Yeah, seriously, I love the show SO much but would love it to end with 6×25. Why?
Because I dont think the show is as good as it was, and I’d hate to see something so brilliant end on a low, rather than the high it deserves.

- Haley has no SL
- Decent SL’s that have awesome potential are ended SUPER quick [Nate depression in S5, Brooke's attack, LPJ conflict] and SL’s that add nothing to the show get ridiculous amounts of screentime! Nanny Carrie, Skills & Deb, Jamie having his own story every episode that Haley is merely a prop to.
- No reference to old friendships; Paley, Pathan, Brucas, Skeyton – super close in S5, now not at all.
- Repeated storylines; this LP babysitting one, being the perfect example.

I adore the show, but I think 6 seasons is best, without dragging the show on and breaking up LP/NH for dramas sake, to then put them back together.

First off I just want to say how HAPPY I am with the Leyton baby storyline. This clip is soo cute. I pretty much hate season 6 … Probably as much as I hate season 4 ( not only because of Leyton but also some crappy storylines and non core 5 interaction) but even though i’m not ready to give up OTH.

Mena, i would think that the storyline of Peyton dieing and Brooke and Lucas getting together and raising Leyton’s baby would not only piss Leyton fans off, but i think it would piss Brucas fans off too. if the only reason that Brucas got together was because Peyton DIED? that would mean that Brooke was still Lucas’ SECOND choice, and that he was only settling for Brooke because Peyton would be gone. and the thought of Brooke and Lucas raising Leyton’s baby is just absurd lol. so i can’t see either fanbase being happy with that senario. BUT, i don’t think we have to worry about that, because Mark would never kill off Peyton

totally agree luvleyton! NO SEASON 7! i know it’s going to be painful for all of us for OTH to end, but i would rather it end on top than be dragged out JUST for the sake of more seasons. if Mark and the writers actually feel like we NEED more seasons, and that there are more NEW/IMPORTANT stories that need to be told… then great… bring on season 7. but i doubt that’s the case.

since they are already repeating storylines, i find it hard to believe that they could think of enough new storylines for a WHOLE new season, if they can’t even think of any for this season. i would rather it end now, then see it keep going and slowly start going downhill. as long as Leyton gets their happy ending this season, that’s all that i need

i’m sorry but i think the chances of Leyton splitting up at this point (whether we get more seasons or not), are slim to none. what on earth would be the point of the whole “pick one” storyline in the beginning of this season, if whoever Lucas picked wasn’t even going to last? i think it was made such a big deal because Lucas WAS finally picking the ONE girl that he’s going to be with, and stay with.

Mark wouldn’t have gone through the trouble of making all of season 5 a build up for Leyton to reunite… if he was JUST going to split them up again later down the road. i think Mark just keeps ADDING to the evidence of Leyton lasting… with the TWO books, TWO proposals, engagement, and NOW a baby. and even if Leyton didn’t work out in the end (which i highly doubt would happen), i think we all know that seeing Lucas with someone else just wouldn’t feel right at all at this point… and it wouldn’t make any sense, after everything that he has been through with Peyton

and i actually wouldn’t be surprised if Mark decided to throw us for a loop, and Make Leyton’s pregnancy go smoothly. in one of his interviews he said that he thinks the easiest way to surprise his audience would be to make Leyton “have a smooth road to the altar”… so maybe he’s going to surprise us, and leave Leyton drama free for once.

i mean think about it, BOTH pregnancies that we’ve seen in tree hill have had complications, or haven’t gone smoothly (Haley’s AND Karen’s). i think for Leyton’s pregnancy to have complications too would just be TOO much drama, and unrealistic. heaven forbid we get a smooth pregnancy for once lol

jess i’m with you on that 100%. i think the ONLY realistic thing for Leyton at this point would be to bring in some complications. things are going too well for them right now, and have been for a while. i think Mark knows that if things continue to be happy go lucky all the time with them, the audience is going to get bored with it. Leyton’s gonna have some pretty intense drama coming… i’m calling it!

Um…that’s not my only reason for wanting this to be the last season.

The stories are running slim.

They don’t even writer for Haley anymore.

Nathan has been doing the same basketball thing for what? 5 seasons now?!

I would rather the show go out without becoming like 90210 which ran too long if you ask me.

