Chad Michael Murray Confirms He’s Not Coming Back

He wants us to blog about it so here it goes. TPTB, PLEEEEAAASSSSEEEE bring Chad back. I don’t know how I’ll deal with an OTH without Lucas. Lucas is what made me fall in love with this show and while I’ll support the show anyway, I think it’s a big mistake and you’re shooting yourself in the foot. Yeah, maybe you’ll save money but you’re going to lose a lot of fans doing that.

THERE IS NO ONE TREE HILL WITHOUT CHAD AND HILARIE!
if this is true i’m seriously even more upset than before.
Seriously, I think it would be a big mistake not having Chad or Hilarie back next year. I know for me personally, this show has had such a huge impact on my life. I have followed Lucas and Peyton from the pilot episode and Peyton is my favourite character as Lucas and Peyton are my favourite couple. To have watched this show from the beginning and gone through all the emotions of their characters and events in their lives, not having Chad or Hilarie for the 7th season would be a huge void for me. Although I love all that characters, they are the reason I wacth the show and I can honestly say 100% that it will not be the same without them as it would not be that same without any 2 of the core 5. The story of One Tree Hill revolves around the life of Lucas Scott and his family and friends, without him next season, there will be a huge loss in character interaction as his character and Hilarie’s character are not just about their relationship but also friendships with Brooke and Haley, brotherhood with Nathan and so on. I for one will be so upset if neither Hilarie or Chad return because One Tree Hill is not just a show for me, I’ve watched it from the start and feel a huge bond to these characters that I can really relate to them. A part of One Tree Hill will be missing without them so please please please keep Chad AND Hilarie for season 7 as not to would be an extreme travesty.
I have never been a Leyton fan, and I will never be one! But that doesn’t mean that I wont them out of the picture. There is NO One tree Hill without Chad & Hill! This show was based on Lucas’s life when it started, but and now they are cutting him off!?

Personally I don’t like Chad’s attitude about it on the video, if he don’t like he is not getting the chance for coming back, then don’t say it like that to the fans..
Maybe he is not coming back because they don’t like him on set, like Brenda in Beverly hills, and she got kicked out of the series.. maybe it has something to do with that, but don’t know … But still I wanna miss Lucas at OTH but I still got Nathan/James to look at .. Wayy
I like the fact that he’s talking to the fans about it. He’s not dumb. He knows that his job is based on how much noise we make. He knows where to go to make things happen
Yes he does! I think its a good thing! Same with Hilarie. I sent in emails to the CW heads. This would just be a huge mistake! I could not see OTH doing well this next season without them AT ALL!
It’s so stupid and such a HUGE misstake if they don’t bring CMM or HB back.. They will loose so many fans and the ratings will def. go down. OTH is not like any other tv-show and it deserves better then this.. Why would they ask him to leave?! I really don’t get it….

Agreed Amy, One Tree Hill was the show that no one knew if it was going to come back for another season year after year but the fan base grew stronger and now they are looking at a 7th season. But it is not because of any one character that this has happened, it’s because of all the characters, mostly the core 5 that One Tree Hill has grown so strong, and without them it will be a lesser show. The fans really love this show and show their support by travelling to Wilmington just to meet the cast. That just shows how much they think of the cast and the characters they play, it will be a completely different show without Hilarie or Chad and if Chad thinks we should petition then I think we should, the fans have not failed them yet but continue to grow so why don’t we get behind them once more and show our love for the show, the cast, the crew and the characters
Jennifer, how do you go about sending emails in? can you locate it on the cw site? I wonder if we all sent in our heartfelt thoughts on this would it help? Any support might help though right? Also Amy, is there any way we can get a petition going on this site that can then be sent to the cw???

