7.04 Believe Me I’m Lying Recap
Clay tells Nathan he’s missed 4 work-outs. Nathan thinks he won’t have a job but Clay is working on it. He promises. Nathan says he hasn’t heard anything from Renee. Clay says it will come out and they’re prepared but he needs to get his head back in the game.
Jamie and Quinn are at the grocery store. Jamie picks out a cereal. Haley comes back and makes him pick something else out. She asks about David. He asked her come home and she said she needed more time to figure things out.
At Brooke’s, Julian is reading and burning incense. Brooke says she’s nervous about the fashion show. Brooke asks about what he’s reading and Julian says the script from Alex is bad but there may be ideas. Brooke leaves and Austin says Hey Brooke Davis you look beautiful today.
Alex is ready when Millie comes to get her. Alex says she’s being professional.
In Nathan’s backyard, Nathan works out. Clay says he’s going to head out. They talk about the fashion show. Clay says he’ll be early to the fashion show to watch a bunch of hot girls parade around stage. Clay gets a call and says the story is out.
Jamie sees a magazine with Nathan and Renne on it and asks what “Love Triangle” means.
At home Haley has bought all the magazines. Nathan apologizes again. Haley says they’ll do it together. He feels bad for putting the family through it and wonders if Jamie is home.
At the park, his friend reads the article and they tease Jamie. Quinn talks to a little girl about David. The little girl pats her and says “Boys!”
Mouth’s boss is upset because they didn’t break the story.
At TRIC, Brooke and Millie work on the fashion show. Victoria shows up. Brooke invited her to make sure it goes smoothly.
In the RBR office, Miranda has the article and says at least the baby will be beautiful. David shows up and him and Haley hug. He wants her to tell Quinn he misses her and he’s not going anywhere.
In TRIC, Chase delivers flowers to Millie. Chase says hello to V but she doesn’t remember him. He says she says that every time. The flowers are from Mouth. He can’t make it. Alex walks up and asks who the old woman is. V asks if she’s the former actress we’re overpaying.
Quinn brings in her photos to Haley to see. She tells him what David said. She wants her to tell him the truth even if she doesn’t love him anymore.
Nathan and Jamie show up. Brooke puts Jamie to work. Nathan asks if she’s read the article and she says no. That stuff is all rumors. Just don’t fan the flames and they’ll move on. He says he understands but how do you explain that to a 7 yo.
Nathan and Jamie get home and Nathan asks about the kids teasing him. He says the kids say he’s going to have a brother. nathan says if he ever does, it will be from his mom and dad. Some kids just forget right and wrong and say things like that. He shows hima picture of Haley and Jamie and says it always helps him to do the right thing.
Miranda tells Haley someone needs her for an interview. Haley doesn’t want to but Miranda pushes.
Julian talks to Vickie. She says Brooke is happier than ever. She owes it to him.
Haley is in the interview. She asks about Nathan and Miranda ends the interview, taking up for Nathan saying it was all made up.
A model tries to stop Millie from drinking water saying it’s all for the pretty people. Alex sees it and walks up to her and chats. Alex says you party right? You should take some of these. She gives her 4 pills, knowing it will be too much.
Quinn and David talk at the riverwalk. She’s tired of waiting for better things. He says he’ll change but she doesn’t want him to for her. He says is this the part where you say you love me but aren’t in love with me? She cries and says they should get a divorce.
Brooke looks over the models and realizes that McKenna is missing. She’s passed out. Alex says she saw her take some pills. Alex suggests that Millie takes McKenna place.
Chase tells Nathan at the bar he came up with a new drink a brain hemorrhage. Nathan says it already exists. Clay walks up and says the press is there and practice No Comment. Nathan wants to comment but Clay says no and play the game.
Julian gives Brooke a present to relieve her stress. He pulls out an incense stick of Sandalwood. He gives her a kiss and says I guess this will have to do.
Brooke does the intro for the fashion show. She says Tree Hill is her home and inspired the line. She then introduces the Noisettes. Quinn walks in and tells Haley she did what she needed to do.
Backstage, Millie gets ready in the red dress. Millie is nervous because she’s not a size 0. Brooke says she has an idea.
Millie comes out in a jacket with Alex. Alex takes it off and Millie has a shirt on that says “Zero is not a size”.
Millie gets interviewed on the red carpet. Victoria jumps in and responds for her saying the line is designed for real women.
Alex asks Julian about the script. He says it’s not that good. The writing needs focused but the story is solid. She says she wrote it. Julian is willing to work on it if she’s willing to commit to it. She says I’m willing to commit to you. Victoria overhears only that line.
Alex walks the red carpet. Clay looks on and Quinn walks up and asks about their night. Clay says it was just sex. Quinn wants to know if that’s the real him or his image. He says maybe a little of both.
Mouth is at work and someone gives him last minute changes from his boss.
The Noisettes perform at TRIC. Haley thanks Miranda for sticking up for her. Miranda says she’s always hated her.
Mouth does his report and he’s supposed to report on Nathan but he closes early. His boss tells him he’s off the air.
Chase brings Quinn a Brain Blaster and she tells Chase to enjoy. Quinn says he’s evil.
David wants to talk to Quinn. He’s drunk. Clay steps in and ends up punching David.
Alex comes on to Clay but he turns her down.
Some of the reporters stop Nathan and ask for a comment. He says he’s proud of his friend Brooke Davis.
V tells Brooke she pulled it off. V says the change was a good idea. But letting Alex get too close to Julian is a bad idea. Brooke says Julian is a good guy. V says she has a feeling Alex has wrecked a few good guys.
Alex invites Millie to an after-after party. Millie gets a call from Mouth but she ignores him and says yes.
Mouth leaves a message saying he had a bad night and wanted to talk to him. He’s going to wait up on her.
Nathan finds Jamie asleep with a picture of Nathan and Haley in his arms.
Julian tells Brooke she was the most beautiful woman. She asks how Alex took it that it was bad. He says she wrote it and they’re going to work together and get a movie made out of it.
David and Quinn talk. He doesn’t know what to do. This isn’t her. Quinn says he’s right. She’s trying to figure it out. She asks him to go home. Quinn leaves and asks Clay for a ride home. She says it’s his place. He says are you sure? He’ll never forgive you. She says just drive.
Renee shows up in the parking lot. She says he doesn’t love her. She calls her a slut and Renee says that’s what Nathan loved. She says you don’t know what you’re talking about. Haley punches her and the reporters catch it.

