Episode 4.21 All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone

Posted by Amy with No Comments

Overview:

Dan must face the harsh consequences of his decision to murder Keith as Karen and Haley’s pregnancies complicate the lives of Nathan and the graduating seniors of Tree Hill High. Lucas wrestles with his post-high school options, and Peyton and Brooke prepare to spend the summer in Los Angeles together.

Recap:

While "Lightning Crashes" is playing in the background, Nathan and Haley are rushing into the hospital because she is having their baby. At the same time, doctors try to get Karen back, since she has just flat lined. And finally DD – Diabolic Dan makes up his mind: he turns himself in. Yep, prison time is kind of approaching.
While doctors are trying to save Karen, she sees Keith, who is in a beautiful garden with a little girl. Their daughter, actually. Keith tells Karen she has to go back, without worrying about anything: he will wait for her and their little daughter. In the meantime, Haley gives birth to James Lucas Scott.
Two weeks later.
Karen visits Keith at the cemetery, holding her little daughter, whose name is Lily Rose Scott.
Meanwhile, the last high school party is approaching but Nathan and Haley don’t want to leave their little James. Deb assures them she will look after him and, even though they are not that thrilled to leave their son to a former drug addicted, they end up giving in.
Party time! It turns out the one who throws the party was none other than… Rachel. Yep, Reckless Red Hair is back in town and Brooke is very happy about it.
Lucas tells Peyton he doesn’t want her to go to Los Angeles (she is leaving tomorrow with Brooke, as planned) but he does know he has to let her go. Peyton assures him she is going to love him forever, no matter what. He does think the same thing.
Someone else is back in town… Shelly, who kind of ended the whole Clean Team thing. It turns out Shelly is eager to get Mouth back in her life but Mouth doesn’t seem that ready, even though he tells her he did miss her very much since they were apart.
Brooke is sad because high school has really finished; Lucas assures her that he does think she’ll do great things in her life.
Since Nathan and Haley keeps on calling Deb up to check in on James, CG – Crazy Grandmother unplugs the phone. Of course Haley and Nathan rush home and, after talking to Deb, they figure they were a bit too anxious.
All the girls – Peyton, Brooke, Rachel, Shelly, Haley and Bevin – dance to a Spice Girl’s song. Elsewhere, Skills is singing the same song, under Lucas’ stunned eyes. Later, Brooke and Goldilocks are happy to say their friendship did make it. Meanwhile, Lucas and Nathan are wondering whether they should pay a visit to Dan. Nathan tells Lucas he is sorry he didn’t believe him when he told him Dan had killed Keith. Good-boy Lucas assures him it’s fine. Actually, he wishes he was wrong.
What a night for Mouth! He punches Shelly’s ex boyfriend who was insulting her and he does manage to kiss Brooke – after waiting like forever and a day. "I have always wanted to do this!", he claims. Brooke is a bit stunned and can’t help but say to Chase: "Do you see what happens when you leave me alone?". Then, Brooke tells Chase she really appreciate the fact he lets her say goodbye to all her friends, but he was the one she wanted to finish the night with. He has definitely the same opinion.
Lucas and Nathan decide not to go and see their father Dan. Ever… Someone else decides to pay him a visit, though. Karen. She tells him that Lily will certainly know that her father loved his younger brother very much. And that brother took him from her (Lily) for her entire life. Then Karen spits on the window between her and Dan and goes away. Dan tries to hang up himself but he is not that successful.
After having sex, Chase and Brooke have a serious talk. She tells him he has become a really important part of her life, so she is going to miss him very much. Chase assures her he will be waiting for her, until she comes back to him.
Haley can’t believe she won’t see Lucas anymore since it’s the end of high school, but Lucas has interesting news: Whitey offered to help him with the new team and Lucas agreed to join him. Haley is really happy because she did not want to lose her best friend.
Fresh news for Reckless Red Hair either: Brooke is happy to tell her she did graduate after all. Rachel tells Brooke that she has been in a lot of school, but she is very happy she ended up graduating from Tree High. Brooke smiles and can’t help but agree.
It’s midnight and the gang sees the new seniors celebrate the beginning of their senior year. "Uh, high school kids. Let’s get out of here, you guys", Miss Davis says. And Skills does know where they should hang out: the river court!
It’s time for a "Hos over Bros" match and Haley does manage to do a free throw. Yay. There is a promise in the air. "In four years, we will be right back here, done with college or wherever we go, right?".Then, Nathan asks Lucas if he is ready for a re-match, since in the last one-on-one Nathan kind of lost.
And the others sit on the benches near the court, all together. There is music playing in the background, so we can’t hear what they’re saying, we can just watch their expressions, smiles and yells. Meanwhile, Nathan asks Lucas if he is sure to be up for the one-on-one, "old man". Lucas has no doubts. "I could do this forever, little brother". They smile, the music is still playing and the match can get started.