And yea as a Leytonfan I would like to keep them somewhat in tact. Heck, I would even take Peyton dying at birth and Lucas raising their child as long as there’s no Brucas. Lucas ending could be moving on and raising their child, someone else will come along down the line. Brooke could have her ending with Julian or whoever.

exactly essie… yeah Leyton is ONE reason that i would prefer this to be the last season… but they aren’t the ONLY reason. i think everyone has acknowledged the fact that the show as a whole would most likely start going downhill if it were to continue after this season. all of the storylines would start getting boring/repetitive i think. hell, they already are. so while Leyton has a little to do with me wanting this to be the last season (as it would for any fanbase of their couple were together)… that is definitely not the ONLY reason why i don’t want a season 7

I’m hoping that this is the last season, if there is a season 7 It will just drag on, and probably turn into the Lucas and Peyton show, if they do have this baby. As long as season 6 ends on a good note, and the finale has closure. I will be happy. I hope maybe they do a few month time jump or something before the finale so Peyton can have the baby, and we get to see them be parents for a little bit, but I don’t want another year of this, They’ve done just about all they can.

Love the scene, it is so funny an sweet. Kids do take it out of you, lol and the craving was perfect.

I am a Leyton fan and I would love a Season 7. Why can’t Lucas and Peyton be together and deal with the challenges of marriage and racing children as Naley has done.

I think if this were Brucas, fans of that couple would be thrilled to be having these moments. If you are only watching to see Brucas scenes you may bedissappointed, but you should give the show a chance and see what could come with the rest of the season.

I am excited to see Chad’s directorial debut, so far it looks good.

Ok! I understand that the show should end on a high, but I really hope there is season 7. If Peyton has a miscarriage then that will really suck. But if she has complications, but still has the baby then there needs to be a season 7, so they can show the birth. To all of you who do not want a season 7so it can end on a high note,then maybe this should just be the last season you watch and if season 7 comes out then dont watch it. I know that sounds bitchy, but I think season 7 should be the last. I think it might be hard to make good end for season 6 with all that is going on. There is to much with all the other characters still that have not been resloved. If this is the last season then I wish just once they would do a 2 hour finally. I have an idea as to what I think the surprise gift in episode 5x 15 is. I think that Lucas gets Peyton a “mama ride”. The Comet is obviously not safe, not to mention dependable, considering how many times it has broken down. I think that the reason that Peyton has mixed feelings about it is because the Comet is such a part of who she is and who Luke are as a couple. I think that she will end up keeping both. I actually kind of hope that’s what it is.

OMG!!! Cmn … ending on high note? Maybe this season has many viewers in America and this might be on of the best seasons for Leytonfans because of the reunion, but cmn! … Storylines are pretty crappy and Haley doesn’t have one, the interaction between main characters is gone, minor cast is stealing great part of precious screentime and drama left Tree Hill. Season 5 was much more fun to watch than this one. I’m not giving up hope for Tree Hill anyway soon cause it can end much better than now…

I don’t want to look back and feel responsible for a stupid mistake I made some day, when I said that maybe it was time for OTH to end cause I was tired of bad storylines. As long as it exists I’ll support it no matter what and if it ends I want at least to say that I did the best I can to save my favorite show.

Sorry, didn’t mean to be confusing. It is rumored that in episode 6.15 Peyton is unsure about a gift that Lucas gives her. The title of the episode is “We Change, We Wait”. I think that the gift that Lucas gives her is a new car (SUV, mini-van, etc.). Peyton has always been linked with her car, “The Comet”, and it is a huge part of who she is and who they are as a couple. I think that she will not know how she feels about that, which is why she is “unsure”. Hope that cleared up any confusion.

I feel as though the leyton fans that are saying they don’t want a S7 are worried that Leyton won’t be together in the end. But I am a leyton fan and I WANT a S7, of course Mark can drop a bomb on Leyton, but I think I’ll miss OTH too much if it weren’t to come back, I want to see my favorite characters again. I watched OTH every single season when Leyton werent togerther I can do it again because I love the show that much.

Any other thoughts on what the gift might be guys?

In addition ultimately its up to the Actors/Actrese, Mark and the Network to decide a S7.
IF the cast choose not to come back am pretty sure there reasons would be more important than ours so whatever happen happens, i’ll just find a new show to watch if it weren’t to return

i’m not worried at all about Leyton not lasting this time, even if we do get a season 7. they have come too far for Mark to just split them up again. and as others have said, seeing Lucas with anybody else just wouldn’t feel right or make any sense at this point. him and Peyton are in too deep and have been through way too much for Lucas to end up with anybody else (especially Brooke… no offense Brucas fans. but Lucas would never get together with Brooke now, after everything that he has been through with her best friend… and i doubt Brooke would want to get back together with him either).

but on a different note, LeytonTLA i TOTALLY thought the same thing about the gift! the ring was the very first thing that popped in my mind too!