quinn is doing david a favor, Dave get away, you can so better! i tried to like quinn but i am just not feeling her, not as haley’s sister, not as some heartbroken wife, i mean is the reason why she left david was because he’s a drunk, doesn’t look that way. Clay stay away, you can do better!!
Nathan and Jamie, totally rocked! I felt so bad that they were teasing him like that. And finally a good storyline for mouth. he is such a good friend. i didnt even mind the brathan scene tonight and good that Nathan is keeping his cool in the press. Now, Renee, what a bitch i believe she planned that whole set up so that way the papparazi would get her. but whats up with the preview? god, i need next week to come now, i need to know what happens next with naley. so far they are the only storyline im really feeling right now.

For what has to be the first time I can remember I totally hated all the music throughout the whole episode. All of it. Sounded off and overly loud and just didn’t flow for me at all.
The episode itself was pretty decent.
Also Haley goes to jail next week. Lmfao!!!!1! Haley finally has a story line now. Jailbird and soon to be convict.

First of all Lauren, this show used to be WONDERFUL! It has now become like a train wreck…you can’t help but watch. I keep hoping Chad and Hilarie will come back to save the show. It was my favorite show for six years and it wasn’t allowed to die a dignified death at the end of season 6. I can’t help myself but I HATE IT NOW!!!!UGH!!! STUPID MARK SCHWAHN AND THE CW!

