9.01: Know This, We’ve Noticed Reaction

Ok I think for the reaction each week I am going to throw this up and let you guys run with it! You give your reactions and I will jump in here and there and may also include some of what I thought. Lots of times I really need to re watch the episodes 
For the premiere here are a few things i thought:
- Oh how I have missed OTH and it was SO GOOD to see it and all my favorite people back on the tv.
- LOVED Chris Kellar
- I was a bit confused with what was going on with Clay? Maybe we will learn more as it goes on.
- With 13 episodes I am so curious as to how it all plays out…

-Loved the suspense in the beginning and the scary things going on around Haley. I hope that storyline plays out well (and Nathan isn’t the one who dies).
-I was never a big fan of Chris Keller, but he looks GREAT and was refreshing and great. He has good chemistry with Alex, but I hope she stays with Chase.
-I loved seeing Mommy Brooke. She looks so happy even being so tired.
-Dan Scott!!! I did shed few tears when Jamie hugged him and he held Lydia.

I loved Chris too.
Brooke and Julian talking about their sons was funny especially when Julian suggested they find a nice mansion and drop the boys on the doorstep.
Not enough Nathan/Jamie scenes.
I was hoping for Lucas to be in the premiere.
The beginning suspense killed me!
Nathan looked BEAUTIFUL!
I am going to die waiting an entire week for the next one.
I’m literally depressed this is the beginning of the end.
Loved Chris Keller! I was always a fan of how entertaining he is (and I love that he talks in third person)
I am looking forward to seeing how this all plays out!!
IT WAS SO GREAT TO HAVE OTH BACK!!!! Oh, man did I miss it. GREAT opening..even though I had already watched it a few times haha….excited to see what is next.
The music was AMAZING! OTH music is a major part of my journey with them and it was a relief to hear such great choices and remember the connection music and oth has with each other–that in itself is a role to talk about not just the characters.
Speaking of characters–CHRIS KELLAR! It was like a breath of fresh air to have him back..like for a minute we were back in season 2 and could reminisce. Loved it and I am excited to see the relationships he develops. I may even speak in third person for a day or two in his honor.
Suprisingly loved having Brooke’s dad back despite the fact that he has been nonexistent the past ..umm…EIGHT seasons.
He fits great as her father.
I loved it all. Except for having to shut my husband’s eyes during the Alex naked hoochie momma scenes. haha.
REally enjoyed this episode..isn’t great that we don’t have to wait 8 months to see another episode?!
- I loved all the Haley stuff. I think there’s potential there for a great story line. Loved her interaction with Chris Keller and LOVED her scene with Dan.
- Hoping we see a lot of Victoria this season. One of the few secondary characters I can’t get enough of. Her scenes with her ex and the twins were great.
- Npt sure yet what direction they’ll take Brooke in but I liked her scenes driving the boys around. As a Mom, I’ve been there, done that. Curious about her father. I always assumed they were on bad terms so her being so happy to see him seemed a little out of the blue. I’m sure we’ll get more on them this season.
- Why is Julian so tired? Brooke’s the one driving around all hours and working nights at the cafe. Does Julian have a job aside from buying a sound stage and plotting how to rid himself of his twins? Seriously, I chuckled the first two times he suggested getting rid of them, but the next couple times I wondered about the number of ways he had devised to get rid of them.
-What’s up with Clay? Unsure if I’m going to like this story but open to see where is goes. Off subject – whatever happened to Quinn’s gallery?