As much as I have enjoyed Luke and Peyton’s story, I can live with out Chad returning. I think the last couple of season’s have been the best of OTH. It is the entire cast and the writing that has gotten better with age. I can live with out him, I say let him go if he’s not happy.
Sniff Sniff in my opinion theres no One Tree Hill with out Chad…when I hear the name one tree hiil the first name that pops in my head is Lucas Scott…One Tree Hill is my favorite show ever and I would hate to see it go down hill if they decide not to bring Chad back and I no it will as much as I hope it don’t…I’ll be a supporter to the end…but pleeeeaaaassseeeee bring Chad back…..I feel they same way about Hilarie to….so I really hope they reconsider what they are doing and keep Chad…I fell in love with OTH because of Lucas Scott and I no I’m not the only one…Love you Chad xoxo
the cw=total douchebags. not a nice thing to say, but i could have said alot worse…im just tryin to be ladylike lol. seriously though. the show is based on two brothers, how can you continue the show without one of the brothers? maybe they are doing what they think is best. they probably know that if they keep chad, then we will want the show to go on forever. maybe they want season 7 to be the last, and they know that people will be more okay with it if two of the main people are gone.
I love One Tree Hill for Lucas and Peyton. Their story has come so far for it to end just now. Their fans are the most loyal, being supportive of every decision made but this is too drastic a change. Without Chad, the show would need to make a show based on 1 less character, one that has been so prominent in the past 6 seasons. I wonder if they’re really thinking hard about what this will do to the workload of other actors on set and the storylines they will portray. I used to watch the show for each individual character because i could relate in some way to what was going on. Now, I love Chad and Hilarie (their acting, characters, and stories) more than the others and without them, Im afraid my love for the show will diminish!

Seee I said it since before… if both HB & CMM dont come back ratings will drop & the way ratings drop is from ppl NOT watching the show, & I will be one of them. Its sad! I just wish they would know how to save the show. I just think they shouldnt have a S7 if everyone isnt coming back & keep in mind, if the ratings stay TOO down the 1st couple of weeks, they might as well cancel the entire show mid season! Ok so i said that was not going to really write or comment on any of these things. I have decided to go ahead and leave this comment though. I was down there during that time and saw him talking about all that. I am a new fan of OTH – began watching this season and have been playing catch up. My neighbor is a huge fan and she has all the seasons so I have been slowly watching them. I am on season 3 while watching season 6. Anyway I too if this is all true would be upset. For me i feel i have just begun watching and now there is the possibly of two AWESOME characters/actors leaving and that just sucks. So I ask as well to please please do all that you can to help bring Chad and Hilarie back for next year. Figure out a way to make it work. Please Please!!!!
I really do not see season 7 being a successful season without Chad or Hilarie,this season has been about them, the wedding and the baby. Don’t get me wrong I do like the other characters, but I just don’t see it working without them. Brooke, Nathan, and Haley’s best friends will be gone. I don’t see the three of them being able to keep the show going alone, they are all great acting but you can’t have the three you need the five of them or nothing at all. I don’t think I will enjoy a season 7 without Chad and Hilarie, the show revolves around them the past 6 seasons have, so now what will they focus on?? I say if no Chad and Hilarie cancel season 7 it will not be successful.
I’m just really confused because it’s been rumored that CMM did not want to return for months. Maybe this is a all some sort of hoax to get the fans buzzing…they haven’t announced who is returning for season 7 yet, so who knows.
I think the CW needs to go on to set the record straight because no one understands Hil and CMM’s “interviews” with/to the fans.

While I personally would support the show with or without CMM, I think it would be a HUGE mistake on the part of whoever makes the casting decisions. I truly believe that without Lucas on the show, ratings would plummet, and it would be likely that the show be canceled mid-season 7.

I wish The CW or Mark would make an announcement about it. Obviously the network wants him back, but I’m guessing he was asking for to much of a pay raise and the network couldn’t afford it. This is him trying to get that raise from the network.
I really don’t know how there could ever be another season without chad or hilarie. as much as i love the show, i would much rather have season 6 be the last season than to have a season 7 without them. they need to finish the series off right.

I really don’t think it’s hoax. Hilarie’s video seemed sincere. Chad I’m confused about, but I’m sure there’s more to the story that none of us know about yet and maybe we’ll never really know until Mark comes with the story.
I don’t know what to think. But I don’t really care anymore. I’ve been ready to move on from this show for awhile now, I didn’t want season 7 way before this Hil/Chad drama came about, and now I’m just happy Lucas and Peyton get their happy ending. Good for me at least.

