Episode 15 We Change, We Wait Recap
By the way, I might try something new with the site. Right before the show, I’m going to try to put it in lock-down mode. You won’t be able to make comments but I’m hoping more people can read the recap and other posts I put up.

Nathan is at a game. Nathna is benched. Haley and Jamie watch from the stands. The team loses the game. #23 comes in bragging about something he did in 3rd quarter in the locker room. Nathan gets in his face and the coaches walk in. #23 says he’s just reminding him whose team it is.
Lucas washes dishes and Peyton walks in. He says he’s worried about the movie. Tomorrow he’s meeting another director and Julian’s dad is coming in town the next day.
Jamie is disappointed after the game. Nathan reminds him to have a good attitude.
Julian and Brooke kiss in front of the fire. Brooke says it’s wrong but it’s so right. He says maybe they should move to the bedroom. Brooke says she has a no boy/bedroom policy. Sam walks in and gives her a hard time about the rules. She says she’ll put her headphones on tonight just in case. Julian says maybe they should continue it in her bedroom without clothes. She goes in her bedroom and shuts the door. Julian says he’ll let himself out.
The new director talks to himself in a junkyard and says an old trailer is Lucas’ house. Lucas says that’s not like what he grew up in. The guy says it’s not gritty enough. Julian says they don’t want to rewrite history. He says that’s where Lucas will kill his uncle Keith in a driveby shooting. Lucas says he’s done and walks away.
Dan is at the doctor. He gets the pager back and has flashbacks of Carrie.
Nathan talks to his coach. He is concerned about playing time. The coach says he’s going to have to wait his turn. He gives him the offensive sets to go over and they’ll talk later.
Julian and Lucas are at a restaurant. Lucas asks about his hat. Julian says is it bad. Lucas says it’s fine. Julian says if it was fine, it would blend in. Julian’s dad comes in and they tell them the director won’t work. He tells them they better make one work or he’s drawing names out of a hat. They have until tomorrow to decide.
Nathan walks in on Haley playing. He says I’m still trying to figure out how I got such a talented wife. She says you got lucky. He says no, that’s what got me a son. Nathan tells her he won’t be playing anytime soon and he thinks they should skip the next few games so he doesn’t get disappointed. Haley won’t have it.
Julian goes to see Brooke at COB. She says she was waiting for him in her bed. He says that’s not funny. She says yes it is. She is organizing the clothes for the movie. She made him a letterman jacket. Peyton shows up. Peyton says really? You two are totally having sex. Peyton says she wouldn’t be mad. She says she should know he was with someone right after her and she should be careful. Brooke looks really disappointed.
Haley walks downstairs and Lucas is there with a ring. He pretends to propose. She says it’s creepy. He says that’s how the director wanted to end it. He asks if she thinks Peyton will like the ring he got her. She says she always imagined Keith’s ring but he gave it to Lindsey.
Julian walks into COB with the jacket. Brooke is on edge. He asks what’s wrong. She doesn’t want to make it awkward but she wants to know if they’re going anywhere. He says right now they’re hanging out, having fun. She says as she expected. In the past she was ok but her situation has changed. She wants to set a good example for Sam and she doesn’t know how to explain a fling. She says she knows he’ll leave when the movie is over. He says maybe they should slow it down and focus on the movie. Sounds like she stopped it before he got there but whatever she wants.
Jamie and Dan are at the RiverCourt eating ice cream. Jamie complains about Nathan not playing. Dan says playing is about heart, not playtime.
Chase and Mia kiss. Mia says she wants to play him a song but she’s nervous because he inspired it.
Lucas stops at the lake with Peyton in his car. He tells her he used to come there when she as in LA. They talk about the first time they met. He says he has something for her. He knows they’re engaged but he gets down on his knee. She says I’m so glad you always knew me.
Dan goes to see Nathan at the RiverCourt. Dan says losing always forces change and it’s coming. Dan says if he gets a second chance he’s going to make the most of it but right now all they can do is wait.
Peyton goes to TRIC. Julian’s dad is there. She hugs him and says she’s really happy to see him. He says she looks happy. He says he has good taste except with director. He says it’s good to see him. He says letting her go as the worse mistake he made. She says it wasn’t hard for Julian since he got that A-list actor so fast. He says he planted that story. Peyton seems shocked.
Julian and Lucas meet to pick a director. They discuss.
Nathan looks over the book the coach gave him. Jamie comes in and talks to Nathan. Nathan says he could use his help learning the plays. They start going over the play. Jamie says you can’t play until the coach wants you to?
Lucas goes to see Brooke at COB. Lucas asks about her and Julian. She says it ended before it started. She asks about the movie. He tells her about the latest director. She says he doesn’t have to compromise. He asks what he does. Brooke says do whatever it takes as long as they tell the story the way he remembers it.
Peyton goes to see Haley. She has Mia’s new song. Jamie gets on the phone and says “we need to talk”. Peyton shows off her ring. She doesn’t sound convincing. She says she always imagined Keith’s ring. Haley tells her about what Lucas says. The coach says he’ll think about it.
Julian and Lucas discuss the director at Lucas’ house. Dixon shows up in a car. He says his agent told him they were still having trouble and he came to help.
Chase brings Mia a Long Island Iced Tea. She tastes it and he says it’s good. Mia says before he gets arrested he better back to the bar. But first he has to kiss her. She tells him he’s perfected that too.
Julian and Lucas meet with Dixon. Dixon says they need a director. They need him. Lucas says why he’s not going to direct the movie. He says he needs someone to recreate the feeling he gets on the RiverCourt, how one song can change peyton’s mood and how there are two sides to Brooke Davis that are both great. He wants a director that can make the little things, the big things and he’s just not the director to do that.
Peyton gos to see Brooke. She says she sucks. All the stuff about Julian wasn’t entirely accurate. Brooke is still worried about what Peyton says. She says she’s engaged to her ex-boyfriend, they are fine.
Nathan is at practice giving #23 tips. He tells him to go sit on the bench. He gives him one last tip.
Lucas goes to see Julian’s dad. Lucas says they chose none of them. He believes they can do better. He says that may be true but time is up.
At the game, Nathan gets put in the game. Haley and Jamie get excited. Nathan gets assists in the last play and they win the game.
Paul meets Julian’s dad. He’s supposed to convince him why he should be the director. Dixon uses Lucas’ lines about the little/big things to convince him.
Haley and Jamie shoot some hoops while Dan and Nathan talk after the game. Dan says he had a feeling about tonight. He knew he’d make it. He knew he can’t be part of it but he’s really proud of him.
Peyton goes to talk Lucas while he’s at his desk. She gives him back the ring. It’s not the ring she wants to wear. She wants to wear Keith’s ring. Lucas asks if she’s sure. He gets the other one out of his desk drawer and he puts it on her. He says it’s right where it belongs. She says it will be forever.
Julian goes to see Brooke. He gives her his jacket. She says what does that mean. He says it means they’re going steady. He says everyone thought he came here for the girl but he came for the movie but everyone was right, but it was the other girl. They kiss. Brooke says maybe we should continue this in my room, preferably without our clothes.
Dixon goes to see Lucas and tells him he got the job as the director. He says they’ll talk tomorrow.

