Episode 24 Remember Me as a Time of Day Reaction
Best episode ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ok, not ever. But put the Pilot and that episode together and it might be the only One Tree Hill I’ll ever need.
AMAZING!!!!
Every single scene we (Heather and I) were freaking out or awwweing or almost crying or clapping or laughing or cheering. It was an amazing ride that quite honestly should be the series finale.
Every single person got what they wanted and honestly what else is there? What could they possibly come up with for Season 7 that could anywhere close to compare? I may officially start boycotting for the show to end which honestly? Never thought I could get to that point.
So many good things in this episode. I really don’t think I’ll get them all down.
Sawyer Brooke Scott? Perfection.
Lucas saying Daddy’s got you? Perfection.
Lucas and Karen on the front porch? Oh my goodness. How handsome Lucas has become. He literally has turned into a man. How scared and unsure of himself he was back then. Worried about his mother. And he still was a little unsure of being a father but not in a weak sort of way. Just that omg, I have a child now what that all parents feel. And Karen was there to back him up. It was so beautiful to see them together. That scene for sure was my favorite out of the whole episode. Perfection.
Victoria coming WAY out of character to tell Brooke what she needed? Perfection. Although I do have to say it was kind of weird for her to talk about being in love with someone other than Brooke’s father. Hmm. Anyway. We’ll call it Perfection.
Mouth announcing Nathan going to the NBA to Jamie? Perfection.
Brooke finally letting Julian in? Perfection.
Whitey coming back? Perfection.
Lucas and Peyton driving off in the Comet? Perfection. And let me say…Heather and I were freaking out because that scene where they drive off at the end…that’s the scene that Mark was scouting out when we met him at the RC. Ahhhh!
Man, someone stop me!! I don’t mean to belabor the point but WOW, that was an amazing episode!
Is it just me or should that be series finale? Was it as good as Heather and I think? What were your favorite parts?

I’m with you both…it felt like the series finale to me and I was completely happy with it. The voice over at the end was absolutely perfect. I can’t imagine what stories they have left to tell.
May 18th, 2009 at 10:30 pm
That definitely should have been the series finale. It wrapped everything up AMAZINGLY. It all seemed so final, that I don’t even know what they can possibly do in a 7th season. As much as I was rooting for the 7th season, I’m kind of disappointed now that they ended the 6th season like this in anticipation of another season.
May 18th, 2009 at 10:36 pm
PERFECTION! no other word for it. peyton meeting sawyer for the first time was probably one of my all time favorite moments in the show ever. and HOW CUTE was sawyer’s smile in the final scene in the comet?
the final voiceover from lucas and peyton about dreams coming true… then going from them driving off together in the comet to the rivercourt where their journey started “i’ll be seein ya” was pure genius! mark i love you!!!
May 18th, 2009 at 10:45 pm
OMG!!!!! You hit everything on the head!!! PERFECTION is right. I loved everything about it. And the scene with Lucas, Peyton and Sawyer in the hospital was ADORABLE!!! I cried, Clapped, and screamed. It was amazing. I do honestly think it should be the series finale. It was the perfect ending. I dont see how it can get any better. Best season yet.

As much as I was rooting for a season 7, I really feel like tonite’s epi should have been the series finale. I really feel like Mark has a lot up his sleeve for next season but tonite’s episode wrapped it up so perfectly. I will give it a shot though.
It was a great epsiode that’s all I know to say.
May 18th, 2009 at 10:56 pm
I will definitely have to watch this episode again to process it all, but all I can say is there is no way this show will succeed without Lucas & Peyton
May 18th, 2009 at 10:57 pm
that was absolutely amazing… i honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more. i agree with everyone else, the scene in the hospital with Lucas, Peyton, and Sawyer together for the first time was perfect. i’m so sad that they are gone, but i can’t even be bitter about it, because of how perfect of an ending we got. Sawyer was absolutely adorable, and just completed Leyton’s family so perfectly! her smile at the end had me absoultely cracking up.. it was so freaking cute.
and obviously i’m happy for Naley that their dreams came true (even though i HATE the basketball storyline, and am so incredibley tired of it), and I LOVE BRULIAN! i might actually consider watching next season just for them
still not understanding why this wasn’t the series finale but… whatever!
PERFECT!!!

