Parachute “She Is Love” Featured on 6.22

As the release date of their Mercury Records debut album Losing Sleep approaches on May 19th, Parachute moves into a final week of college dates and gear up for their spring tour with O.A.R.

Parachute’s tour schedule, kicked off the first at South By Southwest (SXSW) Music & Media Conference in Austin, Texas, where they were included in the IFC Channel’s SXSW Behind the Badge half-hour special throughout April highlighting them as one of the best of 2009′s showcases.

On TV next month, their song “Back Again” has been confirmed for the May 19th episode of 90210′s season finally on the CW, while “She Is Love” will be featured on One Tree Hill, May 4th. And on May 30th, Parachute will perform “She Is Love” and “Under Control” on the CBS Early Show. -

Is Chad Michael Murray Married?

I know this seems unrelated but…I know lots of people are wondering if Chad got married because he and Kenzie are both wearing rings on their ring finger. In this interview, Kristen (Kenzie’s sister) confirms they didn’t get married yet. (credit to Ashley)

Recently, Chad and Kenzie were in Las Vegas at the 2009 Miss USA Pageant at Planet Hollywood. They went out to support Kenzie’s older sister Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton, who was crowned Miss USA 2009!

‘One Tree Hill’ actor hosts indie film fest

If you’re a lover of low-budget wonders, it’s likely your weekend will be dominated by the Cape Fear Independent Film Festival.

Formerly the Sometime In October Film Festival, CFIFF will pack Friday through Sunday with features and shorts of many genres.

This year’s guest host is actor Joe Manganiello, whose credits include the role of Flash Thompson in “Spider-Man” (2002) and Owen Morello on Wilmington’s own “One Tree Hill.”

In addition to introducing film blocks, Manganiello will give his insights into the acting business during the Working Actors Seminar on Saturday.

But the Star-News picked up a few insights from the tall, dark Pittsburgh native earlier this week during a phone interview from California.