Nathan has to adjust his life without basketball and turns to Skill for help. And, it turns out Skills’ father will get a job in his factory. The job is tough and Haley can’t help but feel sad about it, because she wants him to reach his real dreams.
Brooke tells Principal Turner she is the one who stole the calculus exam. Nevertheless, Brooke would like to say something too. She has changed since she was a freshman; and somewhere along the way the lost party-girl became the girl on the wall of honour. She is not positive that the girl she was once, would have owned up to him the truth. Isn’t this what High School is about? Getting better, and take your own responsibilities? Turner claims it’s also about not cheating in calculus exams, but in the end, he tells her…. it’s time she get ready to graduate. Brooke can’t believe it and she is very happy! And suddenly Chase shows up, claiming that if Principal Turner suspends Brooke, he is making a huge mistake. Brooke tells him it’s all fine and they walk away. Then, they share a very sweet moment, in which they say they love each other.
Karen gets worse and doctor tells Lucas they have to deliver the baby but everything is fine… And it turns out to be a little girl. Everyone is delightful. Then Haley hands Lucas a present from Karen: her comments about the book he wrote. Lucas tells Haley he needs her to be his mom again. "She will be", says Haley.
Deb tells Nathan the truth about Keith’s death; Nathan catches up with Dan and tells him he need to hear this is all a lie; Dan says he can’t do that. Nathan is hurt and informs his father that he is dead to him.
Lucas is thinking of skipping graduation but Peyton brings him in the hallway of the hospital, where all his friends are waiting for him, so he changes his mind.
Breaking news. Whitey was offered to coach into a college near Tree Hill and he asks Nathan to play for him. They hug. Meanwhile Bevin’s parents meet Skills’ parents and they totally click.
It’s graduation time; Lucas, Nathan and the others graduate. Principal Turner names Rachel Gatina, who graduates in absentia. Close up of Brooke while she is applauding happily.
Haley gives her valedictorian speech and while she is speaking, we see Dan holding Karen’s little girl in his arms and Karen lying in her bed. Suddenly something goes wrong. Karen has an heart attack.
Haley can’t end her speech since she is kind of… having her baby!

Episode 4.17 It Gets the Worst At Night

Posted by Amy with No Comments

Overview:

When Mouth and Rachel’s road trip goes wrong, the other teens go out to their rescue. While on the trip, Nathan and Haley get a second chance to enjoy their Prom and Peyton and Lucas decide to take their relationship to the next level. Finally, Brooke reveals the truth about the stolen calculus exam to Haley.

Recap:

Skills receives a text message from Mouth. He is in Honey Grove and he needs ass…istance! Yep, under Haley’s suggestion, it turns out Peyton, Lucas, Brooke, Haley, Nathan and Skills are heading out for a road trip. Haley is positive Mouth is fine. "I mean, it’s Mouth, how much trouble could he actually get into?!"
After Tutor Wife’s words, we see a close up of Mouth, who is actually in jail.
The road trip can get started. Our heroes read their old yearbook and Lucas points out Peyton’s signature on his sophomore yearbook. "You know how hard I worked to get my yearbook in front of her, and then she signs her damn name I was crushed!" Everyone giggles. Then, Haley brings up the hot words her sister Taylor wrote to Lucas, who, on the other hand, wonders what she wrote in Nathan’s yearbook. Other laughs, which are done as soon as Skills reads Jimmy’s words in Lucas’ yearbook. Anyway, Haley claims they have to let bad thoughts go.
Meanwhile, in prison, Mouth helps one of the guys in jail win a chess match, then he starts talking about Brooke, Rachel and Shelly. The jail guys are definitely interested, they actually stare at Mouth as if he was a soap opera starring.
Major problem. While Brooke is driving, the car broke up. Luckily a tour bus stops by. And it turns out it is… Chris Keller’s, who, as soon as he learns Haley is pregnant, can’t wait to claim to Nathan: "Dude, totally not mine!"
In Tree Hill, since Karen thinks someone might have broken into her house, she calls Dan up, who takes care of here.
Nathan and Chris have a "boy" talk in which Chris suggests Nathan takes it easy. The next morning, Chris’ tour bus finally arrives in Honey Grove and they bail Mouth out. He got arrested for sleeping in the park. Since the car won’t be ready until the next day and since there is Honey Grove Prom that night, they decide it’s time they had the best prom ever. "So we are going to crash Honey Grove Prom?", asks Lucas. "Why not?" is the only answer.
Chris asks Mouth what happened with Rachel. Mouth tells him things were great but he couldn’t help but think he wasn’t interesting enough. So Mouth went out for a walk and when he got back Rachel wasn’t there anymore. He found only a photo of Mouth and Rachel; behind the photo was written "I could’ve loved the boy in the picture", the same sentence Mouth told her when there was the whole Brooke’s flyers campaign against Rachel, a lot of time ago.
Haley offers Brooke to move in their old apartment, since she and Nathan are going to stay with Deb until the next autumn. Brooke is happy to accept and tells Peyton she can move in with her, if she wants. Brooke also says that even though she claimed they could never be friends like before maybe… they could be better. They hug.
Honey Grove Prom is great and our heroes enjoy themselves.
After telling each other they love, Peyton and Lucas have sex. Later, Brooke tells Haley the truth about the whole stolen exam thing, and then she, Mouth and Skills walk in on Peyton and Lucas who are still in bed. Brooke can’t help but feel hurt and walks away. Poor Davis. She meets Chris, who starts hitting on her, but they end up talking all night. Yep, Wise President has definitely changed a lot.
The next morning, Peyton catches up with Brooke, asking if she is okay. Brooke nods but claims that, if she is moving in with her, they have to come up with a system against this kind of surprise. Peyton can’t help but agree. Then, Haley catches up with Brooke and says her she forgives him.
The car is ready and the road trip back to Tree Hill can get started.
In the meantime, fresh news concerning Abby and… shoving points, as well… Stay tuned!

Episode 4.16 You Call it Madness, but I Call It Love

Posted by Amy with No Comments

Overview:

It’s Prom night, but things start to go awry as Lucas discovers who was the person in the hallway when Keith was killed, and psycho Derek holds Peyton hostage at her own house. Meanwhile, Haley and Nathan vow to be romantic with each other throughout the night, and Dan continues to win over Karen’s affections.

Recap:

t’s Prom night and nothing goes as expected. And in Tree Hill that’s not a shocker, I guess.
Fake Derek holds Peyton hostage at her own house and things would have been worse if Brooke hadn’t come over. Since Derek is clearly obsessed with Peyton, she pretends she is in love with him and tells him she wants to kill Brooke herself. As soon as she catches the knife, she manages to stab Derek but he is still not knocked out. Anyway, in the end Peyton and Brooke manages to save themselves, without even Lucas’ help – yep, there is always a first time. Brooke points out: "I guess now it’s hoes over psychos." It seems after the whole drama, they’re starting to mend their differences.
Rachel doesn’t feel ready to get on her plane, so she shows up at prom. Principal Turner reminds her she is not allowed to enter. As soon as she starts walking away, Mouth goes with her. Since he keeps talking about Shelly, Rachel tells him not to mention her anymore. Mouth figures Rachel is saying this because he’s boring her, but that’s not true, actually. "No, you’re making me jealous". Mouth looks stunned, and so are we.
Lucas is sad because Peyton didn’t even open the door when he went to pick her up, so talks to Glenda. Meanwhile, Dan and Karen are so dangerously close that Karen ends up telling him she might have feelings for him, again. Unfortunately, Dan’s life is not only full of romance but he is haunted by someone who knows Dan murdered his brother. Dan gets suspicious about Lucas, even though he’s not responsible.
Rachel and Mouth arrive at the airport, there they have their last dance. After that, Rachel asks him if he wants to go with her. At first he refuses, but then he changes his mind and decides to be the "dangerous" one, for once.
Haley and Nathan spend an unusual prom. Their car breaks up, their friends aren’t around, the punch is spiked and they also have to get home a drunk kid, who can’t help but talk about Nathan-Brooke’s famous tape. Anyway, their prom turns into a romantic night, as soon as Nathan reads Haley the prediction he wrote some months ago. "Haley and I will be together again by graduation".
Breaking news. Lucas finally remembers there was a girl hidden in the hallway when Keith was killed, Abby.

Episode 4.15 Prom Night at Hater High

Posted by Amy with 1 Comment

Overview:

It’s Prom day, and emotions are flying high at Tree Hill. An emotional Haley confronts Nathan about the sex tape and asks for a list of all his past sexual encounters. Meanwhile, an angry Peyton asks Lucas to skip the dance altogether, but he refuses to take no for an answer. Finally, Brooke and Peyton let out all their tension in a confrontation that can tear them apart forever.