excitement level: prolly about an 8, ahaa i can’t wait for the leyton scenes!
its 1:28 minutes till it comes on, i love living on the east coast haha.
and i must say, julian is growing on me, he is quite nice looking =) i can’t wait to see the scene where sam walks in, too funny.
ahhh, i can wait, but its sooo hard, thses last few hours seem to go by SO slowly!

wow, not going to lie, i loved this episode. i didn’t mind the chase/mia parts, cuz there weren’t too many of them, and they were really short so it didn’t bother me. glad to see dan. jamie was too cute phoning nates coach. SO HAPPY NOT TO SEE MOUTH OR MILLIE!!!!!!!!!! god, i was getting so tired of them. i can’t believe i have to wait TWO WEEKS till the next episode. that one is going to be my favorite nathan “why am i shirtless?”

Ok I have to say I don’t know if its because CMM directed it last week, but i liked this episode much better than last week. I thought the naley and jamie scenes and it was nice to see nate and dan have a nice conversation instead of just yelling. I can’t believe james van der beek ( i think thats how u spell it) is directing the movie thats going to be interesting. I think less mia/chase made it better and brulian as a couple is cool. Why 2 weeks it just came back on like 3 weeks ago geez back to youtube and dvds for the next 2 weeks.

Not Enough NALEY!!!!!!!!!!!It was still a good episode though. I can’t believe we have to wait two more weeks until this show comes back on. That just made me a little upset because they had a very long break during Christmas and New Years. But whatever, I just needed more Naley.

I really really really really liked this episode. There were a ton of LOL moments. I definitely needed a good laugh tonight. I loved that Peyton wanted to wear Keith’s ring…I think it is the way things are supposed to be. Love the whole Bruilian vibe…just wondering where it is going to go if Austin isn’t staying on throughout the rest of the season (do we know if he has signed on for more ep?) The next episode looks wonderful and full of laughs. So excited at least it is only two weeks away and not six so withdraws won’t be so severe.

Is it just me or does anyone think peyton is pregnant in really life cause she has this glow to her and her stomach looks a lil puggie or is that just for the show. JUST A THOUGHT!!! I loved this episode and i’m really liking brooke and julian…i wonder if he is staying for awhile…you know i think he’s good for Brooke…she deserves to be happy…Jamie is the cutest I never get tired of that kid…I knew peyton wanted that ring…it was meant for her anyway…remember lindsay found it by mistake if she didnt find it luke would of never proposed…Love when he put it on peytons finger now its where it should be and she says and it will be there forever….YAY 4 leyton…oh and i’m glad they didn’t show mouth and millie either..mouth and his woman…they are always disappointing him…is he ever gonna keep a steady relationship.