- Chase and Alex were filler for me. I’m glad the didn’t take up much time on screen.
- Limited Nathan was better than no Nathan at all.
- MVPs this episode were Dan and Chris Keller! Missed them, glad they’re back.
annie i couldn’t say it better..loved having chris keller back he’s so funny, glad dan is back. we need more naley (love the shaved hair by the way). I do find it weird that brooke is excited to see his dad considering all the negative stuff she’s said. I also, was thinking too why is julian super tired,ooo he rented a studio and stayed up a couple of nites geez. So whats the point of chase and whats her face? blah. millie, mouth??? i think clay is all of a sudden(after a year???) having pds of the shooting and is sleep walking or something. Did jacksons voice change? I am interested to see how these 13 episodes are going to go.
I was so confused at the beginning, I was like WTF while watching it! But I’m so glad that Tyler Hilton being back on OTH I love him plus he looks amazing!!!! Also glad Haley let Dan stay, I like the man he has become even though he killed Keith but he has definitely redeemed himself I feel! So excited to see what this season will bring and how it’ll end, with that being said I’m also so sad that it’s ending even if it’s a completely different OTH from the original it’s still sad to see it end. :/ PS Tyler Hilton’s song is so good! I loved it! And where the heck was Jamie all episode only go to see him for like what a whole 5 seconds!
First of all, it was AWESOME having OTH back!!! I loved every part of the premiere. Great Naley talking sweet on the phone was cute. Brulian as first time parents was funny. LOVE HAVING DAN & CHRIS back!!!!!! Chris has nice chemistry with Alex, too bad she’s only in one more episode. I think Clay will have some kind of psychiatric problem. Victoria & Ted are hilarious together! Kind of like Dan and Deb, just not as good! My favorite scene was Dan talking to Haley in the church and when Jamie hugged Dan. Very touching.
Jana / Alex has an pretty good back side. I found her crotch shot butt shaking scene to be the highlight of episode 9.01 for me. Shantel / Quinn is still my fav. girl the way she stayed up all night to make sure Rob / Clay would not sleepwalk. I did a dawwwwwwwwwww she is so cute.
Okay… yawn. So boring. The whole episode seemed to be filler. There was no drama. Some of the scenes were hard to sit through. I was not excited to see what came next. I was like really we get all this hype and I know it is going to be a huge letdown and yeppers it’s another huge letdown. Who cares about all these babies? Yes I know they are “needed” to make the young adults seem mature because in their mid twenties everyone has kids.. (HUGE SARCASM) let’s see real life… Austin no kids, Sophia no kids, Shantel no kids, Jana no kids, James no kids, Stephen no kids, Rob no kids, Joy just had her first kid, uh.. who else am I missing that doesn’t have a kid in their mid twenties and is on the show?
So I hate being so down on the show. I don’t even know what I can point out as being good. I like Paul / Dan. I have said a million times I hated that his character had to kill his brother on the show. I just can’t see any type of redemption to be justified. I mean even as the rumors and spoilers point to him giving his life so that Nathan can live.. even with all that Dan Scott was still an evil person who murdered his own brother because his heart was black as coal. When he was all sad and weepy with Haley for a place to live I felt sorry for Dan but come on.. dude can sleep under a highway overpass in a cardboard box or he can violate his parole and go back to jail for 3 hots and a cot. Dan killed Keith. I can’t ever forgive him and it is just a character on a TV show. Absolutely nothing Dan Scott can do will ever bring back Keith.

