8.15 Valentine’s Day is Over Reaction

All in all a cute episode.
- Nathan and Haley – I loved seeing Haley get upset and Nathan’s response with the bedroom all done up!! The ho ho’s, the gift, the love. sigh… Gosh they are just perfect. I also loved that the showed ended with their kiss.
- I love that Haley spent the show snooping around for her gift. I liked the interaction with her and Quinn too.
- Jamie and Madison were cute. I enjoyed that they were sharing the shoelaces at the end.
- I really like the role that Chase is playing. Helping out and being there for Chuck. Looks like he is taking on more then just a big brother?
- Julian and Brooke cute but I kind of got tired of the role playing. I did laugh hard at the end with the pizza guy.
- Kind of shocked at the end with phone call that Mouth received.
Ok these are just a few of my thoughts. Tell me yours!!

i got cute last week, i didnt need it again this week, :sigh:
I loved Haley as always, she was adorable and funny as she snooped for her gifts and her hormonal side is awesome. I also loved NH in the beginning and end, I just wish Nathan didn’t call her dork or goof since I don’t really find it cute at all.

I did really like the Naley scenes and Haley snooping for her present, but I kinda wish we had gotten a little bit more of them.
I thought the role playing between Brooke and Julian was hilarious!
I also really enjoyed the scenes with Clay and Quinn, I think they are just soo cute together! <3
loved naley. thats was about it. i just cant get into brulian. i was bored with the whole role playing thing as well. no comment on clay and quinn. i just ignore them.
I loved this weeks episode……Finally got some great Naley…i hope the Naley stuff continues, i’ve missed it! As for everything else the epis just keep getting better and better as the season goes on!
I am kinda getting bored with the whole show at the moment…Where’s the drama? It seems that since the show came back in January it has turned into the hum drum…It’s quite possible they have exhausted all resources in writing for this show…I mean the bachelorette party, the wedding, and then a silly valentine’s day special…It’s sweet and all, but I like the jaw dropping moments. I need those…I miss them.
I think that’s why they have started to incorporate the holidays season, mainly because they were never addressed in previous seasons, and they running out of plot lines for the characters…
Now I am a die hard fan and will watch until the last episode airs, but I am admitting its hard to not change the channel without the drama in the show. That’s what makes Tree Hill…Tree Hill…

