You Know I Love You, Don’t You Reaction

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Let’s get straight to it:

  • While I haven’t forgiven Nathan and Haley for their treatment of Clay yet, I did like to see them work through their decision on what to do with their careers.  Nathan’s map was so sweet and he earned a gold start for that.
  • Millie’s behavior has got to stop.  She left Mouth standing there and that is just NOT cool.
  • Mouth and Skills in LA?  Send a camera with them!
  • Julian was so wrong to tell Alex he wants kids.  I don’t blame Brooke for wanting a break.
  • I have to say the last scene with Alex shocked me a bit.  We had heard in spoilers that a suicide was coming but I don’t know, part of me thought it might be Clay.  But the last scene left my mouth agape in shock.  I really hope Julian gets there in time to save her.
  • You know I love Clay but his scenes were a bit of a drag tonight.  Nothing much to comment there except to say I hope something turns out well for him soon.  Some Sara appearances would be ok by me!
  • Quinn once again irritated me by just walking out on Clay.  She keeps running!  Her only saving grace is she went to his assistant for help.  I’m intrigued to see what she has in mind.
  • Two seasons later, I’m still on the Dan train.  I think it was honorable of him to go warn Nathan about the upcoming episode and I truly think he is doing it for the right reasons.  But Rachel?  She is pond scum to me.  I can’t believe she gave him that line about deserving half tonight.  Jimmy’s mom should have slapped her instead!

Honestly an overall slow moving episode.  The previews for next week look good though and hopefully they’ll really build on a lot of the decisions we saw tonight.

Alex doesn’t die, we know this from other spoilers. Both Rachel and Dan deserved a slap, I hate them both this ssn (and Dan pretty much every ssn)

  2. K Says:

Can u post promo? I didn’t get a chance to see it.

  3. Amy Says:

the person that normally posts it had DVR issues. i’ll post as soon as someone has it up.

  4. jackie Says:

a little slow, but it picked up.

still hate quinn, im so sick of her i dont even pay attention to her. clay was boring too, but i have a feeling that he is going to pull a miracle out of his ass and save nathan…rolleyes…

loved loved loved naley, that is why they are the best couple on this show. nathan and his cheesy map, awwww. still dont think naley did anything wrong so they are still at the top of my list.

poor jamie he has no friends left :(

  5. jackie Says:

oh forgot…..great job with alex. i thought it would be millie who tried to kill herself…

  6. K Says:

    Ok thanks Amy.

  7. Ryan Says:

I’m with you on Dan. I threw the pen in my hand at the TV when Nathan said Dan never did anything to help anyone. Um… anyone else recall a couple of Nanny Carrie incidents? Dan didn’t have to save Jamie the first time, or Haley, Jamie and especially not Deb the second time, but he did.

  8. Maggie Says:

I acutally didn’t mind Quinn too much this episode. And I am sure that it was because she was not with Clay the whole time. Not that I love her or anything (cause I don’t, I actually have hated her for the better part of the season) but tonight I felt she was tolerable…aside from walking out on Clay. You’re right Amy, she seems to do that a lot.

I liked the Nathan/Haley stuff tonight. Nathan’s map was precious. Like all kinds of adorable. I feel really bad for Jamie though. Hope he doesn’t freak out when he finds out he is going on tour with his mom.

Millie needs to get into rehab fast.

As for Alex, I too knew there was a suicide attempt coming up, but I didn’t know it was tonight! So my mouth was catching some flys during those last few moments.

I like Clay by himself but tonight he was boring. They should have substitued his scenes for some Brooke and Haley scenes. Haley needs to know what is going on with Brooke and vice versa.

    Looking forward to next week!

  9. Danika Says:

Dan didn’t deserve the slap as much as Rachel did. Dan at least felt horrible about doing it even though ratings outweighed any remorse he felt. But Rachel seems to get away with everything when she’s behind all of these plans except the Renee episode. Whoever plays Jimmy’s mom did/does a great job. Love her.
Yeah, we know she doesnt die, but that doesn’t make the suspense any different. It still freaked me out seeing her in the bath tub.
Before I forget, next episode, Naley water (maybe milk in some?) balloon fight! Ahhhh!
Okay, now speaking of Naley, loved them tonight. Nathan was so cute with the map thing. I thought it was so thoughtful.
I didn’t mind Quinn tonight except when she ran out. Why didn’t she go comfort him? You’re right Amy, she always runs away from her problems. But I liked when she was talking with Haley. It was good.
Alex, Alex, Alex.. she’s such a manipulative bitch and Julian falls for it. Brooke had every right to be jealous. You make something up, you don’t spill something that big because you panicked! Thank god she wants space.
Millie please get better you big dummy. I can’t believe you! I thought the DUI and Mouth & Alex not being able to be around her would change her but it didn’t.

