This post is older but it does give some info about what he’s doing on the show:

as some of you may have heard, i’m going to be on the show “one tree
hill”. i just shot the first episode this past monday in wilmington,
nc. i have to say that everyone in the cast and on the crew were
awesome to work with. it was a lot of fun to do some tv again! you
guys will have to keep an eye out for the episode when it airs. i
will be performing the song “all in my head” in the first episode and
then be appearing in a second episode as well. i’d love to tell you
what happens, but you’ll have to wait to see it for yourselves! trust
me, it’ll be worth watching!
