Episode 20 I Would For You Reaction
Posted on April 20th, 2009 by Amy
Just a few thoughts for tonight.
- Overall I felt like Mouth and Millie’s scenes were unnecessary. BUT she was definitely cute in his shirt and the last scene with them on the video was LOVE. aww.
- Sam and Jack were super duper cute together listening to the music together. And the line in the coffee shop “i don’t like finals anyway” had Heather and I LOL.
- Speaking of Sam…what was with Victoria at the end? Is she going to be everything to Sam that she wasn’t to Brooke? Will she make a 180 and take Sam in, freeing Brooke up to be with Julian?
- I just love the older Nathan. I love that he won’t take smack from anyone but he’s not outright mean either.
- Haley was gorgeous this ep.
- Brooke looked pretty with her hair up for the record too. Looks like she’s regretting turning Julian down a bit. But I liked how she put his jacket in the cabinet and it said Clothes over Bros. So I guess she thinks she’s sacrificing her love for Julian for the rest of the COB employees. Boo. I want Brulian.
- Skills and Lauren FTW. I think they’d be cute together.
- Jamie was so cute telling jokes to his class. He was super cute at the end telling his friends he was staying.
- As for Lucas and Peyton, we didn’t get too much except for Luke trying to take care of Peyton and fixing the Comet. One off-topic thing I did notice is that Chad has new tattoo on his wrist! Looked like some sort of cross.
Honestly, not the best ep ever but it had a few good moments.

i noticed that too Amy! not the best eps but a good one.. loved protective Lucas!
April 20th, 2009 at 10:32 pm
yeah Chad’s had that tattoo for a while now… since season 5 i believe. i think i first noticed it in 5.01 when he found that picture of Peyton in his drawer
about the episode though… not the best. even though we didn’t get as much LP drama as i expected to get… i loved protective Lucas, and his comment about “the comet being worth more than you know”… that was cute. and the part where he was talking to the baby about it being time for a nap was adorable.
WAYYYY too much Sam for me in this episode. her scenes seriously took up probably half of the show. the end with her and Victoria was weird to me, and just came out of nowhere. overall just kind of a forgetable episode in my opinion
April 20th, 2009 at 10:32 pm
Agree Tutor Wife. It had its good points. Cant wait for next weeks =)
April 20th, 2009 at 10:33 pm
Oh yeah and the end with Victoria?? What in the world.
April 20th, 2009 at 10:38 pm
I would say what i really feel about this episode, but most of it’s negative so i’ll just hold off on that and say in short the episode was completly TERRIBLE.
April 20th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
wow this episode was SO worth the wait during the hiatus… not
however i did love lucas talking to the baby and the “its worth more than you know” comment. its sweet that he’s so attached to the car and is willing to fix it up for him and for peyton
but other than that… snoozefest! way to much sam!
April 20th, 2009 at 10:43 pm
Absolute FAVE part of the episode was Nathan calling those kids Math-Holes. Cheesey but clever.
April 20th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
This episode sucked. Not worth the wait at all.
I REALLY hope Chad and Hil STAY AWAY next season.
April 20th, 2009 at 10:49 pm
^completely agree peytonOTHfan! the show is clearly going downhill… and the storylines are just getting so ridiculous and repetitive. hopefully Leyton will get out this season, so the show doesnt drag them down with it and i wont have a reason to watch anymore
April 20th, 2009 at 11:11 pm
This episode was very forgettable. From the previews for this episode it looked like it was gonna be really good, but I agree with others who said that there was way too much Sam and not enough Lucas and Peyton. It seems like the main characters are getting less and less screen time. Maybe they’re preparing us for season 7
April 20th, 2009 at 11:16 pm
This season is LEYTON TREE HILL according to some people. I don’t see how that is but that’s that what people think, even though LP’s screentime have mostly been minimal.
April 20th, 2009 at 11:21 pm
yeah i dont see how people can say that either. just because leyton are the only ones left with actual stories to tell doesnt mean that the show is all about them. they are just being focused on a lot because they actually have a storyline going on… unlike the other characters. call me crazy but i think sam and jamie are getting way more screen time than leyton are!