  10. loveOTH Says:

because of clay’s mistake, look what he’s done to the Scott family. At least with Nathan in the NBA, they can be in the same country ! poor jamie! and it was right for clay not to pressure that kid into signing with him, he’s messing wiht people’s lives.

i hate how haley went to quinn and at least quinn propped haley up a little but quinn didnt even apologize too, hello? did you just not hear what you sister told you and the mess your boy toy caused?

likewise, i still feel bad for clay and im waiting for him to whip somethin out of his ass to save the day, shame that quinn will have a role in it.

speaking of quinn, still dont like her, thought her lines with clay at the end were hypocritical but we finally got less of her, thank god!

i liked how haley wrestled with the choice but nathan, come on man. suck it up and stay with your wife. nba to european league, thats a big downgrade, go on tour with your wife, she’s going to be red hot and every team would have renewed interest in nathan.

  11. lulu Says:

quinn was where she needs to be…in the background.

as for naley, loved them. the map, and nathan i LOVE him.

dan dan dan. hang in there, nathan will come around.

jimmys mom was wrong she didn bury her son alone, lucas and company showed up at the funeral with her.

i agree jackie, clay will pull a miracle off and be the hero.

  12. Claire Says:

Naley was good this episode. However I feel they have become the “filler” couple. NEWS FLASH MARK: THEY ARE THE MAIN COUPLE!

Their scenes used to be epic and romantic. Now it is turning to crap and becoming cheesy. I like cheesy if it is only what we get from Naley.

Honestly this season would be so much better if the Naley scenes just picked up!

  13. tiff Says:

haley&quinn they shouldve let made it brooke/haley scenes

  14. ann Says:

i agree that nathan and haley have become fillers. they are trying to get us to like the new people at the expense of others.i really wish they had sat down like a normal married couple and discussed this. instead of the discusion she had with quinn ,haley should have had it with nathan . quinn just irritates me,haley again showed she was the bigger person and sought quinn out for her advice. quuinn didnt even apologize.she needs to leave. with is what she always does anyway.

  15. Mandi Says:

Lulu – I agree with you about Jimmy’s mom… I felt bad for her, but she did have Lucas there by her side. That was also at the time that Lucas thought her son murdered his uncle. Lucas was able to forgive and be there with her to provide some comfort. I’m not saying this woman should roll over and forgive Dan, but I think that Dan is genuinely trying to make amends with his life. I also think that Dan is one of the most interesting characters on the show… there are so many layers to his character. I agree with Ryan that Dan has shown himself to be willing to sacrifice himself and to take no prisoners when it comes to protecting his family from psycho Nanny Carrie. You’d think that they’d be a little more appreciative… I think Jamie’s quote from the camping trip sums up my opinion about Dan (he saved us AGAIN, now can we forgive him).

  16. Mandi Says:

I forgot to agree with tiff!

I’m perplexed by the lack of Brooke & Haley scenes! It is like the two don’t live in the same town… I can’t believe that Brooke wouldn’t turn to Haley at this point, and I can’t believe that Haley is about to leave on a tour with Nathan moving out of the county and neither thinks to talk to Brooke. The show should really bring back their friendship… it is much more genuine and seems more natural than Haley turning to her “big sister” who hasn’t been around for the past seven plus years.

  17. othfan24 Says:

this is feeling like the final season for the show.

-peyton and lucas are already gone
-nathan getting ready to play ball out of country and haley going on tour
-mouth and skills possibly moving to LA
-millie needs to get to rehab
-clay is going who knows where
-brooke and julian taking a break so julian may be gone for a little while

thats going to leave brooke, brooke’s mom, and dan left in tree hill. how is that going to work? are they going to take another jump into the future? are they going to bring back lucas and peyton now? or is everyone’s plans not going to happen?

this is a mess. what is going to happen after next weeks show. there is a month and a half break until the next episode and i think the show is going to have a complete change by then.

  18. lulu Says:

nathan and haley are NOT leaving tree hill. they will be “gone” while the hiatus is going on. joy and james arent leaving the show, they signed on for an 8th season, so if we get another one they will be there.

  19. othfan24 Says:

    lulu,

so they will be taking another jump in the future after the hiatus?

a concert tour and basketball season could be roughly 6 months or so. so after the hiatus alot can change right?

  20. lulu Says:

haley leaves for tour next episode, and when the hiatus comes back she wil be in tree hill. according to fanfourm we will probably be seeing falshbacks from her tour.

as for nathan, you know that clay is going to pull through something for him. clay is going to be the hero and he will be in nathans good graces again….its not really a big shocker.

  21. lisa Says:

naley arent going anywhere. they are not leaving the show. haleys tour will be over once the show comes back from hiatus, we wont actually see her on tour.

nathan isnt going to play in spain. its really no big spoiler to know that clay is going to do something. this is just supposed to be a cliffhanger, but its not a very good cliffhanger since majority of fans wont be suprised by the outcome.