It’s clear Chad and Hil aren’t coming back. We can hope for guest appearances. If OTH wants to survive, ALL of the remaining core 3 (Sophia, James, Joy) need to come back otherwise they might as well just end the show now.
i really think that they would be making a big mistake not to bring lucas back. he is what makes the show and has and will always be a big part of the show. i have been there with the show since the beginning and started watching because of lucas in the show. i really think if he doesnt come back they will lose a lot of fans of the show and then it might get cancelled because there are not enough viewers. i went all the way to wilmington to see chad, i watch the show because of him, and i buy the cds and movies because of him. imsure that im not the only one out there that has done all of this because of chad. i know it will be a big mistake if hes not brought back. if they are looking to save money then there are other ways to save money rather than not bringing chad back. they need to figure it out so that he can come back and give us some more great lucas and peyton moments.

From the very beginning One Tree Hill has been about the life of Lucas Scott and the relationship with the “Scott” brothers. How they think One Tree Hill is going to survive without Chad Michael Murray or Hilarie Burton is beyond me. They may think that they are saving money by not bringing them back but once they start losing viewers and the ratings go down the drain then they will lose even more money and the network will be worse off. Lucas and Peyton are such an important part of the core 5…without them there will be a huge gap in the show. Right now I count the days and hours until the show begins each week…I have to say that next year without Lucas and Peyton I really don’t know that I will watch One tree Hill on a regular basis. PLEASE BRING CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY AND HILARIE BURTON BACK NEXT YEAR!!!! Is there anyway to start a petition of some sort????
If they arent bring them back – why have a season 7? They can end season 6 on a happy note for all the core characters and be done. Yes they can write season 7 without them, but whats the point. Lucas is the show, he started it – he should end it. I love all the characters but they ALL make the show TOGETHER. If they lose 2 of the core, just end it. And if it is to save money, shame on the CW!

I don’t know what to think about this videos, or if I trust Chad in this. I don’t see why “they” wouldn’t want Chad back nex season since he’s the main character, the reason that got viewers in the first place when OTH started (he was the most famous member of the cast right? I’m italian and me and my friends all started waatching because of him). Well… I got to dislike Lucas during the years and I didn’t like this last two seasons much, but I will watch the next one even if I’m sad that Hilarie is leaving too…

I never watched this show until last summer when a friend at work gave me her box sets and I watched a season each weekend. Now I am completely hooked and have to say that I completely adore Lucas and Peyton.
Not only do they have a great story and awesome scenes together, but I love the interaction between Lucas and Nathan and between Peyton and Brooke. Who are Nathan/Haley/Brooke going to turn to when they need help? They’re best friends will be gone. Jamie won’t have his godfather…and even Dan won’t have Lucas there to desecrate his gravestone so there goes his storyline. It only took one weekend to get me hooked and it will only take getting rid of Lucas and Peyton to get me unhooked. I’m not sitting through an hour of Gossip Girl so I can watch Deb chaffeur Jamie around while Nathan plays basketball some more and Mouth whines about his latest girlfriend.

the show was based around lucas, hes always been the unofficial main character if they take lucas off it will take a HUGE part of the show away. even though naley has always been my favorite part of the show there is NO show without lucas. if the CW thinks they are saving money by cutting chad, they should think about how their ratings will be affected. there are obviously going to be people who will not watch if chad is not on the show. i just dont understand how removing such a huge part of the show can be what is best for one tree hill.

Sorry to say this but no matter what Chad says about “them” not wanting him back, it’s a ploy. Chad worked long and hard to get out of his contract. He is trying to play the martyr here. I believe that it wasn’t Hil’s decision but I know for a fact that Chad not coming back was one he made all by himself.

steph i completely agree! at this point i just dont even care what the reasoning is behind chad and hilarie not returning… im just ready to move on from it. we’ve all stated our opinions on this topic multiple times already… so im sure they (whoever is responsible for the decision) are aware of how we feel about it. but every time we hear ANYTHING new about the subject… its another ordeal that gets talked about for a week (even though nothing new is being said and we’re just repeating ourselves lol). lets just wait and see what happens, and not worry about it until we get an official statement from the network or mark, and lets move on already! no one knows what they can believe anymore, so its pointless worrying about it at this point

Well, after seeing Chad’s reaction, I’m just totally confused. I’ve always be thinking that the reason why Hilarie couldn’t come back next season was because CHAD didn’t want to come back. And so MArck wanted a happy end for Leyton.
But now honestly I don’t really know what to think: I can’t believe Mark and the CH don’t want him back… So I hope it’s all to create a buzz, and that the core 5 characters will be back!