April 20th, 2009 at 11:24 pm
even though Leyton’s screen time is minimal, i can see where people are coming from when they say it’s a Leyton based season. they might not get much screen time, but they are the ONLY ones out of the whole show who have any SIGNIFICANT storylines. everyone else is just doing pointless stuff, Leyton however is getting married and having a baby. that stuff matters and are the things that people are going to remember at the end of the day. but as far as the other characters go, even though they get more screen time… their storylines are soooooo BLAH. so yeah, i agree that it’s very Leyton centered this season
April 20th, 2009 at 11:24 pm
Sam and Jamie ARE getting more screentime.
Secondary characters are getting more screentime.
And this is a big reason why I hate this season.
April 20th, 2009 at 11:25 pm
haha steph we just completely said the EXACT opposite things. thats funny
April 20th, 2009 at 11:28 pm
I think we argued about this before, LindcasFan, LOL.
April 20th, 2009 at 11:28 pm
no we didnt lindcasfan lol, we both agree that leyton are the only characters that have a real storyline, and that is why they are focused on so much this season! as for the other characters… well… what exactly has happened to them this season again??
April 20th, 2009 at 11:29 pm
but as far as this episode goes… i’m sorry i hate to be negative but it sucked. big time. i feel like nothing happened? what was the point of this episode?
April 20th, 2009 at 11:30 pm
haha yeah. but you feel like it’s not Leyton based and i feel like it is. that’s the difference i guess but you’re right we did say the same thing, we just came to different conclusions from it haha. weird
April 20th, 2009 at 11:32 pm
No need to apologize for being negative, this episode sucked. And the Peyton car accident was pointless.
Peyton should have been on a neck brace, btw.
April 20th, 2009 at 11:33 pm
i guess as a leyton fan, i just see that there is a LACK of other characters… but as an anti-leyton fan, you see that there is an ABUNDANCE of leyton… i think that is where our opinions differ? lol
April 20th, 2009 at 11:35 pm
same here, I had myself questioning why the stupid car wreck even happened? I mean can someone please give tell me the point of that since it was cleared up in 3 seconds. I don’t know the episode just had a wrong feel, like they were trying to be heartfelt but nothing about the episode was really. The acting was MAJORLY off with everyone; it was embarrasing to watch for the most part.
April 20th, 2009 at 11:37 pm
haha exactly steph. and chels i couldn’t agree more. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THAT WRECK?!?!?! it lasted .5 seconds then everyone was going on with their day to day lives lol. it was really odd. there are a lot of things about tonight’s episode that are way over my head lol
April 20th, 2009 at 11:40 pm
They should have gone the cancer route with Peyton.
This baby stuff is pissing me off.
April 20th, 2009 at 11:44 pm
i agree. cancer had so much more potential then the pregnancy does
April 20th, 2009 at 11:50 pm
Yea, cancer would have been better, but do you seriously think the writers could have written the storyline well? I mean cancer is such a big issue and i just don’t know if i’d trust these writers to give it the justice it needs.
April 20th, 2009 at 11:54 pm
No. You’re right. They would not have written it well.
We need to send P,H,L,B,N to HBO (or another network with better writers) where the writing is top-notch.
April 20th, 2009 at 11:54 pm
probably true. i mean if they’re not doing a great job with something like pregnancy then they probably couldn’t handle something as heavy as cancer
April 20th, 2009 at 11:55 pm
Lp are definitely being shoved to the back burner it seems. The point of the wreck is was to give them a reason to tell people about Peyton’s condition in a dramatic way, it also gives Lucas something to do for the rest of the season in fixing the Comet.
April 21st, 2009 at 12:01 am
Yea i figured and that just annoys me. Honestly, i don’t even think their own wedding will focus on them too much since the list of updated scenes seems to indicate focus on other characters. It’d just be nice if the writers could at least give us the wedding day, but it doesn’t seem to likely at this point.