SERIES FINALE & PERFECTION!
I couldn’t agree with you more. I think that the entire episode was amazing (minus the WAY too many scenes of Chase/Mia & Mouth/Millie, whom I normally love but felt super annoying this ep). I am officially calling this episode the fan’s series finale. OTH S7 is going to be a diffferent show with the same characters. So dear Mark, please don’t continue. Let One Tree Hill end in all its glory.
May 18th, 2009 at 10:57 pm
i have to disagree with you. i thought it was boring, and nothing going on. i did like the brooke/ julian moments, but thats it. how about haley being used as a prop this whole episode. it did wipe the the slate clean to start fresh next season. like they did in season 4.
May 18th, 2009 at 10:58 pm
It was perfection, no doubt about it. And the finally shot of the river court?? Oh god, that was perfect.
Im sorry they CANNOT have another season. Even if Leyton was coming back, they just CANT. This is it. Everyone realized their dreams. Everyone got everything they ever wanted. A seventh season is stretching it. God.. it was just perfect. perfect perfect perfect!!!
I just realized something; not only will fans of Leyton not come back (well some of them) but a lot of people who think that this is the series finale (because a lot of people think it is) I dont know.. it would be nice if they could just not have another season. Please. I just got my fairytale ending for everyone! no more. besides how else are they going to end season 7? OH OH ME I KNOW! The same way. Except maybe Haley will have a record out, Brulian will get married, Nathan will be an NBA star. I just.. ugh..
May 18th, 2009 at 10:59 pm
yaaa maybe you got everything you wanted but all us brucas fans got nothing so thanks for rubbing that in !
and i dont think this was a “PERFECT” episode it wasnt even that good ! the only thing i really liked was karen and whitey coming back.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:03 pm
the final shot of the rivercourt with lucas’ voiceover about dreams coming true, after him driving off with peyton and the baby was pure genius. the fact that THAT is where his journey with peyton started “i’ll be seein’ ya”, and THAT was the final shot of their last episode referring to dreams coming true… just heartwrenching! they made it!! <3
May 18th, 2009 at 11:03 pm
I have to say I agree 100%. I sat watching this with my girlfriend just waiting for something crazy to happen. Every season finale of this show there is always the typical crazy cliffhanger. This there was nothing it never came and it honestly felt like this was the last episode because every loose end was finally wrapped up. It makes me feel like maybe they wrote this not knowing they were going to get an extra season and now that they tied it up there like screwed lol. I mean honestly what more can they do? I love the show and dont want it to end but this was perfect ending.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:04 pm
ita lisa. it was a crappy ending to a crappy season. thank god they are having another season. it was such a boring episode.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:05 pm
Series finale – yes and it was oh so perfect. Oh my goodness!!
May 18th, 2009 at 11:05 pm
It felt like Leyton’s ending…
I wonder if this was written as the series finale. . .
May 18th, 2009 at 11:06 pm
I agree 99%. I watched the epi remembering the pilot.
Lucas got Peyton, and a baby.
Nathan got the NBA
Brooke got love from her mother, success, money, and true love.
But what about Haley? What about her dreams? Haley walked away from music and teaching.
The voiceovers at the end spoke of dreams…
I’m pleased as punch that everyone reached their dreams.
despite the lack of Haley,I agree this was THE series finale.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:06 pm
I REALLY wish that there was Haley and Lucas interaction. They are best friends and Haley did not even congratulate Lucas. Since this started out about a show about two brothers I also REALLY wished they would of had a Nathan/Lucas interaction. Where was Larry? I think it lacked some. I am really sad to see Chad and Hilarie go. I liked how Karen and Whitey were back, but….
May 18th, 2009 at 11:07 pm
how was is it perfect? what did haley get at the end? oh, thats right she is the perfect prop. im happy that there is going to be another season.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:09 pm
I think you nailed that one right on the head-perfection. Everything about this episode was perfect. From Sawyer Brooke Scott to Karen and Whitey coming back (and yess, I loved Karen and Lucas on the front porch-just like old times) to Brooke saying “I Love You” to Julian to Nathan finally getting his dream to be in the NBA. This episode truly defined perfection and will go down as one of my favorites. It was very uncharacteristic of One tree hill for it to be a season finale, it seemed more like a series finale. And in some ways I wish it was. It endend as I have always imagined one tree hill to end. Everything was tied up perfectly. I just hope Mark has some more stories up his sleeve and can make season 7 as magical as the first six have been. And it just doesn’t seem like the Peyton/Lucas epic romance tale is over yet. The Voice over at the end was amazing. One of my favorite parts of one tree hill ever. Perfection.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:09 pm
ahhhhh!!!! this episode made me love leyton even more.. i didn’t even know that was possible. sawyer was the perfect addition to their relationship. i’m actually glad that we just got to see them come together as a family, but we don’t have to see sawyer take over their lives (like jamie did naley’s). this ending was everything i hoped it would be.
and i never thought i’d say this but i was actually happy for nathan tonight too! as much as i hate the never ending basketball storyline, i would have been pissed if we had to sit through 6 seasons of it and he didn’t even make it to the NBA in the end.
and YAY brulian!
May 18th, 2009 at 11:09 pm
This epsiode was PERFECTION you touched on everything. I was feeling the same was that this is the series final to meevery so wonder and speacial epic but I realized at the end of season 4 everyone felt that should have been the final that it was perfect and ended bueatiful they way it started with the brother and there was no way Mark could top it when the time came for a real finale. Yet 2yrs later mark came back with this and MY GOD so I can only image what he has in store for the real one. This reasured me that you never know what Mark has in store, and what’s left in his creative tank.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:10 pm
I think this should be the series finale the episode was perfect.
Season 7 has alot to bring to be better than season 6 whcih I dont really think is possible.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:13 pm
Because how can we possbily have a better series finale without leyton anyways I’m just saying. Everyone got what they wanted and it was so perfect especially with whitey and karen back.
Maybe season 7 will fail and that will make it the series finale. I just loved it
May 18th, 2009 at 11:13 pm
i can see the day when Sawyer grows up and asks how she got her middle name. Peyton: “oh she is my best friend and the girl your father lost his virginity to.” how adorable.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:13 pm
i agree kelly. haley didnt get anything, just like this whole season. i remember when a lot of people were saying that season 4 was the perfect ending. but season 5 ended up being great.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:16 pm
Sarah **Leyton & Sawyer- why would you want season 7 to fail. just because leyton is not going to be on there, dont hope that it wil fail. there still are fans that will watch, if you dont want to then dont
May 18th, 2009 at 11:16 pm
perfection.
this WAS the series finale.
cause im not watching s7. and neither are ANY of my friends. so yeah.
but. everything. was. perfection.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:18 pm
To me this was the series finale, everything wrapped up perfectly, exactly the way I wanted it too.
Personally, I will not be back for the 7th season, simply because I do not want to wreak this perfect image of one tree hill I have in my head, of course this will probably change if all of a sudden I hear it is amazing lol
But yeah, that finale was perfect : )
May 18th, 2009 at 11:20 pm
It was a beautiful wrap on this season’s storylines…for everyone but Haley. As a Haley fan, if THAT was supposed to be the series finale, I’d be extremely pissed. I’m really happy for all the other characters, it was amazingly executed for them, and I realize that Haley didn’t even have a storyline to wrap up in the first place, but Haley literally had speaking lines in 3 scenes. So much for the Core “5″ huh? I’m trying to appreciate the finale, but the only thing that’s keeping me from being completely disappointed is Season 7.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:20 pm
there are no words right now. seriously. PERFECT.
Sawyer Scott = CUTEST BABY EVER!
May 18th, 2009 at 11:24 pm
i agree whole-heartedly with you! that was a series finale. at least for me. i dont plan to watch season 7 but i will see the premiere just out of curiosity of what it will be like without Lucas Scott (the heart of the series). it just won’t be OTH for me, more of a spin-off, lol. but yeah, this episode was awesome and i love it
May 18th, 2009 at 11:26 pm
i loved the episode
BUT IF IM A TAD HONEST I AM A LITTLE UPSET
THERE WERE NO GOODBYES, NOT ONE PALEY SCENE!
I REALLY HOPE THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR EXITANCE NEXT SEASON
and explain where they are properly
and i may be greedy but i need guest appearances (deff in the series finale whenever it is)
i will continue to watch
but that was BITTERSWEET