I left off my couch yelling thank you! Peyton IS engaged to Brooke’s ex-boyfriend!!!! Again, THANK YOU Peyton for FINALLY pointing that out.

aww Leyton was cute tonight. i’m glad that Lucas DID consider not giving Peyton the ring that he had already given Lindsey… it’s nice to know that he was considering Peyton’s feelings about it previously being Lindsey’s ring. however with that being said… she got Keiths ring, which like Lucas said, is where is belongs! the proposal with the new ring was cute though, Leyton was just awesome tonight as usual
oh and on a different note… YAY for you Brucas fans! FINALLY some BL interaction/acknowledgement! lol good for you!

Love me Some Julian – I agree. haha. Not to start Brucas/Leyton drama….cause, come on guys – whats the point? We all know its Leyton and why rub salt in our wounds?
but it is funny that Peyton jokingly said “I’m engaged to your ex-boyfriend” and kind of giggled….did you notice, Brooke didnt smile at all? AND last episode Brooke was wondering if Peyton would be upset about her dating Julian and she said something like “even if she says shes ok with it, that is a lie on some level….because we are NEVER actually ok with it.”
Wonder if Brooke is secretly hurt. She is the type to hide her emotions and put on a brave face.

i highly doubt that Brooke is hurt about Peyton being engaged to Lucas. i think Brooke accepted the idea of Leyton a long time ago, back in season 4. and lord knows Brooke has always made it perfectly clear in the past when she hasn’t liked the idea of Leyton, so i don’t see why that would change now.
all of the L/P/B drama was back in high school, they have all moved on from it since then and Brooke is clearly Leyton’s #1 cheerleader now. as you said, we all know that Leyton is solid, so i don’t know what the point of Brooke being hurt now would be… if nothing was going to come from it

finally an episode without mouth!!! thank god!! i am loving julian more and more. but it seems he will not last long…i am hoping him and brooke will last. and why does mark consistently make every guy peyton has ever been be obsessed with her?? was the paul and peyton scene necessary? why would he tell her julian was never over peyton? i mean c’mon..that just makes brooke and julian look bad. i hate mark for that scene.

gina, i actually agree with you about that Peyton/Paul scene. if we are supposed to be taking Brulian seriously at ALL, i just don’t really see what the point of that scene was. it’s like Mark is trying to get people to like Brulian, but then he goes and writes about how in love Julian was with Peyton… it’s just confusing and contradicting at times.
if Brooke is going to get involved romantically with someone (finally), then i want her new guy to be completely committed to her and ONLY her… none of this mixed feelings between her and Peyton crap lol. and in my opinion, we don’t need to keep hearing about Julian’s past with Peyton either, i just don’t see the point of it anymore. If Julian is really not back for Peyton like he claims, then i think they just need to be focusing on his future with Brooke, not his past with Peyton. hearing about their past together is useless if they are really over

ahh Hello people the brucas scene was one of the best scenes in a few episode.. the lucas look of i dont like julian what is he with you part.. and omg when he says his speech about how there are 2 sides of brooke davis.. both of which are amazing line OMG…..

Brucas fans cant have it both ways. one second most of you are complaining about the fact that you have no BL interraction, then the second you get that interraction, you say Mark is “toying with your Brucas strings” lol (even if its purely a friendly scene, just like all of their scenes have been since they broke up)

Steph… please dont group me in with all the brucas fans.. i havent complained at all that there was no bl interraction.. i understand that it didnt fit into what was going on…in fact i have put up with SO MANY POINTLESS STORY LINES this season while i waiting for the timing to be right to start bring brucas back in.. as i know there are alot of scenes apparently ahead… what I am complaining about it is the context of this brucas scenes…. Dont Compare me with everyone else…I am not a normal brucas fan and You don’t know where i stand on it….so Im not having it both ways right now I only have it one way….

I just feel the need to say that, in case you forgot, this page is here for EVERYONE. not just leyton fans. or brucas fans. or naley fans. Its here so we can talk about what we liked or hated, missed, or what we would love to see happen on the show. Its here for EVERYONE. Its not right that everytime a brucas fan talks about liking the brucas scenes that a leyton fan has to talk down to us like were being unrealistic. its ALSO not fair that there are brucas fans out there that arent letting leyton just be happy. But what it all boils down to is this: If you dont like what someone has to say…ignore it! Act like a grown up! In the end were all here because of the show we love, not to read some arguments between brucas and leyton fans.

thanks tutor wife! i just love the whole show. im personally a brucas fan, but i only wanted them together back in the day. leyton is def. growing on me as is brulian, and i love naley lol
i just want to come here and talk to everyone about my favorite show, and not have anyone bash me if i say i liked the brooke/lucas *friendship scene* lol. by the way, i did love that scene. they had such a strong friendship last season, and now…nothing. but ill just watch and see and hopefully they will show more of the friendship.
Oh, and whats with NO ONE talking about how kick ass brooke was with the bad guy and standing up for herself and sam?
