JustJared: Sophia Bush & Austin Nichols Hold Hands
Sophia Bush stops by The Bonnie Hunt Show on Tuesday (October 13) and shares that she’s honored that she was be asked to join the organization Teachers Count because her teachers were so influential in who she has become.
The 27-year-old One Tree Hill actress said, “I think particularly with young people in the entertainment industry, the focus has gotten inappropriate. When people can have careers which consist of nothing but going to parties…and they get paid to go to parties because they’ve been less than clothed…it’s not something I can believe in. The ‘I”ll do anything to be famous’ standard doesn’t last.”
As for what she finds sexy, Sophia said, “I think smart is sexy because that’s all that lasts.”
We bet Austin Nichols is a very smart man, then! (They were spotted holding hands at Sunday’s Hollywood Style Awards.)

What I have a hard time wrapping my head around is that she’s constantly trying to come off as this smart, wordly do-gooder, scolding people for reading the tabloids, yet she hops from man to man and can’t seem to hold on to one for more than about 5 months! If smart is sexy that she’s kinda stupid! Maybe she’s pushing people away from the tabloids because everything written about her portrays her as trashy and shallow. Again, she’s constantly showing her “pretty” face at all the awards shows, and what-not but promotes brains over beauty and “gravity is going to happen” eventually mantra. WHAT A FREAKIN’ HYPOCRITE! Go away Sophia. And ya…like we really believe her when she says how difficult it was for her to play Brooke in the first couple of seasons…THEN WHY DID YOU TAKE THE JOB?! She needs to take advice from Lee Norris…he always says it’s not up to him or his place to have an opinion about his character–he leaves that to the writers and Mark Schwahn. Unlike Ms. Bush who I’m sure throws her unwanted two cents into every production meeting and/or script!

cmm- Thank you I so have to agree. Like she wasn’t popular in HS, give me a break. She also down played being Rose Queen for the Tournament of Roses parade in another interview, as if something like that was beneath her because she is just too smart. Give me a break, if she doesn’t care about being sexy and it’s all about brains then why is she so obsessed with fashion and wearing pretty clothes and dressing up all glam and posing her ass off for the paparazzi. What message is she sending young girls who can’t afford high end fashion or would even look good in clothing like that. Yeah, like playing Brooke was such a stretch for her and we can attribute it to her awesome actingLOL!!!! Come on, she is giving everyone a snow job. She had Chad fooled, then James and now Austin. What a fraud! I was rolling my eyes through the whole interview. Like her brains got her the role of Brooke, not her looks or her body. And her brains also got her all those B movies she acted in playing, oh yeah, the pretty girl. My rant is done.

I usually enjoy Sophia’s interviews, but this one was cringe worthy. And I get it, it’s a day time talk show, so they’re trying to appeal to a certain audience, but I have to agree, this goody girl image she’s trying to pull is a little ridiculous. She’s forcing it at this point. I also don’t get why she’s always saying how hard it was to play Brooke. It comes across as her bragging about her acting abilities.

jennie- Since it appears your dyeing to know, I will answer your question… because the interview was there. I come to this blog site to get news and info on OTH. I saw the interview and I figured I check it out. Nothing really exciting, I don’t go hunting her down just to criticize her, it was here and I watched it. I wasn’t going to say anything but then cmm commented on my exact same reaction so I thought, I guess I am not the only one that had the same reaction to her. I wrote down what I felt and I hit the submit comment and that is as plain and simple as that. Hard to play Brooke, please! What is Brooke some complex Shakespearean Character or something. And her new slogan, “smart is sexy” is such a crock coming from a girl who obviously thinks very highly of herself and uses her good looks to advance her career.

Seriously someone even makes comment that she has been to 3 events this past weekend. First they complain that CW does not promote the show then when someone is out promoting they still complain.

kara- She’s an actress for starters. She plays a role that began as a popular girl in HS/cheerleader/vixen. Most of her other movie roles were very similar to her OTH character. She has not done any “character” or period movies that take place in another era. They are basically the role of the pretty girl or the girl friend. She wears beautiful clothing and loves to attend fashion shows and glamourous events. To me she is contradicting what she is trying to preach, because a person who believes that smart is sexy would also be a person who didn’t care much about fashion or looking glamorous and would try to avoid it as much as possible. She seems to crave it, I mean she has even befriended some designers. Sure it is easy to say when you look like Sophia Bush,” smart is sexy” and then you see her in a designer gown and your like I guess smart is sexy, but you have to look and dress like that too. To me she is one big hypocrite. I think she is the wrong celebrity to send that kind of message. Pick something else Sophia, like animal rights to be your cause for the week.
Just like the whole “zero is not a size” they tried to do on OTH and they used Milli as the example. Milli is not even fat to begin with, she might not be a size 0 but she is no way a fat girl!!!!

Seriously seek therapy or better yet go and donate blood or do some charity work maybe it will help you be sane again. CEO, Athletes, Celebrities, etc are all hypocrite so I don’t know what world you are living in but its definitely not EARTH. BTW she was asked to be in that “Teacher Counts” organization.