  22. jennifer Says:

I thought the epsiode got better as it moved along loved the through back with ” apenny for your thoughts”. I love jamie/jackson but it’s becoming a bit over kill. I mean “White man can’t jump it’s my favorite.” He’s 7 I’m sure some of you guys have seen the movie and I know what I mean, I get it was a cute little scene but a 7 yr watching a movie where the leading lady is naked a good 1/3 of the movie and is about hustling money.

  23. Danika Says:

No, Lisa we will see her on tour just probably not in the moment sort of thing. Like lulu said, it’ll be in flashbacks but we will see the tour.

  24. alex76 Says:

I thought Jana and Sophia were great tonight. I felt so bad for Brooke, and Sophia played it out really well. And as totally disturbed as Alex is, Jana has been completely on point. I was very skeptical of Alex at the beginning of the season, but it’s hard not to care about her. There hasn’t been one scene with her this entire season that I felt was stilted or unconvincing. I haven’t been a huge fan of the acting from some of the other new castmembers, but Jana has been consistently impressive. Major props to her.

And I loved the Naley cheese. freaking adorable.

  25. Erin Marie Says:

This wasn’t the best episode ever but it definitely wasn’t the worst. I loved Naley tonight. At first I was irritated that Nathan didn’t react at all when Haley said she would be going on tour. She is finaling getting her dream and he just sat there. Yes, I know the info threw a wrench in his Spain plan but still… However, Nathan redeemed himself with the map. That was so cute!Still wish he could go on tour with Haley and Jamie but I guess we can’t get everything.

I liked that Quinn was being more of a supportive sister tonight but I agree that it would have been better if they had replaced those scenes with Brooke and Haley scenes. Brooke and Haley need more screentime together!

I felt so horrible for Brooke tonight. If it is not bad enough that she can’t have kids, but she is still having to deal with Alex and Julian. Plus, Millie has gone off the deep end so Brooke can’t talk to her and she obviously isn’t talking to Haley. Its sad when the only person she has to talk to is Victoria!

I like Clay but not enough to watch an entire storyline centered around him. When he is doing scenes with the Scotts I love him. I even was ok with his scenes with Sara but tonight his scenes just didn’t work for me. He needs to get back in with the Scotts.

Overall, I liked the episode and I can’t wait for next week!

  26. nabs Says:

aww..poor brooke! =( how much torturing do the writers wanna put brooke thru?? it was so wrong of julian to tell alex that stuff but i also feel sorry for him too. i loooove brulian..best couple since brucas so everything better work out for them in the end. now im dreading male alex character..

i liked quinn in this episode. feel sorry for clay.
    victoria was awesome!
MILLIE- get off my screen!!!!!!! i’d rather you commit suicide!
and as for alex..im not sure what i think- pretty shocking but i dont her suicide attempt will be successful.

    cant wait till next episode!

  27. bobolina Says:

brooke was heartbrakin (i’m from israel so if i have mistakes forgive me) and the first time i think julian is an ass – i think he should have told alex in their last sceane that he is in love with brooke. and what will happened next? he will be with alex beacuse what she did, hale will be on the tour and brooke will be alone. like some said here – she deserve some happiness.

  28. ed fury Says:

Robert and James both filmed a movie recently didn’t they? Would explain some of the vanishing act planned for their characters.

I heard spoilers about Brooke and Chase hooking back up again is that after the Holiday break?

I feel sorry for Dan but he did kill his brother and no matter what you try to do you can never change it or bring Keith back. Doesn’t matter if he saves someone every single day he still killed someone in cold blood out of hatred and jealousy and just being pure evil.

Oh yeah Quinn did good tonight. Can’t wait to see Quinn, Haley, and Taylor all together in a scene. The James sisters will kick ass.

  30. Latiatia2a Says:

I’m posting my first post in here but here are my thoughts about last night episodes’s :
First of all I may be the only one here but I was disappointed in naley’s storylines this season, that is probably why I am totally on Quinn/clay team. The reason why I say that is it might help you understand why I thought about this episode.

    – So about naley, I finally enjoyed them in this episode, they were the reason why I started watching the show but I was getting annoyed by everything that happened to them. In that episode, even if they had hard choices to make ( Spain or tour ) they found a way to fix it ’cause they love each other and they would make everything to make the other happy, that’s what I loved about them and that’s what was obvious in last night epi ( but not so much in the previous ones).

    - Now about Brooke and Julian, I love both of them individually and as a couple, but I think that right now they definitely needed a break with everything that happened because of Alex, and Brooke not being able to have a child, it’s quite a hard time for them. Specially for brooke I think she needs time to think about her problem, which is a big one and can’t think of anything else at the moment.

    - Alex, I didn’t like her at first, and I can’t say I like her now but, she made me being sad yesterday. She is suffering a lot, and I think maybe she’s got some bipolar issues or something like that. Or maybe she’s never been really stable and that julian thing made he try to commit suicide.