This episode was great. What about the Noisettes? They rock! I was walking pretty fast down Water Street here in Wilmington (aka Tree Hill) to get home in time to watch Tree Hill and they were filming an episode! The season got off to a rocky start and I was thinking of letting it go from my personal lineup, but now is reminding me of why I fell in love with the show to begin with. Good job! “Zero is not a size” was a great way to end the fashion show.

this episode was really good. i still miss Lucas, i can deal without peyton, but i really miss Luke, him and Nathan were the show for me. but i did enjoy this episode, even chase didnt bother me. hell ill take chase of quinn, her storyline did nothing for me. i loved the haley miranda scene too, it was great to see her stick up for haley. now the only thing i wouldn’t mind was less quinn, more NH interaction, esp at tric.. and BTW, why did Nathan leave his wife at tRic!?

This episode was pretty good. It was good seeing all of the cast getting screen time and being together at a big event. I enjoyed Brooke, Julian, Haley, Alex, and Victoria tonight. I loved seeing Haley slap the heck out of that groupie who is blackmailing her family. But looks like she baited Haley to get Haley into big trouble which worked. I want to see Nathan being more take charge and handling this scandal. I also want to see more Nathan and Haley couple scenes where they are loving towards each other. We can see that Brooke is not happy about Alex and Julian working together. Brooke is right to be skeptical since she knows that Alex is the ultimate little harlot bad girl who has made her interest in Julian(and any guy in her path) known. I know Brooke is trying to be selfless but she needs to tell Julian about her misgivings and problems with the situation.
However I thought the Brooke and Julian scenes were very good. Brooke and Julian have good a relationship. And their relationship is very loving, affectionate, sincere and chemistry filled. I’m still liking this couple the most of all of the couples this season. I know Brooke and Julian will have problems but I’m rooting for them. Millie likes being with the “cool” girls and being apart of the “In-Crowd”. We can now see all see how Alex will corrupt Millie and damage her relationship with Mouth. I really like Quinn but I could into get into her story with David tonight. I’m not understanding the vague reasons why her marriage is over. I am glad that Quinn has finally told her husband that it is over. I enjoyed the Clay and Quinn scenes. Hope to see more from Clay and Quinn as their friendship and/or romance builds. I’m still enjoying this season. But I think the writer’s need to move certain story arcs along much faster to keep the show energized and interesting. Good episode.

great episode. i loved the noisettes, i never heard of them before this show. they are a great band.
loved nathan and jamie 2night, and i loved how miranda stood up for haley with that reporter. you know that thing at the end with haley was set up, rachel is such a b**** if she set it up.
victoria was great. millie i actually liked 2night, but she sort of turned her back on mouth, and he really needs her. i hope she doesnt get caught up in alex’s crowd.

I loved tonights episode!!! It was soooo good! I loved how Alex helped out Millie tonight and put that bitch model in her place! Millie did great and I loved Brooke’s idea. Zero is not a size! I loved the scene with Nate and Jamie as well. Im glad Quinn is done with David im sick of hearing about David. Im soo thrilled she went home with Clay. I loved everything about this episode except for the Noisette’s their music didnt seem to fit with oth. O and I loved how Miranda stuck up for Hales, and ofcourse the bitch slap at the end! That slut Renee needs to disappear!

Funeral of a tree hill resident. Nathan comes home for the funeral. Dan shows up to pays his respects. Nathan, Jamie, and Haley visit Quentin’s grave. Quinn goes to Tric and meets a guy. Julian gets hit on by Alexis, Mouth gets a job offer for a news station in New York.

I agree. Not feeling the chemistry with Quinn and Clay. I hope Renee’s number on the cell bill was Nathan calling to tell her nothing could happen between them and that’s why she’s out to get him. He rejected her and now she’s out for revenge. I just hope all this crap is over within the next few episodes so they can pick on Brulian for a while and leave Naley in peace. Hey, Nathan did say to Jamie that if Jamie has another brother or sister it will be his and Haley’s!Foreshadowing for later in the season?I hope so!

I mean, I adore Clay. But he just so conveniently goes soft for his favorite client’s sister-in-law? Agh, somebody slap me.
And I’m so not warmed up to Quinn. It seems like they really reeeally want us to root for her, and in that process, it becomes SOOO forced. Can’t we have at least one person we’re allowed to intentionally dislike?
So no. I am completely not feeling it. The whole idea, like I said, is much too forced and I just don’t want them together lol.