i was in tears the whole epi and i NEVER cry
anywho its 4:20 am in England I should be asleep hehe
OMG what am I gonna do till next season – wait for season 6 to start in England and trying and not tell my friend what happen
May 18th, 2009 at 11:28 pm
can someone post the voiceover from the end please?
May 18th, 2009 at 11:28 pm
and when Brooke said I will spoil you < well she cant coz we wont get to see Sawyer grow up
but i really hope Haley gets a big story line next yeaar she deserves it
May 18th, 2009 at 11:28 pm
Perfect ending…..thought everyones acting was spot on…espescially CMMs in the hospital b4 peyton woke up!..got emotional right there!….maybe a little more leyton screentime together would of been good but hey..im just being greedy now!
May 18th, 2009 at 11:30 pm
Perfection is correct. I absolutely agree with you guys.
Series Finale. That was it. It was perfect.
6 amazing years of watching this show and it indeed has come perfectly full circle.
I was BAWLING the whole episode!
I actually loved ALL storylines. The loose ends are tied.
What else is there to say or do?
That was an amazing ending.
Everyone’s dreams came true all core 5. Even the secondary characters.
You guys are so right. It really was PERFECTION.
That’s the right word.
I’m just really sad and bummed and kind of numb..
Really perfect episode.
We already have the greatest ending, no matter what. ♥
May 18th, 2009 at 11:30 pm
Its funny to hear alot of people say they are not going to watch season 7. At the end of the day, I think we are all die hard one tree hill fans and you know your curious to know what will happen in season 7. With that said, tonights episode was great. Im looking forward to seeing whats in store for brooke next season, and Im hopeful to see a few lucas/peyton/sawyer guest appearances….(fingers crossed)
May 18th, 2009 at 11:31 pm
gotta admit, ive never really “shipped” LP (or brucas for that matter, im soley a naley fan), but it was impossible not to like leyton, and not to be happy for them this episode. they were absolutely glowing, and you could really see how happy they were to start their family and that all their dreams came true. that sawyer was one cute baby!
YAHHHH for naley too! thank god that nathan finally made it to the nba after 6 seasons of struggling to get there. wish haley had more scenes, but i was still happy for them as a couple, and as a family tonight. brulian was cute too… i really like julian. im baffled as to why this wasnt the series finale
May 18th, 2009 at 11:33 pm
It was good episode i definitley wouldn’t call it perfect. There were moments that were touching like jamie and haley finding out about the NBA very cute (little tear but a happy one) ,peyton looking at sawyer for the first time w/luke (tear there too), dan and whitey when they hugged whoever thought that would happen, karen and lucas. I liked when they showed nate on the big screen you felt proud cuz u know how hard he has worked for this moment and finally beat dan and that look he gave dan was great. When whitey hugged nate its like he was the proud father and his real father had died. I could’ve done w/out mia/chase and millie/ mouth yawn. Everyone is right what dream did haley get to have of her own i hope she gets it in S7 she deserves it. I don’t know what their gonna for S7 but mark good luck.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
How cool is it that they used a Gin Wigmore song in the finale. She is from Auckland New Zealand, the home of the real One Tree Hill.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
lol who loved barry corbin and his cowboy hat!!!!!!!!
May 18th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
okay… here are my thoughts on tonight…
as much as i LOVE this show… this totally should have been the last episode. i’ve been trying to stay positive and optimistic about season 7, but i’m sorry, this ending was just too perfect. why would they want to ruin that? i just don’t get it.
there ARE a couple things that bothered me tonight though. first of all, did anyone else find it weird that PEYTON named the baby Sawyer? i mean yeah, it’s a cute name, but usually when a name gets passed down, doesn’t someone else offer to name a baby after you? i mean do people usually name babies after themselves? that seems a little odd and self centered to me. i think it would have been really cute if Lucas named the baby Sawyer while Peyton was still unconcious, that would have been sweet, it would have showed how much he cared about Peyton. but for PEYTON to name the baby after herself, i don’t know, that didn’t sit right with me for some reason…
and also… i’m sorry but WHY the hell did MIA have a part in the voiceover?!?!?! like are you kidding me Mark? that should have been something that the core 5 did, and no one else. she has no business being a part of that. it drove me nuts.
BUT other than that, i thought it was really good. i’m loving Brulian, and am actually excited about seeing them next season. i’m kinda looking forward to seeing what happens with Dan too. i really felt bad for him tonight. hopefully he’ll be back next season and people will start to forgive him
May 18th, 2009 at 11:38 pm
i am very pleased w/ the season finale! although i am agreeing with everyone on here. it should have been the series finale.
i mean, Chad and Hilarie are not coming back. So i expected a little bit more of a closure from them. i mean where do they end up?
oth writers basically left us with everyone coming back for s7 besides LP and im not quite sure how that’s going to fit into the show. Do they just disappear?
Anyways, besides the LP ending, i LOVED everything about tonight’s episode! from the voiceovers, to karen and whiteys return, to nathan finally making the NBA, to brooke and julian!
Ahh it was magical!!!
i still just wish that for being chad and hil’s last episode, oth writers would have had more of a closure for their characters…
May 18th, 2009 at 11:43 pm
I say I wont watch.. but yeah Ill still watch. lol. Maybe 3 months will be enough to forget this finale and start fresh. I really only want a seventh season for Haley. I need her to get her fairy-tale ending. Then Ill be happy.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:44 pm
my theory is that they’ll have a time jump..maybe a year or so and we’ll just hear about lucas and peyton living somewhere else becoz of his book or her label or something…but whats with the brulian?.coz either she has to move to L.A. or he has to move to tree hill and i cant see too many major movie being shot there…
May 18th, 2009 at 11:44 pm
Perfect finale!! I was weeping the entire episode, each and every storyline was amazing!! I seriously want Mark right now to put an announcement that says that season 6 is the last season, and that there’s not going to be a season 7. That the spoilers were fake and everything. I mean, what else could they do to the show? everyones happy, everyone accomplished their dream, everythng’s perfect. Why more? I mean don’t get me wrong, I love loooove OTH and all but it was such an amazing finale that let it be, don’t do any more!
But I’m still a loyal fan and I’ll watch it till the end but let’s just hope that season 7 kicks ass as this season did, seriously, this has been the best season so far!
May 18th, 2009 at 11:45 pm
i think they left it open so they can come back as guest. like karen and whitey, its better then killing em off.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:50 pm
lindcasfan, i never would have noticed the whole peyton-naming-the-baby thing, but now that you mention it… it does seem a little untraditional. not that i necessarily think thats a negative thing, but still. and mia getting a part in the voiceover is complete and utter CRAP!!!
May 18th, 2009 at 11:55 pm
That was one of the best episodes of OTH I’ve seen in a long time. And it should definitely serve as the Series Finale. I don’t know what they are gonna do next season after that, but hopefully we will see lots of appearances from the new little Scott Family.
May 18th, 2009 at 11:58 pm
CAN ANYONE POST THE VOICEOVER?
May 19th, 2009 at 12:00 am
Ok I love the finale but i was a little disappointed with the end I dont get it i thought CMM and HB where not coming back for next season and so they ended the end like that… come on six seasons of being on the show from the Pilot episode and they just leave it like that.. doesn’t even show them leaving. just on a nice drive with baby sawyer… i guess they leave it open for them to come back but they could of did there goodbyes way better but other then that the show was awesome.
May 19th, 2009 at 12:05 am
What an amazing episode!! Im so sad I have to wait till the end of summer to watch this season again!! I agree with everyones favorite parts!!! My only negative is that James Lucas Scott has a better cellphone than I do and he is SIX YEARS OLD!!!
May 19th, 2009 at 12:13 am
I am 100% with you guys it should have been the series finale because everyone got what they wanted. What more could you want. First of all Lucas and Peyton their happily ever after like I always thought it would be. All of their scenes were perfection as you put it very well.
My favorite scene of those 2 would have to be when Lucas is holding the baby and playing with her and Peyton walks in. There is the family I love and have grown to love the past 6 years. That I will never forget as my ABSOLUTE favorite couple of ALL TIME!! The other favorite scene was their last scene of the show the bittersweet moment for me because it made me fall in love with Leyton all over again. It’s like the pilot when their eyes first lock. Pure perfection of the love they have for each other. I’m sorry but this couple will truly be missed and I’m sad to see the go as for me they were the couple that could survive anything no matter where they were. They helped me with a lot of things in life and I kind of grew up with them. Which I think made me a stronger person.