    - Milli/Mouth : I’m glad Mouth talked to her like that, maybe she will wake up and realise what she is losing acting like she does. I honestly thought it would be her who would try to commit suicide.

    - Quinn / Haley, There again I’m probably on the minority about it, but I’m glad that it was haley who apologized, of course Quinn isn’t perfect but I don’t think she is the reason why Nathan lost the job, so she wasn’t the one to blame.

    - Clay, Well I hope (and think) he isn’t leaving, I want to see things getting fixed between him and Nathan, I want to see his relationship with Quinn evolve, and I hope she can help him being an agent again. I felt sorry for him when the guy told him he was an agent without agency and that he couldn’t be his agent anymore.

In conclusion, that episode made me think of the old (and good) “One tree hill”, and it also made me understand why I like the new storylines (about the new character) so much, it brings fresh air to the show, and I thnik it’s good to alternate between old/new thnigs.

That was long, sorry. I hope you understood ’cause english isn’t my first language so I probably made mistakes while writing.

  31. El Says:

I’ve been trying to give this season a chance but I can’t take it anymore!
What has happened to one tree hill? I used to love it so much and seasons 1-4 i was able to watch over and over again and season 5 wasn’t bad and season 6 had some good bits but it’s gone in the crapper this season.
Naley have completely lost all the spark and fun they used to have and I really don’t like how they’ve changed Haley’s character. She’s so self righteous and annoying.
Also Brooke’s the only one who gets any decent story lines but I don’t like the way they have her handling them, although I was almost in tears when she was telling Victoria.
As for the other characters, skills and mouth yes give them story lines.
Millie, Alex, Dan, Rachel Clay and Quinn… What do they even add to the show apart from wasted film?
There are too many characters who we don’t care about given too much screen time.
And I’m not a big Lucas/Peyton fan but I can’t help but feel that by losing the core group of One Tree Hill it has ruined the show.
It’s good how they reinvented themselves but they’re running dry and going stale and it’s going to end up that they’re last season (because I can’t see them getting another) wasn’t very good.
I hate that I’m not enjoying One Tree Hill anymore but it used to be based on the relationships all the characters had with each other but now it’s all about solo characters.
One Tree Hill has forgotten what makes it good therefore it isn’t anymore.
I hate to say this but I had to rant somewhere.
Sorry if you don’t agree but I miss old OTH!

  32. SMB Says:

something was off in tonights episode! it was kinda boring but there are some things that i liked:
    - Victoria, i love her yhis season she’s like brooke’s gaurdian angel.
    - Naley were cute tonight and i loved that Nathan stepped up and supported his wife like i knew he would :)
    - Brooke liked her tonight, poor girl.
    - not to much Quinn phew!
    - Dan i felt bad for him at the end.

    what i didn’t like:
    - the RC scenes were way too long not to mention pointless and not funny as it was suppose to be.
    - Milli has become this horrible person it annoys me too much i can’t stand her!
    - Alex needs some serious help and intensive therapy lol!
    - Rachael how did she become so so…evil?!! it’s like dan’s evil spirit left him and possessed her lol!

  33. plussizzegrl Says:

I used to ship Brulian but now I don’t know if I do anymore. Brooke wants someone to understand her more than Lucas did and I’m not sure Julian fits the bill. She’s always wanted a partner she could take to and trust. Just those two things and Julian, at the moment, fits neither description. He won’t cheat on her like Lucas but he keeps doing things behind her back and everyone knows B.Davis hates secrets. He’s screwed up a few times in that department already and she forgave him everytime but talking to Alex about Brooke’s problem is unbelievable. As if Alex gives a damn about Brooke. If she really did, she wouldn’t have tried to get in between them. I can’t believe how dense Julian is being. Thank God for Victoria, she was definitely the silver lining to all of this.

  34. plussizzegrl Says:

I meant *talk to and trust

  35. cbs123 Says:

I think the reason we aren’t seeing lots of Haley & Brooke is because of how they are filming episodes.

It seems that James L & Robert Buckley have been filming a movie in Austin TX on the side and that Austin was filming a movie in LA as well. It seems to me like the show is filming three storyline arcs right now and they aren’t being filmed on the same days, each has been scheduled to fit the needs of cast members working on outside projects.

So that means that the Brooke,Julian,Alex,Millie,Moth and Victoria stuff is one arc. Those actors work together…

Then you have Haley,Nathan,Quinn,Clay & Jamie in their arc…

and the third arc would be Dan & Rachael who are off on their own.

A few episodes have had all the characters together, but for the most part I think it’s filming that keeps the storylines apart.

  36. ed fury Says:

They need to have contracts that exclude them from filming movies during their OTH filming schedule. Either move on and do movies or do your main job as a tv character and film movies on your own off time.