Recap:

It’s Prom day and it’s also the day after the whole sex tape thing concerning Brooke and Nathan. The residents of Tree Hill aren’t that eager to face it, though.
Brooke cannot believe Peyton slapped her last night, but Rachel assures it could have been worse. Rachel points out: "You could have gotten your a$$ kicked by a pregnant girl half your size." Brooke reminds Reckless Red Hair the day is still young.
Meanwhile, Haley confronts Nathan about what happened and wants Nathan to write a list of every single he has ever been with. Nathan is stunned but Haley shouts he can definitely cross "Peyton, Brooke, and my sister off of that list".
If Haley is angry, so is Peyton, who asks Lucas to skip the prom, but he refuses, since he wants to go there with her. Someone else doesn’t want to go to prom: Mouth, since Shelly isn’t going with him anymore.
After Chase broke up with her, Brooke shows up at Peyton’s. "Are you happy now??", is Brooke’s question. They end up getting into an argument. Peyton can’t believe she has always thought she ruined their friendship, when Brooke "ruined it a long time ago". In the meantime, Dan asks Karen to prom and she accepts. After decades of hatred, it seems things are getting better between them.
Bad news. Principal Turner makes up his mind: since Rachel got expelled, she won’t graduate. As soon as he learns about it, Mouth stops by her home. She is leaving that evening, she won’t be at prom. Mouth is very sorry about it but she is positive he will barely notice it, since he will be dancing with his hot new girlfriend. Mouth tells her she has broken up with. Rachel says: "I have always hated her". Mouth complains he has to be alone at prom, but Rachel assures him she told like five guys she’d to go with. They giggle. Then, Mouth tells her he would have loved to dance with her for one last time. He kind of wants to erase the dance they had after the shooting. Rachel agrees, then turns away from Mouth and says she isn’t exactly leaving too many great memories behind, after all. Mouth tells her she left him with some. "That means a lot", says Rachel.
Meanwhile, our beloved Brooke is "egging" Peyton’s house. They got into a fight, but, after a while, Peyton points out she doesn’t even care about Brooke, anymore. Brooke left her alone because she was honest with her in the worst year of Peyton’s life when she needed her best friend, and then she learnt Brooke was never really honest with her either. (Well can I say that, Goldilocks doesn’t seem to remember history isn’t exactly by her side, either?) However, then, Peyton brings up the fact Brooke, when she was mad at her, turned Peyton’s mother into a punchline. Now Brooke seems really hurt and speechless; Peyton ends up saying to Brooke: "My mother is dead, you’re right but as far as I’m concerned you are dead to me either." Brooke can’t believe it.
After a clarifying talk with Deb, Haley and Nathan make it up and go to prom together. She is wearing the beautiful dress Nathan bought for her.
Rachel is leaving. Brooke tells her she should packing too, since it’s Rachel’s house. Reckless Red Hair says, it’s fine… she can stay for a while "Take your time". Brooke feels guilty since Rachel got expelled because of her but the girl waves it off. Then, Rachel makes Brooke promise to make things right with Peyton. Brooke seems dubious about it. Rachel informs her about Mouth’s breaking-up issue. Brooke can’t believe Shelly broke up with him. Rachel suggests a new Clean Teens slogan: "We break hearts not hymen!" The limo has arrived. They says good bye, Brooke tells her she would have never thought to say that, but she will miss her very much. Rachel smiles, agrees and walks away. Then she comes bag and they share hug.
Nathan comes over Peyton’s and apologizes to her. She says she doesn’t care about anybody but Nathan tells her this is a lie. Meanwhile, Brooke finds a present in front of the door: a beautiful prom dress. And it’s clear Peyton brought it.
Prom time… Everybody is there; Brooke, who is going to prom with Mouth, finds out that on her dress it’s written "whore". She hugs Mouth, saying: "She cares!" referring to Peyton, of course. While the music is playing in the background, Lucas drives off to Peyton’s, because she didn’t show up; at the airport, Rachel is looking at her cell phone where there are Mouth and Brooke’s photos and Reckless Red Hair’ expression is sad. Someone shows up at Peyton’s. He’s blond, but he is not Lucas. Yep, it turns out Fake Derek is back in town!