Kinda Funny. I only come here to read the fighting. It gets pretty entertaining. I love OTH no matter what anyone else says, so I really dont care about the comments. I just love to listen to complete strangers argue. And I have to say, I love that Haley hit her, I just wish she would have drop kicked her, and ran her over!

kay, what about Dan, Alex or Rachel? I mean Alex was kind of nice in this episode and I think they are just playinh on Brooke’s insecurities with Julian, nothing wil happen. But Dan and Rachel have always been good characters to love to hate altohugh im not sure this season with the two of them married, talk about out of the blue.

I think Clay/Robert is definitely the best new addition. You can see different nuances and he isnt one dimentional like Quinn (for example).
Alex is a hoot, but she is gonna seriously piss me off next show im sure…poor Brooke. As for Julian, i just dont know what to think at this point. The story and Austin’s acting choices are so different from last year that i find it distracting. I need him to get away from all the chicks and interact with the boys or something…macho up a bit, lol.

Yeah James looked hot, but that’s about it, you need to act too. He needs to step up his “A game” in this story line because I am not feeling him into it. This is a big arc for the Nathan character and I think I am getting more annoyed at Nathan than feeling sorry for him. Is it James, the writing or both? Haley however is showing more of a fighting attitude than Nathan. I love her slapping the skank, to bad she is the one that gets to go to jail because she was defending her husband who conveniently left he alone at Tric to face the Paparazzi alone. Why did he leave her alone? Wouldn’t it have made sense for him to protect his wife from the paparazzi and leave together showing that they are a united front.
Another one who is not living up to their story line is Quinn. She also needs to do something because I am not feeling it at all.
Alex I love she is owning her role as the slutty ditzy starlit and Clay is so awesome with his character. I would love to see a fling between these two. Just keep Alex away from Brullian!

I think Nathan will step up after Haley goes to jail. From next week’s scenes it looks like he’s outside the jailhouse. I thought David was kind of cute. Maybe he should stick around and hook up with Miranda!!

Hey Geri (entry #54) Rachel is the girl who was Brooke’s frienemy in high school who became a cheerleader despite opposition. Mouth had a huge crush on her for a while, she hit on Nathan, Lucas and anybody else who did not seem interested in her, and eventually became accepted by the Tree Hill characters. Her hair was more red than brown in those episodes. My sister and I had the same comment that the female characters look so much alike it is difficult to keep them apart. They seem interchangeable.

This discussion seems to be simlar to a previous one with very few of us feeling Quinn and wishing she’d dissappear. So do not want her and Clay together – as already commented above – please dont put her and Clay together – give him some fun with a chick with personality! I really dont think she even looks anything like Haley so dont even see the “sisterly” thing happening.
PLEASE LET QUINN LEAVE ASAP! (Don’t mean to be rude but as on the other thread, Chantal aint cutting it for most in the acting OR personality stakes).
Love the season so far tho. Monday nites rock now!

I think having met Haley’s sister Taylor we were expecting a similar personality with Quinn. Maybe they were trying to make her too different. Either way they need to spice up her story lines. Also, you would think with this whole scandal thing she’d be more supportive of her sister. i know she’s going through her own stuff but still,her brother in law is accused of impregnating another girl!

its her acting ability nothing to do with the SL. Does not come natural at all maybe trying too hard to look pretty for the camera and not focusing on the acting.

I agree Quinns acting isn’t coming off very natural, you can tell she is trying to act. Hopefully she’ll grow into the character and get better, because it is painful to watch sometimes.

^Sometimes? I find it hard ALL times. Her scenes with Jamie are so unnatural.you have hit the spot – she has to TRY and it stands out a long way. Her acting isnt up to the others and she really doesnt gel with haley apart from not looking like her AT ALL!
I like Clay so please give him a hook up who has some life in her not boring Quinn – may be make him have to “fight” to get this girl. Or maybe he’s had her once and can’t forget her even though he thinks he can but she just stays there in his mind, maybe something she did or said but she makes him really work at getting her back in the sack.Not whiney Quinn.Please!!
Realy enjoying the eps so far and am psyched to know whats to come.
