glad to see haley singing again on stage, hope nathan is there. since last time she sang he wasnt there, he spent the night talking to a ghost.

i wonder what naley storyline they are going to do after this whole renee thing is over, because the baby-daddy drama storyline better not be the only naley storyline this season……

is it just me or is do ya think if they never mentioned who the director was you wouldnt even notice?…i mean cmm,joy and james episodes last year were all good…didnt notice any difference in directing…would of thought it was just mark or joe or someone had i not known….

No, their drama will continue after. You can already see something brewing with Haley getting back on stage and Nathan signing another contract.
I agree. I wouldn’t have noticed. It all looks the same to me. I think I might have noticed the basketball scenes in James’ episode because those differed a lot from the others but probably not.

danika- i think the rest of the season is going to be naley getting their careers back on track at least there will be no drama with them splitting up

i hope the rest of the season is not about them getting their careers back, because that sounds boring. im enjoying this storyline they have now, because its something different. the whole singing/basketball thing is old, and i hope that there is something else in store for them.

since we know that they arent splitting up at all

it’s true the directing in all the episodes is good regardless who directed. if they hadn’t mention the directors names i wouldn’t have even noticed! OTH is a well filmed and directed show IMO.

No, no I know that, I mean just like that tiny bit of drama but nothing huge. We still need that drama; if it’s only them getting their careers on track.. well.. boring. But we’ve already had our major drama for the season, so anything we get will be just minor.

I hope Naley has to manage juggling their hectic schedules, family and having quality alone time. Maybe we can get some horny Naley because they will be missing each other because they are too busy. Last season we had slutty bathroom sex, this season maybe the pool? Why else would they spend so much on creating a pool on that set or maybe another bathtub scene. A girl can onlyelse dream.

As far a Brooke, I hope it isn’t that she can’t have any kids. I hope it is more in the lines that she has a miscarriage. Maybe that spooks Julian a little, the fact that she was pregnant, causing some uneasiness between the couple and then of course Julian will come around in the end and realize that he wants the whole thing with Brooke marriage and family.

we need naley drama or we are going to have a repeat of last season. i hope they dont focus so heavy on their careers, because that would be boring, and a real snoozefest.

I’m okay with Naley not having anymore drama. This whole Renee thing is enough for me. Maybe the drama will be with which team Nathan plays for next and maybe it will involve them having to leave Tree Hill.There will also be more drama with Dan returning to Tree Hill,especially if Rachel comes with him.

i think naley drama will be fine, it doesnt always have to be a scandel, or anything. it could do with a health scare, or something. i want something other then the focus on the careers, because like a lot of people already said…that would be boring.

speaking of health…why hasnt jamie been tested for hcm, i mean it runs in the family, and we never hear about it. lucas has it, dan has it, doesnt jamie run a risk for it as well?

I hope the rest of the season focuses on haley and her dreams. we are always seeing nathans. how will she handle
music and her family? there is alot of story in that as well.let nathan support her as well. as for jamie and hcm since nathan doesnt have it is in almost impossible to pass it on to jamie. dan has it that is how it was passed to lucas.

i for one dont want the rest of the season to focus on their careers, that would be so boring. i dont want haley to go on tour, because it would almost be like last season with nathan gone, we had like no naley scenes.

i really hope mark has something good for them. he started out the season with this big storyline, i really hope he doesnt end that storyline and we get another repeat of last season.

as for the hcm, yeah jamie can get it, because it is a genetic disorder. just because his father didnt have, doesnt mean the he cant get it. he still has the same genes as dan.

Watching Nathan and Haley deal with her music career could be really interesting. They both messed up so badly in season 2, and we don’t know for sure if they’d be able to make it work this time, though I hope they do. And I hope if they send Haley on tour, that Nathan and Jamie go with her. It’s the offseason, it’s not like Nathan’s working right now anyway.

As for HCM, according to wikipedia, HCM in real life is a dominant genetic trait, which means if Nathan doesn’t have HCM, he doesn’t have the gene for it. It doesn’t matter what genes Dan has, Jamie can’t possibly have HCM because his genes come from Nathan, not Dan, and Nathan doesn’t have an HCM gene to give in the first place. (sorry, the bio major in me felt like sharing). That said, this is Tree Hill and real life rules don’t apply, so who knows what could happen.

Alex76, i think that you are right on the HCM score. I have asked mysellf that before and the biologist in me whent for that. Sawyer will have to be tested though!

As for the Brook misscariage, its a possibility. She may have had one already. THe possitive pregnany test with Lucas. SHe wouldn’t have been that far gone at all when she took it so it wouldn’t have been obvious if she misscarried in the time between taking the test and the blood tests!!!

She and Julian are pribably be be going to discuss kids soon, as possibly shown in a near eppisde preview! She then goes to the doctors (following eppisode) as she finds out she is pregnant afterall and finds out that has had a misscariage! as there is now no pregnancy!

AS for Naley the rest of the season. I think that it shall be good. Not so much time together as they will both be buisy with there carriers (although we don’t know where Haley will be up on stage, could be at Trick) so hopefully we will be seing how hard that is but will be rewarded with amazing, sexy scenes when they are together!

I have liked season 7 so far. Thing that I would say is that we could have atleast had phone conversation between Naley and Leyton, to show that they are still in contact and are there for them during this Reene scandal!

Other than that, although it still fealls a little weird that Leyton are nolonger part of the show, it is still great and going from strength to strenght!

dan and jamie share the same genes. gentic disorders can skip a father and the son still have it. believe im a bio-major, we learned this. just because a father doesnt have a gentic disorder, but his father does it can still be passed to the child.

Autosomal (ie, gender independent) genetic disorders can only skip generations if some of the genes involved are recessive, but HCM is not. In the real world, it’s caused by a simple, autosomal dominant gene, which means, by definition, if you have an HCM gene, you WILL have HCM. You can’t have an HCM gene and not have HCM.

Dan and Jamie don’t share all of the same genes, they only share a quarter of the same genes. You only inherit half of your mom’s DNA and half of your dad’s DNA, you don’t inherit all of your parents’ genes. Each of Dan’s sons inherited half of Dan’s DNA, along with half of Karen or Deb’s DNA. Nathan lucked out and the half of Dan’s DNA that he inherited didn’t include the HCM gene. If it had, Nathan would’ve had HCM. Since there is no HCM gene at all in Nathan’s DNA, whatever half of Nathan’s DNA that Jamie inherited from Nathan cannot have included a gene for HCM.

If you wanna look at the flip side, we know that Lucas has an HCM gene, because he has HCM, so the half of Dan’s DNA that Lucas inherited DID include the HCM gene. And Alice is right, since Lucas has an HCM gene, it’s possible that the half of Lucas’ DNA that Sawyer inherited also includes the HCM gene, in which case she will have HCM. (There’s a 50% chance that she inherited it, assuming Peyton doesn’t have HCM)

Sorry if that was confusing, I tried to make it as straightforward as possible, and sorry for my extreme nerdiness, genetics has been drilled into my head for the past four years and I’m a little passionate about it

Well said Alex76. I am an anatomist at hart but no bits about it because of my Turner Syndrone (when my cells divided, didn’t have both XXs for sex chromosomes) and although I know a bit, the way you explained it was very clear.