I agree with everything, Amanda. I enjoyed tonight. Haley was funny through the whole episode. Nathan was so romantic in the end. Julian and Brooke were cute and I loved the adoption talk. Chase finally has something constructive to do. This Ian Kellerman could be interesting, I think Nathan wants to help him because he reminds him of how he used to be. Athletic, bad attitude and lousy father. Also how cute was Chuck tonight with that singing!
Was there even a point to the episode tonight?
Brooke as a sex fiend tonight… Yawn! Her first scene was getting naked in a shower 8 seasons ago. We all know Brooke likes sex. Forcing it on us for years and years is cliche. All I can think of is an old stale moldy green Arby’s Roast Beef sandwich right now. Gross. Yuck. Ewwwwwwwww! Gagging so hard right now.
Haley getting butthurt thinking Nathan was cheating on her… Yawn! Reminds me of Haley getting butthurt that Nathan was viewing porn on the internet and still had pictures of Peyton. Is she always going to feel she doesn’t deserve Nathan? Is she always going to be so insecure in her own sexuality? Will she always think the old Nathan is going to come out and cheat n her?
I don’t even remember the rest of the show except the kiss at the end where you can obviously tell James is holding back because Joy has a mouth full of HoHo. I laughed so hard at that. I imagine he was sick of chocolate for a week afterward. He looked like he was giving CPR to one of those nasty YMCA mannequins everyone swabs with lots of alcohol before they take their turn on it.
Please let’s get back to actual story lines and the old Tree Hill already.
Brooke/Julian and and Clay/Quinn have no substance as couples. They are only about sex, sex, and more SEX. It’s past tiring now. It’s not even sexy or romantic anymore because it’s all you see them do. Both couples are the equivalent of sort core porn.
The episode was bland. No one cares about Chuck singing at Tric.
The most entertaining thing was Haley going bonkers looking for a gift and eating everything in sight.
It was a Valentine’s episode, isn’t sex and romance a big part. By the way, Brooke and Julian are newlyweds, let them have fun. Some people can be clueless.
Well it must be Valentine’s day everyday for those couples because it’s all the same.
The whole role playing thing was cringeworthy.
I feel like naley is losing their spark.. and this is coming from a diehard naley fan..
@alex totally agree. Clearly some people have never been around newly weds. @l some people LIKE roleplay. Just cuz it’s not YOUR thing does not mean other couples don’t do it.
and YAY for brulian adopting a BABY. I have read spoilers so I know how that storyline goes but I am still excited to see these next few episodes.
Yay for Naley!!! I didn’t expect them to show so much of them, but was really happy they did. The bathroom scene in the beginning was adorable. It was like they were showing the routine of a married couple (cause that’s what they are, being married for going on eight years), but it was intimate and sexy. At least in my opinion. I was actually kind of glad to see Haley so enthusiastic about getting a gift from Nathan and searching the house. I think I would have had to hurl something at the t.v if they would have not cared and played the old married couple. As far as Haley’s reaction to Nathan and the gifts, I think that was supposed to be a hormonal reaction, not a “Oh my God Nathan is cheating on me!” as someone said earlier. Still need more Naley, but this episode was definitely a good start. Hopefully they keep it up for the rest of the season.
I will agree with what someone else said; Clay and Quinn’s relationship has no substance at the moment. I’m going to let Brooke and Julian go because they are newlyweds. It’s what they’re supposed to do. I’m a little disappointed with Clay and Quinn because I thought that they had great potential in season 7.
I thought it was a pretty good episode, and better than I expected. I can’t wait for the rest of the season.
i love the episode..it was nice to see everyone spend some time with their boyfriend/husband. and chase and chuck scenes were good..just wish alex had been in it..still rooting for those two
ed fury – you crack me the hell up. I swear James has always held out on Joy in the kissing scenes, They obviously can’t stand each other in real life so their characters are so tight and horrid around each other LOL!
JAMES IS SO SEXY! PLEASE GET AWAY FROM THIS SHOW JAMES. I AM BEGGING YOU. This show has ruined Nathan’s character so much.
Brooke and Julian, they are the opposite of Nathan/Haley because Sophia and Austin actually like making out in real life and getting naked with each other. SO GROSS!
I agree with @alex and @erin… loved this episode!! it was super adorable… brooke and julian were so freaking funny and cute! @Krissy its not gross… sorry but i dont think that sex is gross… whatever though… naley stuff was cute too… haley and her hohos lmao!!!
Agree with a lot of this! Brulian are forced on us every week, and every week they got more cringey. I know they are a couple in real life but they just seem to have no chemistry it always seems kinda forced in a way. It was cute in the beginning when Julian first came to town but since then he has turned into a but if a sad guy (mommas boy, constant movie quotes…) and its all just really pathetic.
Naley – Even naley let me down tonight
they weere my favourite couple but they are losing chemistry too! We just get boring married stuff that any 2 random actors could do. Work it out James & Joy
Chuck/Chase – Cute but pointless. Can tell this will be a boring storyline
Quinn/Clay – Who cares? I actually leave the room whenever quinn comes on. Clay was good with nathan though!
Overall-Ok episode but oth is getting worse by the week….
@Jeana – I never said sex was gross. I said Julian and Brooke are gross and they are. You need to get your facts straight before you ever call me out on shit that I never said!
brulian were absolutely adorable. naley has never been my favorite couple but i’ve always enjoyed them, in this ep they were so ridiculous. and nathan always has the same expression in his face, he always looks bored
I’m just saying, if this is going to be the last season, why are they wasting it on holiday episodes and charaters that really have nothing to do with what made One Tree Hill, One Tree Hill in the first place!
I get that this was a V- day show…
But first let me say I’m so sick of Clay and Quinn all they do is have sex, I get that and that’s fine, but Clay always manages to say something so dumb… I mean come on writes please, like we want to hear about him touching her butt… or who can forget the that’s not my phone vibrating …. I’ve really had enough of them.
And the whole role playing with Brulian…. Really did you have to make the whole show about that, I get that they are just married, but hello…. Do you not remember Naley, or even Leyton, you didn’t do that with them, and I like those two couples way more then Brulian.
Also I’m so sick of Chuck….. Come on showtunes, really you wasted our time on that! VERY disapointing!!!!! I felt very sorry for chase, having to be stuck shooting with him, and really do we care about chucks mom? I don’t think so.
I do have to say I loved everything naley, they are so cute together, I really wish they would focas more time on them, And let them kiss more.. like I’ve said before I’m a leyton fan all the way, and if your not going to give me that at least give me second best naley all take that any day..

I enjoyed tonight’s eppy because I’m into romance, but I do feel that the episodes are lacking substance. We do need more Naley. I miss Naley in the first few seasons. I always felt something for them when I watched their scenes. I don’t anymore

I wonder if Mark will bring back all the old characters for the series finale. I want the last eppy of the series to feel as if I were to watch S1-S4 all over again.

