The Associated Press: ‘One Tree Hill’ actor still on TV after NYC plea

NEW YORK — An actor who pleaded guilty in New York City to a Social Security number scheme will appear in at least the first several new episodes of the teen television drama “One Tree Hill.”
CW network spokesman Paul McGuire says it’s unclear what will happen later in the show’s seventh season following Antwon Tanner’s guilty plea.

Okay, I thought I saw him in the background of that photo with Jerry Rice and Jamie with the other three. It’s gonna be kinda hard to explain his disappearance now isn’t it? Would’ve been easier to just cut him out during the 14 months.

well leytonislovely, your statement sounds like a broken record. move on already, or dont watch the show.
as for antwon, they should have known that there was a chance he was going to jail. maybe they could recast him? i dont know.

^ defiently agree with you lulu. And i bet they’re going to plan for skills and allison (i think that’s her name) to move away from tree hill, then maybe after antwon gets out of jail his charcter will come back if the show gets an 8th season.

I knew my comment might rub other readers the wrong way, so I’m sorry I even posted it. You’re right lulu, I should move on already.
Anyway, I agree with what you said about the Antwon situation. They (the writers/producers) *must* have known about his legal problems and should’ve taken care of the situation sooner. But I don’t like the re-casting option: I don’t like when shows do that and I hope they don’t recast Skills. (That being said, I’m still disappointed in Antwon; he really should’ve known he couldn’t get away with what he did).

i agree. they should have done something sooner. as skills, no i dont think they should recast him. i dont feel sorry for antwon, he knew what he was doing.

He did know what he was doing no doubt, but getting caught may be what he needs to bring him back to reality. I think he can learn from his mistake. He seems to be pretty intelligent although he has not showcased that with his current antics. I hope he learns, and lets go of all the bad, then comes back.

i dont think they have any choice with him. he is most likely going to jail. and if they do a season 8, they may bring him back. its not the shows fault. its his.
