i honestly was never expecting leyton to come back for many guest appearances (if any at all)… all i really want is for them to be in the series finale. that way it wont seem like the show is ending without them and they were just forgotten.

Damn, there goes my theory about Jamie’s birthday party. Haha. I knew that was too good to be true. I should hope they would be there in the finale otherwise it wouldn’t be right. Maybe Hilarie will come back more than once.. but I doubt we’ll see Leyton together until the finale. Im glad Brulian are going to last; Brooke deserves it. And I loveeee Julian.

i agree steph… at this point i just feel like beggers can’t be choosers. Leyton got their happy ending, that was all i really cared about. if we can’t have Leyton appearances during season 7, then i can learn to live with that if it means that their story ended happily in season 6… which it did.
i can learn to live without them in season 7, but the ONE LAST thing i want is an appearance in the series finale… there’s just no way the wrap of the show would feel complete unless all core 5 were there

or maybe mark wont give her a wedding or a baby at all. maybe he’ll just end her characters story with her finding a guy (most likely julian). it may be a little too unrealistic for ALL THREE girls to be married mothers by the end of the series… especially if they will all still be relatively young (unless they skip ahead a few years in the finale)

i dont think its unrealistic for 3 friends to be married and have children by time they are 24ish. I have at lots of friends who have kids and are married, and they all ranged from ages 16-22 when the weddings and babies happened.

I really hope CMM and HB come back for the final episode and maybe even more then that. I know it probably will not happen but I can hope. I am glad for our happy ending but I am also mad because we do not get any Lucas/Peyton/Sawyer moments
. As for Brooke I like her with Julian but I do not want her to be pregnant. Maybe she adopts a child.

Before anyone attacks me, I AM NOT BASHING. I LOVE THIS SHOW AND EVERYONE IN IT.
Okay, I would first like to say, I do not know how I could find interest in the show any more w/o Luke or Peyton. I am a Leyton fan, but I could’ve lived w/o, as long as both of them were still on the show. Chad was my main reason for watching. I immediately fell in love with Peyton’s character and the show cannot be the same without Hillary. Sure, I like the rest of the of the story lines, however, they all get old. So did, Luke’s and Peyton’s ((and Leyton’s)), but, atleast I was entertained by them. Sophia is the only hope of keeping the show alive, but is that enough? They should just do a spin off of OTH, not continue it w/o Luke- the PRIMARY CHARACTER!. lame!
And as for Chad comming up with something new, keep wishing. NOt anytime soon, atleast. look up on IMDB.com, there is nothing even in pre-production. He has nothing!
Which leads me to my second thing. My theory.
Did anyone realize that she show did not leave us with a cliff hanger, for the first time EVER!? But if you think about it, they did. It isn’t IN the show though, it is around it. “are chad and hillary really comming back?!” If they really left, I would have expected more commentary from Chad, however he basically said nothing, but telling us to beg. So, if we beg, they could bring him back, and be like, THE FANS RETURNED HIM! Bull. I believe that they are not leaving the show, atleast not Chad. Hillary does indeed have her hands full and I wish her the best! The show could live w/o her. Or maybe she could be a guest or something… Anyways, I believe that the whole word of Chad leaving is a hoax! They could sneak his filming so that Spoiler freaks like us don’t catch him. It is possible.
Or maybe it is just wishful thinking. I can hope though.
I will be so ashamed if they continue the show without them, BUT if they bring them back for the 8th season, then that could work for some good plots! that, could work. (=

Oh you know Im going after you ‘LP4EVA’ – which is really all you want – some attention! First of all bb, get a life. How many times have you commented?
Second of all – Don’t hate on the Bush! She is goregeous, smart and talented. Also Brooke is NOT a real person – just thought I should put that out there! Sophia is amazing, so stop hating!! BTW she’ll probably never hear those untrue things you said about her, so why bother?

Fourth – Chad may have been the main character in the show but if we think about it, his storyline wasn’t the one that draws everybody in. It wasn’t that exciting so chill out with that whole “Chad is the best” rant.