It was boring, I actually feel like I have been robbed of 41mins of my life!!! We really need some drama. I think it definitely needs ending at the end of this season.
Naley were adorable, Haley/Joy was so cute and looks great. I think that about covers everything from last nights episode. Oh and Clay loves Quinns ass.
First comes Clinn, then comes Brulian, then comes Naley in a baby carriage…. Love the beginning, how the writers portrayed all the different stages of relationships. It was a cute episode, filler, nothing big really happened. So here goes starting with non-couples first:
Nathan/Clay/Ian: I have a feeling I am really going to like this story. I love that Nathan wants to reach out and help this kid who reminds him so much of himself. This Ian kid will for sure bring drama to the table, hopefully more than his cranky pants dad does. To me this storyline for Nathan shows how much he has grown as a person and I love that his and Clay’s friendship will continue to grow onscreen for us. Cause let’s face it, these two are no Nathan and Lucas, but the dynamic between them is still good.
Haley/Quinn: I love when these two have screen time together. The actresses really feed well of one another. And once again talking about how they are each at different stages of their relationship. I am glad that these two have each other.
Jamie/Haley and Jamie/Quinn: Both are wonderful. Quinn and Jamie shopping together was too cute. Haley stealing Jamie’s food kind of funny!
Chase/ Chuck: I am soooooo loving this storyline. I am glad that they are giving Stephen more to work with than two chicks fighting over him. This story shows his heart. I love how he is teaching Chuck to be a better person. And for the first time EVER I liked Chuck! His show tune was great. But he WILL get picked at school for that, that I am certain of! But it is better to get picked on for being yourself than to pretend to be who you are not just to fit in! Chase reaching out to Chuck’s mom was great too! I was kind of thrown for a loop when we saw her in there. I had no clue. So nice surprise there!
Now on to the couples:
Mouth/Millie: I can never say it enough I LOVE these two together, probably more than any of the other couples right now. They are facing their struggles together and supporting each other. Both unemployed but not letting that take away from the awesomeness of their relationship! Makes me want “half a muffin”. However I do wonder what that call was about. Hopefully nothing that will shake the foundation of their relationship!!
Jamie/Madison: My second favorite couple of the eppy. The innocence of them is magnificent. The shoelace bit at the end was toooo cute for words. That Jamie Scott is going to be a heartbreaker like his dad with the sensitivity of his Uncle Luke. These girls don’t stand a chance around him.
Now for the main 3
Clay/Quinn: Sweet what he did for her. But I saw it coming. But really how many more times do we have to see the same thing with these two. Show us a little depth. Make me like these characters. Give them issues and imperfections. Imperfections make them real and honest. Not just two people in a couple that ONLY ever have sex. I am not feeling these two AT ALL!!!!!!!
Julian/Brooke: Same with these two. Yes I understand that they are newlyweds, but come on. The only parts I liked about these two was the pizza guy (but I totally called it before it happened) and the adoption speech at the end. I do want Brooke to have her baby. It will give these two something to do as well… Cause right now they are about as one dimensional as Clay and Quinn.
Nathan/Haley: They were the most real to me and the most enjoyable of the 3 main couples. The bit at the beginning is how it really is when you’ve been married for years. Haley snooping through the house was freaking funny! Then she got all hormonal cause the gift was gone and it wasn’t given to her. Of course she is going to say something to him. Any wife would. And he totally surprised her like he always does! The last 4 minutes of the show I was hoping they would close on Naley. I was so happy that they did. These two deserve it. To still be in love after all they have been through!! Always and Forever!!!
So over all a decent episode, and I give it a 6.5 outta 10. Could have been better! But it was ok for the mush gushy valentine stuff! Excited for next week!! Preview looked good!

Agree with Amanda except for the Brulian part.
They already had their drama part trough seasons.
Now it’s right to see them happy after the wedding.
Even because now the drama will start with the adoption story.
We had two fillers after the wedding, now it’s time to enjoy the last episodes of the series.
I just re-watched the end to see what people were talking about between and James and Joy and I did not see him hold back on her at all! Ive also never heard the rumor that James and Joy cant stand each other. I somethimes wonder where people get some of this information…
Anyways, the episode was cute but Im ready for some good drama! I think we’ve had enough filler episodes for one season.

Not again with the cutesy crap (totally agree with the post about being robbed of 41 minutes of life…again). Seriously, the CW should have kept OTH at 12 or 13 epis instead of giving them a full season.
It’s not classic OTH. Where’s the drama? Where are the compelling storylines? It’s like Schwahn and company are just coasting now.
Everything seems so contrived.
Struggling college student/agent Nathan is going to sign his bullying professor’s son? Really?
Chuck writes show tunes and is going to make a record? Really?
Uber talented Brooke Davis is never going to work again, and instead spend her days being a superhero and a role-playing sex fiend? Really?
Please, please, please let this show end with some dignity.
I love Naley scenes and I love it when Chuck was singing.

James is doing just fine on OTH. i don’t see one thing wrong with chemistry. she’s pregnant in real life, for God’s sake. she probably only feels hormonal for her husband.

Love! I don’t care if it is cliche or worn out, this episode was plain cute. Obviously they aren’t in full oth awesome mode right now but we need to give them a chance and not bag on them each week. Instead of looking how bad every episode is we should focus on the good things about each, because there are a lot! Love once again! <3 The end with NALEY was amazing definatly naley status, they just need a spark.
