9.05 The Killing Moon Reaction
Posted by Amanda with 22 Comments
Woah! And I don’t say this because I had my first small part as an extra make it on this episode. That was fun though
Ok…
- I loved Haley this episode.
- Chris didn’t play as big a part as I thought he was going to but the parts he did play I loved. With each episode I am so glad they brought him back!
- Curious to see what happens with Clay and Logan
- Poor Julian
- I liked Brooke finally going over and dealing with Tara and the cafe. I was shocked that the cafe was open
When 9.01 premiered I thought this was going to happen while closed. - Wow! The whole thing with Dan. I am kind of speechless with how this ended…
These are just a few of my thoughts off the top of my head. I am excited to see what you guys have to say!!! Overall I really liked this episode, Ooh and it looks like we will get to see Nathan again next episode!

I’m repeating myself, but definitley best episode of the season so far i was worried. First paul/joy were amazing love them together…the final season amazing. WHO HAS NATE???? naley have been through enough and now he’s being kidnapped why? glad to see strong brooke back, feel bad for julian. Chris funny, nice to see millie/brooke in a scene with their banter. Also, the scene when chase/chuck playing basketball look behind them its lucas’s house. Curious to see how this all plays out.
I agree with you! ^ it’s all been very suspenseful! I’m intrigued!
Great episode! Loved everything. Season nine is really like old school OTH!
I AM PRETTY SURE THAT DAN IS GOING TO BE THE ONE THAT DIES AND I AM ASSUMING THAT HE DIES SAVING NATHAN.
correction i meant to say final SCENE was amazing
last five minutes was amazing!!… they all have been so intense and suspenseful at the ends this season
LOVED IT
where was your cameo!? SO jealous!
Ok this season is amazing so far! Episode 3 i wasnt to happy with it and the lack of substance, but the past two weeks have been incredible! Loving the Haley/Dan scenes, cant wait to get into the kidnapping a lot more! and yeah s* i think thats been the general consensus for the past few months that Dan will die saving Nathan. Everyones known that for the past few months haha. Its the only logical plot, and in my opinion its really te only way Dan can get his retribution. Thats what Dan Scott is about, and he has to die saving Nathan or any of his family members to be finally forgiven. Cant wait!!!
Haley/Dan – How great was BJG this episode? I loved the last scene with her Dan and the scene with her at the airport. I really like this storyline. and am anxious to see where it goes. I don’t think Dan has anything to do with Nate being taken. Looks like next week we’ll get to see what’s going on with him.
Chase/Chuck – filler
Chris Keller – wish he was in more….love all his scenes
Clay/Quinn – I really like SVS this season. I think her acting has improved too. Interested to see what’s happening with Clay. This is the first Clay/Quinn story I really like. The little boy who plays Logan is ADORABLE. Maybe Quinn and Clay will adopt him.
Brooke/Julian – Nice to see you again feisty Brooke! I loved all Brooke’s scenes. I thought her confrontation with Tara was funny…and Millie backing her up was great. That’s how I like my supporting characters….supporting. When Brooke trashed the other cafe…I was thrilled. Old school Brooke. Last few seasons I’ve been getting bored with her character but tonight I loved her! Julian’s is the only storyline I don’t love. It’s a little too “woe is me”.
Loving season 9 overall!
Logan is the son of Clay and Sara…Book it.
its a long shot but
1 – chucks dad has something to do with nathan going missing
Chase/Chris/Tara storyline is meh
seeing chase and brooke interact was a great little skit
agreed&^
Whoa @brad how did you get there? I can see that happening! They had a son and Clay was so grief stricken that he couldn’t take care of him and he repressed his mere existence. Although that sounds like a bit of a stretch…
@brad — that’s what i’m saying too! i think his son died somehow and he’s blocked it out… or he was taken away after sara died. it doesn’t seem like a place where a little boy would be — also, no one else is ever in their scenes together!
wow. what a great episode! It kept me nervous! lol.
Julian is doing such a great job at playing out this storyline. I love the storyline. It shows him in a different way than we normally see him.