April 21st, 2009 at 12:05 am
i disagree… im sure their wedding will be wonderful! i think their wedding is something that mark has been waiting to write just as long as us leyton fans have been waiting to see it… im sure he’ll do their wedding justice
April 21st, 2009 at 12:07 am
i have a feeling youre right leytonkillsbrucas… atleast i hope so
April 21st, 2009 at 12:09 am
^Eh call me a pessimist but I just don’t think it’s safe to put much faith in Mark anymore.
April 21st, 2009 at 12:24 am
Sam/Jack
Mouth/Millie
Nate/Nino
Victoria
Skills/Jamie’s Teacher/and those kids
.
.
.
GET OFF MY SCREEN!
Enjoyed LP/BP/HP-M tho. that is all.
April 21st, 2009 at 12:31 am
I’d like that to be true, but like Annabelle Penelope Scott said having faith in Mark is alot harder now with the way this season has gone. He likes to rush things and i’m afraid that’s how he’ll treat the LP wedding. I don’t know that’s my only hope for this show anymore: get the wedding right.
April 21st, 2009 at 12:31 am
Wow.. disappointement..

I was afraid this would happen. They make it seem like the whole episode is going to have Peyton in the hospital but instead all it has to do with is the comet..
Too much Millie&Mouth.. I did my hair during their scenes, so not worth watching. Neither were the Sam&Jack scenes. And Victoria at the end??? WTF?!?!
Whoever said this show is going downhill… this show is going WAY downhill..
I bet if you put all the core 5 time together it would be the same or less then the secondary time. BOO.
But.. I will continue to watch.. but just for my core 5 + Jamie, Julian, Dan and Skills.
April 21st, 2009 at 12:37 am
the only scenes i really hated were the mouth/millie scenes. every other scene fell between tolerable and pretty good. loved the leyton. lucas talking to the baby was adorable. i also find myself really liking jack/sam stuff, it kinda sucks that he’s gone now.
an okay ep, nothing special, though certainly not the worst.
April 21st, 2009 at 12:42 am
this episode sucked! one of the worst out of this season.
April 21st, 2009 at 12:49 am
Oh We will get our LP wedding/reception/LP-time in that episode. But I know, EVERYTHING else in that episode going to be over-shadowed them. We got BP/BL/PJu/Naley/Nate-Mouth/Nick-Julian/Jamie-Skills and no telling within all those people, they will have other scenes with each other and other adding characters.
Besides.. Look at Naley’s second wedding.
April 21st, 2009 at 12:56 am
Not the best episode, but it happens. Overall I’ve enjoyed this season a lot, so it’s pretty easy to excuse one mediocre episode.. I find it amusing that a few people continuously bash the past 2 seasons yet have found nothing better to do then come here and complain after every episode…If it’s that miserable for you, maybe you need a break…Hopefully this was just a filler episode to get us to the end of the seasons massive storylines.
April 21st, 2009 at 12:59 am
I think we all have to remember what Joy said a while back… everyone gets their main stories and sometimes they are in the back a little bit. A lot has been around Brooke this season but everyone has gotten their time for a big story line (think past seasons as well!). Luke/Peyton aren’t big right now but the last like 3 episodes are all about them so that should be pretty understandable.
April 21st, 2009 at 1:13 am
I was really disapointed with the whole episode…i wanted to atleast see peyton in the ambulance and lucas getting the phone call and freaking out…or something. and when lucas found the comet peice on the road, did you not see peytons neck go flying…she should have a atleast been sore if not in a brace…overall VERY weak episode. they could have done so much more with the story lines…:(
April 21st, 2009 at 1:29 am
I agree. This epi could have been a lot better and was kind of a let down. The accident could have easily been made into a super intense and awesome episode on its own. Did anyone else notice that there was a ridiculous amount of commercials this epi?! It was ridiculous!! That MathHole comment had me ROLLING. I loved it. The Victoria/Sam interaction at the end? Weird. Really weird. I am really really glad that we finally found out specifically what is wrong with Peyton though. I looked it up and everything :]
April 21st, 2009 at 2:04 am
can peyton just die already? she is the most unlucky character of television history. kill her off now. half of oth viewers could care less if that happened. but of course the fans of this site will disagree with me completely since this site is leyton based sadly
April 21st, 2009 at 2:14 am
i have one word for this episode: LAME.
everything about it was just lame. my favorite part of the episode was naley’s storyline, and that was still boring. lame, lame, lame.
and why was peyton all smiley? she could die!! clearly brooke was the only one really really concerned. i wanted to see lucas way more freaked out.
