The Wrap: The CW Gives ‘Life Unexpected’ a ‘Gossip Girl’ Boost
Posted on November 10th, 2009 by Amy
“GG” is expected to take several weeks off from the schedule, but it is not moving to a new night. That could mean that after a few weeks in the 9 p.m. Monday slot, “LUX” will shift to a more permanent slot– though just where on the CW’s schedule it’s headed remained unclear Monday afternoon.
It would make sense to rest “GG” for several weeks so that the show could air with a string of uninterrupted episodes in the spring. Erratic scheduling last year slowed momentum for the series.
And when “GG” does return, the CW could decide to rest “One Tree Hill” for a couple of months, slotting “LUX” into the 8 p.m. Monday position.

AARK that better only be while they are hiatus or something!!! They should “rest” Melrose Place or something

Wouldn’t it make more sense to put the show where TBL was

This what I posted under the comments section of the article.
They should not take OTH off for a couple months unless its doing its normal hiatus that would be stupid to take off one of there highest rated shows on the network. They might start losing the OTH viewers as well especially there isn’t much keeping some us that watch now with Lucas and Peyton gone. If you had a long break in between there also they can pretty much say bye bye to OTH viewers.

Wow, so Gossip Girl gets a couple of weeks and we get a couple of months? How is that fair?

Probably because we are owning Gossip Girl in the ratings to the point where they had to advertise a “threesome” which was nothing but two girls kissing in front of a guy just to boost their ratings… what I don’t understand is that they wanna get rid of our show for a couple of months, a show that’s been on for seven years, as opposed to 90210 or Melrose Place or that Vampire Diaries show. It makes no sense at all =/

a couple months off? can the cw give oth fans a bigger fu than this. i read the variety article and it didnt say anything about a couple of months, it said weeks.
all i know is good luck to this new show. because if the cw screws oth fans by doing this, than i know a lot of oth who wont watch this new show. lux has no fanbase, and they are putting it up against house, two and half men, and the big bang theory.

lux is getting 12 episodes. and i dont think the cw will take oth off for months, maybe 6 weeks, for the long hiatus. this season has 23 episodes, and we are already on episode 10.
plus i agree with lulu, good luck to lux they are going up against house when they take oth time slot. and the show has no stable fanbase.
as for oth, i am thinking if we get an 8th season the show will be moved again. remember that article where the head of cw said that no matter where they put oth fans follow?

Let’s not get scared I mean come on this is a new show with no fanbase going up against House, 2 1/2 men and the big bang theory? It will probably bomb as quick as the Beautiful Life.