I loved the brooke scenes as well. Loved when she destroyed the tree hill cafe. did you know that she accidentally destroyed some of Porty City Javas stuff that she wasnt supposed to throw? lol. She was great.
Loved the logan and clay scenes. OMG he is so adorable! please show more of him!! that would be an interesting twist if logan and clay were somehow connected.
Loved Gangsta Millie
And of course–what a great job by BJG. She was awesome.
So overal….LOVE LOVE LOVE.
9.05: The Killing Moon, more like The Killing Hour!!! This is how I like my Tree Hill! Fun, Flirty, Dark and Dirty!
Great episode. Progression on every story!
While some stories are meatier than others, they all have purpose. So lets get to it (gonna go by character – so it might be a tad on the LOOOOONG side)
Julian: Oh my heart! I really feel bad for this guy. Between the hospital, the note and the drunken bar fights, I love this Julian sooooo much more than the butterfly catching not knowing how many innings are in a baseball game Julian. Austin is def showing us his acting chops!
Brooke: Ha! Love her confronting that Tara bitch and Millie was too funny “Look up Bitch and there is Brooke”! Loved it! I miss Millie and Brooke together. Soooo glad we got to see some of it! Brooke destroying the cafe was nothing new, but nice to see what got us there. Stupid Tara slut!
Tara: She could have kept her face to face “friend request” cockroaches in her own damn cafe. I really dont like this girl. At all! Then the low blow note to Julian just made me want to kick her ass!
Hopefully she goes away SOON!!!!
Chase: You dirty dog you! To be such an ass about the Tara thing then there for Chuck! I am soo confused on who you are. Are you a bad boy who does good things sometimes or a good guy who does shitty things sometimes? However, loved you calling Keller out on his douchbaginess!!
Chuck: I ACTUALLYYYYY liked you this ep. Thanks for showing up! Kid Keller has my permission to stay! However, your “father” not so much. That guy is bad news!
Chris: Loved you being there for Hailes! Your comedic timing is perfect. You are simply amazing as an ass! You can stay too!
Logan: You are too cute for words!
Jamie: I wish they would tell him already!! Like come on guys! Loved seeing him hang out with Quinn again! Reminded me of the Treasure hunt episode!
Quinn: This is the year I fall back in love with Quinn! Amazing job this season! And your hair color is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Clay: Crazy Party of 1!!! Glad I actually like this storyline. Welcome back Clay! I cant wait to figure out what he is hiding! Hopfully it is worth the effort and jorney we have taken to get there!
Dan: The best thing about Dan is, well EVERYTHING!!!!! This is the perfect storyline for him. His talk with Quinn was great! His admssion of the fire and wanting to be by his family is great! His altercation with Haley was phenom. I want to believe he is a good man! I really do….. But can we???
Haley: Standout preformance of the night! The police station with Chris, the airport where she breaks down, then confronting Dan, and calling the police! BJG is quite the actress! She really makes me feel it! I believe she is Haley James Scott and her husband is missing! Bethany who??? So the question is, where exactally is Nathan????
I give the ep a 9! Really good stuff this ep! This is shaping up to be one amazing season! Thanks for the treat CW and Mark and Cast and Crew! This is how to end a show!
I’m loving this season so far. The only thing that I wish would end is this whole storyline with Clay. It’s all really random to me. I figured he had dealt with all of his issues around Sara back when he was seeing her everywhere. It’s just a little left field for him to have been over everything with her, and then all of a suddenly he starts having sleep problems and it’s most likely something dealing with her. I wish Mark understood that no everyone in Tree Hill has to have an intense dramatic situation going on in their lives. Brooke and Haley are powerhouses this season and I actually enjoyed the conflict with Tara until she pulled the whole note on Julian’s window thing. I agree that Chuck’s father has something to do with Nathan’s disappearance. I can’t wait to see how they end the show.
Best episode of the season.. yes. But with the other 4 terrible episodes how hard is it to be the best? Not much.