  37. cbs123 Says:

They do have contracts that state they cannot do outside projects during the season without approval from TPTB.
So it seems that TPTB didn’t think it was that big a deal and found ways to film around their projects.

Even if they were not working on outside projects, the show might have contained the storylines anyway. Lots of show film like that.

When the cast was in highschool they had a central location in which their storylines revolved, now they don’t. That’s the one thing missing from the show, it doesn’t have a hube.

  38. lst Says:

Where the heck did Mark come with Quinn? She finally persuaded me, she’s a snoozefest. Thet’s a shame.

  39. kate Says:

Millie is soo disgusting…pff..Jimmy’s mom..Hmm it was goooood.Brooke was good just as always..And victoria..it was soo nice..mom & daughter scene :) :) .Alex:pathetic.. but i think she’s not gonna die..Julian will come again Just in time….. pff

  40. LeytonKillsBrucas! Says:

how anyone could possibly call this show “one tree hill” anymore is beyond me… i cant believe there are people out there that are actually buying into this crap. this used to be my favorite show, but now i’m almost ashamed to say that i even watch it.

    -the heart is gone
    -the purpose is gone
-the deep conversations and relationships between the characters are gone
    -the new/interesting/relatable storylines are gone
-the important, underlying messages are gone
-the core 5 group is gone

…the show is gone! all that is left now is a jumbled mess consisting of: jokes and scenes that are SUPPOSED to be funny… but ARENT, too much focus on characters that we don’t care about, meaningless conversations, and repetitive or flat out dumb storylines.

this show used to have meaning, and a purpose. it used to relay a message in every episode. people used to be able to relate to it, and really FEEL what was going on in the storylines. but not anymore. now watching it is just a way for me to waste an hour of my life every monday night. i’m officially finised. END RANT :)

  41. lake Says:

i think this will be the last season of the show and it should be. it realy should’ve ended in season 6, it was a perfect finale, but i just can’t see the show making it to season 8. there are no more good storyline left and the overall feel of the show is so different.

i just hope james lafferty gets a lot of good work after the show because the thought of not seeing him every week makes me sad.

  42. elle Says:

I think people need to get over the fact that “the show has changed” and it’s “not One Tree Hill anymore.” Of course it’s different… this is SEASON 7! Are you the exact same as you were seven years ago? Do you have the exact same friends & spend your time exactly the same way now as you did then? Probably not. Has no one new come into your life in the past seven years? If not, you’re probably living in a hole. Things happen. Life changes.

The episodes still tell stories, just different more mature stories. This isn’t high school anymore.

  43. cbs123 Says:

I don’t think the heart of the show is gone, nor do I think it should have ended last season.

But I do think their are to many cooks in the kitchen and way to many forced storylines. It seems that the writers want to drive certain storylines along and to do so they are willing to sacrafice the characters. At it’s heart OTH is a character driven show and when you alter character traits to move storylines along you lose your way.

    Clay & Quinn.
To be honest there is nothing that shows me why I should invest in them as a couple or why they would even be together at this point. It seems that her ex has dropped off the face of the earth and they forgot to show any physical attraction or longing on either’s part, they have skipped right to the boring couple mode.

    Julian.
He used to be smart, sexy and in control. How is it possible that just because he relocated to Tree Hill he has also lost his brain. Alex is recovering drug addict who was fired from her job by his live in love. She never wrote a script in her life, she also has been extremely forward about her interest in Julian to Julian.
Not to mention he influenc on the down turn Millie’s life is taking.
Was it to much work for the writers to set Julian up in an office with a few employees and allow him to make movies and take trips to LA and still remain in Brookes life. Was it to much to keep him strong and working and still allowing him to stay in Tree Hill.

Julian never had a problem with having a family with Brooke, he was willing to take Sam with them and be a family in LA. So acting as if he needed to slow things down isn’t inline with his character. The guy up and left a movie and moved to tree hill for Brooke. There is no way he would have wanted to slow down or would have fallen for Alex’s obvious tricks.

Brooke would so adopt, she already took in two children who weren’t hers and wanted to raise them, one a baby and the other a teenager. She would never say that adopting a baby isn’t the same. Plus, she told Haley she thought she was pregnant and then she didn’t tell her she couldn’t get pregnant.

To me these are all just plot points to advance the storyline in the diretion the writers want and they aren’t in line with actions the characters would normally take.

I feel as if Brooke didn’t tell Hayley so that they could use that to drive home the point that Julian betrayed her when he told Alex, that Brooke kept it between them and Julian didn’t. Just like I feel that Alex is being forced into Julian world in a non-believable way.

Loving Victoria & Brooke, not minding Haley & Nathan.

The show still has 1/2 a season left, it could be fine if they start to remember that the show is character driven and not plot driven.