Lowlights of 9,01 Babies, no drama, slow episode, too much filler.
I don’t know, I think it was a great setup for the events of the season. I’m assuming Brooke’s act of destruction has to do with Chelsea Kane coming on.
Loved having Chris Keller back, and Dan as well (at least a little).
No Mouth and Millie? I thought they’d be in the premiere, with Mouth getting fat and all… Oh well, maybe next week.
Overall, GREAT episode! So glad to have OTH back!!!
7 months 3 weeks and 4 days ago, we watched Jamie walk over THE bridge donning a Keith Scott Body Shop sweatshirt claiming to live in a town full of magicians and tonight, thankfully it’s about time, they pulled off one hell of a reappearing act…
Nathan voiceovers always get me. They are few and far between but they always resonate with such strength and power and the diner in a blaze of glory is so reminiscent of the dealership fire (got to love when the writers play off past storylines – thanks Mark), and the little nuggets of what’s to come just makes it that much more enjoyable; trying to put the pieces together week by week will be so much fun. Who is dead? Why is Julian getting smashed around, why is Brooke having a temper tantrum, and what is REALLY going on between Dan and Chris or Clay and Quinn and Chase in a cop car what is that about? Well let’s get to it…
The Sleepless Baker’s and their Baby Boys: Hysterical. Love grumpy, no sleep Julian – and here I thought after high fives and catching butterflies I wouldn’t be able to find him as appealing as I once did (season 6 Julian was totally hot), but I like struggling sarcastic Julian. Let’s just hope Sylvia doesn’t coming back anytime soon and make him revert to adolescence. Excited to see what he does with the sound stage. Brooke. Brooke. BROOKE! As with Nathan I love her voiceovers to, basically I have a girl crush on her voice. Her driving around Tree Hill and remembering what she was like and how she never really knew her town was another great tie in to Tree Hill past. We all knew Mom Brooke would be fabulous, and I can’t wait to see her dive into it a bit more. Poppa Davis seems to come with an agenda, who else wonders what that agenda is? Agenda or not though, he sure does give Bitchtoria a run for her money, their snarkiness should be great to watch. Finally, Karen’s Café… love the interaction between Haley and her. “Run Red. Run Red.” Was so funny, but I HOPE we don’t have to hear the patrons say hello and good-bye EVERY time they enter or exit. It could get tiresome QUICK. Designer Brooke making a comeback, fingers crossed.
The Scott’s and their pasts that won’t stay buried: 2 ghosts of Tree Hill past makes a BIG, HUGE return to Tree Hill and dive straight into this perfect bubble that Nathan and Haley have. But first, long distance never looked so cute. I swear even hundreds of miles away from each other I still feel the magic between Naley. I am sorry Naley fans, but I am ok with them not being on screen together if they are always going to be this cute. But speaking of ghost, how freaking AMAZING was Chris Keller? I mean come on!! Harry Johnson… and “Haley… Chris Keller missed you.” and the stuff with Alex. This guy has my heart, but I am fond of people who speak in third person. Still trying to figure out what he is doing with Dan… “Grandpa Dan”?? His whole speech in the church knocked me on my bum then him and Jamie reuniting. To know where he come from in the big house, mayor, entrepreneur to living in a small room in the back of a diner. This guy has literally lost EVERYTHING. It is nice to see him extend his hand and finally have someone there to grab it. I know it takes a lot for Haley to open her door to him, but I am glad she did. Then Nate coming in at the end of the episode, he didn’t look too happy. Please can he say Nate, please?
Everyone else:
Clinn and the Sleepless Sleepwalker: Ok, don’t really know what to say about this other than what the heck? Is he faking or really sleepwalking? I have nooooo idea but Quinn was a kick ass girlfriend staying awake like that. I did like the comment about leather pants and no shirt. Okay Sergio? Side note, Quinn hanging her head out the window like a dog was PRICELESS!!! Hope this story goes somewhere, like soon!!
Alex and her Very Naked Boy Toy: These two are cute. Not much to comment on, except Chris Keller totally made her song better. Alex and Chris have crazy chemistry together and so do Chase and Chris… Who am I kidding Chris has great chemistry with EVERYONE!!! Chase in tighty whitey’s was kind of hot to. Really hot!
The music was also great AS ALWAYS!!! Not good with band names or song titles, but check ‘em out guys! If anyone has a list of song titles let me know! It was a good show. Really good. It felt how Tree Hill used to feel and I like that. It felt like home. Looking forward to next week? Totally! 1 down 12 to go!
I loved the show last night but was a little confused about the randomness of it. Haley walking into the cafe with no one there and saying”Hello”, just didn’t understand. Also the shadow at Haley’s door? No real explanation . What’s youre all opinions on that?
I am sooo mad I recorded the episode and the stupid basketball game cut into it!!! I’m so glad there is a detailed synopsis on this blog so I can “see” what I missed!
Loved the episode! I missed the last few episodes last season and was really confused during the opening scene. Are those scenes from last season or are they suppose to be scenes that we should expect/ play out over the season? Cant wait till next week! It’s going to be a great season and ending to a legendary show!