When this is factored in to the hundreds of other great One Tree Hill episodes is 9.05 the one you are going to pull put of your DVD case and rewatch over and over? Is 9.05 the one you will always remember the lines to? Probably not.
I guess this season is better then anything in season 7 or 8 though. I’ll probably never get those on DVD unless I get a really good deal on amazon.
Amanda what scene were you in?
Looking forward to 9.07 and a return of Lucas/Chad and his hipster hair he had been hiding under that beanie for two years.
Haley OMG! what an amazing performance from Joy tonight! (like it’s something new lol!) her worrying over Nathan made me on my edge through out the episode. And Dan, i don’t really know anymore?! he gives out these creepy looks that makes u wonder if he has something to do with nathan’s disappearance. I bet that’s what they want us to believe.
I enjoyed Brooke/ milli. trashing tara’s cafe is a gutsy move but hey i don’t like that tara character one bit.
umm what is the purpose of Chase?! oh and trying to make Chris look like a jerk to chuck, not gonna happen i already know that he’s a jerk and I lLUV HIM! lol
I like Aunt quinn
wish i could see more of lydia though
i say that every episode.
This episode wasn’t as awful as the others have been… but to me, it still wasn’t great by any means. I feel like it was just a LOT of filler stuff, mixed in with only a couple decent scenes. The only parts that really stood out to me as being somewhat decent were Haley’s scenes.
I still think the whole “Nathan missing” storyline is dumb, and repetitive (considering all the other lame psycho/kidnapping stuff this show has come up with). But man, BJG is rocking it! She is such an amazing actress, and this storyline is really proving just how talented she really is. She really deserves some time in the spot light, after being basically a prop over the last couple of seasons lol. So I’m happy that she’s finally getting to shine a little bit. And she’s doing an amazing job!
I was actually pleasantly surprised, andimpressed with Chris Keller in this episode. Well, atleast during his serious parts, when he was helping Haley. It’s nice to see that side of him for a change. The “creepy perv 24/7″ stuff gets old.
And the rest was just… blahhhh:
-Haley going after Dan as a suspect in Nathan’s disappearance is so predictable. *yawn*
-Chuck needs to leave, like now. Nobody cares about your dad coming home, or the fact that Chase feels left out of your life now. Good grief.
-Clay’s mental illness storyline is already getting so old. Not to mention that it’s just random as hell. It’s moving sooo slow, and they really need to get to the point and move on already.
-Same with Julian’s “guilt” storyline. It was somewhat interesting, and even necessary for one episode… but there’s no need to drag it out any longer than that.
-The rival cafe drama is just silly, and yet another waste of a storyline for the FINAL season. But I will say that I love that we’re finally seeing old, feisty Brooke again! Her scenes are the only entertaining part of this storyline.
-And the Chris/Tara/Chase triangle? Ridiculous, plain and simple.
So yeah. Pretty much this season is just all over the place, in my opinion. And it’s the furthest thing from what I feel these final 13 episodes SHOULD be about… closure. :/
episode was great, storylines are great, characters are great… i literally have no complaints yet…. i think they set up all of the storylines very well and i cant wait to see the rest of the season!
Nathan has been captured by the drug lord guy Dan approached on the playground. But his higher ups. They are trying to make this out to be bigger than it is but its quite simple. Dan is going to eventually save Nathan and in the process someone on the good side will die (money is on Dan). Makes sense too. The only way to completely make up for what he did to Keith is to sacrifice himself in the highest way.
Clays storyline has nothing to do with Nathan in anyway. My take is Sara and Clay had child and after Sara he left it all to go to tree hill. He thought he couldn’t care for the kid without Sara so he leaves to the kid with relatives. Its what no one not even himself knows about. Maybe its Logan(i think it is) but eventually the kid will reappear and Quinn will adopt the child.
Bethany ROCKED this episode! Gah, I’m not ready for One Tree Hill to end, but now I’m just excited to see what else she is gonna light up. An actress that talented… no way she’s going to stay in the dark long after OTH is over. Storyline is GREAT. I could really do without that Tara bimbo. Brooke needs to punch her right in the face.
