TVbytheNumber: CW: Is ‘One Tree Hill’s’ Cast Throwing In The Towel?

Posted by Amanda with 4 Comments

There’s frequent chatter in our comments about how one or more members of the One Tree Hill cast has claimed this was the show’s last season. I wouldn’t know, I don’t follow, let alone trust, anything that cast members say in public. It could in fact turn out to be true, but if One Tree Hill is cancelled it will have to be some non-ratings reason like that, because it has the ratings for renewal.

The CW returned last week with what was to be a full week of new episodes, but Friday’s Supernatural and Smallville were delayed for repeats of Nikita and The Vampire Diaries. It matters little for next season though, as except for Life Unexpected and Smallville, all the CW shows still look likely to be renewed for next season.

Life Unexpected’s season (and to anyone but the craziest of fans, series) finale was January 18.

They are definitely throwing in the towel. They don’t seem to care. Starting to wonder why I should…

I wished they cared more too.

This season has been hard to watch, ( I mean I’m a Leyton fan, and will always be one) But it kinda just seens like they don’t care, alot of the episodes they’ve had this season aren’t really anything special, and they are going aginst everything they’ve ever done in the past, The episodes are just cheezy corney episodes that don’t really tell us much about the charaters or help to devleope a story line. They’ve just put a whole bunch of these cheese fest together to make a season. I really hope they step up and make some better episodes, Classic OTH,The reason we started watching in the first place.

They’re done. Even if the CW wants to continue with the show, their contracts are up in May and it’s up to them if they want to renew. If they don’t, I don’t see the point in continuing OTH without James, Joy and Sophia (Austin too since he’ll leave if Sophia leaves). They need to go out on top and quit while they’re ahead instead of dragging out a show they clearly don’t care about doing anymore.

Well if this is the last season let’s hope that everybody gets an happy ending and we can see some old characters. And I hope when these actors leave the show for good that they will still have success because let’s face it. When you’re on a tv show for a long time and it ends and then you try to do movies etc… it doesn’t always work. So I hope they still have success after the show, I would hate for one of their career’s to hit a downfall.