As for Naley I use to be a big fan of them but not so much recently, but this episode made me become a fan again. Bringing back the love of naley and why I loved them in the first place. Nathan finally getting his dream of playing in the NBA. Both Haley’s and Jamie’s faces were priceless when they both found out that he made it. And Haley sticking by him all these years. I’m sorry to say this but it’s about time. I’m getting sick of him saying someone else made it blah blah blah. Now it’s his turn.
For the Brulian scenes all I can say is IT WAS ABOUT TIME. I’m in ahh and joy right now knowing that Brooke was able to let someone in again. Loved Brooke because finally she got what she wanted he got what he wanted, her, and he got someone who loved her.
I loved the Brooke and Victoria scene it was about time.
The rest of the episode was done well bittersweet at most. But we could have done without somethings but otherwise probably my favorite episode of any season because it brought back sweet moments and brought together great people.
so for me this should have been a series finale because everyone got what they wanted, lucas and peyton got the family they always wanted together, Nathan got his dream of playing in the NBA, Brooke finally got a man who loves her and she’s finally ready to let someone in.
This is what I call a great episode. Everything all wrapped in one!
This episode will ever be bittersweet and happiness and will always be in the bottom of my heart because it made me realize that life is worth living. Live while you can because you may not always get the moments you want but when you do it makes you have life changes. so go for it when you have the chance. Don’t wait.
May 19th, 2009 at 12:15 am
Haley is a big quitter and deserves to have nothing going on for her. She quit music because it was a strain on her marriage. Well duh, any musician would tell you that. So sorry you have to WORK hard to get back in the business.
She quit teaching at the first bump in the road. She spent all those years in college persuing another “dream” only to dump it when the actual job of teaching got HARD for her. It couldn’t have been much of a dream if she can dump it so fast. Seriously, it’s a good thing that Nathan got to the NBA, because she has set herself up to live vicariously through Nathan, Jaimie, and even Mia.
Of course I know that Haley isn’t a real person, just a character. she’s not a bad person, she’s just written that way. I seriously don’t like the way her character’s story has been written. But then again, she IS somewhat representative of the girls who get pregnant in high school and live through their husbands and children and have no dreams left for themselves. So sad.
May 19th, 2009 at 12:15 am
^haha i know OTHforlife, i noticed Jamie having a cell phone too. i seriously had to stop for a second and make sure i heard that right… he is 5 years old for crying out loud! i wonder about Mark’s obsession with Jamie sometimes… lol
May 19th, 2009 at 12:15 am
After watching One Tree Hill from the very beginning all the way to tonight’s episode I can say that as a fan I was truly rewarded with a classic ending to an epic story.
Many thanks to Mark Schwahn for such wonderful writing and story telling. He did his fans proud tonight. Those that have been with the show as die hard fans since day one were given something really special tonight. It will take some time for this to really sink in for me. I will miss Lucas and I will miss Peyton. Tree Hill will never be the same again. I have faith that with this ending there is a new beginning, a new journey, and more wonderful stories that will spring from the mind of Mark Schwahn to draw me in and keep me captivated once again.
If not… I am still left with an awesome collection of DVD’s from One Tree Hill that I can always go back and revisit.
May 19th, 2009 at 12:19 am
OMG OMG OMG i can’t stop saying that ok I loooooooooovvvvvvvvveeeeeeee OTH but if mark can do a better job than this in season 7 i will PERFECT. beautiful, simple, emotional, heartfelt, sad, oh God this was the best episode eeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr
i didnt expect to cry and llaugh and cheer up i felt like i was on a freaking roller coster.
I LOVEd IT.
May 19th, 2009 at 12:22 am
This should of been the series finale. THIS WAS THE BEST FINALE IN TV WORLD EVER. PERFECT ENDING IT WAS. Where will storylines go from here. It should of ended.
May 19th, 2009 at 12:25 am
Let’s hear it for secondary characters! Millie and Mouth were so cute. Mia and Chase looked gorgeous, both of them. Great to see Karen and Whitey and Dan in this episode. I am getting bored with so much Jamie, 5 year olds don’t talk like that and I’m tired of his lines sounding like a 14 year old’s.
I cried through most of the entire episode. Loved just about every aspect of it. I liked the open-endedness of it, very similar to the end of season 4. So Season 7 will be the 3rd incarnation of OTH, that’s okay. I will either like it or I won’t. I will either watch or I won’t. Life goes on, it’s a TV show. Can’t wait to see what the future holds.
May 19th, 2009 at 12:26 am
Ok, this episode was great. I loved it, and I hate to say it, but that should have been the series finale. Everyone’s dreams came true and they were all happy, it was just great.
However, having said that, I have to admit that I didn’t love the episode as much as I wanted to. I know they had a lot to tell in just one hour, but it all seemed a little rushed to me, like they were squeezing everything into that one hour, which they were. I don’t know, I loved the episode, don’t get me wrong, but I just felt that there was too much jammed in to really really enjoy it.
But I still loved it. I still laughed and cried and jumped for joy when Nathan made it to the NBA (but seriously, why isn’t he #23??) And why does Jamie have a cellphone at the age of 6? And where exactly are Lucas and Peyton going? I hope they address that in season 7 when they don’t turn up. I’m so going to miss them and little Sawyer Brooke Scott. As rushed as the episode felt, though, it was still true OTH, maybe the last we will ever get. It was the end of an era and I think they did it justice.
May 19th, 2009 at 12:28 am
Oh god I was going to mention Jamie having a cell phone. like what the hell?!?! I think they just wanted to add humor. But still. It looked like a better phone then mine.
stupid 5 year old (okay 6 year old, same difference.) Actually, Blaire had my phone on Gossip Girl so I guess I shouldnt complain. lol.
May 19th, 2009 at 12:30 am
MARK I FREAKING LOVE YOU!!! i cannot stop watching this episode. the hospital scene and the living room scene with LP+sawyer are just priceless… so freaking adorable
May 19th, 2009 at 12:36 am
okay so i have no yet finished the other seasons, or really even this one. I have only watched the first season and 9 episodes into the second season. I wanted to watch this episode really badly so I watched it anyway. I’m so very glad I did. This episode was golden and the reason why I love One Tree Hill so much, only 1 1/2 season into it. That’s gotta mean something right? One Tree Hill is love. You feel the emotions and pain that the characters feel. My favorite part was when Whitey and Dan were talking and Dan asked Whitey to kill him. I totally felt his pain and it was amazing. No I don’t think this should be the end. Maybe I will once I’ve finished the other seasons but to me it doesn’t feel finished.
May 19th, 2009 at 12:49 am
ok i loved the episode. nothing to complain about. but ONE thing. did no one notice brooke and julian with the lucas peyton line in “you dont know me?” that was the ONLY thing that mad me pissy, other than Karen not LAYING into Dan’s a**. that i would have loved!
May 19th, 2009 at 12:52 am
I think if the two main characters are not coming back then i think it should have been the series finale sorry say but all the characters lives had the perfect ending and think to carry on the show with that perfect ending to season six might not top it off. I loved how Whitey had a gun with Dan in the living room and i think that dan had a good ending as well, it looked like he wanted redemption but it never works out. I did not like the beginning because how the promos put more emphases on peyton and lucas in the hospital when it was like only 5 minutes of the show. But i did like the dad and baby scene together with lucas and an actual newborn and how we saw how the baby grew up etc. Since Chad Michael Murray is not in South Carolina i might see him now when he comes back home to Buffalo, i see him all the time at the mall
May 19th, 2009 at 1:04 am
i agree 99% becuase the other 1% of me is very excited for season 7 and what the future holds for my favorite tv show! I cant wait for it!
May 19th, 2009 at 1:10 am
Best. Series. Finale. EVER!!!!! Thank you, Mark.
May 19th, 2009 at 1:11 am
the ONLY ONLY ONLY thing i have to complain about it….is no final Lucas/Haley scene. I LOVE them and their relationship and that makes me sad to never really see another one :[ haha. but all in all...obviously an amazing finale. reminds me of season 4....everything being happy and perfect. i LOVED the Peyton/Brooke scene :] i was perfectly happy with that being their last scene. it was amazing. ah. have to stop now…the tears wont stop and i cant read what im saying ;]
May 19th, 2009 at 1:18 am
Lovely episode, really better than what I was expecting for sure. Cried the entire episode!! Was a little bummed not see naley with their niece and no lucas and nathan, lucas should have been at nates game. But other than that, absolutely worth the wait! Sawyer Brooke Scott! Perfection. And so great to see Karen. Probably my favorite oth episode, next to season 4 finale. Greatness. And I’m looking at this as a series finale to oth and next season a new show with some of my favorite actors and some of my most favorite characters of all time. Thank you mark!
May 19th, 2009 at 1:23 am
