Robert Buckley Moves to One Tree Hill
Welcome to Tree Hill, Robert Buckley Your famously ripped abs should fit in brilliantly.
Sources confirm that Lipstick Jungle alum Buckley is joining the cast of the CW’s One Tree Hill as a new friend for Nathan Scott James Lafferty. He starts out as a sports agent and becomes a pal to the basketball star. This new male character, created following the departure of Chad Michael Murray’s Lucas Scott, was originally going to be played by Brian Austin Green, but talks to bring BAG to OTH fell through last week.
What other new characters are joining the show? And now that CMM and Hilarie Burton are gone, who is the new star?
Two other new character additions for season six will be Quinn, Haley’s Bethany Joy Galeotti sister, and Alex, the face of Brooke’s Sophia Bush new clothing line. Casting for those roles is still TBD.
As for that stardom question, focus will not necessarily shift solely to Brooke now that Leyton have rolled off in the sunset. Sources close to the show tell us, “It’s still an ensemble, and no one is gonna be front and center.”

luke and peyton need to be on the show it wouldnt one tree hill without them but itll still be awesome i think nathan will get some more time now but probly brooke mostly

leytons departure made me want to watch even more since i couldnt stand them so im very excited for this season! i hope brooke has good storylines because i only watch for her and julian

i heard that some people want Brooke and Clayton together WTF i mean we don’t even know him and they want him with Brooke . She’s with Julian she’s happy they love each other and now that a new guy comes they want him with her. It’s completely Crazy !!!!!

^ lol I hated Brulian, it was rushed and created to keep Brooke away from Lucas. If you want to serve me with a good relationship I want a decent build up as well, something Bju is clearly missing.
i don’t know anything about the new character but here is already hope for amazing chemistry and finally some good writing.

If Julian is signed on for 2 years and he isn’t dating Brooke what purpose does he even have on the show? He was like a side note in the epic love story of Lucas and Peyton.
The he was force fed to Brooke as a love interest, I bet, after it was determined that CMM and HB were not coming back.
Every season OTH has had new characters introduced. I’m sure Mark will do a good job introducing them and making them fit in to Tree Hill. It just won’t be the same without Lucas and Peyton in it.

Clayton won’t have anything to do with Brooke. He’s connected to Nathan and I bet it’s gonna be all about Clayton and Quinn next season while Naley will serve as prop for them.
Brooke has Julian and he’s the first guy most fans love, I doubt they would ask him to come back just to sit around. There’s probably going to be some sort of triangle with Alexis but no doubt after last season,BJu are endgame.

yeah.. I agree. it just won’t be the same without lucas and peyton..I still feel very sad about it.. *sigh..
I really hope they improve the storyline.. if not.. I will not watch OTH anymore.. since leyton was like the only reason I watched it before.. and now Robert Buckley is the only reason why I;m willing to give season 7 a try..

All I care about is the core 5 characters, Brooke/Nathan/Haley/Jamie/Julian. Who cares about this ” Clayton ” character. Everyone just cares because the actor has nice abs. In my opinion he isnt cute at all

im happy about the new characters, i just hope they dont hog the screen away from naley/brulian. i mean look at last season with mouth/millie/sam and her boyfriend-cant remember his name- we hardly got any screen time for the cast, esp. naley

Naley = YAWN.
Mark never developed anything for Nathan besides basketball. Even when he was injured and couldn’t play he was a fill in basketball coach. Did Nathan even get a degree while in college on basketball scholarships? What can Nathan do besides dribble a ball and throw it through an orange metal hoop? Plenty of possibilities concerning Nathan.
Now for Haley? She drops Jamie off at the babysitters then goes and sits in Peyton’s recording studio and watches someone else record a song. Where can they go with Haley? She’s been a teacher and failed. A pop star and failed. As a mom she fails at that daily. I wonder what they will think up next for her to fail at? Maybe she can have a miscarriage. Now that’d be some Tree Hill heart breaking drama. I could really dig a storyline like that. Mark you reading this? Let me write an episode.

ed-why do you talk out your butt? haley had great storylines in the other seasons. she didnt fail on being a popstar, she just gave up her dream for love. there are lots of places mark can haley, if he just writes for her.
anyway, im looking forward to next season, but i agree lulu. i hope that the new characters dont over take the show. as for naley yeah they need a good storyline. im a huge fan, and i loved the drama the had in season 5. so please mark give them a good storyline.