exactly, which is why i think it would be fine from Lucas’ perspective for him to give it to her… but i can still see why Peyton could possibly have mixed feelings about it. i mean that’s still an insensitive thing for him to do. he never should have given it to Lindsey in the first place.. but then to try and give it BACK to Peyton after it’s already been Lindsey’s ring? i know that would tick me off lol

exactly, so in a way (atleast from Peyton’s view)… it’s almost as if he’s giving Peyton Lindsey’s ring. yeah it was always intended to be Peyton’s, but that’s not what happened. what ended up happening was Peyton never got the ring, Lindsey did. i don’t know, who knows what the gift is, all i know is that the ring was the first thing that i thought of, i could be wrong though!

I’m thinking something much bigger than a ring or car. Maybe a bigger house and maybe Peyton’s old house. She had both good and bad times there so she could have mixed feelings of going back to the place where she was attacked and lost her mother but she also really loved that house. Just a thought…This just in – Michaela McManus will be off SVU for 6 episodes beginning 2/17. They are bringing Cabot back for 6 episodes. Think maybe she’ll show up on OTH again?

I thought about a new house (or Peyton’s old one), but then I thought about it and they really don’t need a bigger house. The house they live in has at least 2 bedrooms, if not three. (Not sure if Lily had a nursery of if she just stayed in Karen’s room, because I don’t know how long they stayed in Tree Hill before taking off with Andy). But Lucas loves that house and so does Peyton. I think he would want to raise his child in the house where he was raised.
I also don’t see him giving Peyton the ring he gave Lindsay. I think if he was going to do that he would have already done it. I also don’t think it will be a new ring, because they are already engaged and she is happy about that, she would have no reason to feel unsure about a new ring. I think it has to be a new car.

I wouldn’t mind a season 7 as long as they come up with good ideas.
I feel Season 5 was superior (to all the seasons)
The show was reinvented and the storylines were really good (especially first half of season 5)…it started decline bib by bit.
Even though LP are together this season, it’s still not as good. Some of the storylines are a bit mundane.
*There’s too much Sam and other C characters taking up screentime…and Jamie getting his own storyline is completely unnecessary
*The psycho/stalker scenarios are preposterous.
*The show will end and we will never see Pathan interaction
*And no Karen!!!I thought they were suppose to bring her back

i doubt it’s something as big as a house. i mean right now Lucas doesn’t even have any income… remember he’s referred to Peyton as his “sugar momma” a couple times lol. so i can’t see them being able to afford a new house right now with a baby on the way… babies are expensive enough lol

Lucas is joking around when he calls Peyton his Sugar Mama. Lucas has a job, actually he has two. He is the head coach and he just published his 2nd novel. I am sure that he has enough money and credit to purchase a car or a house if he wanted to. Although I am leaning more towards the car. No matter how he or Peyton feels about the Comet, it is not a reliable car and I can see Lucas being totally over protective and worrying about her being on the road, even just around town, in a car that breaks down and that is a convertible. I can totally see him getting her a family car.

I also doubt that it is a visit from Larry, because Peyton wouldnt be unsure about that. And also because it says surprise gift, not a surprise. That means it would have to be an object of some kind, meaning car, house, etc.

still lol, being a high school basketball coach isn’t much of an income… and we all know that he’s struggling as an author at the moment. i just don’t think it’s anything as big as a house or a car, i think we’re getting a little carried away lol. it’ll probably just be something small that has to do with the baby in some way, that will probably make Peyton question if they’re ready or not… i’m guessing it’s something along those lines

To the fan who suggested LP fans want S6 to be the end because they dont think LP will last into a S7… you’re SO wrong!

I love the show, and am like totally obsessed; but I dont want it to become something crap and not even resemble the show it once was.

- Haley hasnt had a storyline in 13 episodes, and I have no doubt her simply being a prop to Jamie will continue.
- Nathan does nothing outside his comeback; I’m so bored of it already, I hope he doesnt make it so he can do something else.
- Jamie has too much screentime, with his own SL in each episode that has no depth or relation to any other SL, and merely uses Haley as his cheerleader.
- We’re seeing repeated, and at times outlandish, storylines. Nanny Carrie? Q dying? This LP babysitting SL? Brooke’s SL’s being wrapped up too soon.

Blah. Rant over.

And thats just the bare bones of what I havent enjoyed this season. I want 6×25 to be the end so it goes out as an awesome show that will be remembered as such. I dont want it to be like ‘The OC’ where people say the least season wasnt as good, and it skew the view of the show.