OMG MEGAN YES! i was soo mad about that. all the brucas fans get all pissy when lucas uses lines he used with brooke on peyton. That is Peyton’s thing. but other than that, LOOOVEEEEEEED the episode! cannot wait to buy season 6
May 19th, 2009 at 1:25 am
I have a question, was there a time jump? because otherwise, that baby grew up fast. i mean, he wasn’t even supporting the neck and thats not good, and the baby just looked all grown up. lol
May 19th, 2009 at 1:30 am
I Just Hope They Don’t Start Season Seven
With Peyton Dead And This Episode Her Dying Dream. This Show Has Never Been About The Happy Ending. At The Heart Of It It Has Been About The Journey.
May 19th, 2009 at 1:33 am
Nope no time jump. The OTH time line is just screwy. lol.
its not fair!! ) and Haley was the only one who didnt get closure.. cause well she never had a storyline to begin with. Oh and a third thing, Nathan & Lucas interaction. But other then that, it was perfect. But I guess not every episode can have exactly what we hope for.
Okay, I have two things I didnt like about this episode. (well that were missing) Haley & Lucas interaction (god now Im crying about this now.. like he’s never coming back – except for a couple of guest appearances – so why didnt they at least get a minute to themselves?!
May 19th, 2009 at 1:55 am
perfection for leyton fans. it only felt like a series finale because chad and hilarie leaving so thats why they ended the season like that. I don’t care that it felt a little like series finale because i want to know what happens with brooke and haley and nathan. they still have stories to tell and leyton can just forever be on the road or whatever.
May 19th, 2009 at 2:13 am
Where was Skills? Other than that, such a great episode. I realised I actually miss Whitey! After watching it I’m not so sad that Leyton and the baby are leaving, I was loving the Brulian moments and I think that they are my new Leyton. I didn’t like the name Sawyer I think it sounds boyish?! But the baby smiling at the end… the cutest thing, ever! I think it would have been better if it was a series finale, but Mark always seems to know how to end a season in a great way. It’ll be interesting to see what season 7 will bring:)
May 19th, 2009 at 2:17 am
Loved tonight’s episode and I agree Amy, it should have been a series finale.
I honestly have no clue what they are going to do in season 7. Everyone already reached their dreams, whats left to tell?
May 19th, 2009 at 2:37 am
Canadian Girl eh, Mark did say he wrote this finale as a series finale regardless of there being a season 7, that’s why it seemed so final.
Either way it’s my perfect series finale, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m now officially done with this show.
Lucas/Peyton/Sawyer = Cutest family ever
May 19th, 2009 at 2:50 am
So, um, let me get this straight, you all love the show but find expanding on what happens to most of the characters for another season to be unbearable…Um, OK. great season finale, great wrap up for Leyton (even though I am willing to bet we’ll here from them. Looking forward to seeing more, even if it won’t be the exact same thing…
May 19th, 2009 at 3:28 am
Im actually looking forward to seeing what happens Season 7, anything could happen and thats the exciting part. I wonder if it will still be based in Tree Hill or whether it might be LA? Maybe LP have gone to LA and they have a closing scene with Brullian to wrap things up? OMG and I LOVE BRULLIAN so much!
Oh and one last thing to the LP shippers who arn’t going to watch next Season – What happens if LP ARE in next Season, will you just go back to being fans of OTH? Just a thought!
May 19th, 2009 at 3:31 am
^well if LP were in next season… then it WOULD be oth. the only reason people are claiming not to watch is because it doesn’t sound like it will be the same show in the least, because it won’t be about the core 5 anymore. but if the core 5 were still there… then THAT is oth. but oth isn’t naley, brooke, and three newbies
May 19th, 2009 at 4:17 am
Thats NOT the only reason people are saying they are going to stop watching tho, cause its not the Brullian and Naley fans who are stopping watching, and its not been about the core 5 at all season 6 anyway, everyone’s had there own little story going on.
I think the show is going to be different for every fan next year, but if everyone stopped watching then there would be no show at all.
May 19th, 2009 at 4:26 am
ok but to a lot of people, the show has nothing interesting left other than leyton. none of the other characters have any new storylines going on, and leyton was the only thing keeping a lot of people watching this season. so its not just immature LP fans pouting becuase our couple is gone, its the fact that to a lot of us, there is nothing left of the show that we used to love
May 19th, 2009 at 4:44 am
I actually think that Leyton was the least interesting thing of the season, it was all very predictable but apart for that no one actually knows what will happen next Season apart from the writers, it might be a great Season, and if not fair enough stop watching, I just think its a bit premature to make that decison before watching just because LP is gone (maybe).
May 19th, 2009 at 4:50 am
well i myself have said that i will obviously give the new season a chance. i will watch the first couple of episodes just to see how everything plays out. ive just said that i’m not looking forward to it, and that i dont have very high expectations for it. i feel like if mark actually had any new storylines left for nathan, haley, and brooke… then we would have seen some of that this season… but we didnt. plus, i just cant shake the feeling that the quality of the show will drop tremendously without both lucas and peyton. PLUS, the three new characters dont sound the least bit interesting to me… just more unnecessary fillers of screen time. so… i’m just basing opinions off of what i know as of right now… we’ll see though
May 19th, 2009 at 5:56 am
PERFECTION
thats how I would describe last nite…I enjoyed every moment every word…I cryed at every Chad and Hilarie scene just knowing that this was it for them it was sooooo sad
the way it ended was perfect for a series finale…loved it I did
and I do look forward to season 7 even though its gonna be sad and its not gonna be the same and last nights ending was just perfect…I just love OTH and I’ll be a fan till the end
May 19th, 2009 at 6:02 am
I have to disagree that it was perfect, and amazing. It wasnt. I thought it was quite poor for a season finale actually, or as an episode in general.
Ok, the good stuff:
- Chad was amazing during the hospital scenes, he was so emotive and got me all teared up.
- Joy was also amazing during her 34 seconds of screentime. Her kitchen scene with Nathan was SO good.
- The BP scene was adorable. I’m glad they at least got a scene together before LP left.
- The opening song was amazing, as was ‘The War Sweater’
Ok, the bits I didnt enjoy so much;
- FAR TOO MUCH MIA. Seriously. Couldnt we have just dropped the CM stuff – I know I’d have rather had a NP/NL/BL/PH/LH scene instead!
- Dans redemption. I get that it takes time, and we have to see Dan does regret being a jackass most of his life. But I’m bored of it now, just let him die. Whitey hugging him was powerful but still, I cant help but feel like Dan doesnt deserve forgiveness. Also, can the “bad heart” “you dont have a heart” “you always had a bad heart” double meaning things stop? We get it. He’s a bad man with a heart condition.
- The lack of ACTUAL LP scenes. What I mean is, they never really spoke. She almost died, they were so worried, so afraid, and when she lives… nothing. They didnt even acknowledge it or talk about anything! I was expecting a scene where the baby is asleep or something and they just have a moment where one of them says something about how amazing it is with the baby, and how glad they are they’re all together. The climax to the LP stuff was very anti climatic.
She woke up 8 minutes in – maybe it was just me, but I thought we’d see more of Lucas struggling as he waited to wake up, maybe a LH/LN scene. But whatever…
- Joy’s lack of screentime. Its been a CONSTANT annoyance to me that she is constantly underwritten and underused. At least this ep brought her story full circle; in 6×01 she was a prop with barely any lines, and she ended the season in pretty much the same place. I adore Joy, shes SO talented (see kitchen scene) and I really hope they give her decent material next year or I am definitely not watching.
- Victorias becoming a decent person thing was so rushed; had they left it with Brooke saying “You loved this company” and Victoria saying “I was wrong” I’d have been happy, as theres still room for her to grow, and somewhere to take the story. The fact she went the whole shebang in one episode from nothing to “I love you, I’m proud of you” just felt so rushed and unrealistic. As Alex said, I’d have liked that story to continue into S7. Wonder if Victoria will be back if shes now nice and loving?!
- Karen coming back was so random and short. I think it would have been better to see her for the wedding, or at least give her & Lucas a scene where shes there for him while Peytons unconscious. And OMFG that magic trick, weiiiiiiiiird.
- Nathans SL. I’m glad he made it to the NBA, it was a long time coming. Please DEAR GOD let that be the end of his whole comeback thing. And I seriously hope he doesnt meet an arrogant bball player at the Bobcats who he argues with at first and then they become friends and are there for each other. Its been done, its BORING. Give NH a decent SL for them to deal with together that DOESNT involve a third party. Something angsty, or emotional, or just real. Fertility problems, miscarriage, ANYTHING.
- MM. Snooze.
A kind of boring episode to be honest…
May 19th, 2009 at 6:16 am
LP kid got Peyton’s name just as NH kid got Haley’s name! And Middle names Brooke and Lucas! Perfect pair!
May 19th, 2009 at 6:28 am