I really enjoyed the montage at the beginning, I believe it’s what’s to come of the season… and I look forward to every storyline developing!
I think the intro to Quinn/Clay’s problems was good, I’ve heard spoilers about what his issue may be, but I’m positive he’s not really a sleepwalker because of the last scene of him, he was awake!
As to the comments on the mysterious cafe/Naley house guest, I think it is going to be part of a MUCH bigger storyline this season. They wanted us to see those scenes for a reason! I think it might have even been Clay…
The rest of the episode was good – I love Brooke’s Dad, and Victoria cracked me up with the babies. I can feel the no sleep because of baby pain, I’m a new Mom myself.
I look forward to what the rest of this final season will bring!
All i can say is: WELCOME BACK CHRIS AND DAN! I lovvved seeing them again especially Chris and his douc*bagery but adorable ways LOL! i liked that he was constantly hitting on Haley

I really liked it. I like Brooke and Julian again now that they are not all over each other every single episode (I was getting really sick of that in season 8). I love that Chris and Dan are back yay! Dan and Jamie hugging really pulled at my heart strings, even though he did a horrible thing, I feel for him as he has no-one. Personally could have done with less of Alex and chase. I loved seeing Brooke with her dad. You can clearly tell she was a daddy’s girl despite her issues with him! I’m so glad we got to see Nathan and naley’s phone calls are so cute! How cute are Lydia, Jude and Davis???
Also, I thought the mysterious person at the door could have been Dan but it also could have been clay sleepwalking. who knows?!
It was such a good feeling to see One Tree Hill back on my screen again! I was so excited to see the first episode of season 9 and at the same time there was such a sadness that this is the beginning of the end of this show that I love so much.
I loved the episode! There may not have been a whole lot going on but just to see Brooke being a mom and Haley and Brooke working together and just watching their friendship is totally what I wanted to see in this final season. I hope the rest of the season focuses on the core characters the way it did tonight. I loved seeing Chris Keller back in Tree Hill! The moments between Haley and Dan and Dan in the kids were amazing! I cant wait to see what the rest of the season holds!

It was an okay episode. The only real intriguing story line is what is going on with the Scotts. Adored Dan and Haley, Paul and Joy just have such great chemistry together and I didn’t think I would ever say this, but I love the banter between Haley and Chris, even though I couldn’t stand him in season 2. Seems like Alex has replaced Quinn in the prance around in underwear department.
I actually can’t wait to see what happens next week between Nathan and Dan and Haley. I also have a bad feeling that something bad is going to happen to Clay down the road. I think he might be the one who ends up dead. Just my hunch.
I liked this episode, it was good seeing Tyler Hilton and Paul Johasson again.

I love Victoria and Brooke’s father scenes, how they were talking about each other and Victoria with Lydia.

Where is Mouth, Skills, Junk and Fergie and Millie? It would have been better if they were in the first episode.
Overall, not bad but the Haley and Brulian scenes were good to watch.

This could’ve made s8 this intresting but oh well I love this start they brought back loved characters and the tree hill drama and humor as well.Can’t wait for the next one and the music they have the greatest one on TV.I just wish they cut the alex and chase SL and quinn and clay too,I don’t see the point really.I’m going to miss OTH made a difference in my life.

my theory…quinn is under the sheet. she gets caught in the crossfire between clay and his drug dealer. history repeats itself for clay (losing another love of his life) and haley is devastated at the loss of her sister.
I have a feeling Clay will get shot and then become a ghost and visit Quinn and also meet up with his dead wife and they will end up being together and Quinn will end up going back to taking pictures around the world of poor kids.
@weenie, totally agree about Paul/Joy having great chemisrty. I’ve always saw that in them even the earlier seasons. The Dan/Nathan/Haley storyline is the most exciting one. As for whoever is under the sheet. I bet Haley is crying out of relief of it not being Nathan.
I forgot, what the hell happened to the theme song? it’s the 9th and final season of OTH. And there is no theme song, this is so stupid!