  44. Avaxlove Says:

I actually like Clay and Quinn. I haven’t watched every season of the show, so I halfway expected Quinn to go around causing trouble. And in my opinion, she hasn’t necessarily done anything awful enough for her and Haley to be “fighting” She’s obviously looking for a change in her life and came home to her sister hoping she would be there to support her. And yes, sneaking around with Clay wasn’t Quinn’s best decision, Naley shouldn’t be so hard on her about it. I honestly don’t think Clay should have been fired. I hate this whole part about him and Nathan not working together anymore. In part because I just feel sorry for Clay. He doesn’t really trust anyone well enough to talk about his wife. This poor guy just keeps getting screwed. I was hoping after Quinn went off on Haley that she would start to realize that maybe it wasn’t completely Clay’s fault. I never saw it that way in the first place. I like Quinn and Clay and I hope their storyline keeps going.

I do miss the Brooke/Haley scenes. I am just awed by Sophia’s portayal of Brooke. She is a great actress and I am in tears nearly everytime she is crying or upset during her scenes. But I like the idea of having the sisters reconnecting. People aren’t always going to be as close as they want to be. With everything going on in Brooke’s life and everything that has been happening with Haley and Nathan, they probably just have too much going on to really get any good quality time in. And judging from the way Brooke has been acting, she seems to want to be alone anyway. Brooke will go to Haley, and vice versa when they are ready. That’s what makes their relationship so special, at least to me. Brooke probably feels pretty alone without Peyton around, too. There are alot of possibilities there.

I love Nathan, don’t get me wrong, but he seems to be a little too MEAN sometimes. While it’s completely understandable why he was upset with Clay and Quinn for sneaking around, he really took it too far in my opinion. They are adults and shouldn’t be treated like children. I get that they were clearly and understandably upset about Nate’s job, but Nathan and Clay are supposed to be really good friends, but he doesn’t really act like it. He didn’t even really give him time to explain. Jumps to conclusions, but hey, that’s what makes it drama and good television, right?

And the Jamie thing. They are really playing up his cuteness. Yes, I like the scenes of him being silly, but they have been doing this since he came onto the show, and it’s getting old and irrelevant. The fans of the show LOVE Jamie – so just stop.

Obviously since the audience knows the real story behind the relationship Alex and Julian have, I have always felt bad for him always having to defend himself to Brooke. On the other hand, I get Brooke’s side too (obviously), but when he told Alex about Brooke not being able to get pregnant (which I totally saw coming since she first started wanting children..season 5?), I totally hated him and was proud of Brooke for standing up for herself. I do like them together though, and I hope they work it out. Brooke seems happy with him and it’s obvious he adores her. He just has some growing up to do and some realizations to COMPLETELY come to, not just long enough to tell Brooke he is sorry, but to actually live by what he says to her. Brooke doesn’t like secrets, as someone before me mentioned, and this boy is just swimming in a sea of them.

This is really long. I just discovered this site and have been wanting to get it off my chest for awhile, but none of my friends watch the show!

cbs123 I totally agree with you. None of the story lines have been fully developed and they are so rushed and forced. What started out as a promising new season with the hopes of changes and a new creative touch is falling back to the old ways of seasons 5 and 6.

What are they planning for Naley once the hiatus is over?? They had their 5 minutes of story time and now times up for them for the rest of the season.

Will we continue to see Brooke cry for the remainder of the season and then when she finds out she is pregnant will she cry tears of joy. Her crying doesn’t phase me anymore because she cries so much, happy or sad, she is always crying!!

I had more interest in Clay in the beginning of the show, but he has been disappointing lately.

Millie is just way to out of character for me and Alex started off as a fun and amusing character and now she is become stalker-ish and pathetic.

    Quinn, no comment.

Skills and Mouth have fun in LA together.

  46. Steph Says:

It has nothing to do with the show and storylines not being in high school anymore. I wish people would stop saying that. High school being over, and the new “mature” storylines isn’t the problem. People aren’t complaining because the characters are older and out I’d high school… that’s not why we say it isn’t “OTH” anymore. it isn’t “OTH” anymore because the writing sucks, and there is no point to the show now, period.

And it’s not even about the fact that new people have come into the characters lives. It’s the fact that these new characters serve no real purpose. They aren’t needed, and it’s not necessary for us to know anything about them. They were just brought in because the show was desperate to find a way to keep the show going… instead of just pulling the plug when it was clearly time to. It’s the QUALITY of the writing, and the thought put into the show (or I should say lack there of) that has gone down hill. And the storylines aren’t mature, they’re stupid and pointless. These storylines aren’t anything that we haven’t seen before, or anything that we NEED to see in order for the shows story to be complete. The show’s story was complete last season. The continuation into this season was beyond unnecessary… and it shows.

  47. elle Says:

Steph, I’m not trying to be rude, but if you dislike the show so much why do you still watch? I just don’t understand why people continue to watch a show that they hate.

Again, not trying to be rude. I actually like it when people have difference of opinions… it makes life interesting. But it’s obvious you are still watching the show & you don’t even like it.