When I first heard that Chad Michael Murray was not coming back for another season, I was sad because he is a major storyline to this show. The show originally was about two brothers and their families and relationships and has continued with those stories. Now you are getting rid of one of the brothers. It just does not make sense. I worry too that now the show is going to be centered on Nathan and Haley which is a boring story (please quit using the kid so much especially since he is supposed to be 5-6 and you are treating him like he is 3 but possibly 18–very weird). I hope the show gets better for the rest of this season because I’m starting to lose interest and by losing the Lucas character I’m not likely to come back next season since a major and one of the good parts of the show will be gone.
I cannot believe that the show does not want Chad back! I mean the show is not complete without him or Hilarie. They are the best part of the show and the entire show is basically about them. Everyone needs to blog and complain about this to someone!! This is outrageous! BRING CHAD BACK!

something does seem a little fishy, I thought they cant say anything until the network releases information. And if they were making cutbacks to save money, you think they would do different cutbacks to make sure they can keep the main cast. That doesnt make sense to me, like cutback on crew, and equipment, and extras before cutting the main cast members.

One Tree Hill has been my favorite show for years now. I started watching it during its third season when I was a senior in high school. The school shooting episode was the episode that sold Leyton for me..it was then that I knew that they had to be together. I always felt that Peyton was my alter-ego. Her darkest hours were similar to how I lived my high school experience. I have also felt that I really was just like Peyton..and I love Lucas’ character as Peyton does. Every season I have hoped that it would come back for another year..and I was ecstatic to find out that season 7 would be coming..but without Peyton? who I identify with? without Lucas? who gives the quotes at the beginning and ending of the show that touch my heart sometime? Without their chemistry that has bound this show for 6 season? It isn’t logical..Every show jumps the shark anymore..and this will certainly be how OTH jumps it..Please bring back Chad and Hilarie..
This really pisses me off. If this is true and Chad isn’t just saying this (which I doubt he would to the fans!!) this is complete garbage. If I find out that they don’t want him or Hilarie back just to save money, there’s little no to chance I’m going to be watching next season. From the begining its been lucas and peyton. Thats how its supposed to be. Not bringing CMM and Hilarie Burton back is ridiculous. They are OTH. I love Nathan, Haley, and Brooke but without Lucas and Peyton, the show wouldn’t feel right. Im really upset at the thought of them not coming back. After six years of watching they can’t take off two of the main characters. The show needs its core 5 next season especially if its possibly the last.

I am completely disheartened to hear that Chad and Hilarie will not be returning for season 7. I cannot say that I will watch the following season (as i’m sure many other fans will feel the same way). While I love all of the characters, this show has always been about the core 5 and I just cannot see continuing it without all 5. For me, the show will end at Season 6. I love One Tree Hill and hate to see it turn into another That 70′s show or The O.C., where they try to hang onto one more season without the original characters. The show’s magic is lost in the transition.

Since this is on the Eonline! website as well, I think an official announcment/statement would be in the best interest of the CW! Their characters are part of the Core Five and together they all provide a distinct and unique dynamic to this show but together they are vital to the overall success. I can not imagine any of the Core Five not being in this show next season and it would be the greatest mistake.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I would not even bother with a 7th season. Why do it. I agree why end the show on a low note. The show has completely picked itself up since Season 5 and it a shame that they would end the show with Chad and Hilarie leaving. They are such an integral part of the show, and lets be honest they leave so will majority of the viewers. They are what the show is all about. I would just wrap it up at the end of Season 6 and be done with it. Give Leyton the happy ending they deserve. If they have Chad leaving on such a low that is really a horrible way to end a show that has been absolutely fantastic to this point. However, without Chad, OTH seems a little pointless. Most of the main relationships are based around him. The original Laley friendship, the two brothers that the SHOW IS ABOUT, the BLP triangle. There’s no BL or LP without Lucas. Everyone loses. Also, CMM attracts a lot of attention as he is probably the most well known out of the cast. So, there is a huge possibility that a lot of the current fan base will stop watching.
Basically, I will watch with or without him, because I mainly watch for Sophia, but a lot of people don’t feel the same way. The show will defintely lose out in one way or another if he was to leave.