Oh and I think you’re whole theory about 90% of the fans not watching the show is INACCURATE – because not all the fans are Leyton fans! We still have happy Naley fans, happy Brulian fans, and Brucas fans are bittersweet but they are glad there is no more Leyton. Plus, Robert Buckley fans will watch the show because he is on it and most likely they’ll fall in love with it like everyone on here did!
And BTW – One Tree Hill had higher ratings that Gossip Girl

Thanks Mus!c, but I dont know, I am studying film and production such and you could be surprise at the stunts they pull on people. How they will tease a fan base, to test the reactions… It helps the writers figure out a direction for the show if they are in doubt. But I could very well be wrong, no doubt.
Mackenzie, if you were referring to my post about the “90% of fans” thing, then please re-read what I wrote. I simply stated how I feel. I am a leyton fan, but I know and accept that many people arn’t. And I actually understand that. I did like Brucas…, however, I feel that Luke and Peyton were WRITTEN to have that inevitable pull towards eachother. I do think that Brucas had MUCH more chemistry on camera. ((But in the end of season 4, leyton did have amazing chem.))
Also, Chad is what pulled ME in, maybe not everyone else, which is why I said that the other story lines are also good. They all just seemed to die out. I mean, i LOVE Naley!! Especially with the addition of Jaimie. but their story lines lack w/o Luke’s character! ((THAT IS HOW I FEEL))… I literally get bored during Mouth and Milly’s scenes, wishing I could magically fast forward. And Kate Voegele, is an AMAZING singer, but honestly, a crappy actress. And Stephen isnt that much better. BUT I am excited to see how Brulian goes. I AM hoping they make the show work. I still believe in this show, but the magic that tied me in, has died. I just wish the show hadnt come to this….

I really hope you are right and this is a joke. I do not think it is but I sooooooo can hope. The reason I do not think I am going to watch OTH is not only Leyton leaving (the main reason I watched) but its like they are trying too hard with all these new people. I am sorry it too late to get invested in all these new characters when there is only a year or two left of the show. People say a lot of shows like BH 90210 survived after a main character left but to me it didn’t. I did not like 90210 after Brenda left. It was not the same. OTH started off with 5 core characters and now either they are going to go with 3 core characters or about 10 core characters and right now it does not work for me. We will see though.

spoilers for season 7-brooke will marry julian and then adopt a 17 year old boy but then she’ll sleep with the bboy and julian will find out and sleep with rachelwho nathan cheated on haley with and then haley and brooke get eaten by a shark while swimming on th ebeach and rachel and julian liv happily ever after!

Hey, anyone know if this is definitively the last season? Is there any possibility of it running longer? With 3 new characters, it seems like there could be more stories to tell but who knows. It’s funny, I started watching the show because I kind of related to Lucas having grown up in a very similar situation, but as long a Nathan and Haley are going strong, I’d probably still tune in, this past season was awesome to finally see a TV portray a normal relationship again, in reality how often on TV do we get normal couples just living life and getting along?

Okay, sure Chad has mentioned before that he doesn’t want to continue with the show for much longer, but no that soon! Chad said, candid on video, that he was booted from the show because they couldn’t afford him anymore. He also mentioned that fans should go onto blogs and complain and show how much we disagree! Well, like I said, I think its all a hoax! They can’t afford him?! They show has more money than they ever have before and they have unnecessary characters. If Chad is asking us to beg for him, he doesn’t want out. So then why is he leaving? He’s not. And if he does, its temporary to trick us longer.
However, I did say that Hillary does have a good reason to leave, and that I don’t blame her. She has something MUCH better than the dying OTH to pursue! go for it girl!
And maybe no one is lying… maybe they really arn’t coming back for season7, but what about season 8? No one has meantioned that! Well that is IF tree hill isn’t cancelled first…. Mark DID say that the reason he skipped the college years is to make his show last and I doubt he meant only 3 full season, because if so then he should’v just stuck with the college years, 4 season, rather than 3. Well I will still watch, to test my theories and to see how it goes w/o them… but Mark isnt that stupid.
OHH and about Chad selling his house… is there proof? that could just be part of the rumors.