  48. Steph Says:

^ because like others, I continued watching this season because I was trying to give it as much of a chance as possible. I didn’t want to base my negative opinion off of just the first couple of episodes, I wanted to see if the season may have gotten better as it progressed. It’s a lose-lose for viewers like me. Either I’m called a “disloyal”, “close minded” fan if a don’t watch this season, or I’m criticized if I do watch it and give it a chance, and don’t like it… no natter what we do, we can’t win

  49. mary Says:

cbs123 ITA with you and this is what Mark does best, he completely ruins characters in order to get somewhere with his storylines.

Where did Julian from s6 disappear? He was ready to have a family with Brooke and Sam and now when it’s needed for new storyline things are different.
    Inconsistency in writing is unbelievable.

This whole season there are two parts of this show. On one side there is Brooke and people around her and on the other Naley. Core characters have minimal screentime and writers are pushing newbies way too much.

Brooke and Haley are supposed to be best friends and they had 6-7 scenes in 11 episodes. If I didn’t know better I would think they live in different towns.

  50. lake Says:

i also want to add that nathan is now a total zombie. even after this eventful season i don’t think he screamed or got mad or threw anything. am i the only one that feels like nathan is in a deep depression? i love james lafferty and thinks he’s a good actor and is probably directed to act like this, but his character is downright boring now.

  51. Weenie Says:

lake, I have noticed it too about James/Nathan since season 4. Something about Nathan just going through the motions and acting too scripted. Maybe they can add some more humor or something or better yet make him cocky again. Even his kisses have become a little stale too. I love Nathan and Naley and James but he seems to not be feeling it as much. Maybe he enjoyed playing the cocky BB high school player better than he does the married father. Naley in seasons 1-3 and parts of 4 were the greatest and Nathan definitely had more character. I still love Naley always will but something is missing and it just doesn’t feel the same. I know they are married a while now, but this is TV everything is exaggerated to some extent.

  52. Brooke Says:

I actually love Quinn and Clay, together or separate. I totally buy Quinn as Haley’s sister, I just don’t understand why so many people don’t like her. If they’d put Alex with Clay would people backlash against her as well? I like Clay’s character, but honestly tonight I was just frustrated with him.

As for Naley, I love them, but I feel like they were in the wrong about Clay and Quinn’s relationship. Quinn is grown and so is Clay so they shouldn’t be trying to tell them who and who they can not see. If it had been some random girl that Clay was into that was distracting him, I don’t think Nathan would of said stay away from so and so…Plus, I don’t think Quinn was distracting Clay’s career, he basically thought Nathan could do better and held out for more money/longer contract and lost. I understand that Clay messed up a little, but agents are bound to mess up every now and again, it’s a very risky job, I think Nathan over reacted. I know that we have a lot of Naley fans and that some of you think everything they do is right, but In this case I think they were in the wrong. However, I find it so weird that Clay and Nathan have been friends for so long and Clay didn’t mention his wife died. I kind of wish Quinn had told Naley about it so they’d be more sympathetic, but then again I’m glad she didn’t betray Clay’s confidence either.

I can’t stand Alex, she is so manipulative and needy. She knew Brooke and Julian were together and she just went after him. It was kind of said that she tried to kill herself but I still don’t really care if her character stays or goes.

Another person I am not liking is Millie, wow she’s gotten so mean since she started the coke. I can’t wait til she loses everything and changes back. I hope when she does that Mouth doesn’t just forgive and forget so easily again…. Brooke keeps giving Millie shot after shot, but she fired Rachel and blacklisted her when she was working and got on drugs, she needs to do that to Millie too. I liked highschool Rachel, and I like her as the villan, BUT she’s even getting on my nerves lately. At least before she had some redeeming qualities like her friendships with Mouth and Brooke, but now she’s completley gone over to the dark side.

Dan is one of my fave characters because he is so so many things…He can be a bad guy and a good guy and it’s believable. I couldn’t believe Nathan said Dan had never done anything for anyone considering he 1. took the fall for Nathan when he thought Nathan killed the guys that ran Haley over. 2.saved Jamie, Haley, and Deb from Nannie Carrie (He saved Jamie twice) 3. helped Nathan out of the whole Renee thing.

I miss Brooke having friendships and scenes with other people besides Julian, Alex, and her mom. I want Haley/Brooke friendship scenes. Don’t get me wrong I like the whole sister bonding thing with Haley/Quinn but I miss the friendships too.

Lately, I have been feeling like this is a whole different show than the one I have been watching since the beginning. I mean, with Lucas and Peyton gone you’d think we’d see more of Brooke, Haley, and Nathan but we get all the new people plus, Millie, Skills, Mouth ect. storylines falling in there that are taking too much time. I don’t mind seeing Clay and Quinn b/c I understand they are trying to build a relationship there, but the rest are secondary characters as far as I am concerned.