Dan and Lucas start bonding as soon as Dan goes shopping with him to look for the most perfect tuxedo ever. Meanwhile, Haley and Nathan decide to move in with Deb in order to help her out and to save some money.
Brooke gets a great opportunity: Victoria’s secret offers her to add ‘Clothes over Bros’ to their clothing line. Major problem, Brooke has to get Peyton to sign off on the artwork and she definitely feels uneasy, since they’re not as friends as they used to be. When Brooke drops in on Peyton’s, she walks in on Peyton and Lucas kissing. After Lucas walked out of the room, Peyton agrees immediately to sign off. Brooke is surprised about this but Peyton points out she is happy for her. Then, Goldilocks tells Brooke she never meant her love for Lucas to hurt her.
It seems that Rachel failed the pop test, so Principal Turner is pretty sure she stole the exam. Since Haley was tutoring her, Principal Turner has to fire her.
It’s the day before Prom and Nathan has a party. During the party, it is finally revealed the truth about the calculus exam. Rachel actually takes the blame for Brooke. It turns out, after finishing the last test, Rachel switched her test with the Brooke’s one. Having seen that Rachel made a bed test, Principal Turner thought was actually Rachel to have stole the exam previously. Not only does Rachel get expelled but she also gets slapped by Haley, who thought to have been fired because of her. Brooke asks Rachel why she is doing this for her. "Because you’re my friend". Brooke thanks her. Rachel just smiles and goes away.

Meanwhile, Rachel is at home and puts away a box, named Tree Hill High, in which there are a big photo of all the cheerleaders and other photos too. She puts the box near a lot of other boxes, concerning a lot of other high schools, she attended during the years. Sigh.

Episode 4.13 Pictures of You

Posted by Amy with 3 Comments

Overview:

A class assignment reveals the deepest secrets and desires of Lucas and the students at Tree Hill High. Worried about college prospects, Skills turns to Haley, while Nathan wrestles with Deb’s suicide attempt. Chase learns that Brooke cheated on her calculus exam, while nudity and drugs run rampant in the halls of the school.

Recap:

A class assignment pairs members of the senior class together. The teacher wants the couples to learn who their partner really is. They were given a list of activities
1) Share something personal with your partner.
2) Lighten up. Do an impression of a celebrity or a famous character.
3) Admit something that worries you, or something you are afraid of.
4) What do you want to be in ten years? and
5) Tell your partner a secret.
Lucas is paired up with Glenda, Brooke with Chase, Peyton with Nathan, Haley with Skills, Rachel with Bevin, and Mouth with Shelly, the Clean Teen leader.
Lucas shows Glenda his novel. He shares to her that if his novel fails, he wouldn’t know what to do since he can’t play basketball anymore. He says that maybe he’ll go back to Tree Hill and coach. Lucas then helps Glenda prove to her mother that she’s one of the cool kids.
Nathan takes Peyton to the school’s weight room and tells her about how he worked-out there everyday because his father told him he was to skinny. Peyton shows Nathan the knuckle she broke after their 20th split. Nathan tells Peyton that he’s ashamed that he felt a second of relief when he found out his mom attempted a suicide.
Skills and Haley go to the rooftop of the school where Skills shares that if he doesn’t get a scholarship, he would end up working at a factory where his dad works. Haley tells Skills that maybe she’ll teach in ten years. Haley opens Skills’ admission letter that tells him he got a full ride to college.
Shelly tells Mouth something personal, that she started “Clean Teens” after she got her heart broken. Mouth then shares that he wants to be dangerous rather than always being the safe “friend”. They start to really talk and Mouth asks Shelly to prom.
Chase hears that Brooke is failing calculus right before the assignment started. He’s a little annoyed that the girl who was supposed to be tutoring him is really failing. It just gets worse when she admits to him that she stole the exam and doesn’t believe in Clean Teens. Then she tells him about Rachel’s bet that she can’t sleep with him within three dates. The secret is out and Chase tells her that if he can just get her to stop lying to him he may like her. Then, he asks her to be honest with him, once and for all. And she agrees. They make up.
Rachel immediately goes to the bathroom to get high. Bevin tries to execute the assignment but it’s obvious that her partner isn’t taking it seriously at all. They do get real momentarily when Rachel admits that she never felt anything for any of the random guys she hooked up with. Bevin says that she wants to be a guy for one day and kisses Rachel to see if maybe she (Rachel) is into girls. But she’s not. Finally, Bevin tells Rachel that she knows everyone thinks she’s stupid, but she’s not dumb. She just lets them feel better about themselves by treating her like an idiot. She knows who the really sad ones are people like Rachel who need to build themselves up by tearing others down. Rachel looks hurt.
Everyone takes a picture of their own partner, as the assignment says.
