7.10 You Are a Runner, and I Am My Father’s Son Recap

Nathan explains to Haley that he just got fired.  The roster is locked.  They signed a point guard and it’s not him.  Nathan says he’s going to see Clay.  He said he would make sure it would happen.
Julian is upset with Alex and says she’s being manipulative.  Alex says it was full of cocaine.  He says don’t call him until she can explain.
Millie does a line of cocaine in the bathroom.
Julian stands outside Brooke’s door.
Brooke lies in bed.
Rachel looks at pictures at Tree Hill High.
Nathan comes into Nathan’s.  Nathan tells him about his job.  Clay didn’t know about it.  Quinn walks in and Nathan says you WERE my agent.  Nathan says I asked you to do two things.  Get my job and stay away from Quinn.  You’re fired.  Enjoy your date.

Clay talks with the team.  He complains because he was in the middle of a negotiation.  They confirm they’re capped out.  Clay tells Quinn he thought he was doing what was right.  Quinn asks if she can help.  He says no.  He needs to call some people to find him another spot.  She should get going.  She apologizes for taking his time lately.  She tells him to call Nathan and talk to him.
Skills checks his phone in bed at 3am.  Lauren is there.  They hear that someone is up.  Millie is going through her clothes in the living room.  Mouth comes to check on her.  She’s clearly hyper and alert.
Haley blames Quinn for Nathan’s job.  She tells her to go sleep on that.
Julian wakes up on Brooke’s couch.  He apologizes.  She’s upset because she thought she was pregnant and he was with Alex.  She’s says I’m not so you’re good.  He says I would have been good if we were.  He says you’re upset.  She says a little.  He hugs her.
Millie raids Alex’s closet.  Alex says she’s taken almost everything and realizes she’s probably the one that took the drugs.
Clay leaves a message for Nathan.  Nathan ignores it.
Dan meets Rachel at the school.  She wants to film a live broadcast from the hall where he shot Keith.

Alex tells Julian she knows who took it but she can’t tell him.  He just got off the phone with his dad and he wouldn’t take it.  There were too many similar scripts in production.
Clay is on the phone.  Another dead-end.
Nathan and Quinn arguing.  Clay’s boss calls. Quinn says don’t tell them he fired Clay.  He’s been through a lot.
Victoria walks in COB.  V says a call after midnight and no message is a call for help so she showed up.  Millie’s agent calls and V answers.
Brooke is with Millie and says 500K??  Millie says that’s what you paid Alex.  She says the campaign is a hit and she wants what is fair.  Brooke says it’s fair that they are friends, and she trained her and when she was miserable she moved her home.  Millie says thanks but it doesn’t have anything to do with that.

Nathan goes to see Haley at the studio.  She asks how it’s going…does she need to go platinum to keep the house?  He asks if he did the right thing with Clay?  She says he’s the reason they’re there but now he’s out of a job and then he’s sneaking around with Quinn.  Haley says they’ve worked hard and they need to put his career first.  Nathan needs to make a call.
Julian goes to see Skills.  He says SportsArc in LA wants to talk to him.  He tells him he has to move.
Alex tells Millie she needs to stop doing cocaine.  Millie denies it.  She tells her not to lie.  Millie apologizes and says she’s never done it before.  Millie says she can quit and she doesn’t need it.  Alex says she can’t be around it or friends that do it.  They hug.  Alex says she has to quit her drug too.
Brooke complains about Millie to Victoria.  She says she’ll take care of her.  V says maybe they can negotiate, we can’t fire everyone.
Quinn lets Clay in and Naley are meeting with his boss.  He tells him its best he resigns and moves on.  He refuses and then his boss fires him.

Dan goes to see Mouth at a restaurant.  He thanks him for Nathan and says good luck for the job search.  Mouth says what we did doesn’t matter, he still lost his job.  Dan says since when?  Mouth says TV can erase your mistakes or help you remember.
Millie tries to button a skirt but can’t.   She makes a call and says she’s needs a favor.
Quinn packs her clothes.  Haley says she’s running away again.  Quinn says it’s not just business.  Haley says Clay got careless.  Quinn says you mean with me  Fine, you can tell yourself that but Clay thought Nathan was worth more than the offer.  She tells her to sleep on that.
Brooke gets home where Julian is.  Brooke says she’s not good.  He says he knows he said to slow down but when they do get pregnant, it’ll be a great day and he’ll be more than ok.  Brooke says we won’t have that day.  They didn’t just tell her she wasn’t pregnant, they told her she can’t have children.  Julian tries to comfort her.  They’ll get more opinions and try everything.  He says I love you, that’s all that matters. Brooke says I love you too.
Mouth gets home.  Millie is in the room with someone.  She says McKenna is there and it’s model stuff.  They come out and look guilty.  Mouth goes to the bathroom and finds a rolled up dollar on the floor.  Mouth asks her what’s going on.  She denies it.  She says it was McKenna.  He asks if she’s doing cocaine.  She says no but her nose starts bleeding.  He says I think this is yours.  She starts crying.
Dan and Clay meet on the beach.  Dan asks what happened.  Clay said what are you going to shoot me. He drags him to the water and asks What did you do?  He tries to drown him.  He tells him to fight back and throws him down.  Dan says your new life starts today find a way to make it right.  He says I’m not his agent.  Dan says if you want to be an agent, be an agent and put on a suit.

Quinn laughs at Clay about Dan.  He says it’s a little funny.  Clay says he had it coming.  He was arrogant.  Quinn says he didn’t deserve to be fired.  Quinn says she moved out.  Clay wants her and offers her a place to stay.  Quinn says Dan was right about the suit.
Victoria and Grubbs talk.  He guesses her drink.  Martini, shaken and dirty.  V says she’s looking for a lover.  Chase comes up and V can’t remember him.  He says I used to be your daughter’s lover.  She says for about 30 seconds from what I heard.  She leaves.  Chase says she must have the mark of the beast and Grubbs says I thought she was kind of hot.  Alex comes up and Grubbs gets her shots.  Millie joins her.  Alex takes a drink and says she never got a text message she was expecting.  She asks Millie to stay with her.
Clay is at a bar.  Dan says the suit looks nice.  He tells him his wife died, suddenly and unfairly but she believed in him so he buried her and then went to work so don’t tell him about fortitude because this is the farthest from his darkest day.  He starts to walk away.  He says this might be my darkest day but at least there is hope for my and Nathan.
Alex and Millie continue to take shots.  V watches as they leave and makes a call to the police to report a DD.
Dan sits in the hall at school and has flashbacks of Keith.
Haley sits at home writing.  Quinn comes in and says she’s going to say goodbye to Jamie.  Haley says she used to look up to her but she doesn’t anymore, she seems selfish.  Quinn says I hope everything works out with Nathan.
Millie gets stopped by the officer.
Clay goes to see Nathan at the Rivercourt.  Clay apologizes for not getting him what he wanted.  He’s his best client ever and he’ll miss representing him.  He’s also the best friend he’s ever had and he’ll miss that more.  Good luck.
Brooke gets a call while she’s in bed.  It’s Millie calling from jail.  Brooke says I can’t help you.