She fails as a popstar? You fail. She did amazing but like kelly05 said she gave it up for love. She fails as a teacher? Again you fail. Nothing wrong with her quitting because of a bitch of a principal. I think I loved that more then her continuining to be a teacher. She fails as a mother?!?!?! Oh wow, epic fail on your part. Thats mean. She doesn’t fail as a mother. The writers just never have her with Jamie.. like ever. That better change next season. Its not Haleys fault that Mark doesn’t like her character as much as everyone else.
As for Nathan. He got his dream, now we should get to see another side. Im on the fence about his storyline. Yes it is getting boring; its been basketball for 6 seasons. But then again, Im happy he reached his dream something that he’s wanted since we first saw him. Although, somedays I do wish they hadn’t allowed him to recover. Just to see how that had played out. But I still love how it is now.
Love my Naley. They just need more hot sex scenes and more time together like in Episode 23. I noticed like 5 scenes with just them in it.

I’m so upset about the departure of Leyton, but specifically Chad Michael Murray, that I don’t know if I will watch the show when it returns for Season 7. It is NOT “One Tree Hill” without him!! I loved Lipstick Jungle and Robert Buckley in that show, but I just don’t think I can warm up to him on One Tree Hill. If Chad and Hilarie were still part of the cast I might be more interested in the new character, but I think it was a HUGE mistake on the part of the network to not offer Chad what he wanted in order for him to come back for another season. THE CW IS CHEAP and apparently doesn’t care what the fans want or care about ratings!

i agree kelly. haley did not fail, she gave up a lot for nathan. i just hope that next season nathan focuses on something other then bball. i dont mind him being in the nba i just dont want to see it all the time.

The departure of Leyton has completely turned me off of the show. I honestly keep checking this sight in hopes of some “changing of minds” and a miracle happens and Leyton decides to return. The new OTH sounds like a decent show, don’t get me wrong. But it is not One Tree Hill anymore, at least not to me.

In all honesty i could care less abt leytons departure there just to nausiating to watch. And yes i was and still am a brucas fan but now im all for *brullian* and *naley* . Oh and when clayton comes he will totaly be for quinn so i dnt have any suspicians that he will target brook and having said that i am very much up for the pairing of *quayton*.

Haley is the strongest character in the show, end of story. I agree, she didn’t fail at anything, she made the ultimate sacrifices. How can some of you people not like Julian? Austin Nichols is a serious talent. I guess all of us up here have different agendas when it comes to what we like, respect, and want for One Tree Hill. There’s too much mixing of these actors’ personal lives to their on screen lives. This new guy Buckley, sure he’s attractive, hopefully it doesn’t outweigh his talent as an actor, if there is any at all. Although, for some of you here, it won’t matter. Good luck to him. Maybe he’ll change my mind, but, I doubt it. BAG would have been great, too bad.

Also, some of you are bagging on Mark? Seriously, get a grip. If you can write a better show, than DO it. I may not be happy with everything that has gone on, but, Mark would be the last person I’d point a finger at. As a matter of fact I wouldn’t point a finger at anyone. None of us know what it takes to make the show happen, if we did, I’d bet most of us might walk the other way. I hope Mr. Buckley totally makes me eat my words. Let’s just give it a chance.

I will always be a Brucas Fan.. But The show wont be the same without Lucas and Peyton.. Haley has never Failed.. She just made the decision to focus on other people rather then herself.. I would still like to see her have a singing career… and Nathan has always been about basketball.. you can just change that.. thats who he is.. I would like to see more storylines for Brooke.. She is always so strong and hides her feelings and needs to help everyone else.. Thats why her and Lucas belonged together.. they always helped eachother and everyone else.. besides themselves…

I am a big Lucas ans Peyton fan I watched the show for them. They were so ment to be… I was so upset when I heard that they were leaving the show. I love all the characters of the show they all have done a wonderful job. But the show will not be the same. I fell for the show in the fith season and have watched them all since but for that reason for Peyton and Lucas i have watched the show.. I will continue to watch but all in all i will be very saddened

OK Im a HUGE LEyton fan, BUT- I would think this is a time for the other core stars, including Mouth/Millie to really shine this time around- why are they saying that no one will REALLY shine, I dont think that is fair… they need to help us close the chapters on Brulian & Naleys relationship. Or who knows… Leyton got alot of screen time & their story ended, now its time for someone else to shine, not the new characters