I think he knew someone was filming and he and that Scott guy set everything up. The whole thing just came off as fake and i thought it was noticably so. The thing is Chad has stated several times he’s done and its been confirmed by several realiable sources that this season would be his last. I mean he even wanted to be killed off if another season was ordered for cryin out loud lol.
However, i don’t think he REALLY expected the show to renew without him which kinda messes everything up because now to the fans it looks like he’s abandoning the show and pretty much putting Hilarie out of a job, which i personally do not believe at all, but it looks that way to several fans. So, i believe in order to save his image he’s blaming it all on the CW and he knows by having some kind of video out there the fans will believe him over anything the CW will come out with in the next couple of weeks.
I honestly do not believe Chad would come back at all despite the CW’s advances. I mean seriously he’s movin to LA after filming wraps up, so that to me seems like his tune hasn’t changed that much. I don’t know i guess its possible for him to want to come back, but just asked for a ridicoulous amount of money. I just can’t beleive that though because you can tell onscreen that he’s bored out of his mind with this show, so why he would change his tune so quickly doesn’t seem plausible.

I can say that on behalf of all fans we want the entire cast because the ENTIRE cast is what makes one tree hill what we know and love.

WOW…I really dont know what to make of all this… the mind boggles!
HOWEVER, what I do think is that it’s about time some sort of ‘official’, (i.e. The CW) faced this head on and released some kind of official statement as things are starting to get silly…THEY OWE THIS TO THE FANS.
(p.s. i am one of those that would love to see Hilarie & Chad in season 7…but all this ‘crazyness’ is starting to give me a headache!!!)
I’m so disappointed to hear that Chad isn’t expected to return for the 7th season of One Tree Hill. I am a newer fan and have recently caught up after watching all the previous seasons episodes. I think Chad Michael Murray is talented and will no doubt have a lengthy film career once he leaves OTH. He’s shown what a great leading man he is and I’m looking forward to seeing him in other roles in the future. But for now it would be a shame if he does not return for the final season of the show that he made so popular. I know he will land on his feet regardless of what happens. You’re awesome, Chad!
Has anyone wondered whether they will kill off Peyton? I keep reading everyone saying how Leyton will get their happy ending, but last week’s episode stated that she could die if she had the baby. What if the baby survives, but Peyton doesn’t. The scenes shot for the last episode of LP in the comet with a babyseat in the back could be Lucas having flashbacks or some type of dream (OTH is notorious for this type of stuff).
There are five characters in one tree hill; lucas, peyton, brooke, nathan and haley. how about we let go people who dont matter such as sam, julian, even jamie. stop bringing back old tv stars [james van der beek] who probably wants more money than chad wants for a whole season. would you rather save a few dollars and have 100 viewers? or would you want to bring back chad michael murray and hilarie burton and keep the ratings up. the four year ahead skip was drastic, we got through it. but honestly having the main couple of the show leave? i cant stand anymore nathan and haley ‘i love you so much’ scenes. and i cant handle brooke dealing with an unruly teenager who isnt even a good actress. take it back to season 1 to 4. on the info that comes up when you see one tree hill on tv, it says TWO BROTHERS, not a couple and their kid. not a girl who used to be a slut but now who is desperatly wanting a child. no one wants that. why dont you ask the fans what they want. a season without chad and hilarie isnt one tree hill. and your hurting yourself, and the show. if their not coming back, dont even do another season because you will lose millions of fans. no exaggeration. think with your brain, not your wallet. i was planning on going up to wilmington to watch you guys shoot, and now i dont even feel like watching the new episode tonight. what a way to treat your actors who have been there through the hard times.
Hey, okay so I have been watching One Tree Hill and I think it is the best show ever! Now that I heard Lucas and Peyton weren’t coming back, the show will never be the same. Nathan, Haley, Lucas, Brooke, and Peyton are the main characters and you can’t afford to lose any of them to have a good show still. People who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. You can’t get rid of a core character like that and expect the show to succeed. Just look at what happened to The O.C. after Mischa Barton left the show. I love OTH and don’t want to see the same thing happen to them. I can almost guarantee that will happen if both Peyton and Lucas don’t come back. You just can’t cut out two of the characters who built this show and made it was it is today.