and dan got some redemtion and witey and karen returned
leave it be Please
May 19th, 2009 at 6:40 am
Amy totally agree with you! The epsiode ended and I was strangely happy and sad! Best episode ever! And if it ended there I think every One Tree Hill fan could live with that ending. I am kind of considering not watching when it comes back in september cause I think it will ruin such a great ending to such a great season and show. I’ve already downloaded it!
May 19th, 2009 at 6:42 am
I loved this episode, like you said Amy it was perfection. Almost. I loved every minute of it and I didn’t want it to end. I cried the entire time minus the scenes with Millie/ Mouth and Mia/ Chase. I was just so perfect but also so sad. It should have been the series finale.
My Leyton got their perfect ending. Could I be more happy ♥
I’m also very happy for Naley and Brulian ♥
May 19th, 2009 at 6:53 am
it should have been the series finale!!!! i cried from the first scene til it ended! argh… everything was in its place.. it was only dan’s prob that was not resolved but everything was amazing!!!
May 19th, 2009 at 7:09 am
lol how awesome was the magic trick!?…i was like where’d it go!?
May 19th, 2009 at 7:53 am
I cant wait for NALEY next season! It was so cute when they both had tears in their eyes!
May 19th, 2009 at 8:05 am
I don’t know if it’s just me but this is the OTH episode I have been waiting for alll season..don’t get me wrong the season was pretty good, but it felt like there wasn’t a whole lot going on in many of the episodes..life was sort of at a standstill. This reminded me of the old OTH episodes and how much I love the show. Everything was perfect! I seriously cried, laughed, clapped more in an hour than I ever have. I think this is mainly because we have watched these characters struggle and they have taken us on this amazing journey since day 1..so to see them finally accomplish their dreams..is so amazing! Minus Haley..I really wish they had good news for her as well..but I guess they are leaving that door open for season 7. The Leyton scenes in the hospital were amazing, so was the Brooke/Mom and Brooke/Julian Scene..the part where Nathan tells Haley he made it to the NBA..def. tearjerker..so happy for him! I even felt bad for Dan Scott..I don’t see how they will ever get people to forgive him..but I almost want them too..he’s so pitiful! Loved seeing Whitey and Karen back..the final shot of the show was perfection..so significant! Leyton leaving Tree Hill and the rivercourt..you are a genius Mark!
This is why I think it’s stupid for everyone to say they won’t watch season 7. I agree that this would be the perfect series finale..it can’t get much better..but if you are a die hard one tree hill fan since day 1..you know that Mark is a genius and he will find a way to reinvent the show! He can’t loose our support now. I will be so sad to see Leyton go, because trust me I am prob the biggest Leyton fan ever! They are by far my favorite couple..but I think Mark will find a way to surprise us! have faith!
May 19th, 2009 at 8:25 am
Like almost everyone, I really think it should have been a Series Finale.
Every single character made us understand that life is a combat, and you always have to fight for, in order to make your dreams come true.
At the end of these 6 amazing seasons, every character gets what he always wanted:
LP: they got married and are now parents of a beautiful daughter
NH: Nathan has made his come back in the NBA, with the support of his family. Haley and Jamie can now support their hero
Brulian: Brooke said him “I love you” and now they can live happily together. Brooke did a great job with CoB
Victoria/Brooke: they finally made it up and now they can have a mother-daughter relationship
Mia has her second album released and know she’ll have Chase’s support and love.
Mouth and Millie are together in TH again.
Dan’s redemption
So I don’t see what’s left to tell about our Core 5…I think season 7 is just gonna ruin this PERFECT enfing, (the voiceover was just AMAZING and the RiverCourt view was genius: the show ended where it started 6 seasons ago), with all the storylines ending like a full-circle.
I thought I was done with OTH because of LP’s departure, but now I know I’m done with OTH because of this great ending. I couldn’t have pictured something better for my favorite tv show to end. Thanks a lot Mark!
May 19th, 2009 at 8:28 am
um, it wasn’t that good.
i completely agree with all of dawn’s points (spot on!), except i liked the dan, whitey scenes. the real perfect finale was season 4’s, it had every possible core 5 interaction and the last scene with all the cast and the last shot with lucas and nathan. thats what i call perfection. lucas and peyton driving off was appropriate for the shows present situation, but the whole epidose was pretty boring, i feel like we need season 7 so oth can redeem itself! also mark, of all the years not to do a cliffhanger, people are already hesitant about watching…
May 19th, 2009 at 8:43 am
I agree with all who say it should have been a series finale. There is no other word but PERFECTION. Mark made the first 12 minutes so intense, but so completely perfect. I really enjoyed every scene, even Mouth and Millie and Chase and Mia. Nathan getting into the NBA. Although, I thought it was a dream sequence but so glad they made it his reality. I loved all Dan scenes. Whitey being back was great too. Karen and Lucas like old times on their porch, and of course Leyton and the new Sawyer Brooke Scott was perfect. It’s really bittersweet knowing we won’t get to see them, but know they got their happy ending. A priceless ending to their story showing the river court where it all started. OMG…I loved it so much. Can’t wait to watch over and over. I do question now if it really is the last season. I’ll guess we’ll see in the coming weeks when filming is supposed to begin.
May 19th, 2009 at 9:01 am
This really did feel like a series finale. I dont know what Mark’s plans are, but i really hope he didnt just write himself into a corner here. How is the actual series finale ever supposed to match up to this??? Another thing that bugs me is that they are obviously trying to head for a Dan redemption story, but how is he supposed to accomplish that when the person he wronged the most (Lucas)is not even in the picture anymore??
That said, im also quite excited that we get to see more of Brulian’s relatioship next season because i just love, love, love them. I just hope the writers can pull this off because i would hate for the show to end on a bad note.
May 19th, 2009 at 9:01 am
And THAT should’ve been the finale episode of the serie. Perfection! Too bad there are another season, but heeeey, I’m not complaining!
May 19th, 2009 at 9:01 am
I think they’re going to tell us they are all done. Great episode, but that wasn’t a realistic newborn at all. Newborns can’t smile or hold their heads up!
May 19th, 2009 at 9:03 am
I think it was less of a “series” finale, and more of a core five finale. I think that Mark was trying to complete the core five’s story so that he could introduce the new characters in a way that doesn’t really leave people feeling like the core five has something left to accomplish.
In other news, looooved the episode.
May 19th, 2009 at 9:06 am
To Jase: I don’t think that Dan would ever be able to redeem himself with Lucas, so I think that’s kind of a moot point. I think he wronged Lucas so much that there really is no turning back from what he did, and I think Mark realizes that. I think that he is actually able to give Dan a chance for redemption now that Lucas is gone because the other characters won’t have Lucas to worry about if they choose to forgive him for all he’s done.
May 19th, 2009 at 9:06 am
^^ Cassi totally agree about the baby. That baby looked about 5 months old at the end of the eppie…does that mean that Brooke waited a full 5 months to go find Julian or did they just mess up on the baby casting?? LOL
May 19th, 2009 at 9:09 am
loved this episode!!! <3 naley, brulian, and leyton. everything wrapped up so well. Which leaves new storylines to come up next year. I am personally excited to see what happens in season 7. Sure it will be different without Leyton, but we’ll still have Nathan/Haley/Brooke and even Julian
I don’t understand why some of you are willing to stop watching the show that we all love. I have faith that Mark will do an excellent job next season.
May 19th, 2009 at 9:12 am
was it just me or was it not weird with julian being their when watching the operation and then coming to see peyton..he was just like lurking in the background lol
May 19th, 2009 at 9:40 am
Dawn, you do make some valid points. Most notably I would have liked to see less Mia and more Haley…but what could the writers do? They have written her out of any storylines except Nathan’s basketball.
And yes, I agree about Nathan and meeting another player he hates. Ugh. Would not want to see that again.
Victoria thing was rushed but it was nice for Brooke.
As for Peyton being out, if she would have been out longer, the complaint would have been Peyton spent half her last episode unconscious. There’s only so much you can do with an hour ep.
And yeah, I maybe could have done without that magic trick LOL
May 19th, 2009 at 9:56 am
It’s almost as if this episode was written like it was the series finale. If Season 7 didn’t happen I’d be good. Everything was tied up beautifully! BEST EPISODE EVER!!! I will be watching it again and again and again and again…
May 19th, 2009 at 9:58 am
lol brookes kid – Davis Peyton Baker
May 19th, 2009 at 10:15 am
I agree with the whole Baby thing, and was’nt she Prem, so therefore would have needed to be in the hospital for a while, and also be smaller than a full term baby, very odd.
May 19th, 2009 at 10:27 am
First off, I want to give a heartfelt send off to Chad and Hillary. I have followed their stories on One Tree Hill since day 1 and they are what kept me going with the show. I will always follow their career and they have me as a fan for life.
With that said…
the finale left me torn : \
I LOVED how devastated Chad played the hospital scenes from washing the blood off his hands to standing there with Peyton’s blood all over his clothes.
I LOVED how they did the birth sequence and that it wasn’t a typical one but we saw Lucas with the baby and then fade out.
I LOVED that it didn’t take all episode for us to know if Peyton was alright and that she woke up by answering Lucas with a name for their baby girl, awwwwwwwww.
I LOVED Karen walking in the hospital room with Sawyer. Peyton and Lucas were shocked and that was a kick *** moment.
I LOVED Nathan finally making it to the NBA and the scene in the kitchen with Nathan and Haley.
I LOVED Brooke getting her company back.
I LOVED the Mia scene with signing I Love You to Chase.
I LOVED that Whitey made an appearance although the Dan stuff is tiresome but I liked that Whitey hugged him.
******************
Now the things I HATED…
I guess because they weren’t sure if the show was even coming back, let alone Chad and Hill, there were some holes.
There weren’t many heartfelt moments between the core 5. I mean…we didn’t even see Nathan and Haley at the hospital with Lucas. And where was everyone to find out about Nathan making it to the NBA? Did Lucas, Brooke, and Peyton even get a reaction to that? There was no Debs, Skillz, no Fergie and the other guy, nobody from his basketball days to share this big climatic moment with. I’m glad he got to tell Whitey though and Dan was able to find out.
And since Leyton aren’t coming back THAT will be there only send off?! : (
No flashbacks. No talks down memory lane with Nathan, Haley and Brooke?! I thought we would at least get a montage of their earlier moments on the show. I thought we could get some mentions from their past stories and romances but we got nada on that front.
And Haley was barely on? My gosh…talk about a summary of her existence for the past two seasons…nada.
This episode was cute and made you smile at moments because there were happy endings but there wasn’t much depth to it. We should of had two hours and better wrap-up stuff.
I feel like we’re going to get some lame reasoning as to where Leyton are in the next season. Pooey : (
But with that I’m gone…it’s been great One Tree Hill. My Leyton got their family – how cute was Sawyer, awwwwwwwwww I LOVED the couch scene with Lucas playing with her and then blowing a kiss to Peyton.
SNIFF
May 19th, 2009 at 10:28 am
Davis Peyton Baker, LOL, no doubt it will be that, boy or girl. Good one.
Not only was the baby too old looking, but it was supposed to be a month early as well, so it should have been much smaller, unless Peyton was going to have a 12 pound baby ;oP
I just watched it a second time, and the Dan story was excellent writing. He said nothing to anyone from his direct family. You wonder if they could have heard him, he REALLY seemed to be a ghost. Very much like “A Christmas Carol”, especially when Dan talks of going back to where it all went wrong. I hope to see more of Dan next season.
May 19th, 2009 at 10:30 am
Leyton4Life said :”I feel like we’re going to get some lame reasoning as to where Leyton are in the next season. ”
That’s what I think too…Or maybe like they did with Karen in the beginning of season 5: just a card from them… I’m so pissed off
May 19th, 2009 at 10:32 am
@ Mary: Paul hasn’t a deal with oth for next season… he doesn’t even know if is gonna be back!
May 19th, 2009 at 10:37 am
They didn’t explain why Lucas and Peyton were leaving. And as sad as I am to say this. I don’t think that Mark should have bid OTH goodbye this season. I am happy that he kept going for two more seasons but I seriously think that this finale would have made the perfect send off. Brooke got her closure with her mother and went to go get her man. Mia and Chase are in love Leyton had their family and Nathan and Haley has theirs. And Mouth has his relationship. Antwon was kicked off the show no more Skillz. And well it wont be the same show now. WHICH SUCKS. I will keep on watching cause I want to see Brooke’s journey through till the end. But last night made me sad.
Chad Hil change your mind. You still can! lmao.

