TVGuide: Tree Hill Star: New Episode Tells Stories the Audience Has Been Waiting to Hear

Monday’s episode of One Tree Hill (8/7c, CW) might just be the turning point viewers have been waiting to see all season. Executive producer Mark Schwahn calls “I and Love and You” a very emotional hour that delves further into Clay’s history and the Nathan love-child story line when Renee is featured on Dan Scott’s talk show. The episode is directed by star James Lafferty, who made his Tree Hill directorial debut last season. Lafferty told TVGuide.com that this was an “ambitious” episode that “tells a lot of stories that the audience has been waiting to hear.”

Clay (Robert Buckley) also has some intense, somewhat daunting scenes with guest star Amanda Schull, who plays a woman named Sara from his past. (Anyone else think Sara is dead and appearing as a figment of Clay’s imagination?) In the scene, the two had to jump off a bridge, which lead to more press than Buckley bargained for.

So excited, so excited!! Finally, we find out what happened that night. I really hope Dan’s gonna do something really evil to Renee; it would make my night!

I’m scared and excited at the same time to see what happened at the party!I just hope the party reveals that Renee is lying and how she set him up.It would make my night, too if Dan did something evil to Renee but deep down I don’t think he will protect Nathan. And let’s hope we finally get somethiing jucier then “he changed” with the whole Quinn/David storyline.

What about Leyton? I know thier gone, but it would be nice to know what happened to them. Where did they go? What are they doing? Will they be coming back? :-)

  4. danetta Says:

^ seriously, why having they giving us a proper explanation of where leyton went. i think the fans deserve that at least.

I’m pretty excited for tonight’s episode too! yay

and I think it’s smart that they haven’t directly acknowledged their departure. It’s kind of annoying, yeah, but it’s still smart. it leaves it open and doesn’t remind everyone of them being gone. It’s kinda subliminal and keeps things going forward.

  6. smf Says:

I agree Tiffany. They want us to concentrate on the characters who are there, not the ones who have left. And little references have popped up along the way.For now,I’m just assuming they went to stay with Karen so she could spend time with Sawyer.

  7. Jason Says:

Those are some very good points. However, when they do make references about them, it would be nice to know some background info. I still love the show and I think Mark has done a great job of introducing new characters.

Lucas and Peyton are gone forever. Please don’t even wish them back as guests on OTH 2.0. I don’t want to see the six seasons of work they put into the show trivialized with a 2 minute cameo in some stupid unrelated story line.

Just imagine Lucas & Peyton someplace living the fairytale life they always dreamed about instead of in Tree Hill with evil Dan, two faced Nathan, cheating backstabbing Brooke, and traitor Haley… they are in a much better place.

Having said that I could see Peyton returning once and a while to pick up the checks/money from Tric or maybe sign some business papers related to it. Doesn’t Karen still own Tric? Oh yeah that was never explained either.

  9. haley rocks Says:

The tragedy that is Lucas & Peyton probably ends with her dying an early death like both her mothers and Luke being left as a single parent to raise Sawyer, as Karen raised him against all odds. Personally, I’m glad to not have to endure their angst of being parents, after having to put up with their brooding for the past six years. In the end who cares, if for some ungodly reason they do return, I hope it is to take Quinn and disappear into the sunset again.

  10. B Says:

I think that they never said exactly where Lucas & Payton went so people could have it end in what ever way they invision it in their own imagination. Basically your own happily ever after. It is time to move on and enjoy the new One Tree Hill and what is going on now. In my own personal opinion I Love Season 7!! Can’t wait for tonights episode!!

What if they have a One Tree Hill reunion movie like they did with Sex and the City?
