Ausiello: It’s official: ‘One Tree Hill’ troublemaker returns!
A One Tree Hill rep is now confirming what I first hinted at in Ask Ausiello: The bitch is back!
Danneel Harris has closed a deal to reprise her role as pot-stirrer Rachel Gatina in at least seven episodes next season, beginning with eppy 7.02.
Harris made her Tree Hill debut as Brooke’s high school nemesis in season 3 but wasn’t made a series regular until season 4. She was written out in season 5 after only a handful of episodes, an apparent victim of the show’s four-year flash forward.
In other Tree Hill news, the last of next season’s new contract roles has gone to Nuevo 90210 grad Jana Kramer. She’ll play Alexis, a model that becomes the new face of Brooke’s clothing line. As previously reported, Lipstick Jungle’s Robert Buckley and relative newcomer Shantel VanSanten are also joining the cast as Nathan’s sports agent and Haley’s sister

i dont understand whats the point to have two characters that sound a lot alike on the show. alexis sounds a lot like rachel. so why bring rachel back, or even bring alexis on?

I agree, I’m a little concerned about the potential overlap of roles between Rachel and Alexis. they should drop the Alexis character and bring Danneel back on as a regular and let her fill that role.

well the two main characters didnt want to come back. i dont see what the plenty new material is since nothing has been released.
as for rachel and alexis. i agree they sound a lot alike, but then again rachel is only supposed to be on for like 7 episodes. and the girl that plays alexis is black, and oth has really needed some diveristy on it.

Hey…’pucassucks’, what’s ur deal? Is it the character of Lucas you don’t like, or Chad Michael Murray. Either way, I’m totally confused since he was the best looking and most talented actor on the show and Lucas was the most kind, loyal, intellectual and romantic character.

ML in response to your question, I didn’t like Peyton and Lucas together, therefore ‘Pucas’. I wouldn’t diss his looks cos he is a beautiful man and for 4 seasons i actually liked Lucas cos he seemed to have a backbone.
He loved his girl, whether he was with Brooke, Peyton or Lindsay but i really hated the way Peyton imposed herself on him when he was with someone else. I hate girls like that when they get all up in your business!! Yuck, and i’m not buying the relationship because it sends out the wrong message to young ladies. Its pure nasty.

I am glad Danneel Harris is coming back to reprise Rachel. I would love her to stir something on Brulian and all the questions that we are dying to know might finally come out. I hope CMM and HB would come back as series regulars, but if this season hit without them who knows their could be a season 8 and maybe they would come back, there’s a cliff hanger on the Leyton family, i wonder why they left? lots of story to right Mark Schwahn, Please make them come back.
But either ways. I love the people who are left in tree Hill and I too am a Naley and Brulian fan. I support all of them. Hope this is not the last season for One Tree Hill hoping for 2 more seasons.

Actually, jana Kramer’s myspace states that she is white/caucasian & her family (unless she is adopted or something) is not African American. I think she is just very tan in the picture chosen for this article.