April 21st, 2009 at 2:37 am
overall it was an okay episode.
things that i didn’t like about it were,
1) Lucas not seeming like he was that upset that Peyton was in the hospital. And Peyton leaving without a scratch from a car accident that looked like she could have gone home with a neck brace.
2) Victoria’s weird agenda with Brooke/Sam (The whole episode she was just walking around like a crazy woman)
3) A lot of girls crying in the episode (Sam, Brooke, Millie, etc). I understand Sam is upset by Julian leaving and I’m glad she told Brooke off on being stupid, but didn’t see fit for her to be crying about it.
April 21st, 2009 at 4:36 am
I’m a little disappointed too..
I thought the car accident storyline would be way more dramatic! Like someone already said here, I expected Peyton in an ambulance after the accident and maybe a scene where she enters the hospital and Lucas who is there and breaks down or something. Actually I expected something like that :’) So that was a little disappointed for me..
Also there were waaay to much Sam (and Jack) scenes this eppy! I think Jack is just soo boring and I hope he doesn’t return this season.. But I think he will pff
Not one of the worst episodes, but definitely not a very good one..
April 21st, 2009 at 4:44 am
I have to watch most of it on youtube, and it’s really nice being able to fast forward the mouth/millie scenes. Does anyone care? I don’t…
April 21st, 2009 at 7:49 am
The episode was ok….I liked seeing Lucas and skillz on the river court…I just love seeing Lucas in his sweats lol makes me think of the earlier seasons
I really miss Julian
and only in tree hill you would walk away from a car accident like that glad Peyton and baby are ok though…I still don’t like Victoria…looking forward to the rest of the season
April 21st, 2009 at 9:19 am
the episode was ok…prob expecting more since we’ve had a break i was wanting to see an amazing episode if you know what i mean..there were good moments loved the interaction between haley and peyton it was so sweet the scene at the end “being there is spirit wont do” aww and then haley playing with peytons hair..finally knowing what was wrong with peyton and the scene with brooke and peyton was powerfull we need more like that between the core 5!
Also loved the way lucas was so protective and not letting peyton do anything…true about the coment its much more than just a car
did anyone feel wierd watching skills after the allegations i did
also saw the promo for next week looks boring to me i just want to see leytons wedding!!
April 21st, 2009 at 9:48 am
I noticed the tatoo a while ago too. While this wasn’t the best episode ever, I did like the overall feel of the epi– kinda like back to the old days a bit. Everyone not acting quite so grown up. Maybe it was BP talking like they used to.
April 21st, 2009 at 9:50 am
And yes, EMZ, I was looking at Skills in a whole new light! I wonder why he was doing that??? I hope he doesn’t have some kind of addiction problem. Seems like he shouldn’t need the money . . . Aren’t they paying him enough???
April 21st, 2009 at 9:51 am
I really miss Julian/Brulian too. Can’t wait for him to come back!!!!!
April 21st, 2009 at 10:25 am
Well i actually liked this epi. Why is it that bad to focus on other caracters than lucas and peyton? And in an interview mark said that he wanted to show the softer side of V! I like it because we get others stories than the usuals… I do miss julian too who by the way is a second character!
April 21st, 2009 at 10:32 am
This episode was a big disappointment. The car accident was completely pointless and they had too much focus on secondary characters, who I don’t give a crap about (Sam/Jack & Mouth/Mille).
Worst scene of the episode has to be Mouth/Millie with the computer. WTF is that?