I’m pretty sure the cw really wanted chad to come back considering he was the main.. so it seems pretty obvious that a) he asked for too much money and they couldn’t come up with an agreement or b) he left because he believes he is done with oth and is trying to look for better and bigger things.Plus how does brooke or sophia even have anything to do with chad and hilarie leaving…it seems like a lot of people are connecting her to that somehow and hating on her… lol

With regards to Hil and Chad.. I still believe and I always will that Chad left because they wouldn’t give him more money or he wanted to get on with his life. Hil was asked to leave because they couldn’t break up Leyton. I mean, most of you have watched her video and you know its genuine so why are you saying otherwise? Her leaving seems pretty obvious, Chads is still up in the air. But really, we’ll never know the real truth behind everything; maybe it was something bigger then we think, who knows. We can’t turn back time and change anything, it’s over and done with.

Actually, it’s pretty obvious that chad didn’t want to leave yet… He’s asking people to beg for him… he has a good fan base, he doesnt need people to beg to rise his ego. He really wants to come back! The producers dont want him gone, it would make no sense…. And as for the money, that could be realistic, but oth has more money than ever, which is why they can and have added new characters. they could cut back on unnecessary characters to keep the necessary ones. MOney cant be the problem.
But, true, we dont know untill it all unfolds for us, so all we can do is sit and wait.
Oh and maybe chad wanted a new house? or wants to live in LA? doesnt mean he cant film in NC.
my ideas guys, I could be wrong, but it just doesnt add up…

I didnt even say anything about Hilarie, but okay. NOTHING is clear. no one has given a straight answer and to be honest Hil’s video was just weird, I wasn’t buying it. I don’t think either one of them is leaving. And no, I am not joking.
But if I am wrong and the two of them never come back, the show will have become the biggest disappointment and failure of all time. They can leave for season 7 for all I care… as long as they come back for the actual last season. Give me a good way that the show can save itself without the original basis and roots of the show…. It has already already become a greater disappointment by season 5… season 6 was better, but it lost the magic it used to have and it was coming back. but I dont see how it will return w/o luke and peyton. If the show ends badly, it will ruin everything good the show ever had. Well, thats just how I feel. If someone thinks otherwise, please fill me in!

if no one wanted Leyton, they should’ve never thrown them back together.
This is what would have made the show have its spark again, build new relationships like they did in Season 2. where Luke had Anna, Peyton had Jake, and Brooked had Felix. New relationships would be nice. but not thrown at us like lindsey, most of us were inclined not to like her, because she wasnt introduced as the character, but rather as Luke’s new love… so, both Brucas and Leyton fans didnt like her too much… And I do agree that Leyton turned into a happily ever after thing (yes, boring), which ruined their characters and a lot of the show. They should have gone about things in many other ways then they did. It is just very disappointing.

Thats all I am trying to say. BUT Lucas, with or with out Peyton, was A key character to Tree Hill. Not the only one, but a major one.

I agree with you kaykayP that they should never have put Leyton back together. There really was no choice though. . .since they obviously couldn’t put Brucas back together after the breakup/divorce.
IMO the only one that Lucas works with is Brooke. He looks bored out of his mind with everyone else (ana, peyton, lindsey). Felix and Chase sucked too. Owen was okay with brooke but he wasn’t good enough for her– hugely successful fashion designer with reformed addict/bartender. Not exactly what fans can get behind. I think they realized that and decided to let them go. Jamie, I don’t think we can believe everything that is said by either HB or CMM.

^Why not? They actually know what happened. and considering that they are the ones leaving i would say they are reliable sources. IMO they are way more trustful than the CW.
^^i disagree, LP getting together did not ruin the show. The horrible writing did.

Actually, natlp, it’s not just the brucas fans. Im an LP fan and I think it did… But i also agree with jamie, that it was the writing. not the idea..
But jamie, we can listen to them when we see it ourselves! They could easily be fibbing, so that spoiler freaks like us dont get our hands on the truth so soon. plus, that contradicsts what chad said before, that he wasnt wanted… Why doesn’t it add upp???

I don’t see how it contradicts anything. Like I said before we don’t know and will probably never know all the details. And I know from experience that things change all the time during negotiations. Maybe the network didn’t want them at first but changed their minds later or maybe Chad wanted to leave first but decided to stay but they didn’t want him back etc etc. Alot of things can happen.