It was a wonderful episode, everyone is happy, much like season 4 finale. Loved the Brooke/Victoria ending. And awesome that Nathan made it in to the NBA. Karen walking in with Sawyer was so perfect. Leyton baby is adorable, the couch scene was so cute. However, unlike season 4, there was a lot left out as far as friendship scenes. I thought this was strange for the end of LP. There was no Lucas/Haley, Lucas/Nathan, Lucas/Brooke or Peyton/Haley, Peyton/Mia. There were strong relationships there, it seems odd to just have it end without anything said between them.

The episode was amazing. My only complaint is that I could have done with more Lucas and Peyton. Other then that, I loved it!! Lucas & the baby is the dark was LOVE.
* To those saying the baby was big.. when the baby was first shown, Sawyer really looked like a new born and she was really tiny. I thought they did a good job with that because most shows now days DO use babies who look to be about 3-4 months old and are supposed to be “newborn”. However, I think maybe some “time” had passed after that because when Lucas was on the couch with the baby, she was def. bigger. So, I just assumed sometime passed, and that is why the baby went from tiny to big Lol

I really did think it should be the series finale, it felt like one! It’s not going to be the same next season and the episode really didn’t leave me with any indication as to what season 7 is going to be about. In all honestly I thought the episode was a little boring, I felt like Peyton got out of her coma really quickly, and the promo made it more intense than the actual episode! Don’t get me wrong I liked the episode but for me it was Brooke’s storyline that stole the show for me. Her and Julian are basically going to run season 7 next year!