I still wish Lucas and Peyton would come back to the show, it would certainly help things out.

  53. cmmfan Says:

It felt like we were being set up for a series finale. I know there’s a hiatus coming but it will probably be January or February before we know if there will be a Season 8, so I think Mark is tying up loose ends now–just in case. Also, I love how Haley mentioned Peyton! And how Skills mentioned Lucas. <3

  54. oth Says:

season 7 is a huge joke ,it does feel to me like the show is being run into the ground at this point

  55. kelly Says:

really? we have been hearing the show sucks and needs to end now for the past two almost three seasons, if you dont like than dont watch.

as for last night show, it was ok. i still hate quinn, and wth haley had to make the first move with her no account sister. tree hill needs only one james and thats haley.

love naley, they were cute like always, but im hoping that the career storyline plays out, and we get something else, the scandal was good, but now that its over naley have become like s6…..

the writers need to focus more on the core three. clay is only good with naley, he was so boring last night.

  56. John Says:

Do you know what’s really pathetic, that people “hate” this show now, think it’s awful, a joke, pathetic, no redeemable qualities, etc. yet each and every one of them comes here every week to a fan site for said show to complain like clockwork. I have an idea, go find a new show, find a new hobby, find some enjoyment in life. It’s too short to have to listen to the same people moan about their misery every time I come here. There’s a line of what is considered trolling, 2 years of negative comments regarding a show YOU ARE AT THE FAN SITE OF crosses that line.

  57. loveOTH Says:

I love Oth but i have to agree the heart and soul of the show is gone. OTH was yes about the core 5 but more than that, it was the story of two brothers, Nathan and Lucas and with that dynamic gone, it leaves a big gaping hole.

With that said, i’ve liked things this season as well as my donts, overall i feel the show is trying to find it’s new center and at times it succeeds and then it fails. i thought the boys camping trip was going to be a dud but it turned out to be great while the girls night was a little disappointing. the naley angst was great with renee and now i dont know.

how anyone enjoys quinn is beyond me. clay is a great addition but he’s losing me with him and quinn. im sorry but quinn and alex need to go, they’ve had 11 episodes to impress me and quinn, i lost complete interest in her in episode 4. alex was a little refreshing, much better actress than shantel but now i’m hoping she dies.

  58. lake Says:

what i don’t understand are people who come on here and criticize people for not liking the show. it can still be your favourite show even though you don’t love every character or every plot point. and anyone who says this season is just as good as others is delusional. the reason people come on here to vent is because they love the show and they care about it. people who say that others should stop watching it are morons. it’s like having your favourite band put out an album you hate it and now you’re expected to never listen to any new music from them again. people keep watching because it is still their favourite show and they’re hoping it will get better. last time i checked you’re allowed to be critical.

  59. B Says:

I believe that people are just saying that you can have your view point and you can be critical, but some people ONLY post negative things over and over on here every week. When they say that the show sucks and should have ended already that would not be a true fan. At what point should you just stop if you only have negatives things to say? Maybe someone should start a new site for those who want to vent on a daily basis. And those of us who still like the show are not delusional! We have no problem with change and understand that life does not always go how we would like it to, as is what is happening with the characters.
Are all of the episodes great – No. But they are not horrible. I could probably pick a few story lines/episodes from all the seasons that were soso, so why should this year be any different.

  60. ed fury Says:

    ^^^ this times two

  61. Erin Says:

I actually really liked this episode. I just hate what they’ve done with Alex. I really liked her character at first, but this storyline is pathetic and a horrible choice for drama between BJu. Seeing this episode unfold with the possibility of practically everyone leaving Tree Hill just makes me more upset about LP’s departure. I wish they could have had a storyline similar to NH’s where they actually come to the decision on screen to leave and have a chance to say good bye to everyone (still bitter).

  62. Ellie Says:

Okay I didn’t read every single one of the posts since i had my little rant but i got the gist of the arguement between people who crticise and the others who said to stop criticising.
Now i know it has already been said but the reason we criticise is because we love the show and remember how lively and fresh it used to be and want to get back to that.
And I understand that it has to change and I don’t contest that, the only problem with it is that these are young successful twenty somethings but because of the premise of the show they can’t leave which is unrealistic.
And the reason I think it should end is because you can tell they’re having trouble coming up with fresh storylines and okay there has been good points of this season but I hate that it feels so repetetive. There needs to be some variety.
Also I said it before but plugging the whole that Lucas and Peyton left with character after character who we don’t care about just isn’t working.
OTH has hit a dead end, there is no further they can take it without it either becoming completely boring or just a joke.
Now I am still going to watch because I love this show and want it to get better and I can remember how good it used to be.
So to all of you who say we shouldn’t criticise stop. You don’t love OTH more than us because you are enjoying this season. I know that it’s because I love this show so much is the reason that I’m so frustrated with it.
