to treat your girlfriend and no matter how much you compare everything Lucas did to hurt Peyton to what he did to hurt Brooke, at the end of the day Brooke was too insecure in that relationship for it to have lasted forever.
You guys like to laugh about how LP fans will ignore what you have said in the next 15 minutes or whatever, yet you admit to barely skimming the comments that LP fans have written. So, If you don’t want to listen to us, why should we listen to you?
On the same lines I have both read and written many solid arguments for the LP ship over the years and those posts are studiously ignored for the comments made by LP fans who aren’t quite as mature just so BL fans can continue on with their negative opinions.

Back to the topic at hand. Sophia Bush always looks stunning. And what is up with Chase and Mia? They are two secondary characters, neither of whom I find particularly interesting, so why does it look like they are hooking up?
Why is Mark straying so far from the core 5? I understand the need to bring in new characters to keep the show fresh and interesting, but when you can’t juggle the new faces while keeping the focus upon the 5 characters that made the show popular to begin with then, maybe it’s time to stop bringing in singers, reality show stars, and children to take up screentime.
Jamie does not need his own storylines. The kid is cute. I will give him that, but if I wanted to watch a show about children I’d go searching for some Seventh Heaven episodes.
Nathan and Haley need a storyline. The therapy was interesting, the fight they had at the beginning of season 5 was awesome and since then nada. There is so much Mark can explore with them. How many people get married in high school and stay that way after all.

I think that after the bball banquet it showed Brooke looking at the pictures but then it shows her closing the book. Maybe closing that chapter in her life. I like Brooke but you know if you go back and watch her and Rachel actually became pretty great friends and I think that even Rachel knew that Brooke and Lucas were not meant to be.

Ella, that is exactly why i’m hoping that this is the last season. because i feel like Mark is already running out of ideas for the core 5… which is why he is bringing in all of these secondary characters, and focusing so much on them. if he can’t think of enough storylines to give the core 5 now, how on earth is he going to be able to do it for a whole new season? these secondary characters are simply being brought in to fill up screen time, because Mark can’t think of any ways to do that anymore with the core 5. and to me, that’s not making me want any more seasons lol

I totally agree with Ella’s post and appreciate her fairness.
I believe everyone is entitled to their opinions and they should be respected (that applies to both sides). I won’t tell anyone to give up hope, but by the same token, I will not feel bad for being happy for my couple.
I think it is silly to speculate, since the story for now is Lucas and Peyton, and until we hear or see otherwise, any other pairing is irrelevant.
We should all enjoy the episodes that are coming up and not allow anyone to take away the excitement you feel. I am cautiously optimistic about how this plays out and based on the last few seasons it is clear where things are going. Until I am told otherwise I will remain enthused about this season and hopefully a seventh.

Midwest that’s the first thing that i thought of too when i heard about “the gift that Peyton has mixed feelings about”! i immediately thought about the ring that Lucas gave Lindsey. i was wondering if the news about Peyton being pregnant would finally modivate Lucas to make the engagement official, and give Peyton an engagement ring. i don’t know, we could very easily be wrong, but the ring is the first thing that i thought of too

I don’t know if Lucas would actually give Peyton “The Infamous Ring”, I think it would be insensitive, but I could see him giving her some ring. Either way I wonder if the idea of the ring makes her wonder if he only gave it to her because of the pregnancy. She did not need one before, I guess having one could bring up some insecurities in her. She is pregnant, those hormones make you think and do crazy things, lol.

I don’t hate on Brucas at all. I just think that they had enough time together in past seasons, and it is time for Lucas and Peyton to be together. It all started with him totally liking her to being with and her as well. the only reason why they did not continue was peyton did not want to hurt brook. So I think that both of them really want that chance again. Also in the 4th season after Whitey gave his speech. lucas and Brooke both said that they dont think they are right for each other for ever. And if they never changed anythig with the characters it would not of lasted 6 seasons. mark ahd to keep a audinece going to make it a successful show.

Jenna, who knows about the ring thing. i agree that it would be incredibley insensitive of Lucas to try and give Peyton that ring, but you never know. maybe Lucas won’t see it as such a big deal, because he knows that it was always intented to be Peyton’s ring anyway, not Lindseys. i have no clue though, the gift could very easily be something else, the ring is just the first thing that popped in my mind when i heard about it! can’t wait to find out what it is though…

Betty are you talking about those letters Brooke wrote to Lucas in high school during summer break? I’m not sure what kind of explanation you need. BL fans bring those letters up too and maybe I just wasn’t paying any attention or didn’t see the significance since I know plenty of people who did stuff like that back in high school.
I doubt those letters will be brought up again…you know since they are adults now and that happened in high school.

I think I’ve read somewhere that Mark told Blers something about 86 letters instead of 82. There were 4 letters missing and they were supposed to appear in 6th season. Pls dont ask me about the details cause I’ve read this a long time ago and dont remember it quite well

So I just can’t figure out if Peyton is really preggers? I see on the pictures that she is smiling, but I was looking at my comcast cable to see if they had a previews for the episode on the 12th, which is called “The hand to take of the scene” and it says that peytons’s friends learn about her condition. So if she is preggers, and we find that out on the 5th then I wonder why they would not say, peytons friends find out she is preganet, and not say condition. I really hope they have a baby. So cute, and that would be a great way to continue to season 7. I guess we shall see.

they are drifting away from the core 5 because some of the actors/actress contracts run out after season 6 sorry