Wow! Wow! This was a great episode. I loved every moment of it. I cried through most of it of course!Especially the ending..it was just too perfect. It did feel like a series finale to me. As much as I love OTH..Id be happy and satisfied if that was the last episode of OTH. Even though there wasn’t enough Haley and her dreams and not enough interactions going on with other friendships though.

Thinking back on the series finales of all the other shows I’ve loved and gotten involved in, this is the best ever. Whether or not there is a 7th season and whether or not Lucas and Peyton come back, I can’t think of any other show that gave us so much closure to the characters. And I love that I just read through the last 122 comments and it looks like everyone else loved it as much as I did.
Yes I would have liked more LP dialog, but when you get your happy ending what is there left to say? You just sit back and enjoy it.

OMG ive just watched the Brulian scenes again and they are so good, and so good together, love it, can’t wait for more in Season 7. I hope they give us a Brulian Baby – how funny would Brooke Davis be pregnant!

It was an excellent episodei am so happy nathan made it to nba i just hopr they keep him there now and not see him lose it again and also maybe now nathan has got his dream we will see haley go after hers in season 7 and then people will stop saying she is a prop maybe the whole point was for nathan to get into nba first as it would of been really silly for them both to have got their dreams at the same time and haley did get one of her songs sung by nick lachey so she has done something this season.
i was really upset that there were no nathan/lucas scenes especially since he made it to the nba and also no haley/lucas scenes s this was his last episode it seems strange that he did not have a scene with brother and best friend i know that there was the whole nba thing but they still could of put in a little scene together.

SHOULD BE THE SERIES FINALE. What other drama could they bring? The show had a great run, and it is definitely considered to be my favorite!
favorite scene: (even though i’m a huge leyton fan): was when they called nathan scott onto the court and his face and name flashed on the screen
I got the chills!
and I cried when Haley started crying with the news of him making it to the NBA….
and the best part?
the ending scene was of the RIVERCOURT
where all of their dreams STARTED!

to me this episode was not perfection, the lack of character interactions esp between nathan and lucas bothered me .. and since lucas isnt coming back, i really feel disappointed we didn get to see one last brotherly moment with nathan congratulating lucas and vice versa, like wise, haley/lucas, brooke/lucas, haley/peyton
scenes that tugged at my heart, naley laundry scene, dan/whitey, victoria/brooke.. if they only had more interaction between the core 5 instead of everyone sectioned off then i would’ve like it more but it makes me sad because leyton will be gone and ill miss all their friendships

i really loved the epi..it was this one and the wedding one i was most excited about..and it didnt let me down..the song choice at the start lucas carrying peyton through to the ER was so powerful..had me in tears..he’s sheer desperation argh tugged at the heart strings..and when peyton woke up and they were re-united as a family..cired again…when whitey hugged Dan..cried some more..when Nathan made it to the NBA more crying…and when brook and victoria hugged yep tears..by the end i had no tears left..thought lucas’s magic trik was a bit cringe worthy lol..and the end CODA was just inspirational..and sawyer in the back seat smiling away..just made me think actually am ok with leyton leaving at least they get there happy ending!
Thanks to hil and chad for portraying this amazing love story and making us all be optimistic and believe that everyone can have a happy eva after..good luck for the future am sure you’ll rock whateva you do!
Thanks to mark for the vision!

This was renewed and shows like terminator were axed? I’m sorry but OTH used to be awesome..now it’s just another boring 7th heaven.
There’s something severely wrong with the tv studios and their line-ups…