okay well this is absurd. i have been absolutely obsessed with one tree hill ever since my friend gave me the first season two years ago. i finished one whole season in a day and a half. i was hooked on it ever since i saw a picture of chad, and then seeing james, of course! when my friend told me there might now be a seventh season i seriously was so mad and despressed…no joke. then she told me that it was coming back for a seventh season and i cant even express how happy i was. now that i heard that hilarie and chad are NOTTTTT coming back i feel like throwing a brick at a wall. i almost with they don’t make another season if they won’t ask hilarie and chad to come back. the show will never be the same, and i think mark schwann needs to make two little phone calls (to hilarie and chad) before he has no viewers watching this “once upon a time” amazing show that every teenager watched. this is stupid and i can’t even imagine the show without the two of them. i hope mark schwann is remembering that peyton and lucas had PRETTTYYY BIIGGG roles in the show.

You would think that since Mark Schwann is a BIG Leyton fan he would want them to stick around. Or maybe he does want the show to end. It will end if you do not bring back 2 of the 5 stars. Personally One Tree Hill has meant a lot to me. I know how can a tv show mean a lot to me. Peyton’s character makes me think of my twin sister. OTH has let me laugh/relax when things in my life have been hard. Leyton has let me believe in love.

They should just end the show after this season if Peyton and Lucas aren’t coming back. I would love to see a seventh season with them in it. But without out them the show won’t last it will be canceled and it will be very uninteresting. Chad Michael Murray IS One Tree Hill. He could practically carry the show with different guest stars every week and it would still get high ratings and I’d watch! He deserves every penny he is paid now or asks for in season 7. The Lucas/Peyton storyline needs to be completed by Chad and Hilarie.

Ok so I agree with what a lot of you guys are saying because it is so TRUE! If we lose Chad and Hilarie together what would One Tree Hill be? I’m a huge Leyton fan as you can tell by my name. I’ve been a fan of this show since the beginning the pilot and I could always tell that Leyton was going to be the end game so I always had hope. To tell you the truth I love all the characters like naley and brooke and jamie but if it wasn’t for Leyton, Chad or Hilarie, I personally won’t watch the show. I know One Tree Hill is just a show but it has helped me through a lot in life when my mom was diagnosed with cancer last year this show got me through it. I use to relate to every character in this show because in my own way it helped me with my own personal problems. And to tell you the truth if i’m having a bad day i sit back and watch this show because i know i can get through anything. And hate to be cheesy here but Leyton makes me believe in true love. After all they have been through they managed to find their way back to each other.

Don’t make a disaster of what has been a great show. You as a television studio ask us to support your stories, your characters, your business, and we have. If not it wouldn’t be coming back. We have taken this wonderful story of One Tree Hill and made it a part of our lives. You can’t just decided to take a big part of that story away from us. It has become a part of our lives as much as it has been for the actors playing these characters. You need us to be successful, and if you want to continue with this great place that is Tree Hill, you need to continue it with everyone. We have supported you these past six seasons, now it’s time for you to support us in making this story’s conclusion, when ever that may be, a conclusion fitting for one of the best show’s I’ve ever been a part of. Chad shouldn’t leave One Tree Hill. He’s the main character and it just wouldn’t be the same show without him. Frankly, the show will lose alot of it’s viewers. Chad carries the show! Honestly, without him (and Hilarie) on the show, I won’t continue to watch and I’m sure a lot of others will stop watching as well. Firing these two will lead to this show being cancelled at the end of the season – I’d bet on it.
Whoever made the decision to let Leyton go should be dismissed. This person definetely has zero knowledge when it comes to a marketing strategy. You do not increase the number of viewers by removing the actor who made it all happen. That is not how it works. Instead of wasting money on excessive advertising of all the CW shows, you should give the viewer’s what they want, and clearly they want to say Leyton back on next season. So I strongly suggest that the decision maker starts using his problem solving skills because you need to find a way to get those two actors back or else your job will be on the line. As for Peyton, I’m sure the nobody actress who plays her is a sweet girl, but she makes no impact on the show what-so-ever and I see no reason to miss her if she goes. The whole Peyton and Lucus love story has been a snooze-feast since day one… Thank god for having a DVR, if I really had to sit through them acting all retarded for eachother every week I would ditch the show all together.