April 21st, 2009 at 10:34 am
I don’t think this episode was as bad as everyone’s saying it is. Yes, I think they could have done more with Peyton’s accident but most of the people on this site would scream bloody murder if anything bad were to happen to Peyton or her baby so, in that sense, you guys are contradicting yourselves. Nathan’s basketball scenes were great I thought and while a lot of people disagree, this show has always largely revolved around basketball and I like that they continue to keep it as one of the central focuses…plus, Nathan looks so damn sexy when he’s showing off haha. To me, there was one big thing missing from last night’s episode–JULIAN! There’s something so refreshing about his character and the way he vibes with not only Brooke but Lucas, Sam and Peyton as well. I can’t wait until he comes back!
April 21st, 2009 at 10:35 am
wtf JOY / Haley was in it for like 5 minutes so mad
April 21st, 2009 at 10:43 am
I actually like Victoria back, it seems like that is the only one Brooke stands up to. I did think it is wierd how she is with Sam.
I didn’t like how they didn’t show Lucas’ concern for Peyton…so really the point of the accident is to have a dramatic way to tell everyone the ‘condition.’ I also think it is weird that Haley and Brooke showed more concern than anyone else.
April 21st, 2009 at 11:21 am
We’re not mad because more time wasn’t spent on LP(although since their leaving it would be nice to have a substantial convo) but the fact that the time that’s left they’re using on completly pointless characters. It’s so bad that I bet if you counted up all the screentime for each character this episode sam and jamie would have the most. It just bugs me that the writers think we actually care about the secondary characters because we don’t.
April 21st, 2009 at 11:23 am
Just sayin, i think this episode had some serious potential and all of the promos and descriptions made it seem like it was gonna be amazing, but it turned out to be anything but. So, i mean i think it’s ok if people are pretty disappointed because this episode did not live up to the hype at all.
April 21st, 2009 at 11:33 am
lol there is some major over-reacting going on here!…the episode was OK…was just a bit of a let down coz of the break and anticipation…thought we would get more focus on the accident but its main purpose was to let peytons condition be known….this episode did have more potential and it lacked
LP,LN,PN,LH scenes..i mean when was the last time peyton and nathan talked?…did he not visit her while in tree hill? for once i wasnt bothered with the Sam/Jack scenes coz i knew that they would be the last ones,Victoria and Brooke drama is always fun and had some decent naley scenes..so it was OK…
April 21st, 2009 at 12:53 pm
Sam and Jack are blah, Mouth and Millie are blah, Skills with the teacher and playing basketball with the kids – blah, Jamie with the school – blah. Lucas after finding out about the accident – disappointment – I wanted to see a Lucas break down… oh, I forgot, Victoria blah, totally not understanding the end, either way blah.
Only good thing was that Nathan looked totally hot in a suit (when he was visiting the school for Jamie). Oh and Brooke looked gorgeous with her hair up.
April 21st, 2009 at 1:29 pm
Why are people saying its wierd that Brooke and Haley were concerned about Peyton.. um DUH theyve been best friends since they were like 7 and for like 7 years. Id HOPE they would be concerned about her!
April 21st, 2009 at 1:30 pm
Yeah, this episode wasn’t great. But it had its moments. I definitely agree with you guys that said that it wasnt worth the wait. hahaha
because it wasnt.
Anywho, i really missed BP & HP!! They’re so amazing together! I loved how they had 2 scenes each.
LP- Not enough scenes.. but very cute nonetheless.
I loove how Lucas is very protective and when he was talking to the baby. YAY! haha i loove that!
The rest is all filler screen suckers. hahaha just saying..
Ohh! Chad’s had that tattoo since forever. Beginning of Season 4, thats why he always had to wear a wrist band every time. Remember, he’d always wear a watch and a wrist band on each wrist cuz he has a cross tattoo on his left and the word “RELAX” on his right. Hahaha how do i know this? i dunno.. i just do i guess. hahaha & they allowed him to show it in season 5 cuz they’re older and what not. haha whatevvzz..