I love One Tree Hill. The show has some of the best writing scripts I have ever seen on t.v. The whole cast is needed to keep the wonderful chemistry that is One Tree Hill. Please reconsider. Remember, the show is for the fans. Without the fans, you have no show. Please don’t spoil a great thing. The season finale ended wonderfully. I would rather have the show end on this perfect note then to bring it back and have it be horrible or just missing that perfect air about it that I just can’t explain. I have only recently become addicted to One Tree Hill, and am trying catch the reruns on the SoapNet channel! I will be devasted if Chad and Hilarie are not back in the fall! How can you have a show with out the main character? Chad made this show what it is, I remember not wanting to see this show because of Nathan get rid of him. He is use less on the show. Even though the show was pretty much based on Lucas and his love of basketball and what not, I’m glad that Lucas and Peyton are leaving the show. When mark found out they were quitting he should have just canceled the show because they are the main characters, but he didn’t. I never liked Lucas and Peyton together. Seasons 4, 5, and 6 were like torture to watch because of how annoying they were together. In my opinion, Lucas belongs with Brooke and their real life situation shouldn’t have interfered with the show. Maybe this season won’t be as annoying when Peyton isn’t there to whine about everything. Plus if you noticed, Chad was sick of being on the show. His acting started getting worse and worse as the last season ended. His voice got a lot quieter and you could tell that he wasn’t putting his heart into it. But anyway the show did revolve around Lucas and it really just needs to end if he isn’t coming back. Chad should return but Hilarie really shouldn’t. I like Hilarie as an actress but I really can’t stand her character Peyton.
Anyways, that’s just my two cents, don’t judge me on what I said, because I know I dissagreed with just about everybody on this thing

One Tree Hill better look out because without “Lucas and Peyton” the show is going to go no where. Fans will most likely stop watching because even if you don’t like the two charaters kicked off the show, whether you admit to it or not, revolves around Lucas. Its started with the conflicts of Lucas’ life and followed him through his years focusing on his friends and family. So unless there is some kind of contract, I wouldn’t expect there to be an eighth season. As much as I love the show and watch the seasons over and over again in the comfort of my home, I hate to say that watching this seventh season is a major disappointment. It’s not the same and it seems like they are going in a circle with the episodes. The show isn’t going anywhere anymore and it’s depressing because it was such a hit in the past. The only solution would be to bring Chad and Hiliary back if not don’t be surprised when you see that the series finale is sooner than you would have thought.

I am a new One Tree Hill fan. I recently came upon an episode of the show and was so amazed with Lucas and Peyton that I went out and bought all six seasons and watched them on my Christmas Holiday break. The episodes were so amamzing that all I did was watch One Tree Hill. Lucas and Peyton made that picture what it is. The other leading characters are also awesome but their is just no show without Lucas and Peyton. Coming toward the end of season 6 when I thought Peyton would die I began to get upset and I said that if she died, I would not watch it anymore. Bottom line is, I havent seen any of season 7 as yet because I am new fan, but from reading all the comments and knowing what I was looking forward to isnt there, (LUCAS AND PEYTON) I dont feel like watching it anymore. Please reconsider and bring back the two characters that made One Tree HIll the best series I ever watched on television.

Ok so here is what i have to say… I did watch OTH Season 7 and it was good.. Nevertheless Seasons 1-6 were way much better. I’ll give you one reason why Hilarie and Chad should come back for season 8. I grew up watching OTH and I love how at the end of each season I want more and more.. Mark Schwahn is one talented man, and as long as he cankeep going with these juicy storylines he should go for it, but if this is really the last season.. How can it all end without everyone coming back as a group. Yes Peyton and Lucas lived happily ever after but what about their baby? I have fun watching Jamey but IT would be nice to see how Hilarie and Chad raise their baby even though that baby should be like 2 years old already look how fast Jamey grew up.. lol!! So please please please listen to the loyal fans Mark and try your best to give us the OTH ending we deserve

I still love this show…and I really want two more seasons…but I really want those two seasons to be with Chad and Hilarie as well as Deb and Moira Kelly, Dan Scott, and Rachel. And if they had two more seasons with all the oringinal characters, they could do shocking things like they did in the beggining of the series and maybe we would care more becuase there about the characters we all want in the show.