I just hope that next episode is better.
Isnt next epsiode James’? yeeah im excited!
April 21st, 2009 at 1:40 pm
Not impressed with this episode. Scene with Lucas explaining situation to Brooke- excellent acting from Sophia Bush…so believable. Could have made crash much more significant and/or dramatic!
Sam talking to Brooke about Julian= BORING! Why is she still talking about it, v.annoying!
April 21st, 2009 at 1:40 pm
What I would like to know from all the previous posters is WHAT CONSTITUTES A GOOD SHOW FOR YOU? Every week everyone complains about how bad the episode was. Why do you watch? Just to have something to complain about? Do you want 13 minutes of Haley and Nathan having sex, followed by 13 minutes of Lucas and Peyton having sex, followed by 13 minutes of Brooke and Julian having sex? Is that your good show? Followed by a promo of the same thing the following week, or maybe them trading partners?
April 21st, 2009 at 1:47 pm
Lol wow mary. Chill pill. People who are complaining about the show (myself included) don’t want the show you just described because that’s called a porno. What constitutes a good show would be One Tree Hill season 1-4 before the writers got lazy and started pulling plotlines out of their asses. A show like the one we used to watch before it got cluttered with people and storylines ranging from ridiculous to unimportant.
April 21st, 2009 at 1:50 pm
porno, LOL, good one….rofl *snort*
April 21st, 2009 at 1:50 pm
Oh Carline I agree 100 %
this epi was ok I guess lol since it’s the first time I watch an entire oth episode since epi 6×11…
but I have to say it was NOT worth the wait…
Victoria and Sam well… I think that Vic-whore see herself in SAm when she was her age… IDK just a feeling but seriously I don’t care about there scenes necessary ? NOPE
James looks hot in that red polo and his suit.
speeking of Nathan…. I agree : D
WHY didn’t he came to see PEYTON …. ?
seriously I MISSSS MY PATHAN SCENE
when was the last time they talked ?
oh yeah 5×02 arghhhh seriously if it continue like that
Nate and P won’t even talk at the wedding and he won’t even dance with her…. pathetic !
April 21st, 2009 at 2:28 pm
A good show in my opnion doesn’t focus on the secondary characters more than the MAIN characters. Most of us didn’t start watching this show to see Jamie and his storylines or Mouth and Millie makeup or even Jack and Sam have some epic romance. Most of us watch for N,H,B,L,P and most of this season they’ve just been “there” with nothing remotely interesting going on with them. It’s the last time we’ll probably ever see them all together, so they should at least focus on them for the last episodes. That’s the least they can give us.
April 21st, 2009 at 2:32 pm
I don’t know i’m just bitter at how horrible last night’s episode was, and i’m just expressing my opnion on here. I mean if they wrote something like that in the middle of the season you know fine, but it was one of the last episodes you’d think they’d kick it up a few notches.
April 21st, 2009 at 4:01 pm
his tatoo says relax he talked about it in a interview
the word goes from this rist up his arm
April 21st, 2009 at 4:02 pm
it’s a different one i saw. this is a cross. apparently it is old.
April 21st, 2009 at 6:08 pm
I love this episode!! Lucas was so protective..he acted like Peyton was 5 years old!! Protecting his two girls…cute
April 22nd, 2009 at 9:26 am
The episode wasn’t worth the wait AT ALL!!
I mean all these secondary characters are hogging the screen (Sam, Jamie, Mouth/Milli….blah)!! :@
and where is Haley’s storyline??! the girl is slowly fading from the show. give her some credit and great stories for God’s sake?!! Her talents are being wasted in this show!
and why Mark is sooo in love with car crashes that he has to make 1 or 2 of them each season?!
April 22nd, 2009 at 4:44 pm
Why the hell give the writers so much screentime to the secondary characters??? Who cares about Sam/Jack & Mouth/Millie? Way too long! They had more screentime than the core 5 … UNBELIEVABLE :-O
anyway, I enjoyed LP-BP-PH-LSkills- Haley family ’s scenes!
